Fantasitc meal. I would even say it's the best takeaway meal we've had in a long time. They were very polite and accommodating with regards to my partners food sensitivities and my enquires about the meal. The flavours of the meals were absolutely beautifully balanced and was a stark contrast to any other takeout in recent years. All came with extras that we didn't expect, but very much appreciated. Thank you all.

Garlic naan was missing from the delivery

By far the best meal I've had in forever. We started with poppadoms and chutney- incredibly light and tasty. Chicken korma was unreal, as was the lamb biryani for main (wait for the sauce to come out before digging in!). I had the cheese Naan and we had a plate or peshwari Naan - both fantastic. The Tikka chatt for started had a beautiful kick to it and was full of flavour. The added extras that we didn't expect just topped everything off. We had mushroom soup and a vegetable pastry complimentary. This is by far a 5/5 star meal at unbelievable prices. I can't recommend highly enough. Only managed to get a couple of pictures as we scoffed it down as soon as we got the chance. Presentation is stunning. I'd recommend booking if you can, we arrived at around half 4 and by half 5 the place was filling up with reservations. Service incredible. Highly recommend.

Had an absolutely wonderful lunch at their 'special' price. Two courses, plus amuse bouche and palate cleanser, for under £15! The staff are lovely and the food really excellent. Will definitely go again.

Amazing! Absolutely love this place. We usually eat during afternoon menu offer, but the last three times have ordered on line and it’s just as brilliant and warm as being in the Ramsgate restaurant. Keep it up guys

Obviously 2nd delivery. Food was too cold to eat without microwave. Tasty but uninspiring. Won't order again. HOWEVER, We eat in restaurant frequently and can't fault it. Go to the restaurant, enjoy great food, good service and its only about £6 more.

sorry guys but what on earth happened :( the food was very very poor tonight. never known anything like it. the prawn starter was fried to death. Rock hard. no sesame seeds or flavour. everything tonight was so bland. we've eaten in and had a few takeaways and they've never been this awful. The bread ... it was stale and flat. looked like a shop bought bread. again, not had this before. the icing on the cake was a lump of gristle on my chicken. Really quite shocked to be honest.

Great food and service. We loved the little amuse-bouche dishes that they serve between courses.

My husband & I went for lunch whilst staying in Ramsgate for 3 days. We had read good reviews which was why we chose to eat here. We were extremely impressed with our meal & agreed it was one of the best we have eaten in recent years. We were warmly welcomed & menus brought. The set lunch was very good value with a large & varied choice of starters, mains & desserts. We were brought tasty complimentary starters whilst we waited which was a nice touch. Our chosen starters were excellent, notably the gobi kempu - fried cauliflower - which was superb. Before our main courses were served we received a very tasty complimentary cup of sweetcorn soup. Mains [chicken korma & fish curry] were beautifully presented, accompanied by generous helpings of rice & naan bread. We could not fault anything - everything was so tasty & we enjoyed every mouthful. We were nicely full so did not have the opportunity to sample the lovely sounding desserts. This was a wonderful meal & extremely good value.

So disappointing- some nice flavours, spoiled by over a 2 hour wait for mains, yes we had starters, yes there were some freebie appetisers - but someone has seriously taken their eye off the ball here and filling up a plate or bowl with peppers and onion , whilst hiding a few pieces of pressure cooked lamb that had disintegrated- does not constitute a good Indian dish and does not constitute good value for money. Table of 6 tonight - based on my recommendation- left totally underwhelmed - as was evident by the amount of food left. Chicken Biriani lacked any flavour, chicken Saag full of saag no chicken. I won’t be rushing back unless someone gets their finger out and delivers the food and service that they used to - such a shame as they used to be so much better than this , now - not even a good Indian restaurant - there are so many better value options .

I had such high hopes for this place, but alas it was not meant to be. The starters were good - a different take on dosa and crispy onion bajis. However for me, the chickens tikka was a little dry, but my kids and wife thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered the prawns as a starter, but these were simply deep fried prawns with panko breadcrumbs and did not resemble the menu description. The were tasteless and very disappointing. However most of the food presentation was top notch and the flavours were indeed good for some of the dishes. The mains were just awful. The naan was not fresh and looked like it been store bought. Such a let down. Perhaps they were down on kitchen staff given that it was Diwali? Would I go again? Actually I probably would if I knew it had a fully staffed kitchen. Guys, sorry for the negative review, but you aren't a million miles from having a good restaurant.

We were recommended this restaurant from one of the bar staff in the mariners rest,she said it was really good Indian food,we were not dissapointed ,the staff were freindly and attentive and the food was fantasticand the prices very fair,all in all a great meal

The food was among the best Indian we have had (and we live in London). The service was excellent. They even gave us some appetisers while we were waiting for our mains and they were beautiful. Prices are low considering the quality.

Food was delicious, amazing vegetarian choice, incredible value for money, and friendly delivery staff. Zero faults to be found, highly recommended. The aubergine mash was a particular delight.

I visited this Restaurant quite early in the Evening and I was the only customer at that time. Unfortunately the atmosphere was somewhat subdued! I have been a couple of times before and remembered that the specials on the blackboard resulted in some excellent but a little different. I therefore ordered the Lambs liver starter, and the Lamb chop main. I was not disappointed! Before the starter I was presented with a small aperitif which was a couple of mouthfuls, but packed a punch! The lambs liver was excellent and presented beautifully. Then a small cup of spiced mushroom soup, again powerful and tasty. The main course was tandoor lamb chops served on a crushed potato bed, and accompanied with plain rice and a generous cashew sauce. I drank a 500ml Pale Ale from a local brewery (Gadds No.3). The meal was fabulous!! I don’t live locally but if I did I would be here regularly. The bill was £26. Bargain.

I cant recommend Kumars highly enough. The staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. What's extra special here is that they bring you out tasty little plates of food for free inbetween each course. Also, if you like your curry made a little hotter or milder you only have to ask. They also have a fine selection of beers and wines all at reasonable prices.

Our ' go to' Indian restaurant (Ramsgate branch) for both lunch ( dine in) or delivery. Our recent dine in lunch experience was outstanding with the complementary bite size treats served , a real bonus. Unusual starters included delicately spiced lambs liver but then all our dishes were from different regions of India , including Karnataka and Goa. What is special is that the food is prepared fresh, and customers can actually see the chefs at work in the kitchen. Everything is also so nicely presented at the table. There is also a degree of authenticity with no hint of Bengali/ Bangladeshi food masquerading as Indian. As good as it gets for a brilliant medium budget experience.

Unfortunately it wasn’t for us. Far too spicy everything tasted the same. Well over flavoured tasted like cumin or coriander. We literally had a couple spoons of everything then it all went in the bin.

Don’t bother going anywhere else. Authentic food. The amount of lamb and chicken in each curry was amazing. Big pieces of meat too. And even better unlike most curry houses seems like the meat has defo been cooked in the curry sauce rather than pre cooked and added to sauce. I could cut the lamb with a spoon! And the chicken was moist and lovely. From now on I will only use you guys!

Had lunch yesterday. Really good, and fantastic value. All dishes were 100% with really fresh flavours and well presented. We particularly liked the tea cup of vegetable soup between courses, nice touch. Staff very very polite and pleasant. Would definitely recommend, we will be back soon.

Very delicious food and we didn't wait longer times for food. Restaurant seems very hygienic. The owner and his wife is lovely and we definitely go again! Totally worth for money.

Been here a lot of times and the service is great really friendly but this time round I’m not sure if they have changed their meat supplier but the chicken was terrible it was like eating tough jelly my wife had the lamb sagg and the bigger pieces of lamb we inedible they did knock off £10 but won’t be using for takeaway or the restaurant again very disappointing as this was our 4th yeah wedding anniversary 🙁

A close friend of mine from Shrewsbury booked a meal for 8 as he loves his curries. He asked for his dish to be extra spicy as usual , whilst the rest of us just ordered the standard dish . My wife had a chicken Biryani as this usually is quite mild . Her dish and in fact everyone’s was very hot / to hot in fact for most of us . There was no visual chilli rating on the menu and the waiter did not ask any of us how spicy we wanted it. My friend who ordered his dish extra spicy said afterwards it was the best curry he had ever tasted. The waiter offered us yogurt which helped a little . I just feel if the restaurant gave some guidance on spice levels all 8 of us would have been happy. Oh yes - one more thing , the kitchen is in full view ( normally a good sign I would say) but the light switch was very greasy which was not a good look and made me wonder about general cleanliness . PS I have never given a 2 star review before and am not a moaner!

Hi end dining at very reasonable prices. Excellent food and service. Anil Kumar really knows his flavours and perfect presentation of the food he serves. Lovely extra touches to surprise you while you wait for your meal. So good we went twice while in Kent on holiday.

Excellent value for money (lunch menu 12-2pm) Very flavoursome and Excellent portion size even for starter. Great service and a hidden gem if you want something different to the usual seaside fish and chips.

We were a party of nine. Service was good and I thought the food was really good . Including a couple of small freebie dishes that accompanied the meal. One of the nicest Indian meals I’ve had outside of India. However several of our party found their meals to be too spicy - including Biryanis which are normally mild. There are no indications of “heat” given on the menu which is a shame. The toilet facilities let the place down a bit - definitely need upgrading.

Amazing food the best Indian food I have had in a long while. Don't let the decor put you off, this is a must go place. Very reasonably priced and service was excellent, the Amuse-bouche were unexpected but delicious, the Goan Salmon tika just amazing. Definitely will be coming again and again.

When we arrived we were sat right in front of the aircon, it wasn’t a particularly hot day and I didn’t fancy sitting with my jacket on, so I asked if they’d turn it off, they moved us to another table that was next to the door and also had the windows open. Unlike most Indian restaurants they don’t try to rush you between courses and you also get a couple of taster items. We ordered a platter for two, which was 4 starters but wouldn’t pick one of them again, another was cold and another’s flavour over powered the flavour other three. The main courses come with plain basmati rice but if you order two mains you only get one bowl of rice, the main I chose the sauce had a funny taste and the beef was a little tough. The fish main was very tasty and the fish was cooked perfectly. I wouldn’t say it was a bad experience I would chose other dishes as the food was plentiful and the staff were very pleasant, the restaurant was very busy with customers and deliveries and takeaway collections.

Went to Flavours By Kumar last night after reading great reviews - we weren’t disappointed! Despite not booking, the staff managed to squeeze us in and the food and service were amazing. This is probably the best Indian restaurant I have eaten in, and would highly recommend to anyone. Best to book beforehand as it was jammed when we went. Thanks to the staff for a great dining experience

The driver turned up saying he’d been to the wrong road. Then when I opened the bag there were no popadoms. The food was tepid at best and for a korma it seemed more spicy than usual. Very disappointing from what is usually a really good restaurant.

One of my favourite restaurants, stunning cuisine. Everything cooked in front of you. Multiple courses fine dining. Amazing lunch menu which is very reasonable in price. I have visited on many occasions, if I want to impress anyone this is where I take them.

What a fabulous Indian this is, from the service to the food it was faultless. We went early evening and had a wonderful amusebouche followed by a little cup of the most delicious soup, had a king prawn biriani and a lamb dish both were amazingly tasty and to finish Kulfi ice cream, so nice to find somewhere that serves Kulfi. Will definitely be back again when next in Margate.

I have never taste anything like it! As a foreigner in England (French) I always have a hard time finding good food in the UK, but this is a gem! Each bite is fireworks of flavours and spices on your palette. Everything tastes so fresh and homemade. I will definitely recommend it to everyone who enjoys real food. My compliments again to the chefs. We will come back!

Kumar's is an Indian experience that is one the best I've ever tasted. Not being an Indian fan as such,I was bloom away by the dishes we had, absolutely first class & we will definitely be going back

I was greeted by a wonderful venue just a minute from the centre, yet in it's own little corner of Effingham Street away from the bustle of the busy town, a very calm and welcoming atmosphere. I was brought to a table immediately without a booking which did not cause any issues whatsoever. I found the restaurant comforting to be in and absorb my surroundings. Usually starters can be rather hit-or-miss but there was no question with my Stir Fry Squid - the portion size was perfect with a surprising variety of sauces as well as the poppadoms and dips served with that. The squid is the greatest serving of a seafood plate I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. Along with my remarkable main course of Goan Fish Curry, I can truly confirm this is the #1 Indian restaurant/takeaway in the area of Thanet, and the best I've had. I was also surprised by a complimentary soup between my appetiser and main which again demonstrates how Flavours by Kumar goes above and beyond expectations, like no other, to make the meal special. The service by Louis was so prompt and kind that this absolutely secures Flavours By Kumar close to my heart as an exceptional choice for a romantic date setting, a formal occasion and also a family venue. The ultimate Indian dining experience, none can do better!

We ended up at Kumar last night and honestly, coming from a Caribbean background I’ve had many curries, but the food at Kumars was mouth-wateringly delicious with lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for you! An amazing restaurant which I will most certainly frequent again (and again!) Thank you for the beautiful food:)

I never write reviews, but ... this was the best Indian food we ever had. The flavours were exceptional, the dishes were beautifully presented, the prices were affordable, the service was great, and they were happy to adapt any vegetarian dish for a gluten-free vegan. If you are ever in Ramsgate-this place is worth a visit.

Well this has to be the worst Indian food we have ever tasted also the worst experience, We asked for tandoori prawns to be told they do not serve them this is a tandoori restaurant,? so we ordered 2 separate king prawn dishes mine with...

The guy that he owns this restaurant well about a year ago, he was shouting at customers and we decided to walk out - Year on last week we turned up again, he told us to take a seat. He had a creased up suit on and told us to sit down. When i sat down, I nearly went through the chair. He was making us hurry up and order. He was very erratic and shouting at us. So again, we got up and walked out. It seemed like he was just in a hurry to get our money and then chuck us out because it was closing time. He needs to learn about people skills
