I went on Saturday after lunch peak and ordered a Margherita pizza. There was not a queue but it was difficult to find a seat still. The pizza was so delicious; the pizza dough was chewy and nice! I also liked the tomato sauce that tasted slightly sweeter than other sauces I tasted before, which are usually a bit sour… The price is comparably cheaper than other pizzas, considering the size. I will visit again and try other pizzas too! :))

Hot delicious pizza made with love and care, incredible value, which all together make Ffwnes the best destination in Cardiff. The other eateries on the upper floor of Cardiff Market are also very good.

Still sitting IN MY SEAT and couldn't wait to leave a 5star review for these guys and their pizza because it blew me and my partner away. Authentic ovenfired pizza made to order. Cool, casual atmosphere overlooking the indoor market. If you're a pizza person, you must try this place.

Excellent pizza, service, and location. I realised whilst waiting that I would have to rush to catch the next train but thankfully the [Sobrasada] pizza arrived promptly and I was able to enjoy it, albeit quickly.

First visited after seeing the TV programme Pizza Boys. Each time we have been the pizza has been delicious and very good value. Plenty of choice and usually a special on the menu. Definitely worth the visit.

Had spotted Ffwrnes Pizza on Google search and dropped for a pre match pizza. We were told food would be about half and hour but for freshly cooked food when it was very busy didn’t expect would be quicker. A space to eat was a challenge but all worked out in the end. Pizzas were great and would definitely look for a return if in Cardiff on a match day. Great food at a reasonable price.

Can't believe nobody has written a review since my previous one below. Well, just as fabulous as ever. We went for the "Summer in the city" this time and couldn't have been better. Superb fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked and those delicious flavours lingered for ages. Great value at £8:00 (cheaper options available) as the one large pizza was plenty for two hungry pensioners.

Overall great fresh pizza cooked in a Woodford oven! Quality ingredients used gave the pizza beautiful fluffy crust with beautiful tomato sauce and fresh cheese. In my top 10 best pizzas! Definitely recommend it’s located in the market on 1st floor up the stairs. Price point excellent value £7 one pizza will feed one person 4 slices.

Not the best pizza I've had. All the ingredients fell off the pizza once picked up to eat, and it had a burnt taste. We could hear how exhausted the staff were when calling for orders.

We had the pizza van for our wedding and to say it went down a storm would be an understatement! When our wedding is mentioned so many people say ‘the pizza was amazing!’ 😂 The service was excellent and they even left a little card for us in our card box 😊🍕

After walking around Cardiff market and heading upstairs I stumbled upon this pizza place and there was no way I was walking past without giving one a go. I’m so glad that I did because what fantastic pizza! The pizza was cooked to perfection and full of flavour and all of the menu was reasonably priced. There was a long wait for the pizza to arrive and the extra topping I asked for the guy did make up a price on the spot at £4 which I thought was a little much. But overall I would recommend as it’s some of the best pizza around and it was also great to see this type of place situated in Cardiff market.

Hidden gem upstairs in the market, pizza base was superb and one of the best we’ve tried! If you’re dining in the pizza is served on a plate rather than a takeaway box which is a nice touch. Staff are really pleasant and attentive.

Very tasty pizza, freshly made, at a reasonable price. Probably the best Naples style pizza I found in Cardiff. Topic are not the classic ones but work well. The main downside is that they are only open lunchtime (and closed Sun/Mon) and they don't deliver. If it wasn't for the opening times I would be a regular customer :)

I visit here occasionally when working in the city centre and the Pizza is always fantastic. If your thinking of visiting one of the many Pizza chain restaurants in Cardiff then you might want to consider supporting Independent establishments and giving this place a try. Top notch Neapolitan style pizza at a fraction of the price of a chain, and nicer too. The ingredients used are clearly quality. My go to pizza is the Fen Soz which includes fennel sausage and red onion as toppings

Step off the train hungry. Confused as to where to go for lunch? You won't go far wrong by heading for Cardiff market. If you can manage the stairs you'll agree that the effort was well worth it. You won't find such a tasty and authentic Italian pizza anywhere in the world. My wife and I have almost gone through the tempting selection and find it difficult to select a favourite but you won't go far wrong with a simple Margherita served up by such friendly and approachable staff.

Been longing to try the pizzas here after seeing the TV series. They did not disappoint. Possibly the tastiest pizzas we've eaten in the UK. Full of flavour and fair prices. Can't wait to visit Cardiff again for some more.

Having seen the lads TV series we have been waiting for the opportunity to travel from Swansea and pay them a first time visit. This busy place with its limited and slightly unconventional seating was initially a little off putting for us two pensioners but...

Olive Marinara. Sweet Jesus and the baby orphans. Can of ‘off beat pop’ and a gallery view of Cardiff Market. Sweet tomatoes and four big slices of utopia. I folded the first up, then took a chunk out of the pointy end. I got under the flop. The razor thin garlic, olives and steaming San Manzanos ouzed into my gob. Instantly I saw God. He was grinning like a Cheshire Cat and eating a slice himself. Him and Jesus were just off to a War on Drugs gig and were having the most perfect of all days. I finished the warm doughy crust and went in for a second. The smell was as good on the nose as the tongue and I took a moment to inhale, toying with myself. Spiritual enlightened and now seeing life with a renewed sense of purpose.

Waited a while to visit here, what with Covid and all, but it was well worth the wait and I won't be waiting so long to return. Amazing pizza and fantastic value. Great staff and a more "street food" type setting for a more authentic experience... the setting adds to the experience. The "Pizza Boys", showing us how it's done, are also generous with their advice; I've been grateful for the advice they've shared on social media as I've tried to replicate at home during lockdown 👍

Best pizza in Cardiff that I have had. Menu has about 5-6 pizzas but all I have had are done to an excellent standard and come in at well under a tenner. Recommended.

We run a wedding venue. Ffwrnes Pizza were chosen by a recent couple to provide guests with their evening meal. Ffwrnes Pizza served from their van in the courtyard (very Covid friendly!)The team were a pleasure to work with. Their staff were charming, they were very professional and left our venue really neat and clean. Not to mention, their pizza is absolutely delicious, it honestly tastes exactly like true Italian pizza from Naples! We love these guys and now we recommend them to all our prospective couples for their weddings.
