The most EPIC pizzas and amazing for gluten free - if you have coeliac disease they take cross contamination seriously and the staff are super helpful. Plus the pizzas are HUGE! Great atmosphere, I just love it here!!

A solid 5 star yumtastic nosherie. Our party of 3 + dogster enjoyed steak, pizza and burger. Will be trying the takeaway in a day or so.

I was recommended the flame factory for a birthday meal and it did not disappoint. Great selection of drinks.The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the service was fab and they even provided us plates and a knife for the birthday cake! Friendly staff, great pizza. A simple menu but all the better for that. The pear and blue cheese pizza is a must try, and is even better if you add walnuts. What an excellent find in Appledore.

“Best pizza ever” was my wife’s verdict. I had a steak and it was excellent as well. What makes the place stand out is the service, all the staff were just so friendly helpful and efficient.

Wow! Everything was perfect here from the warm friendly greeting and service from the staff to the sublime food and drinks. Fully booked for a fairly busy Saturday night but timing of everything was perfect. Gluten free pizza base was nice and crispy; and a far cry from the squeaky cardboard pizza bases you usually get elsewhere. chips were excellent and the antipasti platter tasted sharp and fresh. Would definitely return when I'm next in the area and book in advance to avoid disappointment. 👌

Service amazing, Ryan was absolutely brilliant and the waitresses. Pizza 9/10 all day long every day, takeaway as good as eating in which speaks volumes. The owner Matt is super experienced with Pizza restaurants and has worked his way up from the bottom. He even give us a lift home, excellent all around we will be back. Top 3 pizzas I've ever had in my life up there with the best indi pizzas in the UK. Really should enter UK pizza awards. Very reasonable price and superb value. Consistently awesome. 👌

We all absolutely loved it. The food is amazing, and the service was too. My boys loved the pizzas only downside is it only opens in the evening at 5.30 we did try to come for lunch before we left just so me n my husband could try the pizzas (we had the steak previously 😋) would definitely recommend always busy 😀

What a wonderful place! After a long day of exploring Cornwall, my three companions and I were trying to find a late meal in Appledore, but every eatery had closed its kitchen. It was looking bleak for four hungry travellers. Then we came upon the Flame Factory, also preparing to shutter after a busy day. Their ovens were shut off, their tables cleaned and staff were finishing up. As we began to shuffle off, the manager ran after us. "The fryer's still on," she called. And we ordered up a simple feast: several fries with cheese and pulled pork with a couple spectacular fresh salads were utterly delicious and perfectly hit the spot. But most of all, thanks to the kind and solicitous manager and staff of the Flame Factory who stayed open a bit longer to feed strangers!

Such a great place. The food was delicious and staff were so friendly and attentive. Pizzas had a good thin crispy base.

Best takeaway pizza! Unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked (not surprising considering how good the food is) so got a takeaway instead. Ready in 5 minutes and hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long time.

Great taste. I had a takeaway, took 3 pizzas, all were good. The place had limited tables, better to reserve a table before going.

Generally OK. Staff were pleasant. But ... Wasn't obvious you have to book (I had tried calling earlier in day but no answer), so assumed walk ins ok. London prices. No children's menu. No high chairs for the outdoor tables.

My wife and I was staying local for our 13th wedding anniversary and decided we wanted to have a meal here. It was a great decision! The service we received was exceptionally good and the food was faultless. This is a small family run business and it showed in both the quality of the food and the level of service you receive. This place is well worth a visit. The pizza was amazing. The whole setting is worth checking out. I did see steaks on the next table and they also looked the dogs! The service was really excellent. You must give this place a go!

Tried to book a table told they only had set times at 6 or 8 only yet people came in at 6.35, 7pm etc for their booked table. Sat us on a framed 2 when it was empty, yet other couples were put on 4s after. Drink menu limited. Food was OK, liquid came out of pasty, had to Mop up with a napkin. Younger wait staff were really friendly and helpful. Toilets were not clean.

This place does consistently good crispy bottomed pizza , there's plenty of seating outside of you fancy takeaway style but book for indoors.

Slightly overpriced for a takeout pizza £15. Slightly soggy centre due to the toppings, it also had not been cut very well, with it being a takeout we had to pull the pizza apart to share it, most of the toppings pulled off with the first slice being removed. Doubt I will return for a takeout. I would probably return to sit inside with a knife and fork to eat.

Fantastic Pizzas and great friendly service, especially love their Roasted Veg Pizza as well as their BBQ Chicken and The Factory Pizzas and their French Fries too! Would definitely recommend to anyone 👍

Most of the pizzas we ordered were great but the "sharp and salty" was very disappointing - wrong sort of anchovies, marinated and not salted, and too much onion which made the whole thing soggy. Back to the drawing board for this one I think. Great service and some nice wines.

As a local taxi driver I often get asked where are the best restaurants to eat at and I only recommend ones that I have been. I must say from start to finish I was very impressed even though I’m not a big fan of olives I thoroughly enjoyed the starter and the ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and the blue cheese sauce just amazing. The service was so warm and friendly thank you so much, I’ll highly recommend you to my clients.

We tried the Flame Factory twice, both time with take aways, on separate days. First time with a number of pizzas, including vegan which were all delicious. Second time with steaks and burgers and again, they were delicious and cooked to perfection. Great service and super friendly staff. We had a pulled-pork and chorizo burger, a couple of steaks and a calzone, as well as thick-cut crispy chips. All were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. And, from our seats we could see the pizza bases being thrown. We look forward to going again.

Excellent pizza selection that you can eat in or take out. Staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Fast service and piping hot food in modern surroundings. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

Not bad for where it is but pretty vang average pizza

4 amazing pizzas, super fries and purple slaw. So tasty, you can see your pizza being thrown and cooked. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Very small restaurant so booking is advisable seating is available outside on a first come basis.

Kicking place. We turned up on spec o Sat evening to find it fully booked. However, the dude taking carry out orders couldn't have been more helpful. Order taken, beer dispensed fir what was warned to be a 30 minute wait and the most fabulous food delivered in well under half that time. We hope to secure a table this week but either way, we'll be back. Highly recommended.

Was a lovely meal but Saturday night Transport without wanting to drive is a bit... unreliable. Taxis & busses unavailable. I recommend the lil Ferry Boat to Ilfracombe beach kind of feel to it but think they're seasonal

Managed to get a last minute booking whilst visiting Appledore. Food was excellent and served quickly, really friendly team and a great atmosphere. Will definitely try and book again when we are back down that way.

The only place to go for pizza in N Devon. Lovely pizzas, excellent friendly service & dog friendly. Couldn't ask for more for ourselves & our pooch!
