Fino Lounge in Cardiff

This looks nice inside - more suited to an evening visit, perhaps. The staff appeared overworked, though.

Friendly helpful staff, exciting choice of food especially tapas,. hamburger, however is a bit of a dry side. Ambience is great, though quiz night is on Weds held on the first floor. Would have preferred to be downstairs but all tables were taken, they don't take advanced bookings. Relaxed informal vibe.

Lovely food and some of the best coffee you'll find in Caerphilly. Highly recommend but avoid busy times if possible

The food was excellent, really tasty, arrived warm and perfectly presented. The staff are also really friendly, smiley and very helpful.

I've been here a few times now and it's a lovely place to meet friends. Food is always great and staff are always friendly and helpful. Wait times can be longer as it can get very busy but that is to be expected.

Food was good, the place is obviously popular, it was so busy, the app wasn't working when we first got there so ordering at the bar was manic and it was very loud with the amount of people. But can't complain about the food.

Often come to fino lounge for food and drink, always have a good meal. The service is always quick and staff are friendly. Food is always delicious and served hot. I've been with a friend that has a nut allergy and another that is celiac, both were impressed with the amount they could have to eat.

I have very mixed views about this place. Firstly to sit there for twenty minutes not being asked for our order. When challenged we were told to order online or at the bar. Grrrrr. Online needed lots of finger tapping data entry Grrrr. Then of course I had to go to the bar to request that one of the ingredients on my partner's food was removed, making the bar maid run upstairs. They call this progress? Eating out should be the total experience including the staff ambience, chat, food and drink. Up to now it was soul less. COVID protection my butt. Chicken wings were breaded and dry. 3 stars. Lamb shawarma was excellent five stars. Having a table just 40 centimetres from the adjacent one;nil stars. My partner knocked over their salt and pepper not once but three times . And nearly set herself alight on the REAL candles , lit and not in glass holders. Dangerous IMHO. Like I said , mixed reviews . But it was full at 1930. Others appeared to like it more.

Sunday lunchtime. Busy but a table was available. We ordered via the website (QR code on the table) which means you can see out of stock items and that drinks are brought to your table. Good food and service as usual. Find the Secret DJ app to choose the music played in the restaurant (applies to all Loungers venues)

Another great evening at the Fino. We have visited the Fino many times over the past 2 years and have always been made to feel welcome. The food is lovely, cocktails are spot on and staff are always professional and friendly. Partucular shout out to Lucas for running such a great place and always ensuring the Fino has a lovely, chilled vibe. He also makes the best mojitos!We have particularly enjoyed his quiz nights which are really popular.

Called in first thing this morning for breakfast. My daughter had a sausage breakfast muffin with hash browns which she enjoyed. I ordered scrambled egg on brown toast with a side of baked beans. Took a little while to arrive which was a bit surprising as there were the second customers to order food. When the food arrived the toast was cold, the scrambled egg was cold and the beans were cold. In fairness to the staff they did offer to replace the meal but they took so long with the food in the first place that by the time a replacement would have arrived my daughter would have long finished her breakfast. No criticism of the bar staff but there had clearly been a delay between the food being cooked and reaching the table - goodness knows what it's like when things get busy at the Fino Lounge. Poor.

Nice breakfast - didn’t need to book and good quality meal. I would say the service of the drinks is quite poor I had completely finished my drink before my partners showed up. Would go again for brekkie

Lovely atmosphere upstairs all candles, great food and service. Forgot to take pics of the food lol, next time I'll remember. We had a bottle of sharaz, very nice indeed. Orzo milkshake and a pot of tea, which we had to ask for more water as only half-full, even then it wasn't full to the top lol

Went for lunch with my family. Have been before and have always had good food and service. Did not disappoint this time. The restaurant was very busy but had a nice atmosphere and not too noisy. Service was friendly and efficient and hats off to the staff for doing an excellent job in difficult circumstances. We asked for coffee and hot chocolate. The former was luke warm and the latter cold. We did send it back and received piping hot drinks in a short while. Not sure what happened the first time around. Ordered a few dishes to share the quesadilla, mozzarella aranchini and meatballs were excellent. Bombay spiced chicken wings,salt and pepper Squid were good. Wouldn't order the whipped Feta and garlic flat bread again. My son had the Shakshuka and liked it. Chicken souvalaki flatbread was a disappointment. There are some good recepies for souvalki on you tube. Overall a very nice afternoon and will visit again. Would have given 4.25 for food if that was possible.

Fantastic experience, dog friendly and dietary requirement variety.

We first visited in 2016 , and now we visit at least once a week for drinks and food and it’s by far and away our favourite place in Whitchurch. All the food we have tried is delicious - good size portions and great service. All the staff are very personable and welcoming even thought they are all incredibly busy they still have time to chat. We .Iove the fact that we can take the dog in as well. Our only gripe is not being able to reserve a table….is this something you are considering for the future?

Great food, nice restaurant and good staff

We have been here a few times in the past and I would have liked to have given a higher star rating, but I feel that the portion sizes needs some review. A small pot of fries and a dollop of coleslaw with a burger, didn’t seem value for money for me. All the drinks were served on time during a busy afternoon and the preparation and clean up of tables. If only the staff could realise that when they spray a cleaning solution onto a table, the smell and the fine mist travels across to other tables and yesterday the one table next to us was cleaned twice and a very young baby was next to this happening. Please can the staff consider people with chest/breathing issues when doing this and maybe spray the solution into the hand cloth instead. We will return and hopefully things improve.

Nice place to visit, food is very nice and service is quick

We went there for an early supper before a concert (about 17.00 on a Saturday). 2 glasses of tempranillo, 3 tapas plus sweet potato fries and a flatbread. Around £35 and was enough for the two of us as a light supper. You can order more of course! Food was very tasty. Only problem was that they forgot one of our dishes so we had to chase it up. Apart from that no complaints. Staff are young, but friendly and helpful.

Great place to meet and eat, plenty of room and fast service

Stood at the door for 10 minutes with just a sign saying please wait. After 10 minutes someone then came over and explained that it would be a further 15 minutes. Frustrating as they could have told us that much earlier. Used to come here a lot but it’s gone down hill quite a bit lately

Chose one of the sandwiches from the menu, fish finger for £9.95, must say it was shocking value for money, bread tasted cheap and the fish fingers were dry and overcooked. One place I will not be revisiting again, terrible value for money.

Went for a family lunch time meal, menu is comprehensive, i enjoyed a particularly good burger, the children enjoyed fish and chips. The food was delivered really quickly and tasted delicious. Will be going back soon.

Went today to grab a quick lunch and was extremely disappointed with the food. Ordered the vegan BLT and vegan smashed avocado. Had to send back the BLT due to the bacon being cold, it arrived again still cold. Smashed avocado was about two slices of avocado and some tomatoes, was missing salsa and other ingredients stated on the menu. Staff offered a full refund but due to my payment method it will take a week to return into my bank account. Very frustrating as it wasnt busy either.

Fabulous breakfast! Their fried eggs on sour dough was very really good as well as thee Penidict w mushrooms. Had a nice Shakshuka with arabic bread, perfect. Their milk base coffee drinks and tea were super. The staff was so friendly, and the overall atmosphere and people was something, loved all.

Fino lounge is always a great place to go. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide top notch service. There are a lot of different options for food which I really like. The food is always tasty and has never disappointed. The tender stem broccoli is a particular favourite of mine. This place never disappoints with a lovely atmosphere and lovely staff.

Everything is OK, but the tables are not comfortable for people in the wheelchair ,can't fi anywhere near.

Very disappointed this morning, ordered scrambled eggs on toast, I think it was a child's portion, and what seemed to be the left over bits of the pan, and cold.

Very nice only popped in for a cuppa and tea cake but good atmosphere and friendly service.

We went here for lunch with our five year old granddaughter, we had a great time, amazing service, and the food was fantastic as well, the place is lovely so are the people 😀 our granddaughter got to feed her dollies first while we waited for ours to arrive 😀 she had a great time there being the little mother at the grownup's place.

Really lovely place, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great, the décor is so cosy and inviting and it just makes for a nice vibe, the food was incredible, I had the smokey Joe burger and it was possibly the best burger I've ever had. and the gluten free menu actually has a decent amount of choice, really enjoyed eating here would definitely be back when in the area

Visited Wednesday 28/6 tried to have a conversation with friend but music so loud at 10am, couldn't even make myself heard on phone to one of my friend. I used to come to the Fino whenever I was in the village but this will be the last time. When I asked for the music to be reduced you would have thought it was the joke of the year with the staff tittering behind the bar (is the music for the customer or the staff??).

Amazing selection of food, all ordered via their scannable QR code. Food came out promptly and was full of flavor. Iced coffee was pretty decent too!

We booked for a large group, and Fino Lounge was great. Service was well-organised and everyone's food arrived together, and was delicious. We had a very enjoyable time, and I would highly recommend them.

The staff were lovely and the man who served me at the bar was great with going through things i could eat on the menu as i can't have milk or soya. He was very tentative. However i was most disappointed there wasn't a selection as they were out of a lot of things i could have eaten. I could only have two things on the menu. Just feel places need to be mindful to have things stocked up for people who have allergies it makes going out not as enjoyable. This was my first time out since having a baby. I am pleased to say with what i ate she has had no reaction so they are good in thst way just need to have food in stock like pitta breads.

Great place for a scooter meeting

Normally absolutely love it in here but this morning was an absolute fiasco. Myself and my partner ordered poached eggs on toast with mushrooms & spinach, the food came out quite cold, we tried to get the waiters attention but struggled so I ended up going to the bar and asking for assistance. The took our food and were apologetic. Around 15 minutes later, our food came back out and the waiter dropped one of my partners eggs on the floor and had to send the food back to the kitchen. When the food finally came back out it was warm but the egg they rushed to replace was undercooked and very snotty. Usually love it in here but today was a nightmare.

Popped in this morning for breakfast, not been before and breakfast was outstanding, the Miami brunch and the blueberry pancakes were both divine! And we’re super fussy usually and literally couldn’t fault a thing! Reasonably priced, and super quick. Staff were friendly and attentive without being too much, restaurant was interesting and we loved the decor. Definitely will revisit next time we’re passing!

Always a warm welcome to the dogs and fast friendly service

I had the steak which was perfectly cooked which came with fries and a delicious salad - the best salad I haabe had with a steak. It was great. Only got 4 stars as it had music on too loud so that you couldn't have a proper conversation. The ambience and everything else except for the loudness was great and lovely. Love the decor. Also wheelchair friendly entrance so big thumbs up on that although toilets not soo disabled friendly.

My parents who are 85 use the Fino twice a week . The staff are absolutely wonderful with them , they take great care of them . We also use it on a regular basis. The service is outstanding and food never fails to disappoint . Highly recommended 😋

Love this place. Staff are brilliant very quick and friendly. The food was excellent took awhile but was worth the wait and we were warned before hand. Very busy on a Friday especially after school ends so a bit of a wait for a table. Great job guys

I’ve never posted on TA. We live locally and come here quite a bit usually in the week when it is quieter. The food and service is always first class. Came here tonight and it is jammed but again service and food absolutely perfect and no delays. We’ve been to most places in Cardiff and beyond. Fino is in another league. Keep up the good work!

Lots of different rooms to watch the sports on TV, enjoyed watching Manchester United beat Barcelona in the Europa League. Obviously the price of a pint of beer in Norway is way over the top 😭

Visited on a Friday morning for brunch. If was very busy and there is no lift upstairs so if you've got a pram or a wheelchair you may struggle for space. We managed to get a table and used the app to order, food was fantastic.

Cosy atmosphere and lighting. Service is always efficient and food is tasty. Special mention to the steak I had as it was stunning. Recommended!
