Gorgeous food! Beautiful decor and good staff, very very yummy lunch out with a friend

My first experience was a good one. Thankyou 🙏

Lovely surroundings, but not set up for kids with picky tastes. Clearly struggling today with lunch service, but sad we couldn’t have a plain ham and cheese toasty (just the removal of fig jam). Reason being they prep all the sandwiches in the morning and had run out of bread (at 1pm). The shakes were delicious and the adults food lovely. My friend requested no rocket and got a side salad full of it, I however loved the side salad which was a generous size, especially as I had the two kids portions too. Kids went hungry and I’m reheating their fig, cheese and ham toasty in the air fryer tonight for my dinner!

Good modern cafe with an interesting menu that caters to all tastes, including good vegan options. Friendly and helpful staff, thank you.

Tucked away and trendy atmosphere in a fairly bright and nautical kind of way. Quirky side entrance to the neighbouring clothing store. Always busy and popular with a range of generally vegetarian-biased food choices plus a couple of others. The cakes are a little hit-or-miss at times, with the chocolate cake pictured being very presentable but with an expectedly cloying texture and lacking much chocolate flavour. The pastries might fare better. Coffee is nice.

Nice dog friendly cafe hidden away in Oakham. Staff were really friendly. Nice buzz in the place and was busy on a wet and windy Tuesday. Coffee and cake was good. Will be back am sure

Pleasant experience. However, unfortunately I paid full price for a bowl which omitted the main star of the show- the pumpkin fritters! Was very disappointed given how pricy the bowl was too. Such a shame. Prices should be adjusted for the quality/quantity of the food.

Had brunch today. It was lovely and it's great that they cater for vegan and gluten free. Freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. Also great service and good coffee! 👍

Our first time we visited here & we weren't disappointed. This place is a lovely find, the staff were welcoming, helpful & friendly. Our breakfast arrived quickly and was delicious. There's a nice selection of items on the menu & it's reasonably priced. Service was excellent & we would definitely return.

Night mare! Ordered cakes for my sisters birthday . Shop manager thought it was a good idea to place them in the sun on a windowsill. Flies around them with open packaging. When I arrived to comets collect them the fruit had turned into mush and the cakes were all squashed from how they had been stacked on top of each other. IRefused to take them as they were a complete mess. They stated a refund would be actioned back onto my card. Been chasing after a refund and no sign of this money being put in my bank after lots of phone calls about this. The manager decided to recycle the cakes that I refused and put them into the glass display ready for another customer to buy!! Very bad customer service and hygiene standards coupled with bad attitude. Will not ever visit again . Finally have offered me a cash refund, however I live too far away to go into the shop . I have basically given money and have not received anything in return not even an apology! We have had lots of good memorable times when we have visited but on this occasion it was truly bad service. They even managed to give us a wrong order. I am in the process of taking further action .only one star given for them answering the phone!!

Nicest breakfast I think I've ever had. Presented beautifully by the most helpful of staff, in a setting that is not the usual corporate bland environment. Every time I return to Oakham, I know where I'm having breakfast .

Loved the wild mushrooms on sour dough last time we went so went back for more, but weren't the same this time the greens were cooked differently and had hummus on. This is a lovely bright cafe, serving excellent brunch food all day (including Sundays thankfully!). The Fika bowl is outstanding, with loads of different flavours and textures. I came to visit here last year and had some açai pancakes and I’ve been thinking about them ever since so I had to come back and try some more and the food here- it was all absolutely incredible today and sooo pretty!Also all the staff here are super friendly and we had such a lovely brunch!! We live about an hour away but this is definitely my favourite cafe, I would recommend this to absolutely everyone.

First time there, ( been in the shop a few times) found it lacking somewhat rather stark and a cold feel, could do with a makeover to a more homely feel, nice cappuccino though.

Decent coffee and great food, with some attention to detail on the flavour combinations. Attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. If the bao buns are on the menu, you won't be disappointed!

Lunch here was a really good experience. Friendly efficient staff and a good range of food on offer with interesting 'specials'. Our dog was made welcome too, which is always a plus for us.

Gorgeous food - little hidden gem in Oakham!

I love Fika, good food, good coffee but I have to say I have had 4 Fika bowls in the last few weeks and they've been of varying quality even with the same content. Different cooks maybe? And I know it's pressurised but very unsmiling staff. None of which stops me from recommending anyone a visit but consistency of quality and hospitality could do with a tweak.

Awesome cafe - fab and interesting food, great style and music and really flexible for children too. Highly recommend if you are in or near Oakham!

Having been for breakfast a few times now I was impressed with both the food and service. A great spot for a bite to eat and a coffee, I would definitely recommend!

There really is nothing else to say but this..."that is literally the best breakfast I've ever had, ever!". We had the Fika Fry and the avacado version. Guys and girls of the jury, it was insainly good! We're now going to make this a regular Saturday thing. Also, lovely place, staff and atmosphere. 10/10 for sure.

Fika is really nicely decorated. The coffee is pretty decent, one of the best cups of coffee in Oakham I'd say. We both had 'the fika fry', it was tasty. Eggs good, bacon good, beans good, sausage a bit fennelly. My only complaint was the sauce, it was wedged around the corner of the plate and not quite as hot as I expected hot sauce to be.......

This little hidden gem of a cafe is amazing. I came here with my Niece who had been before and she wasn’t wrong about it being brilliant. It was so difficult to chose from the menu as every dish sounded delicious and as the food came out to other people’s tables it looked even better than the descriptions. It’s amazing value for money as the portions are generous. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating. They were super careful about allergies and were very happy to supplement dishes accordingly. The smoked salmon and crayfish on sourdough was full of flavour and really filling. The homemade pickled beetroot was ridiculously good….I’ll be asking for extra next time I go. The French toast with berries and dipping sauces is a must…especially the tahini caramel sauce. Don’t change anything about this cafe….it’s perfect.

Service was fantastic, full of personality, super happy and clearly living what they are doing. Food was exceptional, both dishes were delicious and highly recommend the gingerbread milkshake! Atmosphere is super chilled and decor really cute. Honestly a lovely place for a late lunch, wished we lived closer.

Literally the best little café in oakham, we go here all the time and the food is always amazing. Especially the cakes. Staff are always friendly and fantastic value. Love uniqueness of each dish and cake too. Look forward to going every time and 100% recommend!

Walking from the Fire Station and wanting something for lunch I just happened upon the sign for this café. They thankfully couldn't make me 2 cheese and onion sandwiches but suggested bacon sandwiches instead. They were lovely, the bacon was nice and crispy and the toasted sourdough was amazing. I'm definitely going back.

I saw this reviewed here and thought it looked good. So when visiting Oakham this week we called in for lunch. Very friendly.The food looked good on the menu, but was even better than expected. No disappointment here. Wonderfully presented and very tasty. Definitely somewhere to go if you like something that is a bit different.Somewhere I feel very happy to recommend.

Sometimes just getting out for a coffee and cake albeit takeaway seems like the biggest treat and as it turns out, especially if you visit Fika in Oakham. On a tastiness level, this place delivered...and then delivered some more. The brunch ciabattas (both veggie and meat) were moorish, filling, and frankly out of this world. Now combine that with a gorgeous coffee and a slice of something naughty and we were momentarily in Saturday brunch heaven. Is it cheap, not really, is it good value, absolutely, and still less than a pub brunch - I’d choose Fika over anything else I’ve had of a similar ilk for a long time. Magnificent.

Fantastic little coffee shop which sells delicious donuts. Needs to be protected and championed during these difficult times.

One Word : Delicious!! I wish I had the chance to take a picture of the chocolate pancake lol my son loved it! My fishcake was amazing and my husband loved the Fika Fry... yes worth it! Glad I drove 30mn for it! Lovely place to celebrate our anniversary 😃 thank you!!

One of our all time favourite coffees. They are delicious!! Cakes are also amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful. A really lovely place to enjoy a catch up with a friend or a bit of time to yourself with a good book and a great coffee!!

Great coffee and delicious food.

We made an unscheduled stop in Oakham and wanted lunch. We came across Fika by accident but what a lucky find! The weekend brunch was unusual and tasty, and good value, although neither of us could finish our portion. The coffee was also good and fresh. Staff were friendly and efficient, particularly appreciated in these difficult times. Although the premises are small, we didn’t feel crowded.

Fantastic little cafe, very friendly and efficient. Delicious breakfast menu, we had the fry up and sourdough and avocado toast with the most delicious heritage tomatoes. Had to sample the cinnamon buns too. Coffee was good and service swift. Will definitely return.
