Felicity's at Eden Lodge in North Ayrshire

Beautiful tender and rich leg of lamb roast. Not usually a fan of lamb but this was exquisite.

We had a fantastic and impromptu time there. Surprisingly delicious cocktails, good fresh food and a lovely view of the sea. Thank you !

Sunday night and the restaurant was busy and warm - very welcoming. The food was really good. I had pate and risotto and both were excellent. We will definitely be back 😊

Staying locally in the month of October, The Shurig was the only place serving food opened whilst we stayed in Whiting Bay (we ate here on the first night of thr week they opened - a Wednesday). We received lovely friendly service and decent pub style food in this understanbly busy restaurant.

There is not one single sign saying that this place is Felicity's. The signs outside say otherwise. The opening and closing times are incorrect. Google said it was open, and when we got there (after hours of searching), it was closed.

Enjoyed the food, albeit slightly pricey. Friendly and attentive service - hope to be back soon.

The new team at More ( exFelicity's) were just getting started when we booked a table. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Food ok.

Excellent service! Delicious food! Great location. What more do you need? Well, we hadn't booked, the place was rammed, they were dealing with all the covid rules brilliantly, and delivered the food to our motorhome parked along the road a bit. How's that for service??? Bloody marvellous!

Excellent food until numbers of covid cases rose in scotland and only served in cardboard boxs to eat outside.

6 of us collected takeaway food from Eden Lodge and we were asked if we wanted to eat it on the picnic tables Friendly staff and reasonably priced food. We will return

It was never opened! Advertised a beer garden from 3pm but I think i seen it open twice over a 7day period. Such a shame as it looks lovely

Great meal and very helpful staff.

The food is unremarkable and you could probably get better in most pubs. For my starter I had tempura octopus rings. The dipping sauce was in a small plastic container. Had they run out of bowls? The main was luke warm flat iron steak, and the apple crumble desert was microwaved to oblivion and would be better described as "apple crumble soup". They could do so much better with a little bit of effort, but I'm not sure they care that much. Beautiful location.

We had dinner here our first night on the island. My mum had the fried black pudding to start which she said was the best she'd had in a long time. I have the garlic prawns which were yummy. For mains we both got the dish of the day which was flat iron steak served with chips (we upgraded to hand cut fries). The steak was so good and cooked perfectly. The service here was very attentive, helpful and friendly and I'd definitely recommend.

...and it’s as good as ever. The menu is currently restricted because of limitations on the number of staff in the kitchen, but the food and service are as good as ever. We love the place

We went twice this week for a meal in the evening... so good the first time we cancelled our booking elsewhere for last night..Food quality was very good.. my husband had the sea bass both times!,,I had fish and chips the first time. The chef very kindly did mine in breadcrumbs.. my dad had the battered fish. Last night I had the steak. The apple crumble was so good had it both times!!Certainly would recommend booking this restaurant before you go to Arran especially with restrictions at the moment.

Food was fantastic!! Dined inside with no alcohol due to Covid Restrictions. Quality and variety was perfect. Two specials also available. I had pulled chilli beef with Nachos. Highly recommend it. Staff were amazing. Very attentive and chatty. Overall this was a GREAT experience. We will definitely be back. Good value too!!

Table for one .. and was made welcome. Had a wonderfully tasty sea bass with the best salsa verde I've had. Great sea views, from all aspects of the restaurant and the sunny beer garden. Will def be back on my next visit to this wonderful island.

It is a lovely restaurant prepared for everything.the food service is pretty quick and it's great food.it is very rich mind but is still delicious.the seating area was good as well and you don't even have to wear facemasks.the staff were all so extremely friendly and we hope to go back there again.

Went twice on our recent visit to Whiting Bay. Service, helpfulness and friendliness couldn't be faulted. During the difficult circumstances that we are all in this was great. Fine food (Chickpea curry was excellent) and Gavin and the rest of them couldn't have been more helpful even though eat-in was full. We had a take away at our place one ni take away in the garden another. All good. Thank you.

Friendly and welcoming with good value tasty food

Friendly service along with sensible social distancing. A decent menu that delivered on all counts. Good wines available and good value for your money. If the sun is shining, I would encourage a seat / table outdoors !

We had dinner here on our final night of the holiday and also had 2 takeaways here and had a drink in the beer garden outside. The staff are very friendly, the macaroni was the best I have ever eaten and my son had a delicious pizza. It seems to be a very popular place.

What a great experience! So impressed with Felicity's, just as lovely as always and felt very safe. The staff seem to be very aware of COVID policies whilst making us feel welcome. We shared a burger and some fish and chips- delicious! Efficient, friendly service. You can tell that the owners really take pride in what they do. It's a pleasure to support a local business in this difficult time but would recommend booking as it seems very popular.

We had toured round the east side of the island and were heading back to Lamlash when I recalled that Felicity’s does a super draught pint of Schiehallion. We stopped in and sat in the kind of makeshift beer garden area with all the social distancing measures in place. The weather was excellent and the beer as good as I remembered. Lovely spot but surprisingly quiet.

We stopped a few times at Eden Lodge while staying in Whiting Bay and we had a very good burger, huge fish and chips and good pizza. The beer is also good and an excellent array of gins (matched by the knowledge of the bar staff), but the ones my wife particularly liked were from the Isle of Harris and Kintyre. Also if you sit outside you get one of the best views on the island.

My family had been regular visitors to this place...until nowStopped by last night at 7.30pm and asked if we could sit outside for dinner. After looking at the menu we chose what we were having and went to the bar to order at 7.50pm. After waiting in the queue for around 5 minutes, we went to order and the barmaid said that they stopped serving food at 8pm so would check with the Chef (who is also the owner) if they would be able to serve us. After speaking to him, another waitress came out and said sorry we wont be able to cook you dinner as the kitchen closes in two minutes. ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH???! You have watched me stand in a queue behind two people, and you are going to refuse our order.After a couple minutes of back and forth and the waitress thretening for the Chef to come and explain to us...they finally gave in.We were so flabbergasted! Never heard in my life a kitchen knocking back an order before the kitchen actually closes....especially after the waiting/bar team knew we were sitting outside about to order food. Even if it was 8pm on the dot, surely you would be desperate for business and take the order considering the loss suffered by Covid...Staff were not the best at communicating and were rather rude. And for a Chef who is also of the owner of the place to refuse business is nuts and unheard of.Food was nice when it came however the attitude and first impressions put a serious dampner on the night. We felt like we werent wanted and had to put up a fight to get our dinner.Wont be back!

Nice place with a lovely outside area to enjoy the sun. The food is very good and the service was super 👌 I recommend it but you should booked in advance because is fully booked most of the times

We arrived in Whiting Bay and were pleased to see this place open and serving drinks in the beer garden. All the proper protection precautions were in place and the staff very friendly. During our stay we had takeaway food twice and both times it was excellent and ready perfectly on time. We had hoped to dine in at the weekend but as it was the first weekend it was back open it was fully booked and we had to settle for our second takeaway. I would have loved to review their sit-in menu as well but it wasn't to be.

In the middle of this CV19 fiasco it's good to see places managing to keep going. I would think a restaurant worth visiting in normal times, at the moment they are doing a limited take away menu.Great staff, lovely food and if you wish you can eat it outside in their front beer garden overlooking Whiting Bay. Not today though I carried it home.I ordered early afternoon for an early evening pick up, my wife liked the sea bass option, I tried the mac-cheese and my son the Margarita Pizza. I arrived early for a quick pint and the meals were brought out to me. Everything piping hot when I got home and enjoyed by the three of us. Thanks Felicity's.

Went for a meal on a Thursday night, it was a gorgeous meal, the food was really quick and lovely. The staff were super friendly and funny,l. Would highly recommend.

We arrived at Felicity’s at about 7pm after a long days walk. We’d walked from Whiting Bay across the south of the island to Kilmory/Lagg on the first sunny day of the year, and found those places closed! And the next bus was an hour and a half later! So after waiting for an hour and a half for the bus and getting chilled to the bone we eventually made it to Felicity’s. And worth the wait! The staff were very friendly, and the choice of beer was very good - the Schiehallion beer was superb.We relaxed before having a lovely meal - my wife had the steak and ale pie which she loved, and I had the chicken and black pudding which was a real treat.A lovely end to a fantastic day.

The restaurant is beautiful and very elegant with amazing views.The food was delicious and received excellent service. Highly recommend this place.

Great staff, and a good spot for kids ..

Stayed in Whiting Bay for a week over the New Year period and popped into the downstairs bar on a few occasions. Restaurant always looked busy and food looked good so we decided to try it on our last night. As there were 7 of us, we did book first. Food was well presented and lovely choice on the menu. We went for a bottle of red wine which was reasonably priced and easy to drink. I think the lady we spoke to may have been the owner as she said she chose the wine. Will definitely visit here again when we are back over and we wish them every success for this coming year.

Food was gorgeous! All four of us absolutely loved our meals. Starters of grilled prawns, haggis nachos and pate were all a hit. Mains of chicken and steak were great, with both steaks cooked perfectly (rare and medium-rare). Service was excellent, friendly but professional and the place itself was attractive and comfortable. Couldn't ask for more.

Fantastic location, plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the spectacular views. Reasonably priced food and drink. Always call in here when we are on the Island.

After spending the day walking we dropped into Felicity’s for drinks. Although we were the only people there, it was around 5pm, the place is welcoming and the staff friendly. There is a downstairs bar but we prefer to sit where there are outside views. They serve a good range of beers, ciders and wines as well as an excellent selection of spirits. This is a good place for a few drinks and although we didn’t eat here on this visit, the food when we have dined has been good.

This is a regular haunt of ours and maintains an excellent standard of food and service. The menu is supplemented by a seasonal range of specials which are hand written on a specials board which is brought to your table which is a nice touch.

Wir waren zum Dinner hier und es war sehr lecker. Die Küche arbeitet mit frischen Zutaten und das Essen war sehr gut. Preise sind fair und zusätzlich zur Speisekarte gibt es zahlreiche Tagesempfehlungen. Rundum zufrieden und wir können das Restaurant weiter empfehlen.

We visit here for dinner three or four times a year - each time we go to Arran. That probably says it all! Food is excellent. Felicity and staff most welcoming and helpful. We just won't miss a chance to visit. Oh, and best to book.

We only had drinks, so can't comment on the food. The downstairs bar was full of folk watching football (a pool table seemed to take most of the space) so we tried upstairs in the bistro/restaurant. It was half full but although okay to have just drinks we weren't offered a table and sat on sofas, which were okay. Drinks nice enough, staff polite but a strange atmosphere in there (quite rowdy and loud for a bistro) . Still half full when left so could have had a table for an hour with a little initiative shown. The only place in Whiting Bay so give it a go but I assume Saturday is not the best time for a casual pint or two.

We had been really looking forward to our meal here, and when we arrived were really pleased withe feeling of bustle and atmosphere.However, the food, with the exception of the pizza failed to deliver.No sauce on the crayfish starter (the next table to ours sent it back); chicken swamped in tarragon (or another strong spice);and almost no sauce on the sticky toffee pudding !Small touches which make or break a meal.

As the title says... myself, mum and daughter had a really great night. Steak and seabass was good - v well cooked, cocktails were great, shots were fun. Would recommend and will absolutely return.

I visited Felicitys while on a weekend break in Arran, the food and wine were both really good and tasty, table service was great and the views were incredible. A reasonable priced menu.

Visited on a Monday evening in mid-September and there was a good crowd in. Only two in our group took the starter mackerel tartare and unfortunately both found it bland. The main course saved the day. Two had the fish pie on special, one the beef burger, one the halloumi burger and I had the battered haddock and chips. All good. My portion of fish so huge I could not finish it. Still found room for

... a great Gin Menu. The food nice, the staff was pleasant and the Gin Menu was fabulous. I really recommened this place if you are in Whiting Bay

We decided to save Felicity’s till the last day of our holiday which was a mistake as the food was great!! We both ate from the specials menu ..my husband had the salted hake and I had the steak and Guinness pie followed by white chocolate and raspberry roulade and apple and cinnamon crumble. This is really good home cooked food. Staff are friendly and efficient. The menu has loads of choice .. can definitely recommend a visit (or three!)

Service super syma, personnel très attentif et qui prend le temps de servir les plats sans nous presser. originalité des recettes pleines de saveur. Conseils avisés des serveuses. Cadre calme et très agréable. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le plat d'agneau accompagné de sa purée de pois à la menthe.

Here on our second last of the Arran Coastal Way and went for our evening meal. It was excellent and definitely the best meal of the time we’ve been on Arran. The lamb was cooked to perfection and I couldn’t fault a thing. Such a treat after some of the meals we have had.

We were stopping overnight at Whiting Bay in our campervan, so called in here for lunch. We always support local services if we wild camp anywhere.

We hadn’t booked but we were early and lucky. Definitely book if you want to eat after seven, as even on a Monday the place got packed.

Arrived at about 3.15 pm and unfortunately too late for lunch. Kitchen were gracious enough to provide a delicious bowl of hot soup. Very enjoyable followed by coffee and cake.

Ich hatte vorher einen Tisch reserviert, wie es mir vom verschiedenen Gastgebern generell auf der Insel empfohlen haben und hab direkt einen Tisch am Fenster bekommen. Fish & Chips waren sehr gut und das Dessert (Chocolate Fudge Cake) unglaublich! Etwas teurer als normal, aber trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen!

We’ve had an excellent dinner at Felicity’s tonight, from pizza to pie to steak all was very well cooked. Would enjoy a return visit!

I reviewed this restaurant last year as one of the best places to eat on Arran. A year later and this place is up for sale. Despite this we thought we would return. Despite booking a table we were made to wait with young children as there was no table available. When the food came it was so salty I could barely eat mine. It has become very mediocre and sadly not the place it was a year ago.

Nice menu, prices, very good service and nice atmosphere.

They make a lovely coffee. Very comfortable couches, friendly staff and a stunning sea view.

Cracking little pub with an excellent downstairs bar that shows football. Pool table aswell. One of the few if only places in Arran that shows football.

Wide menu with a lot to choose from. Staf were smartly dressed and very attentive. No pressure to finish up or pay. Would recommend and would go back.

Popped in for dinner whilst on holiday. 4 meals ordered, 3 were good but the 4th dish ordered, which came highly recommended by the manager was, in my opinion, too perfumed and some of the ingredient's usual delicious flavours were lost. Asked for it to be removed from our bill and the waitress was happy to do so. Sad to see the Eden Lodge up for sale again, have visited many times over the years. The gin bar pink theme is perhaps a little forced for such a laid back welcoming village.

Very good place to eat, with reasonable prices. The 10oz steak at £16 is good value all round NOT entirely dog friendly, dog's only allowed at the outside garden tables which isn't feasible in bad weather. Ate here twice, steak both times, and both times we asked for medium rare and never got it so the kitchen staff may not be the most experienced but unless you are overly fussy it's not too big a deal. Overall a nice place at Whiting Bay with a lovely view of the sea.

The Isle of Arran offers a variety of dining establishments to complement the lush terrain and seashore views. Perhaps you will put in at Whiting Bay or have taken in the falls in the nearby forest. There is no need to travel further as Felicity's easily equals quality of cuisine and ambiance that could be found further down the road in either direction. Menu is pretty much standard: burgers are cooked to well done by law; fries are good; salads were above average; steak and ale pie might be a better choice elsewhere. Selection of spirits wide ranging and well served. Staff was courteous and attentive on all occasions.

Managed to get a last minute table. Staff so lovely. Food was fantastic. Husband had an enormous fish pie so full of fish I had a chicken salad but with so many wonderful ingredients very satisfied diners

We have eaten at Felicity’s on a few visits to Arran. On this visit we just dropped into the upstairs bar for a drink. The place is well decorated and welcoming. The staff are friendly and they have a really good selection of beers and wines. If you like lager, then try the Schiehallion, it is a wonderful Scottish lager, dry with a hoppy aftertaste.
