In the center of Oxford, a small restaurant away from the big brands. Varied food, the staff is pleasant and smiling, the prices are affordable for my part I took a heatly plate for 9€ I enjoyed it.

Right at the entrance we stood there not knowing if we would order or if we would sit down to order, after 10 minutes at the entrance a man came and gave us the menu, we went to place the order and the person who served us seemed like he was forced there. We placed the order and when they gave it to us the food was completely cold.

Great place to stop for inexpensive, reliable food, served quickly, right in the centre of Oxford. My 13 year old son loves it and insists we eat here, every time we're in town!

Food was not good, especially the burger 🍔. The other dishes, a lot of rice and just a little meat. Unfriendly employees. Degraded environment.

On November 15th, I ordered two plates of picanha steak, one well-done and the other medium-rare. The medium-rare dish was delivered correctly, with an acceptable picanha steak. However, the well-done dish contained only a few pieces of meat. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction and stating that it did not match what I had requested, I was informed that these meat pieces were considered picanha, and it was the standard way of serving it. Although I decided to proceed with the meal after the explanation, I made it clear to the staff that it would be my last visit to the establishment, and I would share a negative review. This situation was uncomfortable, not only making me feel deceived but also leading me to cancel the dessert orders I had planned to enjoy at the venue. Later, one of the staff members attempted to refund me money that I hadn't even paid, something I could have dishonestly kept. In the end, when settling the bill, I was surprised to learn that the meal was complimentary. As for the quality of the food, the rice and bean stew were acceptable. However, the way the "picanha" was served did not meet the appropriate standard of service.

To start with the picanha is not “picanha” it's mattress soft, you guys are adding only a little piece of it on the plate, you guys are adding bicarbonate in the food to make people fall fool faster, one spoon of rice and one of Beans the plate is over how come £10? To begin with, the picanha isn't picanha, it's a stupid piece of mattress pole, you put bicarbonate of soda in the food to fill it up faster, a spoonful of rice and a spoonful of beans and the dish costs more than £10 for the trip

Always visit here when I'm in Oxford, on and off for 15 years at least, always lovely food and a friendly vibe! Went here again today (30th Oct) and it's still as great as always!

I went in for a bacon lettuce and tomato toasty and a slice of toast with butter for my 2 year old I watched as 3 members of staff handled my food, and it also came out with no lettuce or tomato’s in and my sons toast was stone cold with rock hard butter I was fuming he took the toasty back to put tomatoes and lettuce in it, but by then I’d gone of my food and left hungry and got nothing for my £4.50. There was no love put into my food at all.

The portion sizes and fries were great! But the steak was quite chewy, so definitely order something else.

Of the 5 days I spent in the UK, this was the only restaurant that left me missing, the carbonara pasta is divine. The local cuisine is terrible, I can say that this was the only place where I felt "at home" Delicious food, fast service and fair prices. The only thing I have to point out is that the space itself is a little run down and deserves renovation work. Other than that, the food is top notch!

Very cozy place with delicious, filling food in large portions. Highly affordable for the amount of food you get, and friendly staff as well. Highly recommended for casual lunches!

We visited this café during a short coffee break. The counter staff is friendly and we received our order quickly. Unfortunately, the covered seating is not nice and lacks any atmosphere. It is very dirty and the tables are cleared but not cleaned - even when there is obvious contamination - not to mention the toilets.

This was our first visit to Fernando’s Cafe. We weren’t sure what to expect as it does look very ‘basic and simple’ inside. On ordering our food, we were met by a friendly, helpful chap whom I informed this was our first time eating at this particular cafe. He explained how the process worked at which stage I went ahead and ordered. Our food came to us. I can quite honestly say, it tasted absolutely amazing. My husband and I both said the chips we had were probably the best we’d ever eaten and as for our burgers, they were also very good. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant as although as previously mentioned, the actual cafe doesn’t shall we say ‘sell itself well’, the food is a different matter which of course is what matters, it’s just fabulous. Thanks guys for a lovely lunch at Fernando’s cafe, we will definitely come back to you.

Run by lovely Brazilian people. Average quality food, inside is a little dark and poorly decorated.

We had wanted to attend here for lunch and rang twice to get directions, and twice the rude staff put the phone down. We went elsewhere and enjoyed our meal with friendly staff.

Great little gem hidden in the busiest part of Oxford! Most flavorful food I’ve had in the UK with a cozy ambience.

Went to Fernando’s today for a quick break before exploring Oxford city. We’ve had the chimi baguete, coffee and guaraná, and we were no disappointed. It was exactly what we needed. The team is very smiley, and the menu offers everyone’s taste. I highly recommend. Thank you Fernando for offering so much.

Bife acebolada (beef and onion with rice beans and farofa) is the best on the menu. The traditional brazilian cakes are a must too. Have gone there for hears and the standards have always been high. Cash only

Excellent street side cafe in the centre of Oxford. Had the excellent Chicken Pesto salad.

You can only sit down on their tables that is placed on a public footpath if you buy something. Not welcoming at all for all of us who just want to sit down and eat something. I am a old lady and they place made me sit on the pavement. At least be welcoming and let me sit down

Fernando’s Cafe is a local business located in the heart of Oxford serving beautifully cooked, fresh and healthy homemade food for over a decade. They offer a wide range of British cafe cuisine, although their speciality and differential is their Brazilian food dishes. Their organic homemade cakes and excellent coffee are also an attraction for anyone walking past, and as a bonus they offer a large variety of vegan and gluten free products. Their wonderful and friendly team will make you feel very welcome at anytime of the year, whether you’re sat outside having one of their gorgeous chicken salads with a vanilla iced latte during summertime, or inside with a coconut hot chocolate in one of their cosy sofas in winter

The best tasting coffee in Oxford and the service is brilliant. The staff are so friendly and helpful...I ordered a hazelnut flat white but was given a normal flat white by mistake. I didn't complain because I didn't really mind but the staff realised their mistake and gave me a free drink, unprompted. They were so polite and lovely. I highly recommend Fernando's Café, it really is very good coffee!

Good option to satisfy your longing for Brazilian food.

It's a nice enough cafe in city centre. We picked it as we have never had Brazilian food. There are not a lot of Brazilian options, most of the food is typical British food. Still, the steak and black bean stew were really nice.

Every time I need to go to Oxford Centre, this is my must go place to eat. Food is good, fair price and reminds me home.

We've often walked passed this cafe and not thought much of it, but decided one summer whilst out about, to grab a coffee. We've been going every week since then. It's not only got delicious coffees (with flavoured syrups), but very delictable cakes with plenty of variety. The mains are also super delicious. Epic comfort food, amazing portions and tastes amazing. Everything is made fresh and incredibly flavourful. Highly recommended. Lovely friendly staff as well.

Great food....great service. Freshly cooked and tasty and really accomodating of my son's weird food needs and adjusted the breakfast with no hassle. Brilliant!

Hygiene wasn’t the greatest but the food is the closest thing to Brazilian you can get for that price point in the region. Overall, pretty tasty and had a nice time in the indoors dining area. Food was also served really quickly, although a better selection of drinks would be optimal.

This restaurant is in the corner of the cross in Oxford center, outdoor environment is great but indoor is incomparable. This is healthy chicken meal, food quality and presentation are no doubt incredible, salad was fresh, chicken was juicy.

Very friendly staff I tried the rice with chicken and the corn was delicious I also tried their Arabic kabsa, it was one of the most amazing kabbas I have ever tried in my life, as if you eat kabsa in Arab countries.

Friendly staff and wonderful home cooked food in the centre of Oxford. Definitely worthwhile trying the specials! I used to come here all the time to get the chicken sweetcorn, but now I've gone veggie the staff will whip me up an alternative with eggs and/or fallafel. Always lather it with hot sauce :D

Dishes and menus to eat in a moment at a good price and of good quality.... special and to highlight the coffees and desserts.

Ordered 2 milkshakes. When they eventually arrived, one was the wrong flavour. When I watched the staff making my vanilla milkshake it was so thick, she couldn't pour it in to the glass. She had to Spoon it in. £4.50 wasted, as I couldn't drink it.

In Oxford, one of the best restaurants to eat Brazilian food if you're around westgate. Friendly staff, good food and well served. Price is also ok. The only downside is for the drinks, as far as I could see, they only offer cans (not cold at all, unfortunately) with no straws or glasses, unless you ask for one, which IMO is not hygienic. I would be coming back, regardless. Thanks, guys.

Picanha Steak. Was filling the lady that first served me was very polite. The food was filling. It rained today so I was pleased that there was indoor seating. A nice change as I rarely eat Brazilian food.

Staff were very unhelpful, slow and unfriendly -- I ordered the Brazilian espresso, which tasted really awful and bland. There seems to be a great lack of care and attention in this place.

Stopped here for lunch as we wanted to eat at an independent rather than a chain. The guy who took our order was excellent & recommended a fab falafel option from their amazing menu (there were loads of other fab veggie choices too). The food was just excellent & great prices too. I'm definitely eating here again the next time I'm in Oxford.
