Five Guys in Brighton and Hove

Very poorly run. Every table was covered in old food and packaging. The same tables you are expected to eat off with no tray, ended up leaving and eating outside. Full of the worst people. I like five guys but dodge this one and go into town to get it.

Lets just say this is not my first rodeo with guys, but five at once.... OMG! It is an experience I would recommend to all to try. Definitely put having five guys in your mouth on your bucket list.

We have visited for late lunch. We were served and had our food cooked by Evelin. Great service , and the food was yummy! Thank you for a great experience and delicious food! 5*

Five Guys delicious food. Only negative, the room had too much of an echo and background noise 🙉 Couldn't hear the person opposite me! Could hardly hear the numbers being shouted out. Five Guys - you can't help the noise from the kitchen but switching off the music would help (which was inaudible anyway, due to the room echo). Simple sound deadening ceiling tiles may be the answer. If I visited again I'd eat outside so I can chat with friends. I'd go back just for the milkshakes alone, they are absolutely amazing 👌.

Food is dece, completely overpriced. Also, they don't check the orders and we have often been left with half our order missing. They also said they will just throw away all the food that they forgot to give to the delivery drivers- real good for the community and environment. I would recommend to stay away, and rather order from a local place that actually takes care of the orders and their customers.

We visited for lunch today as a treat for my son as a post exam treat. We took his friend who had never been to five guys before. Eve our server was absolutely amazing. So patient with our five guys newbie and helped us celebrate finishing an exam with a memorable experience. Everything was cooked fresh and delivered beyond expectations. Thanks so much for offsetting a stressful morning for the boys. They loved it.

I ordered and paid without paying much attention to the price, but after I checked the bill I was shocked. £30 for an adult size burger+fries & Childs burger+fries & one soft drink. That’s way more than an expensive plate of food & a kids dish in a good quality restaurant. The burger was good, but not even close to worthy of this high price. All empty tables were filthy and we had to wipe down our own table. I’ll eat somewhere better value in future.

We ordered £80 worth of of food for 4 people just burger and chips and one milkshake ,as a treat for our friends birthday,it took well over a hour to be delivered and she lives literally 5 minutes by car away from marina,when it arrived it was lukewarm,the chips were disgusting,total waste of money if we had called them it would have been another hours wait to rectify the order,so we had to microwave it,we would have been better off ordering McDonald’s to be honest .wouldn’t bother with them again.

First visit to Five Guys, server explained how things worked before we ordered and advised against ordering a portion of chips each. Was definitely the right option, we went for a large and regular for 4 of us and it was more than enough. Burgers come with either 2 patties or a smaller option with only one. You’re able to choose the fillings for a good list meaning that everyone got exactly what they wanted. With the milkshakes there was a good choice and you can combine as many flavours as you want. Service was quick, restaurant was clean

helpful, attentiveness, hard working staff but the only veggie option - veggie sandwich - was totally tasteless and super expensive. Was hoping the filing would be super flavourfu but there was zero just a mouthful of oily onion in a bun. first and last five guys. giving two purely for the staff hustle but cant give any for a tasteless burger with no burger.

Had our first and last ever visit, was total chaos, very pricey and I was up all night being sick with pains in stomach, all I could taste was oil(could even smell oil) also the chips were so salty

The overall impression is one of colourfulness and cleanliness. However, when you order and stand at the counter, there are numerous chips underneath the friers. The place is well staffed and I don’t understand why these chips and debris aren’t being picked up. The surface of the drier was wiped down and the contents went onto the floor without being picked up. The cloth used to wiper down the surface was then placed above a bucket of uncooked chips. Attention to detail is everything and whilst the food was good enough, expensive but good, it only takes a few moments to have a spotless environment.

This was the very worst takeaway I have ever experienced. The food was so atrocious that even our dog left the room in disgust.

The hot dogs were amazing and I really enjoyed them I had 2 the milkshakes are really tasty.... my partner had the burger 🍔 with 3 burgers and mayo and with everything ... it was tasty and also the chips tasted really good as well recommended to any one

Disgusting customer service. First of all, the restaurant doesn't have sanitiser to clean the hands (in a pandemic that is unbelievable), specially with the type of food they sell you use your hands to eat it. They don't have any staff outside the kitchen area cleaning the tables and helping the customers. All the tables were very dirty. Even with four toilets in the restaurant, they only have one not locked for the customers and that toilet is completely disgusting. I went there to complain and ask them to opening another toilet and they treated very rudely, showing me their backs. It is a expensive fast food restaurant that does'nt care about their customers. They treat the customers if they were doing you a favour selling us the food. I will never come back to that place again.

I love Five Guys… or did… first one since the pandemic – very exciting… but chips only just warm and slightly chewy, I suspect they have been hanging around… Cheeseburger only just warm… All average at best – not good enough for £12 of burger...

6:25pm. The Q for ordering was ok. The price I felt was high. £34 for two cheeseburgers, 1 x large fries and three drinks. Already disappointed by the price I queued, and waited, and waited. The tickets numbers don’t seem to have a particular order...

Really fancied a milkshake, entered to see no queue and only 2 families sitting and eating. Thought my luck was in, no wait, in and out with my delicious chocolate milkshake. I was mistaken in my confidence. I placed my order and went to wait...

So I ordered s milkshake and it was put on the side with no number called, I went to the counter to ask if it was mine, it was, I asked for a straw and was told there weren't any, I asked how I was...

Dirty cups, tables, toilets. Everything was dirty. Soggy dry burgers and flat coke everything was over priced. The only good thing to come out of the £40 meal were the cajun chips they were pretty good. DIRTY!

Was really craving a 5 guys milkshake and some fries, went into the store at 8pm and the staff said it was closed and were cleaning up. The door said it closed at 11 and they technically had 3 hours left open! Fuming

Don’t bother using the Five Guys app at this store if your planning on eating here. The staff don’t seem to understand how to use it. Waited over 20mins for my order to be shouted out witnessed many other diners who’d ordered after us at...

Visited Five Guys at Brighton Marina for a treat. Unfortunately on this visit the food was not up to the usual standards you come to expect from Five Guys restaurants. The bun was squashed and tasted stale. The meat patties were dry and unappealing with...

Maybe it’s me, but a very very average burger, wrapped in tin foil, so that the bun sweats up with few options of toppings that for 2 people costs £30. Just dreadful, if this is a franchise, it should be closed, Unclean surfaces, litter everywhere...

Expensive, chips were rubbish for potatoes the cost was ridiculous. 1 drinks machine working and they neglected to tell us there was no Diet Coke when we paid. Then to top it off no toilet roll or soap in the toilet so not a nice...

The food is awful and expensive. It not worth at all just small burger and small fries and regular milkshakes cost £14.45 for my son . Never ever going back to five guys restaurant.

When we went here last year, it was "ok" but this year it is as bad as McDonalds but at a double price. I had a Cheese Dog and Cheeseburger... Both were insipid with no soul in the food. The condiments in the burger were bland and didnt compliment anything. BUT THIS IS IT. THIS WAS MY LAST EVER VISIT TO FIVE GUYS INTHE UK AS THEY HAVE NOW LOST THEIR SOUL TO COOK BURGERS WELL! Most Expensive Burger Lesson Learned and I shall cherish and share forever. GOOD BYE FIVE GUYS. Never giving you a penny. Not worth my palate!

Simply scrumptious! Made perfectly to order the burger was to die for. The chips were delicious too!

La cena de Five Guys anoche, ordenada a través de Deliveroo, fue la peor comida para llevar que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Pedí el sándwich de queso vegetariano y mi compañero la pequeña hamburguesa de tocino. La entrega prometida fue de 20 a 30 minutos, lo que es estándar para un sábado por la noche. Tardó una hora en llegar y cuando lo abrimos, la comida estaba fría como una piedra. Mi sándwich de queso y verduras estaba aplastado y vil. Verduras frías en un bollo flácido con una rebanada procesada de queso de sabor desagradable. (Tenga en cuenta que no hay una hamburguesa vegetariana con el sándwich de verduras, es literalmente un bollo con algunas verduras fritas). AMO FiveGuys, comido en varios en todo el mundo. Esta visita fue una decepción. Mira personal super servicial y buenas medidas de distanciamiento social pero la comida era terrible. Fui a cinco chicos en el centro de la ciudad de Brighton, que antes era carluccios. El personal fue fantástico y muy amable y servicial. Podrían haber sido miserables, pero estaban felices y nos hicieron reír e incluso me dieron una muestra gratis de un batido de tocino porque no podía creer que existiera. Gracias

Aparcamos en el puerto deportivo y caminamos hacia Brighton y los niños remaron en el agua. La hora del almuerzo significaba tener una sabrosa hamburguesa y papas fritas de Five Guys con Eat out para ayudar. A los niños les encantaron las hamburguesas y patatas fritas. Me sentí seguro con las nuevas medidas. Me las arreglé para tomar una mesa afuera y debido a que estaba ocupada, la mesa aún no se había limpiado, pero cuando se nos preguntó, la limpiaron de inmediato.

Esto fue a la vuelta de la esquina de nuestro hotel ya que no estaban cenando.Ordené en línea y fui a recolectar, buena señalización para decir dónde recolectar.Pedido recogido, tuvo que esperar 2 minutos para que las patatas fritas se cocinaran frescas sin ningún problema. Las hamburguesas son increíbles y el batido de caramelo salado es casi una comida en sí mismo.Definitivamente regresaría, aunque un poco más caro que la mayoría de las tiendas de hamburguesas, pero no está de más darse un capricho de vez en cuando.

Una de las dos hamburguesas faltaba en nuestra entrega. Llamé al restaurante y me dijeron que todo estaba allí cuando se lo entregó al conductor. La persona en el teléfono honestamente no podría darle un tirón. Incluso el recibo adjunto a la bolsa solo mostraba una hamburguesa allí. Ah, y la única hamburguesa que entregaron estaba absolutamente fría. Un servicio realmente espantoso para cualquier entrega, pero este atuendo no es precisamente barato para hamburguesas en primer lugar. Nunca volveré a usar.

Calling this a 'fast food' joint is a bit of a misnomer. But if you want to wait 30 minutes for a ridiculously overpriced (15 pounds for a burger and chips!) meal then this is the place to come to.

Fuimos a este restaurante ya que mi nieta quería ir allí por su gran error de cumpleaños.La comida era demasiado cara y demasiado salada.Tenía una hamburguesa con queso que venía envuelta en papel de aluminio y, cuando la desenvolví, había un bollo muy empapado que contenía la hamburguesa y el relleno, pero todo el queso de plástico se había derretido y pegado al papel de aluminio.Mi esposa decidió que, como no es una gran fanática o hamburguesa, tener el sándwich de queso a la parrilla que resultó ser solo un bollo al revés a la parrilla con queso y cebolla en el medio y nuevamente envuelto en papel de aluminio, cuando se abrió todo el queso de plástico se había derretido del moño y se había pegado al papel de aluminio, dejando solo un moño empapado con cebolla, no era lo que esperábamos en absoluto.Las papas fritas eran realmente muy buenas y serían aún mejores si pudieran contener el uso excesivo de sal.El lugar estaba limpio y los baños muy limpios, pero ¿tenemos que ser ensordecedores con música rock fuerte mientras comemos?Creo que esta será mi primera y última visita.

A mi esposo le gustan las hamburguesas y los batidos de Bluewater, así que pensamos que iríamos a este. . . . . qué error, tuve uno de los peores sándwiches de queso, solo dos tostadas con un poco de queso en el medio envuelto en bacofoil, asqueroso, deberían avergonzarse de llamarse a sí mismos un restaurante.

Everyone recommends these burgers, but after opening the foil all I got was a squished Burger and cold bacon.I had to put on some extra ketchup to make it somewhat better. I do like the fries but these guys overdo it with the salt.Pretty expensive for what it is, and doesn't live up to all the talk

Five guys had been highly recommended to me by lots of people so I decided to give it a try.

I'm so disappointed, it's probably the new famous burger company, yet it's no better than McDonalds.

I've had Five Guys in the US and was excited when this franchise came to the UK. The ones in London were mediocre and not the same. So as the years have passed and a new location in Brighton, I thought that they had surely got it down to be the same as in the US.

Came here for dinner on a week night. We both had double cheeseburgers and chips. Could have just had one lot of chips as they were good portion sizes. Great service and would defo go back for dinner again.

Visited today, The venue wasn’t busy at all. We really enjoyed the service we received and the food was tasty and cooked really well. The visit was going really well until my daughter needed to use the WC. After a minute or so she returned saying they were to dirty to use with both urine & faeces on the floor!

Gave this a try to see what the fuss was about. While the food was nice and the place was clean, I absolutely cannot justify the price. The food wasn't that great, just good.

First visit at 5 guys. I was really impressed. Fast, tasty and filling. Got a 11 years old soon who is fussy but he absolutely loved.. Good place with a lovely view.. Will recommend it to my friends.

Visited here for our twelve year old son. Facilities where dirty rubbish all around toilets were filthy with poo all over men’s toilet. Over priced and dirty .

Stopped by on our way home to take some food back and unfortunately it was poor neither of us actually got what we ordered, although the foods still fine you order what you want for a reason so it's a bit annoying especially when your paying these prices for the burger. Plus we took it home so it's not like we can quickly go to the counter and change it.

Burger was cold and limp. Chips were, while not black, definitely over cooked and nearing burnt as they were extremely bitter. Dissapointing that the prices advertised above the till are excluding VAT. I know food comes with VAT but come on its 2019 include VAT in the price advertised so there's no surprise at the till. £27 for 2 people's burger and chips which would have been better from McD's and a third of the price!! I don't mind paying for quality but this was far from it! The music in store is heavy rock/metal and on extremely loud - so much so the staff have to shout painfully loudly for people to hear their order number. We hence chose to eat outside, tables needed a wipe for sure. Overall, a rubbish experience for what was meant to be 'the best burger in the UK etc etc etc'! We didn't speak to staff about our concerns at the time as we couldn't tell who was in charge, and we didn't want to go back into the noise and mayhem! In comparison to other Five Guys stores where we have had a pleasant experience the Brighton store is awful. Thanks but no thanks.

First visit and can't believe how good the food is. Decent service, and peaceful marina setting. On the more expensive side but worth it. 1 portion of chips is enough for 2 people though.

Forget the golden M .....this is the place for burgers and fries.

My daughter took me here first time I had ever been in one , living in london you get cynical about the bland restaurants that seem to be overtaking central london I was pleasantly surprised

Got to admit that, whilst a bit pricey, the burgers here are fabulous and nice idea that you can add up to 15 different 'fillings' . And with unlimited refill of the soft drinks and very wide choice of drinks (diet coke lime - lovely ) it all makes for a great experience.

We have been a couple of times now and enjoyed our food every time, it's important to note the following.

Visited here for a quick lunch recently. Both of us had hot dogs, which were excellent, although smaller than expected for the price. As it was only intended to be a light meal, we ordered a large portion of fries to share - the portion was massive and more than enough for two of us. Not many people in at 2pm on a Monday so not much atmosphere and not particularly cheap either. Would certainly like to try the burgers next time.

These burgers are delicious- only thing is they are slightly pricey. I also had the oreo milkshake and fries, again both very good. My only criticism is at the time we went (Tuesday evening), the atmosphere was a bit awkward. The staff were friendly, just the vibe was a bit weird.

Came here last night for the first time with a group of friends. The burger and fries was absolutely delicious and i cant wait to come back :)

This is hands down my favourite fast food burger place in Brighton. The service is always superb and the staff are always friendly and willing to help. The burgers are to die for the cheese and bacon burger is my personal choice, you choose your base burger then choose what toppings you like to fully create your own burger experience, the Cajun fries are a must, and the milkshakes are on another level would defiantly recommend you try this place out.

I dropped in with my 14 year old son for a bite to eat before going to a football match. The service was quick and very friendly. The lady explained exactly how it worked, we ordered and sat down at one of the many tables. I went for a cheese and bacon burger with all the toppings and my son went went for a cheese and bacon hot dog. The burger was simply awesome. Juicy and fresh with lots of toppings, all in a tasty brioche bun. This was one of the best burgers I have ever had. My sons hotdog was equally as good, although we had both expected it would be a bit bigger, based on the price. Cajun fries are a must, as is one of their shakes if you can manage it.

I waited 20 minutes for a burger and fries on a Monday lunchtime when the Deliveroo orders were clearly taking priority.

Spoke to a “manager” called Maria who hung up on me when I rang to say that my order kept being pushed back, and was more than 40 minutes late. Maria was rude, raised her voice, and not only that lied about our order leaving the building when in fact it had’nt- confirmed by deliveroo that it had not. Such a shame because deliveroo was really helpful, when in fact Maria was not at all.

The quality & taste of the food was outstanding although this was reflected in the price, which was on the medium-higher end for a burger, fries & soda.

Burgers are very good here -as in all FIve Guys. However even the small fries are doubly massive in the traditional American up-sell way and with a small drink you are looking at £12 for lunch. This is far too much and could explain why the restaurant was empty bar two people when I went in. Though two left and another two came, I ate a silent and gloomy lunch and feel that this FG is in the wrong place at the marina. it needs to be amongst the others.

very overpriced- the burger was very greasy and sloppily put together- fell apart in my hands. not much flavour even though i ordered cheeseburger ‘all the way’. fries were excellent, skin on full of flavour- but way too much salt, so could not finish a ‘little’ fries. milkshake also waaaay over priced, but very delicious. if you like a burger this style you’d be better off going to the burger brothers in brighton.

Went with a friend and had two burgers and shared some fries. The burgers were succulent and cooked to perfection and very tasty. We shared some fries and to be honest we couldn’t eat them all. Pricier than other burger places but you definitely get what you pay for.

Worst burger I tried in Brighton. Uncaring staff. Definitely my last time. Overpriced and heavy. Bad service.

Have popped in a couple of times over the last month or so and ordered a range of items from the menu. Really enjoyed everything I’ve ordered and often want to go back up and order more. Only thing to be improved would be if the tables/eating area were clean as there is often rubbish left lying around that hasn’t been cleared away.

Went here with family. There were five beautiful hard working young ladies making milkshakes and burgers. They were so patient and caring. The burgers were amazing as ever. 10/10 in my book + the harbour view. PLEASE DONT BELIEVE THE GARBAGE COMMENT ABOVE COMPARING McD TO FIVE GUYS. NOWHERE CLOSE! BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CARDBOARD AND GIVE GUYS BURGER.

First visit, again on a special request from my son. Popular mix and match system to create the burger of your liking. Taste is good, if not to say great. But what justifies the triple price of a burger at McDonalds which doesnt taste worse either? The fries by the way too soft, and the waiting time after placing the order too long. The taste recommendable, the cost not.

Visited Five Guys for a pre-movie meal with my wife and two children. Were I reviewing the food alone it would be five stars. The burgers are spectacularly good, the fries quite amazing. Difficult to fault. That said, it was £53 for four burgers, four drinks and two large portions of fries, we had to wait 17 minutes for our order, on what was a quiet night, the restaurant was a mess, the tables had evidently not been cleared for some time and there was food waste on the floor. Finally, there was some form of flood around one of the drinks machines which extended into the loos, and with which nobody appeared to be dealing. As I said, amazing food but no one seemed to be minding the store.

It's OK. On the pricey side for a burger joint. No-one is going to leave hungry, but when you pay over £60 for two adults and three kids, you don't expect to be handed a single brown paper bag with all the food just thrown into it - literally - the chips all spill out into the bag. I suspect it is supposed to be part of the style/experience, but for that sort of price I didn't expect to have to go and fetch the bag when my number was called. It wasn't busy - they could bring the food over for that price range. The food was good...but I sort of expected posh burgers on plates...not wrapped in a bit of foil. It was OK but I won't be hurrying to go back.

This place definitely does the job! Very filling, mushroom burger with cheese and the spicy chips perfect pair 😍. Not to mention the milkshakes!

£15 was all we had in the world that day. At other burger joints, two people could have dined and drank, but here we had to go short on most of the experience. So, we budgeted for a cheeseburger and a little hamburger. That's £12.70. Couldn't even have any fries with the £2.30 change. I did ask, but the server wasn't capable of off-piste initiative and my aged white-haired appearance didn't stir any thoughts about customer service .

Spent the day in Brighton, decided to east at the marina, we noticed that more restaurants had opened and chose Five Guys, this is one of the new style of burger restaurants, they make your burger to order in the open plan kitchen and whilst the prices are on the high side the food was good.

The food here is amazing, the cajun chips to the burgers to the milkshakes. All of this is beautiful, however, very expensive! The staff are helpful too! Recommend

For me, Five Guys is just fast food like any other burger takeaway, however ordering items separately rather than in 'meal deals' makes it more costly. A basic burger isn't too pricey, but when you add the extras like toppings, fillings etc, this alone can be quite expensive. Then you add a drink and fries and it's easily £25 for two of you to have fast food burgers and chips.

While this may seem expensive for counter service fast food, the food you get is of a high quality! If you want cheap and cheerful, go elsewhere! The burgers are great and the milkshakes are even better! The fries are huge and you could easily share a portion!

After a disappointment at nearby Wetherspoons "West Quay" and obtaining a refund for a cold burger, I needed feeding so popped into Five Guys for the first time ( I live near Brighton Marina) on a Wednesday night. Looks very bright and modern and noticed that they make a big thing of their fries, with sacks of potatoes stacked in the restaurant (for show? ..... to say they are not made from processed potato powder!). Ordered a cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, onion & jalapeno at £7.95 and nearly fell over at the price of the fries at £2.95 for the smallest portion. Skipped the overpriced cold drink (Cola, Fanta etc., £3.15 that include a free top-up) and settled for water (free) instead. Collected my meal at the servery and looked forward to eating it as it was prepared fresh before my eyes..... Soon disappointed, the bun was soggy and bland, like the cheap burger buns from Bookers. The filling was edible ... but what let the whole meal down was the fries ... a small paper-cup filled with skinny chips that were like the leftovers from the night before's fish and chips ... they try to con you into thinking they are some sort of delicacy because they have their skins on ... I have thrown better away and would be too embarrassed to serve them to my guests, ...and they have the cheek to charge £2.95 for them (inc. VAT) ... A RIP OFF. ... another tip ... if you fancy a milk-shake go to McDonald's around the corner, less than half the price for the same drink. ...

First visit to Five Guys,cheese burger was amazing ,you get what you pay for ,more expensive then some burger places but quality is amazing,fast service ,staff friendly,one think I did note so recycling friendly,plastic straws ,drink cups have wax,food wrapped in foil,not where to recycle waste such a missed opportunity .

I took my son out for the day at Brighton marina which we had a lovely day until we went into five guys which was our first time and will be the last!

I don't feel I go to Five Guys as much as I want to, but I've never had a bad experience there. Burgers always filling and just amazing. When you think, 'oh I want a big greasy American-style burger', this is the place to go. Chip portions are always a little over generous so nearly always share one between two. But never any reasons not to return.

Kim our server was very rude and unhelpful. Not clean and untidy. I complained, was promised Lunch on Us vouchers but have not received any compensation. Eat your burgers somewhere else.

It's burgers and chips. Very nice burgers and chips too. The store was clean, the staff were pleasant and the price was about average for this establishment. No complaints with the quality of the food or the portion size. I definitely feel I got my money's worth. I just found the music to be excessively loud to the point where I felt I had to raise my voice to speak to the rest of my group... I understand the music adds to the atmosphere but I don't think it would hurt to turn it down a bit..... If I visit again and the weather's nice, I'll return and sit outside....

My husband and I decided to pass gbk and go to five guys! What a mistake , we order 2 burgers, chips and drink! Arrives 1 burger , chips, drink! We explain to the guys that only 1 burger came, they agreed they had made a mistake , then totally ignored us and expected us to queue again( which was huge)!!!! So we ended up sharing the burger! What service!!!!!!!!

Really disappointed with our visit today. Been to 5 guys in Bluewater and was amazing.
