Very good value food - we like the fact that you can mix the salad and hot dishes - go vege or meat or a mixture all for £5 or £7.50 large

I went here for the buffet lunch and ended up getting a takeaway box for dinner too. Everything was absolutely delicious and looked beautiful. It was the best food I’d had for ages, with a real homemade feel to it. Please go to this amazing independent restaurant.

Nice and easy. A plate of all you can eat self-serve buffet style for £8.50. A range of hot dishes plus bowls of healthy looking salads. We had strogonov and three salads. One of the salads had a tasty orange dressing.Then a lovely homemade tiramisu with coffee.Friendly relaxed staff, as the lunchtime rush was finished.Would definitely go back if visiting this part of London again.

Since discovering La Valle a month ago, I have visited the other branches (Foodilic) in Brighton & thought La Valle was the best in terms of flavour. Was happy to return for an evening meal with a friend & though my fave salads weren't available, there were still enough tasty selections. My friend was very impressed with the halal selection in the hot food section. I tried the lasagne again which is always yummy, and also the jerk & Thai chicken dishes. Both were tasty. Also had a coffee & a ginger/ apricot tart to finish. Other than the fact the tart could have done with more ginger & I found a string in the pastry, it was a perfect end to the meal. This place is defo recommended & I will make a point to visit La Valle again when I am next in London

This place is a solid lunch option. A takeaway box is £5 which is very good value considering the quality and choice of both meat and vegetarian options.

Passed the previous day at lunchtime and they had all you can eat buffets for £8.50 which looked quite nice. They seem to be offering a good veggie and vegan selection, perhaps due to name change.Decided to try breakfast, (at 10:00 so towards the end of service). All you can eat for £6.50 (drinks extra). Small selection. Vegan sausages were OK, but awful skins on them that you had to remove rather than eat. eggs (scrambled only) had run out.Was replenished after some wait. Most dishes in warmers were warm rather than hot. Pretty basic. DIY toast came with marmalade only. Tea cheap at £1.60.OK, but have had a lot better (in London), cheaper.They were putting out lunch as we left which looked a lot more appetising (At £8.50).

It's a shame because i love the food and came here regularly with my colleagues, but the older member of staff in there is too rude so i won't be returning.

We found this place in Brighton and delighted to know that London also has two locations. It is healthy, tasty, and quite cheap for London. Highly recommend!

Le restaurant ne paie vraiment pas de mine... la salle est petite, peu de tables et ça ne respire pas la modernité... le personnel était très sympathique. C’était bon mais le choix pas si vaste pour un « buffet »... le prix du petit déjeuner était correct à mon sens.

Was staying nearby and stumbled across- what a blessing in disguise! $7.50 pounds for all you can eat is nothing short of a miracle in London- let alone for tasty vegetarian food. Fresh, healthy food right in the city. All the dishes I tried were super delicious but I couldn't go past the Vegan Moussaka, honestly one of the best things I've ever tried, the vegan bechamel is literally amazing. Will be back for sure!

My friend and I stayed in Brighton and wanted somewhere vegan/organic as my friend has breast cancer, so is restricted with her diet! We were not disappointed and loved all the options available.

The food here is incredible! I've been about 6 or 7 times now and cannot fault it. I love a salad bar where you can help yourself, and the wide variety of food is the best. I love the fresh salads and the thai chicken is melt in the mouth! Highly recommend

we were visiting london for a couple of days and did some research on vegan food places Foodilic popped up Im so pleased ,the staff were freindly and the butterbeans ! you have to try them So so much better than your heinz i had to go up and get seconds of those they were gorgeous . Nezt time we are in London i know where we will be for breakfast .

Beaucoup de plats végétariens, nous ne sommes pas végétariens mais ça donne envie de le devenir, tellement de saveurs avec des inspirations de plusieurs pays. Possibilité aussi de plats avec viande, tout aussi bon. En plus de ça le personnel est super sympa, le repas était très peu cher (7£50 pour lé déjeuner), à volonté, et l'endroit et propre et convivial. Que demander de plus ?

The queues out of the door of people waiting to get into this place tell you all you need to know how good Foodilic is. Really tasty well cooked quality food and super friendly staff. We go here at least 5/6 times a month.

For people who are travelling, join the locals who know how good this place is. It is excellent for vegan, vegetarian and meat lovers. It is a help yourself buffet lunch for £7.50 and you can chose what you like and go back for more. Water is on the table. Other drinks are available as are deserts.

Just popped in for breakfast, it's 5-6 minute walk from Kings Cross station. Great options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters - and good luck finding anywhere with an all-you-can-eat full English buffet for £6.50 anywhere else this close to central London!!!

We stopped by this all-you-can-eat place on the way to Euston and were really impressed. There were many vegan options but there were meat dishes as well. Mediterranean and North African style food and free water. A lovely little place.

Und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Trotz Buffets waren alle Gerichte ausgewogen und lecker, egal ob warm oder kalt. Empfehlenswert!

The salads with kale, mango, avocado, every single one taste amazing plus the frittata or the meatballs, but lately the prices have been raising everytime I go back and as much as I love the food, It's absurd to spend nearly £20 for a lunch every day. Will miss it !

Amazing, healthy and flavoursome food for a very reasonable price...in fact super cheap considering it's eat as much as you like. A varied selection of vegan, vegetarian and meat options in a relaxing environment.

Tried out this hidden gem after reading the great reviews. Small seating area to back with wooden carved stools and tables. Three meat dishes on offer including jerk chicken. Lots of veggie delights to be had. Enjoyed warm butter bean stew with citrus sauce, mixed tomato salad with herbs and jalapeno slices a revelation. At £7.95 each as much as you like a bargain. Checked with staff and after 9pm it is take out boxes only, but very popular. Hope to visit again

For 7.5£ only, you can eat plenty of delightful food, for meat lovers as much as vegetarian-friendly. Large choice, friendly staff, nothing to add, thanks for the memory!

We were rushing to get our train and had left getting breakfast far too late so were amazed to happen past this place - we both got a take away box stuffed full of all we could fit, including couscous, sweet potatoes, vegan sausages, butter bean salads, all sorts! Would love to come back and try eating in some day!

The food is fine and not very expensive, easy every-day food. The salads are rather tasty and both vegan and meat available.

Hoping to return later this week as ate a little later than normal. Vareity was good and one plate enough as the lasange is very filling and delicious. Extremely good value and for the quality of the food is a no brainer.

Me pase su tienda frente y ver la comida en exhibición. Parecía tan agradable así que tuve que probarlo. No me decepcionó. Fue muy agradable. Porciones grandes.

I’ve visited here several times and also a branch in Brighton. There are large trays of imaginative salads to go with meat, fish or vegetarian options, it’s all fresh and delicious. Today I had the vegetarian moussaka with mango salad and a green salad for £7.20 to eat in. Fresh juices are also available. Many people working nearby grab takeaways but at the rear of the place there are unusual bulky tables and stools. Very friendly staff, a quirky but delicious experience which I shall repeat whenever I’m nearby at lunchtime.

Popped in for lunch, and had the £7.20 deal which was excellent with good salads. I had the meat Lasagne option, which was filing and not from a microwave like many places. Highly recommended!

I visited one morning with a friend who is vegan who had researched this place. Staff were not that attentive and took a long time to make my coffee. The avocado on toast breakfast was not as described, toast undercooked and poached eggs rubbery and over cooked. Nice atmosphere and buffet lunch food looked good. Although staff did not seem to know much about veganism for my friend even though they advertise as serving vegan food. Overall quite a disappointment.

I used to come here regularly for lunch and often picked up their half price salads at the end of the day. I stopped coming here as it was quite pricey for lunch every day, so sought out other alternatives, but I recently came back to see what options they had and found that everything had changed, from the setup of the interior to the weighing of food. What used to be a fairly pricey lunch which often came to around just over £8, now cost me almost DOUBLE at staggering £14.67!!! That was without drinks, and whilst being conservative with portion sizes. In disgust, I almost decided to leave behind the salad and not bother to pay, but the shock stunned me so much I just handed over my card and vowed never to come back again! It's a shame as I normally bring fellow workers with me here, though shan't be anymore.

This is a creative really good and well cooked quality take away. THey have excellent 1/2 price deals vefore closing time. Vegetarian, Vegan and Salad is available beside fish, Colourful well prepared and healthy BUT the restaurant changed recently its old system where you were served portions. Now it is self service and the food gets weighed in the end. It is not only more expensive now, you also have to deal with spoons that many touched sunken into the meals. I much prefered the old system!

Friendly service from all staff, fab coffee every time and an amazing self service salad bar. Yummy raw vegan chocolate cake!

I used to love this place and was in there about three times a week at least. The food was so tasty and healthy and you could get discounts after 6pm. It was amazing and the staff were so friendly, especially the owner/manager. Such a shock to go back after "refurbishment" and the self service thing. Prices have doubled. I haven't been back since. Now every time I walk past, the place looks empty, whereas before you had to queue for service. Please please guys, can you see that this business model is not working? You were the best place to get a healthy lunch in Kings Cross - the BEST. I don't want to see it go under. I am a willing customer but I can't pay theses crazy prices. I really miss the way it was...

I work around the corner and used to come here most days for an excellent hot lunch.The staff are generally lovely, apart from one. Unfortunately 2 things have happened which have now made me go for alternatives. The price has almost doubled (now weighed), and they have refused to give us our 10% corporate discount which we had for years. A real shame.

I've been here a few times and most of my vegan friends will swear by it but I think it's just cos its so near work. I really do like their vegan lasagne.

We had such a nice lunch here ! All the salads have so much flavour. The spices added were so balanced. Definitely worth visiting !

This used to be my 'treat' place for lunch, it was always a little bit more than an average sandwich, but worth it for the quality of food. However they have recently changed the pricing structure and the customer is definitely a lot worse off... I could have possibly excused it and made it a monthly as opposed to weekly treat, but it seems that the quality of food is also sliding, the fishcake which has up until now been delicious, homemade and packed full, looks like it has been replaced with a manufactured variety; something much more run of the mill and lacking full flavour, so the prices are up, the quality is down... I think I'm going to have to find somewhere else local to have a tasty lunch! :(

Such a shame to see that Foodilic's prices have nearly doubled in the space of a month. £11 for a salad box??? Really?? Today Foodilic lost a very frequent and loyal customer.

I used to have lunch here very frequently prior to Jan 2017 when the prices went up and the portions went down. Feels like they decided to do a refurbishment and are now charging the customer for that decision. I used to get a cup of soup for £1.80 which also got a stamp on the loyalty card (5 stamps got me a free cup of soup). They now charge £2.80 per cup of soup and no stamps. Prior to Jan 2017, you could get a salad box with lasagna or stuffed peppers, etc, plus 2/3 portions of salad for £7.20. They now have much smaller salad boxes that are priced on weight. I got half the amount of food I used to get for £7.74. The food is good quality but their prices are now ridiculously high. For a restaurant that claims to promote healthy eating, they now do so at very high prices and very small portions.

I went today to collect my lunch having been a regular customer for almost 3 years. Got to the counter and found the lunch which I used to pay just over £7 for was now £13.81!! This is almost double the price!! A real shame as myself and our company used to use it several times a week.... we will not be returning.

I love the food at Foodilic - good, wholesome, healthy, homemade cooking in an area which is still a bit of culinary desert. But as the previous reviewer said so eloquently - they've made a huge mistake with the changes they've made over Christmas. Yesterday three of us went in for lunch and paid an average of 40% more for the same quantity of food than we did at the end of last year. That's completely ridiculous. And such a shame. We all want to support a small independent business but just can't at those prices. Sort it out guys. It's commercial suicide.

Always a firm lunch favourite working across the road, we were eagerly awaiting the re-open after Xmas. New layout is much better and easier to move around but new system is terrible. Having to serve yourself does not mean you are in control of the price - you can't exactly put some back after you weigh it can you?! Plus I am useless with tongs so I split both salads I tried to serve on your floor (sorry).There is no idea at all how much things weigh, e.g. average serve of this salad weighs xxg.I made a small salad box with chicken and it was a 28% increase on previous meal deal price. I could get two pizzas next door for less, I could get a full meal at Nando's round the corner for less...in fact I could eat anywhere nearby for the same or less and get more food for the money.On a positive the food does still taste nice. Made sure to savour every mouthful as I will not be back.Two loyal customers lost and from the sounds of all the other unhappy customers this place won't be here much longer!

Just to keep a friend company, I decided that eating meat was bad - for one day - so we had the vegan lasagne which I can say was very good. On a plate with salad. A very healthy and tasty meal.

Best place to go for lunch if you are around Kng's Cross area and want to eat healthy. Suitable for vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters!

I went with a friend who was vega. There are many items here that are vegan, some not but I think it's more popular amongst the vegans.

Takeaway salad came to over £8 - extortionate! That's the price of a decent sit down meal. The salad is sold by weight, which they must price salad at about the same value as tuna or caviar! The food itself was little better than the £3 salad from the Tesco supermarket around the corner. Avoid unless you enjoy the feeling of being mugged.

I found this place on TripAdvisor looking for reasonably priced vegetarian food near Kings Cross station and Foodilic fit the bill perfectly. My partner and I both opted for the vegetarian lasagne with two sides. We got a hefty chunk of lasagne and the rest of the plate filled with two different types of tasty salad. Very reasonable for just over £7. We ate in which was perfectly fine for us, although there isn't much seating and it wouldn't be suited for big groups. Overall, great choice of veggie food for those wanting a quick lunch but fancying something a bit more exciting than Pret! I'll definitely be eating here again when I'm passing through Kings Cross.

When working in London, this restaurant is just a short walk away. I've been three to four times and love their food. The salads can be viewed from the front window are amazing. There mains are good too. TOP TIP: to save money get a meal deal for £7 something and get a very generous portion of two salads with your main. Buying just salad is charged by weight and will cost £8 to £9 for a plate full. Will continue to visit!

Wonderful food in a small restaurant with an interesting decor. Mainly vegetarian and vegan but so delicious and enjoyable. We will definitely visit again next time in the area. Thank you.

We had stumbled across this place back in April. Just walking past the food in the window looked amazing so we went in ended up having breakfast. Eggs Benedict, perfectly cooked. Stayed at same location last weekend. Decided to go for breakfast again. But was a bit late so had a lunch instead. Main and choice of two salads good size portions. Very hard to choose as various choice of salad mixtures. All looking fresh and delicious. Can't say I understood the weighing of the salad? Didn't get why they did that. ? I had spinach and feta in filo pasty with salad. Partner had escalope of chicken with salad mixtures. We both enjoyed what we had. Going back the next day for another of their lovely breakfasts. I only wish we had this kind of food outlet nearer I'd be in their everyday.

Not a vegetarian, just someone who's likes tasty food and I was more than happy with the lasagna and two salads to take away. Sensational value after 6.00pm. All three items had a clear and distinctive flavor. If I was in London for longer, I could see this as becoming a regular haunt. Enjoy!

Chance had me in King's Cross on a Saturday morning feeling hungry. I passed by this small cafe and peered into the window seeing a variety of interesting salads - nothing spectacular that couldn't be bought as Planet Organic, Konditor and Cook or Ottolenghi. But in a street of fast food chains, it seemed the freshest thing there. I bought a small box of salad (see image) and was shocked to be charged £5.50 for something (even with overheads absorbed) could not have cost more that £2. If it was fabulous then that would mitigate, but it was ordinary fare, outrageously priced. Avoid.

This small unassuming place serves the best fresh salads and mains e.g. salmon, quiche, fish cakes, etc.Perfect for take out to take to the office or a nice space at the back for sit in.Just soooooo tasty!!!!

I have no complains on the service, the man was polite, informative and when he mentioned "The salad is sold by weigh, £1.60 per 100 grams take away or £1.90 per 100 grams to Eat int", I should've opted for going out the door, instead I tod him what I wanted for salad and when I was told the price, I could've done with salad for the rest of my life! Total £6.10 for approximately 4 scoops of SALAD. It was tasty enough but for the price I'm really sorry but you won't be seeing me as a customer EVER!

NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY. Had terrible trouble communicating with staff member. Advised I was vegan and she stated that two of the 'mains' were suitable & in addition all of the salads. This was not the case, my aubergine had cheese stuffed inside it & my salad dressing was made with honey. I only found this out after when I came online and checked the menu. There are no labels listing ingredients which really wouldn't be difficult as I am told it's the same food every day. On top of all of that the lady at the counter was very rude. I explained to her that I was meeting a friend and had arrived there first but she didn't take her eyes off me. Scowling and looking over as I sat at the table. It made me feel really uncomfortable on a personal level and physically sick. Will not be returning.

This is a small restaurant with food prepared by passionate people who understand that good food is about ingrediants. An absolute pleasure. We will definitely be going back and already recommended it to friends.

Probably the only place to get a lot of unique vegetarian bites as well as main courses. Efficient and friendly service and the whole family loves the choice.

My best meal in all of London - period. Just a short walk from kings cross train station. Why is it so good?The food is full of flavors you just don't get elsewhere - combinations like kale with lentils and pomegranate - or pitied with basil and blue cheese - or fresh peas with mange tout and balsamic - and all that with a grilled portabella mushroom with fresh herbs and olive oil for £6. Huge portions and a quaint place to sit and eat and very friendly staff - the flavors and tastes and textures matched with the price is - well, brilliant

My mum loves this place as they do great vegetarian. If i'm in the area, I always pick up the quiche, she really loves that. If she dines in, the salad is her favourite as well.

I know about the one in Brighton so on recent weekend out we came here. Most of my group are vegan so I had little choice...........The food is actually the best vegetarian i've had. There are many varieties and it's all so tasty that you forget that it's mostly vegan.

I have eaten in and taken out. Every time the service has been faultless - the staff are helpful and thorough. The only downfall was the seating. It was a little cramped and not the most comfy seating but the food and service was super.I will be back again...and probably again!

Great range of vegetarian dishes. The place itself is quite strange, maybe not the best design to make it appealing for the people who passes in front of it, but seriously recommended. Prices are more than great and I have to stress the fact that the coffee is really good and the staff VERY helpful and nice. Don't miss it if you are in the area!

I'd been planning a visit here as this restaurant has a lovely concept - veg, vegan, organic. My daughter rally loved it as she is vegan and after having a few bites, I marvelled at the taste as most of us eat for the taste of meat, but the food here really required no help, the vegan dishes were tasty and healthy.We were allowed to take some with us as well. The owner is a very nice person.

Our daughter is going vegan so we decided to surprise her with a visit here and OMG this is probably the best vegetarian/vegan place i've been to in my life. The food tasted so good and she said after the meal that she was going to move to London just for this!

Came here with my family and friends. Friendly staff, huge tasty plates of food with options for all diets and great value. Just wish it was closer to work so I could come more often!

Absolutely loved this little place, so close to Kings Cross St Pancras! For just over six pounds you get a main (I went for the yummy fishcake, my companion loved the lasagne) and two sides, so much we couldn't finish it all! Wide range of gorgeous healthy salads, vegan and vegetarian stuff. The staff behind the counter were super friendly, my only concern was that the food is left out on the counter, but despite this it looked and tasted fresh and the salads hadn't wilted in the heat. Toilets were clean and I liked the tree stump tables and stools. Apparently food is half price in the evenings and you can get takeaway. Can't wait to return next time I'm in London!

Nous sommes arrivés dans ce restaurant en recherchant sur internet des adresses pour manger "healthy' et végétarien.Tout de suite ce restaurant m'a attiré de part sa proximité avec la gare St Pancras (900 mètres). Parfait !Nous avons été très bien acceuillis, les plats sont délicieux, le buffet est varié, il y en a pour tous les gouts. Je me suis régalée. Les prix sont raisonnables !J'ai adoré la salade de chou kale et la moussaka aux légumes.Je suis sûre d'y retourner car ce restaurant est le meilleur que j'ai pu faire sur Londres si on recherche des plats frais et sains.

Foodilic is a one of its kind in my neighbourhood. The food is healthy and tasty and the salad bar provides an amazing diversity. If that's not enough to convince you, pop by post-7pm and get everything half price. I finally tried out the quiche today with two sides for £3.25 and it was enough to fill me up tonight, as well as have enough for tomorrow's lunch.
