An hidden gem of a restaurant. The staff are beyond friendly and more than accommodating, which was fantastic as it was our first time trying Polish food. Initially we were looking to try the borch, the owner inform us it was not vegetarian but gave us some other recommendations and was happy to explain what the food was in detail. Once the food did arrive, it was absolutely delicious, and most importantly, affordable!! It's such an easy recommendation to those who are familiar with Eastern European cuisine, and those who are new to it. Definitely making an effort to try and come back here again!

Food was delicious... Starter home made smalec with meet was one of bestest what I had ever We ordered 4 different dishes and well enjoy them. Everything is fresh , sides are made daily what you can noticed in taste. Pierogi with meet was excellent, schabowy with mizeria and beetroots as well lovely. 🍟fries was one of the best kids saying 👏 ... The menu is short but they have an additional dish of the day .. For sure we will coming back on our visit in Devon or Cornwall 😊

I went to Foodie today for the first time and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The menu is simple, but very delicious. I had pierogi and the Ukrainian barszcz, which were super delicious, tastes like home. The decor could do with some improvement, but tbh with the food so tasty and good company it doesn't really matter as much. The service was super friendly and I'm definitely going back again!

Truly genuine food and a typical family-run atmosphere where they put their heart into it. I am now a regular customer. If you book, ask for the duck.

I decided to try based on reviews, and this restaurant did not disappoint. The food is incredibly tasty and the portion size is excellent. The soups and pierogi are my favorites. On top of it all, the atmosphere is very welcoming and service made us feel at home. Huge recommendations for this place!

We were in Plymouth for the day, and the first we had ever tried Polish food. Phone on the day. They managed to accommodate us. Even though lots of tables were reserved when we arrived. Made very welcome on arrival, by a very welcoming gentleman. All the food was really tasty and cooked really well. Even got a free appetite. Would definitely highly recommend.

What a treat! Went last night for the first time, and will definitely return.....everything was perfect, including the food, drinks (vodka, of course), and service. We had the pierogi, schnitzel, crepe (to die for), and even had room for dessert. Well done foodie!

The trip to this establishment was planned in advance and, unfortunately, it was a ruined evening for our entire company. I especially want to express my maximum dissatisfaction with the service and the food itself, the atmosphere also did not correspond to the money spent. I'll take a different route around this place.

Hello. I highly recommend this restaurant, it has a nice atmosphere and very friendly and smiling staff. Food was very good. We ate żurek soup and goulash soup there, and for the second course we ate pork neck in white wine sauce and cucumber soup. Of course, there are several salads to choose from, so everyone will find something for themselves. Other dishes seem like they would be equally tasty. Another advantage was serving a loaf of bread - it was a slice of bread (it tasted like home-made country bread) served with lard, which was well seasoned (of course, if someone prefers to eat it salted, you have to make it yourself, but that's also a plus, because not everyone likes salty). And after a short time, the waitress brought us our drinks. The only, but very small, disadvantage was that it was cold there and we didn't like the music, because I think that our Polish folk music would add more Polish accent (because we have beautiful songs and other musical pieces) and it would even add a better atmosphere. classical music, calm because it was Valentine's Day. The interior design is very nice, especially the paintings on the walls. Overall, it is very neat and clean. If we are in Plymouth next time, we will definitely visit this restaurant again and I intend to recommend this restaurant to anyone who has not been there yet because it is a very good culinary experience...

the food here is absolutely amazing, i went with my boyfriend as a date and the service was amazing, the food was perfect and the waitress noticed we were on a date so she put rose petals on the table for us, she was so sweet me and my boyfriend both felt very welcomed

Fantastic place. Food at highest quality and excellent real Polish flavours. Todays special was just divine. Kopytka(polish style gnocci) and ribs with mixed salads. All literally melting in your mouth. Compliments to the chef. One more thing restaurant serving as a starter free of charge absolutely delicious home made smalec(pork dripping) with polish bread what a treat 😋. Thank you Foodie 😊

Wiedziałem że taka knajpka istnieje od dłuższego czasu, ale nie miałem kiedy wpaść, żeby zobaczyć jak się prezentuje, i to był błąd! Wspaniałe miejsce gdzie można się najeść do syta, jak u mamy i ugotowane po naszemu. Ceny bardzo przystępne. Jako student będę często odwiedzał :)

Satisfying cuisine at reasonable prices. If you crave a taste of Poland, then here should be your first choice. Lovely, family run, non-pretentious restaurant located in Plymouth city centre. Menu is in English and Polish, with the staff more than happy to answer any of your queries.

First time visit, and won’t be last! Really tasty food, good service, good atmosphere. I was so pleased to see the place busy! The waitress was helpful and accommodated my GF requirements. I am giving 4stars for food just because there was sour cream on my potato pancakes with goulash- the menu did not indicated there would be cream with it- it tasted good so wasn’t an issue. I’ll defo go back and would gladly recommend this place to others. Ps. The borscht was super tasty!!

My górale lubimy smacznie zjeść i do syta nie patrząc ile dudków zapłacimy 🤣😉. Tu zjedlismy i smacznie i do syta zupa gulaszowa przepycha ostra i rozgrzewajacą żeberka palce lizać najlepsze góralskie knajpy by się nie powstydziły👍👍👍. Sto procent pozytywnie dziękujemy i napewno was odwiedzimy jak będzie okazja !!!

rzadko pisze jakiekolwiek opinie, ale ta restauracja skradła moje serce!😍 krem z dyni właścicielki restauracji, który miałam okazje zjeść w halloween to jakiś obłęd, niebo w gębie. Na pewno wrócę spróbować więcej dań z karty z cała rodziną. Mało kiedy spotykam się tez z tak sympatyczną i bardzo starającą się o każdy szczegół obslugą, dzięki niej czulam się tam jak w domu. Polecam!

After waiting over an hour and a half in the cold we gave up as watching service to a family of four come out In four different times and leaving the child to last . It’s a shame as foodie restaurant was a really good place to go and eat but the new owners seem to happy to ruin there business name and allow people nether to return which if they keep this up they can loose their business in this climate

Haven't visited since the new owners but decided to give it a go and was AMAZED at the improvement! The interior is super warm and welcoming, the staff/owner beyond friendly and the food is top tier! I think this is the best Polish food I've had outside of Poland. I'll definitely visit more frequently now =)!

the food here is an absolute 10/10, both chicken and pork schnitzels, mash and our sides were absolutely perfect! alongside the food, the wonderful people that run and work here absolutely made our day and we will definitely be coming back. the gentlemen and his wife were beyond welcoming and made my partner and myself feel beyond comfortable, i would 100% recommend going here and eating in (which we’ll be back to do)! beautiful food, people and place you can’t get any better. Trafiłem na danie spoza menu. Żeberka z kopytkami i zestaw surówek. Dawno tak dobrze nie jadłem. Kucharz stanął na wysokości zadania. Żeberka były dogotowane. Mięso bardzo miękkie i dobrze doprawione. Sos własny nie zagęszczony mąką. Nie wyczułem gotowych przypraw zawierających glutaminian i sól. Kopytka były bardzo dobrze zrobione. Czuło się same ziemniaki. Były bardzo zgrabne i malutkie. Wszystko to było obsypane nacią kpoperka pełnego Polskiego aromatu i smaku. Nie lubię zostawiać niedojedzonych porcji. Niestety były tak duże, że musiałem zostawić pyszne kopytka. Małżonka jadła placek po węgiersku i też poleca. Wszystko było świeże i smaczne. Obsługa też była bardzo miła, a ceny bardzo niskie. Jeśli masz wybór pomiędzy fastfoodem, a zdrowym i smacznym polskim obiadem- wybierz to drugie.

Amazing home cooked food and fantastic atmosphere!

I have never written a review about a service before but I can honestly save that 'Foodies' does not disappoint. We went as a family of 9 for a Birthday Meal. Marek and his team was fantastic. We ordered the table in advance. When we arrived there, we were so surprised that Marek and the workers had gone to such trouble to make the meal such a lovely experience for our mother who was celebrating her birthday. There was a birthday banner, flowers on the table, they put on 'Sto Lat' music so we could sing her happy birthday' to her and even bought her a gift. The food was lovely and arrived very hot. Marek was very attentive throughout the meal, checking on us, making sure we were ok and interacting with our mother and us. A perfect host. A perfect afternoon. If you like tasty traditional polish food in a lovely atmosphere, then this is definitely the place for you. Dziękujemy!

Very cute, homie, cozy place with surprisingly unbelievable tasty kitchen!!! Ukranian Borsch, potato pancakes, golubci, starters... Beer... Everything was so tasty, we couldn't leave before finishing everything! Staff is very welcoming, they played our favourite music, creating wonderful atmosphere. Great oasis in Plymoth!!

My daughter and I went for dinner there the other night. It was amazing. Both the chef and front of house were so accommodating to our dairy intolerance. We had dumplings and pancakes. I just walk out from the restaurant because no one served me for at least 15min. I was so hungry after shopping. There was only a few customers so the place wasn't busy at all. Maybe not enough staff or maybe other issues but definitely l won't come back again to this place. I totally recommend Babo restaurant just opposite. Thanks

My wife is half Polish so she (and I now after a visit to Krakow) know what to expect from the food. Well these guys didn't disappoint. We ordered two types of pierogi; piping, creamy and delicious. Then the potato pancakes with sourcream were perfect with the mixed side of sauerkraut, beetroot and red cabbage. All delicate but so flavourful. We were treated to a surprise schnapps (homemade) and the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive when needed. Authentic Polish food is hard to find. This place is an absolute gem and we can't wait to return!

Was down in Plymouth for a long weekend and happened across Foodie while walking around town. There aren’t many polish places near me so thought I’d give it ago. The food was delicious and filling. Portion sizes were excellent and I ate everything on my plate. Server/owner was super friendly, treating me and my friend like we were guests in his home. Offered us complimentary drinks and wanted to make sure everything was just right. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean. I was actually shocked that the only visible dirt on the black carpet was tiny dots of stuff we had walked in, the rest was spot less. I adored the wall art which was painted by the owner’s daughter and the window display is really pretty. This place is such a gem, I’m so glad we made the effort to walk back round to make sure we ate here. It made me sad that we were the only ones eating there at the time of our visit. This place deserves to have every table filled and a line out the door. Im gutted I don’t have a place like this nearer to home.

It's my birthday and I wanted to go somewhere I've never been for a meal out, so it wasn't just a standard birthday that you don't really remember. I invited some women friends from different parts of my life, checked the reviews and happily booked us a table, mentioning it was for my birthday. I definitely made the right decision! What an attentive owner and friendly staff! The owner made a fuss of me for my birthday, even giving me a rose. So sweet. I ordered some Polish vodka with a watermelon and apple fruit juice, which tasted like a yummy slush puppy. The owner came over with his own schnapps-like drink for us as well. We were given slices of brown bread with traditional poor man's pâté/lard, which was delicious as an amuse boucle. I chose the crispy potato pancake with goulash and some sauerkraut and was in heaven from the first bite. It's spicy but mild and the heat doesn't accumulate to get hotter through the meal, so I was very happy. We didn't get to order dessert because the kind owner came over with a beautiful creamy "cake" with little alcoholic chocolate mousse bites and a candle on top for us all to enjoy. This might have been my first visit to Foodie, but it certainly won't be my last. Cannot recommend highly enough. Polish hospitality was very well represented here tonight.

The server was lovely, he was very friendly and served us quite quickly despite the fact that he was the only server (that we could see) The place itself is charming and quite small, but it wasn’t packed, and quite quiet. Well decorated and kept clean. Our food was brought out quite fast, and we enjoyed the food thoroughly. Definitely a place to go if you would like to try some good Polish cuisine!

My partner and I ate here for the first time. The owner was really attentive and friendly, he even played Croatian music for my Croatian partner which was nice. The free bread and traditional spread was delicious and he also gave everyone in the restaurant a free shot of his homemade liqueur. We tried the meat and the cottage cheese dumplings and I havent stopped thinking about them since. I could eat them everyday. I had the pork schnitzel main with cabbage salad, I inhaled the whole lot. My partner had the potato pancake with Hungarian goulash, she said it tasted just like home but it was such a large portion her and I couldnt finish it. The environment was lovely and the price was very reasonable. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. See you again soon

The schnitzel was amazing and the pork so tender. Very understated from the outside, but warm and comforting once you walk through the door. Will be back to finish the rest of the menu off.

Really tasty food and good solid portions (so much so that the server mentioned that they can do take out boxes if it was too much for one sitting) Definitely amazing food cooked with love. Will be going back to try more of the menu. The Polish honey beer was really good too.

My wife and I visited almost by accident, despite the restaurant being very conveniently located. The food was excellent- I would presume authentically Eastern European- and very hearty. Absolutely excellent. I had the chicken and potatoes, which I couldn't have enjoyed more. Big portions. It's worth commenting on the ambience, homely and unpretentious in the very best (and most tasteful) way and with truly welcoming and friendly staff. A bit like one of those 'authentic ' restaurants you discover on holiday and rave about - only right in the middle of Plymouth. I couldn't recommend it more highly and a welcome addition to the established European favourites of Plymouth. We'll certainly visit again. 10/10.

Stunning food, good alcohol and most of all lovely staff. Konnie was lovely and the chef not sure if he was the manager of chef but either way was a perfect night! We had a group of 8, the pictures don’t do it justice it’s really cute inside at night with the lights compared to pictures taken by people during the day.
