I will give 4 stars out of 10. They need to supply good food to customers (value for money) . I haven't seen in restaurant cafes or any where serving chips on the piece of newspapers and Customer toilets needs to update .

Visited the bistro for the first time today.Sorry to say I won’t be rushing back.! I would love to have enjoyed a burger, but I refuse to pay £21 for a burger and chips .! Ok the burger was 10 oz but how many customers would eat a burger that size at lunch time.! 8oz burger and chips for £15.95 more like it ! Looking forward to eating the pies ,sausages, scotch eggs and gala pie also purchased today ,have to say they do look lovely.!

If I could give a zero I would have. Beyond terrible! Without doubt the worst cup of “coffee” I have ever had. A single cafetière with enough ground coffee inside to provide light brown water and no more. Tasteless dishwater. Smashed avocado on toast - AKA warm sliced bread with chopped up either over ripe (black) or rock hard pieces of avocado, 5 warm cherry tomatoes, rocket leaves on the top and NO DRESSING. when this was requested I received an espresso cup full of olive oil!! Such a shame that this place is being run by people with clearly no idea.

Terrible. Horrible service. Food poor apart from the waffle dish, unediable and rip of prices. Flies everywhere. Owner keeps posting this is a working farm. Been to loads of farm cafes and farm shops and have never been infested with flies. Disgusting. Need to employ pest controllers. Would advise anyone new to the area of visiting to avoid at all costs. Look pretty outside but shame does not match. Also says is a cafe but has choosen to stop selling coffee variety in this day and age this is what people want.

I've been here a number of times over the past few months with my elderly parents. They just want a run out somewhere that is pleasant, clean , and has helpful staff. Flower farm is all of these things. A proper tea pot. A nice selection of cakes. The toasted paninis are great. We've learnt that one between my parents is more than enough for them, along with a side of chips. They don't skimp on the fillings of the paninis, and they are very filling. The only downside is how far away the toilets are. It's okay for me, but my father is on a rolator and finds it a bit far away (especially if it's a cold day!)

A shame. We went for breakfast because Blossom in Godstone was closed. To start they don’t offer any coffee other than filter coffee, which is £4. The freshly squeezed orange is nice but full of ice and again £4. My partner ordered a granola fruit bowl type deal and the menu stated “layers of crunchy granola with a berry compote”. What we actually got were oats instead of granola and jam instead of compote. This was £9 I had a breakfast which was fine. Nothing special but was £13 for bacon, egg, sausage, hash B and beans. Overall it was just a bit meh, quite expensive and not even that good. I also asked why they didn’t offer latte or cappuccinos ect, the waitress said they don’t offer this because they are concentrating on the food. Which is odd because the chefs make the food and not the coffee 🫣. The waitress just shrugged and didn’t really have an answer. Happy to speak to management if needs be

Upon arrival, it was really unclear whether it was bar or table service (it’s bar). Was greeted by a hundred swarming flies outside and a less than enthusiastic member of staff behind the counter. Ordered a coffee, Diet Coke and 2 sausage sandwiches (£23). Drinks came pretty quickly. Half an hour passed, so I asked a waitress how long the food wait would be. It wasn’t overly busy. She said she would find out…..She didn’t find out, or come back to update us. I then went to the bar again (wait time now 40 mins) to just ask for a refund. Turns out our ticket hadn’t even got to the kitchen so god knows how long we would have been waiting if we hadn’t asked for our money back. Don’t waste your petrol driving there.

I can only but echo (and add to) similar recent reviews. Charmless lack of welcome on arrival. Table sticky, wrong order taken. Eggs tasteless, bacon poor, beans poor and toast £1 for two slices of toast from a £1 loaf of supermarket bread. All of this despite having a bakery, butchers and chickens on site. No fresh orange juice. Advertising as a bistro, whilst having to order from counter and pay before delivery, is stretching things a bit. The flies are still there and they seemed more interested than the staff. As we left, we offered a thank you (not sure why) but we were ignored. The shop staff have always been friendly and helpful. Hard to imagine the 'bistro' staff can't do the same course or is it a separate business ? I hope someone there is reading these consistently poor reviews and acting on them but seems not.

The feild to the side of the building is great for eating with children as they can run around and burn off energy. I would say more toilets are needed and perhaps a deeper clean. Found the food really expensive for what it was. The choice was very limited, especially as they had no pizzas available. Also no children's menu. Don't think we will be returning any time soon. Having used the farm shop many times we (a couple) decided to try the bistro for breakfast. Walked in and received no acknowledgment from either of the two people behind the counter. Asked if we could simply sit down at an open table and were told yes, so we proceeded to sit at one of the many available tables, two others were occupied, a group of four or five ladies and a table of three. Waited for 5 minutes, no one approached us so I got up returned to the counter which now had four staff doing various things. Asked for a menu and was told they had a large party in the other room so there were no menus available. No offer was made to find us one so I returned to my seat thinking they would be trying to resolve the issue asap. Diner at the table of three got up and went to ask for menus and one of the staff fetched three menus from the table of ladies who were now receiving their hot drinks. No menu given to us and five minutes later we walked out right past the same counter with no acknowledgment. Loads of flies circling in the restaurant which was off putting anyway, Will not be returning and will use the farm shop a few miles away.

It’s a very odd one! All farm shops are more expensive, it’s a given. They don’t have the buying power of supermarkets. They also champion & support smaller businesses by getting their produce on the shelf. So don’t expect cheap. However I do think £9 for two scotch eggs is a bit much. Yes they are big. But that’s a lot of money in anyone’s terms. But the good news is you don’t have to buy it. It is a choice. The Butchers looks beautiful, honestly it’s a lovely display which they clearly take pride in. The let down is the lack of cleanliness of this place. Flies are a problem everywhere & so are ants. But surely in a place where food is sold & also cooked & prepared for consumption? Surely the emphasis needs to be on clean? Yes it’s a Farm. But it’s also a food shop & an eatery. The Farm label does not excuse dirty. We saw flies crawling inside packs of scones. So we didn’t buy them. All the staff were polite. However I think they could do with support in the guise of cleaning the place up. They are working hard to make everything look good while hundreds of flies buzz around. Flies are attracted by rotten decaying things. Like bacteria. A start would be to scrub out the toilets, scrub the internal floors, eating tables & chairs. And keep them clean. Basic hygiene. The cafe staff look under pressure having little time to wipe a table down. Racing around all the time. Rustic is in vogue. Great. It doesn’t mean you have to give up on hygiene. The presence of security is a bit of a worry. I hope the staff do not experience back lash for the issues. The sad thing is, a good clean up. And a regime of clean would lift this place & put it where it should be. I hope they decide to get to & do it. We have been going there for years. But for now no.

I booked afternoon tea for 10 people for an after-funeral wake/reception yesterday. We arrived a little late (came from Crawley Crem) but staff were waiting to greet us and show us to a beautifully set up area under a canvas cover. It was a lovely setting and the weather was kind. Two picnic-type tables were laid with mismatched china, water and glasswear etc, with spares of napkins and more on another table, with a stack of seating pads too. We asked for two more comfortable chairs for elderly parents and they were brought quickly. The afternoon tea was gorgeous - beautiful large, light and warm scones on cake stands with cream/jam/beautiful strawberries. One scone each first, then the second one arrived warm from the oven. Tea pots and cafetieres were delivered and nothing was too much trouble. After tea, we all ordered a drink from the bar to toast our brother/son/friend on his way. Having been 'in the trade' for many years, I was delighted that the tea was so beautifully and kindly delivered. Would highly recommend The Flower Farm for such a family occasion. Well done to you all!

How bizarre to get rid of coffee options in the name of being a restaurant. Great big unfriendly sign saying the decision is down to the time it takes staff to make corfee. How about training staff faster l, hiring more or getting better equipment? I’ll miss brunch at flower farm and poping in for a coffee and browse in the shop-, no interest without good coffee available- coffee is what the people want! Will be venturing to priory farm in future where nothing is too much for their customers. I get quite a miser feeling visiting flower farm these days. This place was dire, tables all felt sticky and unclean, coffee cups were stained and there were clouds of flies everywhere particularly in the covered area to the loo which when I got there was disgusting, taps were broken and the light didn’t work. The place where they sell the meat and veg was also infested with flies and shelves were unclean . The meat counter had flies buzzing over it . There were no fly killing zappers to be seen. Also frustrating no meat products were priced not that I would have bought it anyway. I realise this is a working farm but I am not aware of any animals being particularly close by to warrant the truly awful fly infestation my horses and dogs poo has less flies on than this awful establishment. Needless to say I shall be in no hurry to return.

When I asked for scrambled eggs (on the menu) I was told they couldn't do that. Poached? They couldn't do that. Only fried. Any vegan sausages? No we don't do those. Not the best start to build a breakfast or accommodating the customer in a fresh preparation area. When the food eventually arrived it was tasty and well cooked. People danced, just because they paid for the experience... and maybe a little drunk. I spoke to some of the band, who wore traditional clothing, and they had NO idea where the colours of their clan clothing came from? .. I did, and it wasn't German.... Pity, but not surprising. It was am arranged day out c/o NHS but have to state that the staff at the Farm were great they worked tirelessly to ensure all of us were looked after. Constantly running around delivering food and drinks to tables not easy !! But they continued for hours to serve with smiles 😃.

Popped in for a couple of bits of fruit and some inspiration for lunch . Lovely fresh food. Spoiled only by the dismissive service from the lady on the delicatessen. Maybe we didn’t spend enough ?

Excellent farm shop with huge choice of meat, vegetables, fruit and packaged goods. Decent cafe with friendly staff. Pick your own farm, currently raspberries. Has big events at large seated outdoor area at weekends. Overall a very interesting and worthwhile venue. Recommend a visit.

Fantastic evening sitting in the sun with friends and family being served by friendly staff. Food was good and fairly priced and entertainment was first class. Will be back for further evenings throughout the summer months. Thanks.

Farm shop has everything you can want and very helpful butchers. I'm afraid coffee shop leaves much to be desired. It's a shame could be so much better . Lack of food or anything decent to eat . Need somebody that knows what there doing could be a gold mine.

So disappointed, staff, service and prices were absolutely terrible. Lemonade poured from a Morrisons bottle on the bar then charged a ridiculous price. Most of us had burgers, they were good, albeit a bottle of mayo just plopped on the table .. My friend had the roast beef, said it was chewy, veg was cold and she had to ask for some condiments and gravy. 4 of us were still eating our food when one staff member came over and started clearing the table, we couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t busy, a couple of other tables that’s all, yet Uncollected dirty glasses everywhere even over the bar, yet when we ordered more drinks we were told they had no large wine glasses so we had to finish ours which they washed up and then put cold drinks into warm glasses!!! When it came to pay the bill I had to wander out to the back area and call for someone as yet again they were all out the back. Then they added 12.5% service charge to the bill which I thought was disgusting for a free house. Not impressed. Very overpriced and shocking staff and service.
