Finley Brown's Cafe in Teignbridge

This was my 4th time visiting for Friday night Tapas and cocktails and I swear it’s better every time. Great selection of beautifully presented delicious tapas, really generous portions too. The cocktails are “proper” cocktails, not cocktail flavoured syrups like in many places. All of this is enhanced by great staff in a lovely environment. Honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. Definitely 5-star

Had a cracking visit to Finley Browns last night. We were attending the Elton John tribute near by and wanted something to eat before hand. Tapas and cocktails were the prefect way to get us in the mood. The candles made everything lovely and the staff looked after us, and made us laugh. Definitely be doing that again, top marks

Visited a few weeks ago due to the TripAdvisor reviews and photos of the cakes. When we arrived, we struggled to get our pram through the entrance as one of the doors was locked - we're used to navigating the buggy around in these situations, but were surprised when we got into the cafe that it was empty and the staff were sat at one end, with noone offering to help unlock the other door. This hasn't affected my rating, but worth noting the service that day, as we saw another table walk out quite quickly after entering due to the lack of assistance. Ahead of the visit I'd struggled to find a menu online, so looked at photos from other reviews. Unfortunately, the menu differed to this when we got there (was smaller, with the items we had hoped for not being available). The lunch we ended up having was nice though and the milkshake I had was very good. However, we were left further disappointed by the cakes that were on offer - it looked like there were just a few leftover cakes from the weekend. Not sure if our experience was due to it being out of season, but whilst the food we had was good, it was overall a disappointing experience and we wouldn't have visited had we seen the menu/cakes on offer ahead of sitting down.

Lovely cafe. From calling before hand to arriving, service and eating, a pleasure! Just wanted a nice all day brekkie in cosy surroundings on a horribly wet Sunday morning, and certainly couldn’t have asked for more. Breakfast was way better than I could’ve anticipated, delicious, filling and hot, all beautifully cooked. My husband loved his black pudding particularly. Coffee was just spot on. They do gluten free and dairy free food and drinks. Rob is an absolute treasure and our waitress was really lovely too (sorry I didn’t get her name 🙄) Lovely to have a dog friendly space and we shall be bringing to pooch and teenager next time! Really lovely gluten free meal in a lovely cafe in teignmouth although not on the sea front, well worth visit, staff were friendly and the owner came out to talk to me about their gluten free menu and how careful they are especially as I'm a coeliac. They prepare all the food in a separate kitchen. Really well done not all cafes/resturants are that attentive.

THE best breakfast in Teignmouth, probably even Devon. What can be better than that? It’s also GLUTEN FREE, proper tasty gluten free too. Lovely friendly staff and quick service, great decor, I love this place. If your in Teignmouth or even near Teignmouth go to Finley Browns, you won’t be disappointed.

Came here a few days ago and had a cup of tea. I ordered a mince pie, and it was probably the nicest mince pie I have had for a long time. It was that nice I ordered another. I went to pay the bill for 3 teas and 2 mince pies. To my horror, I was charged over £16. I queried this and was told that a mince pie was £3.95, I couldn't believe it. I admit it was a beautiful mince pie but not worth nearly 4 quid and certainly no bigger than a shop bought one. I understand inflation and things going up as I'm in business myself, but I think far too expensive. Other than that, it was an OK place. Certainly wouldn't put me off returning, but I just wouldn't order a mince pie 😀

Paid my first visit with my family. 9 persons in total. Superb courteous and efficient service. Great food too. Will definitely be returning.

We came in this morning to enquire about gluten free breakfast options, and were really pleased to find a specific gluten free menu. I had the gluten free breakfast which was great value, hot and all cooked perfectly. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Superb value for money. Plentiful plates of well cooked and beautifully presented food. Food took a long time to come but was worth it and very reasonable. Dog friendly and great staff.

Ordered a mint milkshake expecting just that. What i got exceeded my expectations. Mint aero pieces where a pleasant surprise.

We had a lovely breakfast here - an All Day Breakfast & pancakes. The food was hot, well cooked and tasty. The pancakes were freshly made and served with fresh berries. The staff were lovely, very friendly & efficient.

Popped in on a Sunday morning before travelling back North after our holiday and immediately felt welcomed. Smiling faces all around, amazing breakfasts, couldn't ask for anything more. We'll definitely be back next time we're down. Glad to have found this gem of a cafe on an already amazing trip to Teignmouth. Well done guys!

What a lovely place this is. The staff are so happy and friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble. We only had coffee here (which was brilliant) but the food looked delicious and when we returned a few days later, we were treated like old friends. If you’re in the area it’s more than worth a visit.

Lovely setting and friendly staff. We were in Teignmouth on holiday and myself and my daughter have dietary requirements. We went to Finley Brown’s this evening for cocktails and Tapas and what a fantastic night we had. They have got it so right, the food was amazing and the cocktails just as good. The staff are all friendly and attentive and I would 100% recommend, we can’t wait to go back.

Well what can I say, from the minute me and my partner walked in till the end was absolutely amazing! Staff were so so friendly and catered our needs, the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, the pancakes with the bacon and syrup 😍 would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a bite to eat!
