Our family spent the day in Felixstowe, and called in for late afternoon dinner with our daughter, grandsons and 3 dogs ... staff very friendly and attentive and they have a special area where you are welcomed, with dog beds and treats, which we thought was very nice ... the menu is very varied, my wife had the fish pie, and I the fish casserole ... amongst the best we have had ... excellent ... overall, food, service and experience are very good ... would recommend highly ... many thanks to you all at Fish Dish ...

Juicy fish in crispy batter, with perfect chips and the most delicious tartare sauce ever. Very, very satisfied!

Had a lovely Good Friday lunch here with the family. Dogs were very welcome too. Food was delicious, kids menu is fab and kids loved it. Staff very friendly and helpful. We will be back 😁

One of the best fish and chips I've ever had! Coleslaw delicious and the salad was dressed with fresh herbs and olive oil.the children's pasta was enormous and tasty. Service was charming. We will definitely return thank you! 😊

We ate fish and chips at this place yesterday and we can highly recommend this place. The food was delicious we get haddock and cod fish. The plate was full of chips and fish in a decent size(ordered small) also you get home made tartare sos. If you want 🫛 or beans you can order it separately and that's only £2 if I remember well. The service was brilliant specialy Enzo, the girl a bit quite on beginning. We had a really good time and our son friend from Germany ate whole fish but he is not fun of fish. Well money spend.

The service was outstanding and the food was beautiful. Our husky was treated like a prince too, and was brought his own hot, cooked, sausage in a tray! The dog friendly area was a really nice touch. There were 4 tables, each with its own dog lead hook, lead if you need one, bed, water bowl and toys! They also asked if they could speak to our pooch, rather than just assuming. An all round amazing experience. Thank you!

Best fish and chips in Felixstowe

The best fish and chips I've had by a mile. Everything was cooked to order and was delicious. The guy running the place is always very polite and helpful 👍🏻

To say the food here is amazing is an understatement. The portions are very big, I ordered a medium sized fish with chips and it was very filling. The fish is amazing quality and is crispy, not too oily whatsoever. I normally find chips from fish and chip’s restaurants too soggy, however these weren’t. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, and I can tell they take pride in their job. The place was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. An overall very high quality restaurant. Will definitely be returning!

Our order took a while to arrive so i thought ok itll be freshly cooked so worth the wait.I kept hearing a scraping noise surely i wasnt getting the scraps of old cooked chips .Well it was what i got awful food had a sour taste to the chips .I threw them to the seabirds

I came in to order some food which came to around £19 which was absolutely fine! We then asked to be seated inside as it was extremely windy and I asked what would be the price if we sat inside and then he told me it was £18 not £18 on top of what we already paid, so the price would have been around £40 just to sit inside. When we then asked for a refund, the man at the front with the beard started to be rude and unprofessional by huffing and puffing and rolling his eyes. He then made remarks in a language I clearly didn’t speak, which made me feel as though he was speaking about me, which I did not appreciate. The food is nice, however, the unprofessionalism from the staff took over that.

Five star food. , service and atmosphere. By the owners admission in replies to the reviews this isn't the cheapest fish and chips in the area but I would agree it's most likely the best . I'd expect to pay £15-£25 per person. . Calamari was excellent, didn't come with lemon but a sweet chilli sauce instead which was delicious . Cod and chips also great although chips will come plain and need salt and vinegar to gain the soul typically found in seaside fish and chips Chips Are Cooked In Beef Fat but lacked any greasy taste

Just popped in for takeaway cod and chips, and honestly its the best I have eaten. The fish was beautifully white, soft and battered well. Chips cooked in dripping were so tasty and crispy, not soggy and cloggy like most chip shop chips. Amazing food!

The staff are just amazing, the food quality and portion size were outstanding. The can cater for large numbers very well. We were a party of 30 and nothing was too much for them. The food came out piping hot and soooo tasty.

This was our 2nd visit to buy a take away fish n chips. Tried pretty much every chip shop in the area but done come close to the great quality of this restaurant. Freshly cooked fish, beautiful batter and decent quality chips. Served in a box, cod came with a slice of lemon and tartar sauce, cutlery, napkin etc. Very good service, quality food, value for money and decent portion size. Thank you

Had a fantastic meal here tonight, the food was perfectly prepared and presented (highly recommend the deep fried seafood salad), and all of the staff were very friendly. If you visit Felixstowe you should definately eat here!

Had a fantastic dinner at the Fish Dish. We had five mains, a bottle of wine and two beers and the bill was £111.00 which was very good value as the meals where huge and super tasty, we were all so full we couldn't even think about dessert. Two of us had the scampi, one the skate, one eel and a chicken dish and we all had very clean empty plates at the end! The staff where great the food served quickly and was sooooooooo good. We were on a table on the top level. The restaurant is well spaced out and is not cramped. Great atmosphere and a good location opposite the sea and the pier.

After searching the country for the best chips it turns out that this place that is only 0.1 mile away from my house makes the best chips I've ever had from a chip shop. Finally a chip shop that knows how to cook chips. 10/10

From the minute we walked in the door we knew it was going to be good. A warm welcome, great atmosphere and excellent music. The staff were brilliant, it was really nice to be served by someone with a smile. The food was great, more than we could manage to be honest and a great range of drinks made this one of the best restaurants we have visited in a long time. The icing on the cake, not that we had room for cake, was the bill was much less than we'd anticipated. We genuinely rated this 10 out of 10 and highly recommended. Next time we sneak back into Suffolk from Norfolk we will be back, OTBC

We went as a a family of 8 @ lunch on a Friday. The service was outstanding, Enzo especially was fun & friendly. The fish & chips were excellent! Steak and Ale pies were superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend Fish Dish!

We decided to have an early lunch instead of a late breakfast and it was a great decision. Amazing cod and chips, light and crispy batter, hot crisp chips with homemade tartare sauce and mushy peas. We had the medium and were stuffed, the large would have defeated us! There’s a dog friendly area downstairs so we could sit in and our tired out dog could have a drink (and a sausage!). Staff were all welcoming and really friendly, we’ll come again

My wife and I had a portion of chip from here, and we both agree, they were the worst we have ever had. They had black bits in, been cooked more that once, over cooked and loads of small leftovers. We will never use this chip shop again.

What gem this place is!! Me and a friend had decided on a last minute trip to felixstowe for the evening for dinner and a walk. Located opposite the pier its easy to find. Entering the restaurant it looked and felt clean and felt welcoming. We were immediatly greeted and taken to our table of choice. The menu had lots of tradtional ‘fish and chip’ options but also many other choices. I decided to have ‘the fried platter’, it has battered cod fillets, scampi, large battered sausage and chips (pic attached) wow what a meal!! Great selection on one plate!! I live in Chelmsford, Essex and would happily travel all the way here again just for a dinner! Thank you for amazing food and friendly and welcoming staff

Went here as I’ve been told it was nice, it was good but nothing special. Very expensive for take out £4.90 for regular chip and batted sausage. Did not ask if I wanted salt and vinegar on my chips and when I started to put it on my self at a table had a member of staff standing watching me then telling me I can’t use the source for people eating in I had to buy source as I was take out. Will never go back!

Was a recommendation from our son. Amazing takeaway meal. Husband had steak and Ale pie. Homemade. Pastry and meat content really good. Taste beautiful too. I had haddock and chips. Fish cooked to order. Homemade tartare sauce. Great portion stokes sauces great amount too we had tomato and Mayonnaise. Regular size chip portion is huge. Even husband couldn’t eat them all. Fish was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. Thank you ❤️

Always come here for take away fish and chips, but these were missing. Perhaps a one off but now waiting to be served and find out if these niceties have gone for good.

On a beautiful sunny tea time we travelled to Felixstowe to enjoy the sea air & traditional fish and chips. We are regulars & love the fish dish, often visiting with friends/family. We thought about eating in but that would have defeated the object of enjoying the beautiful weather. We ordered chicken bites & chips, rock eel & chips. Waited, received our orders & made our way to the beach. We came upon a nice space, sat & opened our meals. The chicken bites - delicious. The chips, whilst huge portions, looked like they were triple triple fried & not at all nice. Rock eel, awful, grey in colour. Working in a chip shop in my teens I was taught that the fresher the fish the whiter the fish. I refrained from eating much of my rock eel at all aside from the batter. The majority of our food went in the bin as you are no longer permitted to feed the seagulls, & on reflection, we would not be in a hurry to revisit which is such as shame as prior to changing hands we couldn't fault it....

I decided to visit Felixstowe with my Mother on Saturday 9th September 2023. After researching Fish and chip restaurants in the area I decided after reading various reviews to try it out. We were not disappointed ! We arrived early before 12 and it was already getting busy. We ordered a large Cod and chips and a Fish pie with a couple of soft drinks. The food took around 20 mins to arrive and was freshly cooked/piping hot and delicious. The portion size was very generous and well presented. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our meal for 2 was £39 It’s not the cheapest but it’s quality shone through and we would definitely visit again.

Extreme rude people at the counter. They make you feel unwelcome despite you spending 100s of pounds on the table. Be careful of the man with beard on the till. Extremely unprofessional.

Food was lovely, service very good. Place was nice and clean. Atmosphere is light and airy. Portions are XL, so come hungry. Would happily visit again. If your seat upstairs on the right you can also see the sea 😎

Came here on the off chance yesterday after moving into our holiday lodge and was delighted the restaurant was open again! Now under new management and can’t recommend it enough. My husband had fish pie, I had sea bass, both absolutely delicious. Staff and service great as was the house wine! Will be regular clients for sure, thank you Enzo et al.

Third review over the last year or so. We come down around once a fortnight for take away fish and chips. Always perfectly cooked, lovely cardboard box to keep them hot and beautifully presented with a sprig of parsley and a large chunk of lemon....

Save to say that we will never visit this place again! Ordered takeaway large fish an chips our complaint is due to: 1: Charged 16.00 pounds when checking change on the way home found we we're short changed by 3 pounds!! 2: Chips obviously cooked earlier in the day and reheated!! 3: Person who took the order very rude We only went there as Our regular Fish & Chip Shop closed.

Best fish and chips in felixstowe (at the moment!) Chips are great, not greasy like some places, haddock cooked perfect and excellent curry sauce. We ate in and really appreciated the dog friendly area with a bed and a hook to attach the lead to. Highly recommended!!
