Decent cafe with nice food for lunch. It felt slightly under-staff when we visited, but nonetheless this is nice place for a lunch break

Nice environment as clean and comfortable but the staff had no knowledge of the food on offer and the portions were miserably small. Got half a veggy breakfast in my opinion. Shame as the food was actually very tasty, just not enough of it. Order messed up as myself and my partner had finished ours before our sons was served up but staff did apologise for this. Nice place but could be better. Not for the hungry!!

We walked past this cafe and thought it would be an excellent choice for a drink and sandwich. The actual quality of the food was very average and nothing special. Therefore I was expecting average prices. My mistake for not thoroughly checking the menu prices. The cost of the drinks and food was totally overpriced and I will check out other cafes in future.

Popped in for lunch and ordered Welsh rarebit on sourdough bread and was surprised with the super tiny portion for the price. It came on a side plate, did not taste or look anything more than cheap cheese on a 2 inch circular sliced baguette slightly toasted...not even a side salad.

Average coffee - tasted like it had powdered milk. We ate Welsh rarebit which was a heavy cheese on toast and laverbread hash with poached eggs. The eggs were beautifully cooked, but there was no taste of laverbread just unseasoned mash.

This was our 2nd visit here. Staff were great, it was clean and tidy but well overpriced for what was provided.I had beans on toast (with a poached egg as extra as I was starving). It came on a side plate: one dry piece of thin white toast cut diagonally, 2 butter portions and a small ramakin of baked beans.. plus poached egg.One slice of toast?? The beans on toast without additional egg they charged £4 for. We had 2 lunches of this nature, 2 teas and it cost £15.There won't be a 3rd visit.

We decided to visit for breakfast after friends recommended. Our experience was unfortunately very disappointing and have since discovered this place is under new ownership. We were not made to feel welcome and the staff member out front of shop was rude and abrupt. Food was ok but very expensive for what was. On paying the bill I was told that AMEX is not accepted only after successfully paying with the card. The staff member thumped the worktop and put his head in his hands swearing under his breath infront of my 11 year old son as well as other numerous customers. When I asked if there was a problem he said “ yes we get charged too much for AMEX and it’s too much work for us”. He turned his back on me and continued to sigh. I felt extremely humiliated in front of everyone in the shop. I offered for him to refund the card and start again with another payment method and was told “ I don’t know how” The chef came and said it was no problem. The staff member referred to me as “ she has used AMEX” when he was asked what was wrong!!!! As I walked through the door the staff member shut it behind me and put the blinds down. I felt like I had been thrown out !!! I would avoid this place.

We walked in as a family of 8 and were immediately told it was a 20 minute wait and then made to feel very uncomfortable very unfriendly staff who were out right rude when they shouted at us that we could not use a table for 7, and they did not accommodate us at all even though there was comfortably enough space within their lockdown rules. The food looked beige and other customers shook their head at how we had been treated as we walked out.

After looking on TripAdvisor for a cafe in the Pembroke area that was open on a Sunday in early March this year, my friend and I decided to have afternoon hot chocolates here. We were very pleased with the creamy drinks and I also opted for a brownie (they were under a cover so I wasn't worried about food hygiene). The brownie was HUGE and really gooey and delicious. The whole place was very clean, including the toilet, and the service we received was pleasant. I hope that I get to visit again as soon as cafes and restaurants are allowed to be open again.

My friend and I have been coming here for years and yes we are local .The new owners have changed the menu to a more limited all day one which is fine if as they say its all hand made and produced in the moment. Unfortunately, the choice of cakes and their quality has become very hit and miss .For years , it has not been the best choice for tea and cakes as the cakes were always dry and slightly stale but it was a convieient eating place and the atmosphere ,friendly staff and varied menu compensated for it . On our latest visit ,there was one plate of cakes .On first bite , I discovered a dark hair in it . Not very appetising as I'm sure you will agree.! Now , lack of staff and a pathetic cake display has convinced us there is no reason to return. A great shame .

We were handed the menu by the owner and decided to go for small breakfast and small it was, we opted for this as there was no other English breakfast available. One egg, 2 rashers of bacon and a handful of beans and 1 round of toast. All of which were cold. The owner only spoke with locals all in all a big disapointment and over priced at £17

My family and I came in for food on Tuesday and were directed towards the specials board. The young waiter explained that it wasn’t their usual menu. Never the less it looked great! We had pancakes for the children, my husband had the avocado on toast with poached egg and I ordered the hummus board. (Prior to writing this review I did read another review regarding the speed of the food arriving at the table and I must say we didn’t share the same experience) The pancakes arrived first and mine and my husbands shortly after. (20/25 mins max) All the food tasted and looked FANTASTIC. The hummus board was pleasantly large enough and the pancakes were great for the kids. My only criticism would be the avocado on toast could be a larger portion. Maybe salad on the side or something of that nature but overall we thoroughly enjoyed the meal! We could see that it was fairly busy and it was just the one waiter taking orders, making drinks and serving tables but we still had good service. We asked the waiter about Pembroke town and the castle and he was very helpful! (Sorry we forgot his name) We aren’t from Pembroke but will definitely come again when we are back.

My family and I have visited this place multiple times, so we decided to have lunch here today. We have never had issues in the past, we had our first one today. Firstly, after ordering, our food took over 45 minutes to arrive, and when it did, we were all very disappointed. My daughter ordered poached egg on toast with no avocado, which is probably the simplest thing you can make. It came as a very small portion, with only one tiny slice of bread, that wasn't even toasted. I ordered the Greek salad, which was very messy, and the olives used were very salty and unsavoury. The order was also ridiculously overpriced. When we complained that we weren't happy with our meal, we found out that there were only two members of staff in the whole building, neither of whom were chefs. Come on guys. Pull yourself together.

The meal was overpriced for what we had. I complained and the waiter apologised and said hopefully it will be better next time! For me there won't be a next time which as a local person saddens me! We had two wonderful meals at Williams on Saturday. Firstly breakfast - I had a full welsh breakfast with locally sourced ingredients and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent (very friendly young lady) and there was a lovely relaxing atmosphere. After a long walk on the coastal path we returned for dinner (I believe they've only recently extended hours on a Friday and Saturday due to popular demand) and we were treated to one of the best meals we've had in Wales. We both chose cocktails to drink before eating because at £7 why would you not? My wife chose the duck breast to start and I had scallops and both were beautifully cooked and seasoned. We both ordered lamb for our main and it was lovely as well as plentiful - I can't remember when I've had better lamb. We couldn't resist desserts and again were not disappointed - my wife had the Welsh cheese platter, all four of which were a delight and I had a chocolate praline and salted caramel delice which was (by now) predictably superb. The next surprise was the very favourable bill - we'll be making a special trip to Pembroke very soon for the sole purpose of eating at Williams again and it'll be worth the 400 mile round trip!

Visiting Pembroke and looking for breakfast before visiting the castle. We got slightly lost trying to find our way to the High Street from one of the carparks, but the tiny alley we eventually found took us out directly in front of this lovely place. Husband had the full Welsh breakfast which he declared as 'perfect' & I ordered yogurt/fruit/granola which in many places CAN appear as cheap yogurt/watery defrosted berries/slightly soggy oats with a couple of raisins.... not here! The greek yogurt was gorgeous, the 'fruit salad' was actually fresh kiwi, blueberries, stawberries etc fanned out on the plate, and the granola was so full of nuts & luxury dried fruit served in it's own 'Kilner jar'! Fresh tea, made with tea leaves too! I would love a local place like this.... they should open a sister branch in Kent, I'd be keeping them in business single-handedly!!

I could not fault the service, the lady who served us was lovely and welcoming, the drinks (coffee and tea for us) were delivered quickly and they were lovely, we ordered and the food came quick enough that we weren't starving and slow enough that you knew it hadn't been thrown in the microwave.... :o We both found our breakfasts were delicious.

The staff here were so friendly, we showed up several times - mostly for coffee, as they use thick, rich cream and brown sugar in fresh, strong brew: Perfect. The 2nd visit, they let us sit by the fire on comfy couches while we waited for transportation to arrive. Very cute cafe. A great stop in Pembroke - right near the castle, too.

We had two Welsh Breakfasts. As good as I would make at home for myself. Everything was grilled and of an excellent quality. Nothing on the plate was greasy or oily - not even the fried egg. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Met some friends in Williams and felt really good about it. The restaurant was busy which I find is always a good sign of the quality of food on offer.

This is a lovely place but very expensive , for the food you have you could go somewhere else and get it just as good , too expensive for what you get
