Finnegans in Falkirk

Another fabulous Finnegans breakfast. Staff are always brilliant, especially Linda who makes our visit with her friendly banter. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great place for breakfast, a cuppa a sweet treat or a lunch. All food is freshly prepared and locally sourced. Lovely friendly staff who are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, would make particular mention of Linda who was very attentive to us today. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tasty snack or light meal

My husband, daughter and I had lunch there today and it was fab. We were served by a lovely lady named Linda who couldn’t do more for us. My husband and I had the jacket potatoes with different (very generous fillings) & my daughter had the fish and chips. She can be quite picky with her food and would normally pick the coating off the fish but she said it was really tasty and ate the full thing. The jacket potatoes were delicious too. There is a lovely atmosphere there and we will definitely be returning. I wld also like to thank Linda for getting the first aid kit out and helping me with a wee medical issue that I had, you were a star!

We had a delicious, freshly cooked lunch here. Huge portions of fish, chips and peas, a warming bowl of homemade soup, followed by hot drinks and tasty cakes. It was very reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Always a warm welcome from Linda, Esther and Giles. A superb lunch and a grand selection of cakes and warm scones to finish.

We popped in for a Sunday Brunch and it was fantastic, sheryl the waitress was lovely, very attentive but not pushy. Food was excellent really fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea.Everything was light and tasty with a variety of fillings in the sandwiches,lovely scones and scrumptious cakes !

Wonderful festive afternoon tea at Finnegans served with a smile as usual. Cannot compliment Giles and his team enough for the lovely sandwiches and cakes provided. Absolutely delicious. Also loved the vintage tea set which really set the tone. Please do not pass this establishment by as it is the best in Falkirk for atmosphere, management/staff and the fantastic freshly prepared food they serve at reasonable prices.

Late in adding this review. Booked for afternoon tea 20th August, after seeing they had won an award. The booking was a special thank you to friends. I wasn’t impressed. And wouldn’t return. Was told it was from 2pm on a Sunday. Which I accepted. Food wasn’t great 2 types of sandwiches. Cakes were dry like they had been left out for days. We were served a coffee and tea each. When we were looking for refills no one came near us. We had to approach the counter. The refill tea was just hot water added to the first pot. No new tea bags. We were then told that’s them shut. It was only 3pm. If I had known we were only getting 1 Hr. I would have booked somewhere else. We were not offered an earlier time. Even though I had booked a few months in advance. Based on my experience and my party of 4. All 4 said we wouldn’t go back.

Amazing service by all the guys in this cafe. I've been in many times with family and friends. They are always great with the kids interacting and chatting away to them. Its a small intimate cafe who always go that extra mile. Always go local and this this place is great to relax on your own with a coffee or meet up with friends and family.

👎DONT GO IF YOU HAVE KIDS👎I have just met my friend here for a coffee and catch up. I had Rosie and she had her 18month old. Her little boy had emptied the salts and sugars packets (still in the wrappers) on the floor ( as all kids do) and was banging the glass jar on the table. To be honest we were to busy blathering and hadn’t noticed the mess but of course we would of tidied up. A member of staff came over and at first we thought she was joking telling us the mess was unacceptable but we were then told we were “disrespectful” and made to feel humiliated. The staff member was so rude to my friend and spoke loud enough that 4 other tables could clearly hear the whole thing. When I went up to complain about the way it was handled I was told “they were expensive tables” and got the least sincere apology!! There is ways and means to handle things!! My poor friend was in tears, it was my first time in finnegans in a long time and I can assure you I won’t be back!!!!

They are deserve 4.8 star. Food and coffee are really nice. But milk shake made them can not up to 5 star.

We are fast becoming regular customers to Finnegan’s. Fantastic service, delicious food and comfortable environment and atmosphere. We are always made to feel welcome and thoroughly enjoy everything that we have. Our last visit was for afternoon tea (mummy and daughter) and wow! Did they not go over and above with a little tiara, wand and skipping ropes and delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones and a massive pot of tea!! We will see you again soon, this venue is one not to be missed!

Finnegans is our go to lunch time treat for when one of the kids has a random day off. It is a busy wee place but the service is great. I only ever get the club sandwich, which is awesome, so i cant comment on the rest of the menu (but the kids are always happy!! 🙂)

Went for lunch staff were lovely and toastie was perfect! Nice coffee as well. The ceiling was very high as well oddly distracting but nonetheless lovely place!

Nice sit in meal that was fairly busy but didn't feel like too long a wait. Some good selections of sweets outside the norm and everything is very well identified as too source and allergies. Nice for a bit of world watching with a pleasant low key atmosphere. Service was quite friendly and professional and feels quite relaxed. Near by parking although the only free ones are by the retail park but its handy central location makes it worthwhile for a stop during your shopping

Love this place! Best club Sandwich I've ever had, chips aren't greasy! Biscoff coffee is fab too.

I actually love this place yet have a habit of forgetting it's there and I don't know why. Service is on point. I've had breakfast and lunch here and both were outstanding. Prices are reasonable. It's lovely decorated, bit of nice modern Scottish homeliness. Treat yourself to biscoff coffee.

Ordered an Afternoon Tea last weekend, it was amazing. The sandwiches were so fresh and great choice of fillings. The scones were a perfect size and the cakes were fantastic especially the meringue and chocolate eclairs. It was perfect for our celebration

I was send a gift box of fresh cakes and they were amazing. Been to the cafe a good few times pre-lockdown and it's always 10/10.

I ordered afternoon tea for my Mum and Dad as a birthday treat for my Mum. Excellent customer service during the order and delivery process. Mum and Dad thoroughly enjoyed it, the sandwiches were fresh and tasty and there were plenty of delicious, home made cakes. Lovely afternoon tea for myself and dad. Beautifully presented on stands with quite a selection for your money! The food wasn’t too fussy (in a good way) meaning there wasn’t anything left! When I called to order, the man was great and explained everything fully. Can’t wait for my next special occasion!

Had afternoon tea delivered for my 40th birthday . Staff were so friendly and helpful from Giles who took the booking to the delivery driver who dropped it off and came back the next day to collect the stands. The sandwiches were delicious and so fresh . The selection of cakes was fabulous. All the cakes were homemade and were amazing still have a few left from yesterday as we couldn’t eat them all . Would definitely recommend and will definitely be ordering from yous again. Looking forward to restrictions being lifted to be able to come and sit in for lunch / afternoon tea. Great work guys . I was surprised by a fresh and beautifully presented afternoon tea yesterday for my birthday. Good selection of sandwiches and an amazing selection of homemade cakes, my son and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Giles delivered the afternoon tea and what a genuinely nice guy. I have told everyone and I will definitely be ordering in the near future.

Ordered an afternoon tea delivery for my husbands birthday during lockdown. Absolutely brilliant service, excellent communication amd the food was fantastic. All handmade cakes which were fantastically fresh. The meringues were easily my favourite! Delivery to the house was very prompt and they picked the stands up the next day. We ordered an adult stand for 2 and a kids stand for our 3yo. Kids stand was a brilliant touch. Looking forward to visiting when they reopen

We were so lucky to be gifted afternoon tea by my sister during lockdown ! The service delivered door to door was nothing short of superb. It was delivered on a China tea stand all fully wrapped in cling film (good touch) by a lovely gentleman who informed us he would return the next day to collect it.There was a good variety of sandwiches brown and white bread and the cakes and scones were behind amazing, absolutely delicious and more than enough for two of us. Mini meringue were the best I've ever tasted and the scones served with cream and jam were fabulous. Many many thanks for this delicious experience - can't recommend you highly enough.

We've been regulars at Finnegans since it opened and simply cannot fault it. Giles and his team are so lovely and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The food is fabulous and as for those empires... just yummy. Highly recommend.

I had never been or heard of Finnegans till the other day. My wife and I were sat at home as I had just had surgery at FVRH for a full ankle fusion and in pain, when the door went. My wife went to the door and the gentleman standing there said he had a delivery for Neil ie myself, I was not expecting a delivery. But the gentleman said it was for me. He delivered a full cream high tea. Well Fiona decided it was time for lunch and got settled in to have our high tea lunch and I must say it was fabulous, and we were fully stuffed after it that later that night we didn't have dinner, we just had some cheese and biscuits. So as said I haven't been to Finnegans but I will be going as soon as I can get on both feet. So if you are in the area then pop in and give them a try and say hello. First class service and food. Wow! What an afternoon tea that was! Absolutely stuffed after afternoon tea at Finnegans! We were defeated and had to bring some home but I can’t recommend it enough, from the homemade cakes and sandwiches to all the lovely staff it was a great wee afternoon out! The icing on the cake was owner Giles, who was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us! Makes all the difference to see someone so invested in their business and their customers! We will definitely be back! I’m a sucker for an afternoon tea and have tried a few but this was one of the best! Also can’t commend the staff enough for following government guidelines when waiting on and clearing tables! Can’t wait to get back to try the lunch menu!

I ordered afternoon tea to be delivered to my cousin today. The man I spoke to on the phone couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating even though I rang back to change the day for delivery. My cousin has just sent me a pic and is delighted with her surprise. I assumed the lovely sandwiches and lots of cakes would be served on cardboard plates or similar but they're on a proper stand! Couldn't be happier. Well done Finnegans.
