Amazing fish dishes, excellent value early bird menu in a nice location. Amiee looked after us impeccably!

Just the best place to eat in Harrogate. We went again today for a Mother's Day meal and had another excellent meal. The Lobster Masala is so delicious that three of us chose it. This time I had Prawn Yakisoba. It is all just so tasty and fresh. It was quite busy today - just cannot understand why it is not packed out all of the time. Saying that I am quite happy - It's our secret place!

Fabulous lunch at Fisk yesterday. Very quiet. Food was delicious and great value on the 3 course set lunch, and the service from Amy was excellent. Highly recommend

Fabulous quality across all the dishes ordered. What an absolute treat for a foodie! Now to go back and work through every delicious dish on the menu. No holding back on portion sizes of quality ingredients either! Can you have too much langoustine and lobster? Amy provided excellent service throughout the evening catering for our every need. If I could give FISK another star, I would.

The food is superb. 12 of us with a variety of dishes, all said the food was fabulous. The young front of house staff were polite and very nice, but for an expensive restaurant I would expect there to be a senior manager organising service, greeting customers and making sure things run smoothly and to time. It was fine, but a bit disorganised and amateurish.

The food here is OK and the staff are polite and efficient. What spoils it is the tired looking surroundings (the photo’s gloss it up!) and a lack of attention to cleanliness of the things like the place mats which are covered in stains from previous users. Bizarrely the waiter proceeded to spray great quantities of a strong CIF type product onto surrounding tables whilst we dining only to replace the scruffy placemats! We complained that we could taste the product which was hanging in the air and he continued! The toilet facilities also leave a lot to be desired.

We wanted a special meal for the first night of our reunion and chose FIsk based on great reviews and a great location. It did not disappoint!! Our waitress Amy was friendly offered excellent advice on food and wine choice and her complimentary cocktail was much appreciated. The decor is very sophisticated black making us feel very special. The food was beautifully flavoured and did not overpower the fish. Dishes for all palates , not just fish choices and cooked to your preference re level of spice. Another fabulous meal at Fisk. It was my birthday and had brilliant service from Amy. I love scallops and they were cooked to perfection. The prawns in the curries were big and succulent. Beautifully presented and good size portions. We didn't have dessert as no room, but Amy brought us a cheeky white chocolate shot for my birthday. Keep doing what you are doing it's great!

Really lovely food. Crab salad was sublime, calamari very nice. Green curry creamy but still full of flavour and spice. Red curry flavourful. All the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Nice wine and coffee. Crepes not quite the standard set by the starters/mains but the price of it did reflect that. The service was very good, I think it was Amy who served us. Another gentleman also was very polite and attentive but not intrusively so. He offered to take another couples photo for them, made them happy. He avoided a pet peeve of mine by asking us how our food was, but after we'd actually tried it, it's infuriating when waitors ask you if it's okay when you've barely lifted a fork. Bit pricey, but the food is lovely, restaurant pleasant and service good, so it's value for money.

Really lovely restaurant and location. 2nd time we've visited and both have been marvellous. Food is, I guess, rather Thai orientated but with a great range of options. Although it was a busy afternoon sitting, there was just one waitress working. At the end of the day, she was marvellous and kept the whole place running very smoothly. Aimee was on top of service and dealing with all the customers politely, promptly and efficiently. All the food was prepared individually as one of our group has some intolerances, and once Aimee was made aware of these, she was able to advice the chef, who was then able to adapt appropriately. Food was stunning and good value; wine was a little pricey and a limited choice of red wines. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and afternoon. Would we go back for a 3rd visit? Most definitely! Just great! I was really looking forward to this meal. It was a special celebration and one of our party is gluten free so we asked ahead if they could cater and we were told they could. They only do two sitting so everyone arrives at the same time so service is stretched. We were seated at a small table in the corner. The tables around us arrived after us and were all served first. The waiter told us they did do gluten free but that our friend should choose what they want and he’d tell them If they could make it gluten free which seemed the wrong way round. The food was okay but the prices are top level. It felt like they think they are better than the service and food actually are. It was okay not amazing.

Without a doubt this was one of the best meals we have ever had. The food was delicious. We had the langoustines and scallops to start, and for mains we had the monkfish massaman curry and the Singapore crab, along with crab rice and prawn pad Thai on the side. All of it was fantastic. The atmosphere and service was also excellent. Amy and Saffron were brilliant. We never felt rushed, but got our dinner in good time. Would definitely return and 100% recommend to anyone in the area.

Visited for the first time on Sunday 15th , we booked a table as previously when we have passed it has always been busy, we were not disappointed as we chose the set course menu available on Sunday’s . We both chose the 3 course menu and it is great value at £28 , I had scallops for starter the monkfish massaman curry for my mains filled by petite four and all were excellent , I would go as far and say probably the best massaman curry I’ve had. My partner had the snow fish bites , the king prawn yakkisoba followed by the sticky toffee pudding and again all were excellent, we were served by a young gentleman called Mo who was very professional,polite and friendly,even asking if we would like time between our courses ( very rare nowadays) overall a great experience, 3 courses for two a nice bottle of wine all for under £90 , excluding our gratuity which was not on as a service charge, Thank you to Mo for great service, the Chef for a great meal and to Fisk for a great experience. We will be returning !

Apparently you get the same amount of rice when you eat alone as you do for two. This is about 3 table spoons each! We had been looking forward to this lunch but there was so little rice we ended up eating the curry like soup. So you pay for two meals and are penalized, if we had sat on separate tables we would have both got the full meal we had paid for. Waitress told us they do this as some customers leave rice?? We could have had the two portions we paid for if we had asked for them! This is a crazy approach, it ruined our meal and we left still hungry and £50 lighter. Had the cheek to try and add a service charge! If we had got our full meal we would have happily paid, been full and left a 5 star review. Hope the management are happy with the rice they saved. Won't be back

Delicious fresh food and wonderful staff. A real treat in Harrogate!

Fabulous food and service, can’t fault it apart from being hard to find the door to get in! Lol! Down the side and the restaurant is down a narrow lane at the bottom of Montpelier Hill, but well worth finding. Lovely restaurant, very smart, great service and amazing food! Shame that the only beer was the ubiquitous Pironi… otherwise a great place to enjoy a fabulous meal. Just had great seafood in Portugal but the seafood here, while different, was also fanulous

This place never disappoints. I chose to have my 50th birthday early dinner here in July and it was wonderful. The 2 or 3 course set menu which you can order from up to 6pm everyday including Saturdays is excellent value for money. It's impossible to choose from the mouth watering selection-lots of seafood as that's their specialty but plenty of other options too. The Cod starter is amazing as are the tempura King Prawns. For main, my favourite is the Monkfish curry but I also love the vegetable Massaman curry. Its all delicious! Quality ingredients, lovely atmosphere and very good service. Highly highly recommended!

Simply delightful!!! Such amazing food at a good price for what you get! We had the 3 course menu and it truely was absolutely delicious! I had the scallops followed by the monkfish curry!!! Highly recommend it! We also had oysters as a first time try by most of our party and they were so fresh!! Service was very good! I will most definitely be coming back at some time soon!!
