Great selection of interesting and healthy food on the menu. Our plates were colourful with quality ingredients. Coffee was also really nice. The staff were welcoming of our baby and had a highchair available. We really enjoyed our brunch, thanks!

Im sorry to have to update my review. I used to love this place but I think it's changed hands recently. The prices have gone up, the portion sizes have gone down and the salad plate that I used to love for all of its delicate flavours (and I'm not a salad person) and being quite filling, has unfortunately become soggy and too small and doesn't taste anywhere near as good. I was still hungry after my last visit and had to get a second lunch 🥲

I had the most delicious caramelised onion and Goats cheese tart this lunchtime. Really enjoyed my visit .The new owners are delightful.

Food was creative, and very tasty A very good coffee. The look of the place is clean and homely , just a bit chilly Overall, a good experience and I will go back

Friendly coffee shop with cakes and light meals

The coffee here was very good 👍 I usually have to ask for an Americano with less water, only for them to fill the large cup to the top. It was nice to see long black on the menu, perfect coffee to water ratio 😋 the coffee was really good, I would have had a 2nd if we had the time. The chocolate orange cake was good and just the right size, any more would be too much. Carrot cake was good, too.

I'd honestly never heard of Fika@44, even though I'd been passed several times in the car, either driving or on lessons. A friend suggested meeting up here on Dec 14th for a coffee and chat, and I must say it was a good choice. It was a wet and miserable day outside, but the atmosphere, as soon as I walked in through the door, was warm and welcoming. I went through the front section and out to the covered garden area at the rear. It was lovely, bright, and spotless out here, and each of the chairs had a neatly folded rug draped over their back's for those who may feel the chill on a cold day. A lovely touch helping to make you, the customer, feel wanted. Our cappuccinos were brought out to us with a beautiful, friendly smile, and nothing appeared to be too much trouble for the staff. I'm more than happy to recommend Fika@44 and will certainly pop in for another cappuccino again. Cheers, and I hope this helps others looking for somewhere nice to have a coffee and a chat. Their food looked delicious too, and I may be tempted on my next visit. Keep safe.

Sadly they need to understand that coffee served at molten lava level temperature is both ruined in terms of flavour and impossible to drink. #basiccoffeemaking however it's a pleasant place to wait for the coffee to cool down!!

Amazing as per usual! We got the salmon bagel, salad with flatbread, and double chocolate cake. All tasted amazing, food was so fresh. Coffee was great too, especially the mocha! One of the best cafes in Hastings for sure, the staff are so welcoming and the outdoor seating area is very nice. Highly recommend!

Delicious flavourful food, lots of healthy choices to choose from, we had the East open toast, a piece of art to look at and a delight to eat. Yummy Chai Latte too, Very friendly staff and a gorgeous courtyard, definitely recommend.

Got there for a late lunch. Me and my daughter had an open sandwich each: From the East (me) / Mediterranean (hers) and we were both delighted. I then had a raspberry/almond slice and a cortado and really good again. Very friendly and professional staff.

The Chavo with Halloumi egg and salmon was AMAZING!

We absolutely love Fika, the staff are great, the food is really tasty and good quality. The cafe is a nice, relaxed atmosphere. You do pay a bit more than you would expect, but we think it is worth it.

Fab place in St Leonards. Great fresh tasty salads

The wait time was very long but fair enough there were some power issues! The thing I really don’t understand how in UK places can still be so gendered!! I am a trans individual and I found it quite rude and un polite that the staff misgendered me multiple times and didn’t even apologise for it!! Some gender neutral and pronouns training from the company up to the team would be very good to have! Please get up to date with life - we are in 2022 and trans people have the same right as cisgender people!!

I love Fikka. The hot drinks are excellent. And cakes Devine. The coffee is wonderful as well as alternatives such as turmeric hot drinks. The hot chocolate is very delicious unlike many places. Staff are wonderful. And it’s very chilled out place to socialise or even works meets! Love it. Thank you for opening in St Leonards with all your hard work & surviving lockdowns. Hats off too you!

Lovely place, clean (even under the coffee machine is spotless), efficient, attention to details 10/10, food amazing, coffee great. I love the passion and care of what I assume is the owner when prepares coffees and even when she place them on a tray to be delivere it. If there would be a prize in Hastings for the top Coffee Shop of the year....FIKA it would be yours.

Really enjoyed my iced dirty chai with oat, boyf had a flat white but he found the house coffee too fruity for his taste. Nice vegan treat options (cake and sos roll since we were too late for proper food). Lovely lil 'garden' at the back.

Wasn't feeling great after a visit to the hospital so treated myself to lunch and a coffee. Had The Garden Party open toast with a soft boiled egg and it was the tastiest thing I've had in a long time - the flavours worked perfectly, as well as the contrast of textures. It was also a work of art! The flat white was also spot on. I was sadly too late to sample a pastry so I'll just have to go back!

Absolute gem of a cafe, sat outside at the back for a very tranquil lunch of smoke salmon and avocado bagels, delicious.

We've been here half a dozen times and keep ordering the same thing it's that good. Quality ingredients delivered with a sense of care and attention. The staff here take real pride in what they offer and deserve the highest praise. Perfect place to watch the world pass bay on Kings St. Sometimes the service is slow and things lattes arrive way after the food, but they can be forgiven anything in my book, they are that good. Don't change a thing.

I live locally and this is my favourite coffee shop. It serves absolutely beautiful toasted sourdough with selection of toppings. Great coffee, great service. Perfect outdoor area to relax in the sun.

Simply the best cafe I have frequented in my 44 years. I was lucky to live near the cafe of 2009 world barrista champion Gwilym Davies in Shoreditch when coffee culture was taking off in the UK and I rate this above that. Exceptionally attentive and friendly service, magnificently prepared coffees and teas, high-end restuarant standard food, incredibly delicous cakes in a beautiful surrounding. Whenever I visit Hastings or St Leonards from London I always try and make it to Fika

Great coffee and selection of cakes. Perspex screens used for covid reasons but used really well so you're still getting good atmosphere. Seating outside too.

Delicious coffee, lovely ambience, great service. By the third delicious coffee, we smelt lovely savouries being prepared for lunch. The smells and sight of salads sealed the deal for the nicest Mediterranean Tart with salads I've had, and it's one of my favourites. Staff excellent, unobtrusive yet totally on the ball. Hoping to repeat the experience again very soon.

Lovely afternoon at Fika - great coffee, amazing cake and all enjoyed in the gorgeous little courtyard garden at the back. Super friendly staff too, I even got to take a little cutting from the spider plant, thank you!

Maybe the best looking café in town. Chic with great food, a fantastic outside space and their cappuccinos are second to no one, one of my favourites - a St Leonards sanctuary

Good home cooking and lots of delicious healthy food

I popped in for lunch with my other half for lunch. After a bit of confusion over their menu we eventually ordered. We should have taken the delay in getting to order as a sign of thing to come. We waited close to 40min for two bowls of Dahl to arrive. They were nice. But by that stage they needed to be amazing - they weren’t, the food was decent but overpriced. Overall a disappointing experience.

Nice coffee place with good selection of edible bits and pieces. My only complaint is it wasn't open all week, only at the end of the week and weekend, so tended to get very busy!

What a little treasure! More than just a coffee shop- also delightful lunch options. We had a beautiful tart and salad in their lovely back garden before getting the train back to London. (By the way, the Internet said it was closed today, but it was definitely open. :) )

I wandered into this place hoping for an early lunch and a nice coffee (eat in). Immediately the woman behind the counter started shouting at me: did I have a mask, had I washed my hands, had I used sanitizer? I politely queried my understanding that you didn’t have to wear masks for eat in. She barked back I had to wear a mask if I was coming anywhere near her counter (even though everything was behind glass). I thanked her for kindness and left. I’m not going to give my money to a place whose owner communicates with her customers so unpleasantly. It’s is crucial we all follow the rules for everyone’s safety but this place was going too far and the way they enforce their version of the rules is upsetting and aggressive

This is a beautiful cafe in St Leonard’s... the decor of the cafe is really cute and tasteful, especially the garden area which is a lovely space to enjoy coffee/or lunch. There were some really delightful sounding salads on the menu. We opted for bagels which were delicious. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and showed such a genuine interest in us. Nothing was any trouble and the atmosphere was really chilled and relaxed. The indoor areas have screens up between tables to comply with covid, and marks on floor to keep distance when queuing. There is a toilet available on premises too. All in all, a really delightful little cafe that is well worth a visit.

Great location few minutes walk from sea, close to station and surrounded by vintage shops. Ready for lunch after exploring and foraging for bargains. Everything on menu sounded delicious and the soup and chai we had lived up to this. A lot for veggies and gluten free. Worth trip to st Leonard’s just for lunch at Fika.

Very impressed with the efficient and positive service in this cafe. I loved the way I was asked if I wanted my pot of tea topped up with hot water, after I'd been sitting there for a while, enjoying my lovely lemon, ginger and turmeric cake. How many cafes would do that without you specifically asking? Everything looked fresh and interesting and the salads were colourful and healthy. The atmosphere was so pleasant I didn't mind at all about sharing a table with others.

Really nice place just a shame there was a woman in the back with a voice like a foghorn so I had to move. Not the cafes fault I know but sometimes a bit of a whinge is due.

Fantastic food, and equally good coffee. The people working there were lovely as well. Thoroughly recommend coming here!

A beautiful, quaint, independent, coffee shop. Very well display of goods; good service and private. Not sure it would be family or wheelchair friendly as it looks so small, but am sure they could accommodate if there is less customers. We went there for a short time away from family and loved it.

They have so many regular customers, you know they have got everything right. Head for their delightful courtyard garden, rain or shine. Sip the perfect coffee. Drink the finest teas. Eat a healthy lunch for a change!

Excellent cafe - a really good find. Good food, great coffee, lovely atmosphere and owner, nice decor and close to St Leonards Warrior Square station. I think the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity and the cafe was certainly busy. Will go here again, not least because there are vegan options and oat milk!

A beautiful little place serving a variety of delicious drinks and small snacks. Very tasty and tasteful, but not exactly on a cheap side. My favourite place to pick an almond croissant when I change at St. Leonard's.

Love this place. Great coffee and variations ... try the ' Golden brown ' ... like a golden ( turmeric ) latte with chocolate., & I'm hooked on their raspberry & rose cake too. Everything is done properly here & not rushed so always top quality .

The food here is to die for, we had a breakfast slice and an open sourdough toast, both were divine. The atmosphere is very warm, the staff is lovely and the tea is delicious too :)

The best place on the King’s Road for lunch or coffee. Fantastic salads. Lovely staff. It would be great if this place could accommodate more people.
