Very friendly family business; husband and wife from Italy. They specialize in basic food, not fancy, done well. The breakfast menu might seem too simple for some, be we liked it for the variety of egg combinations possible. Had 2 flat whites, when I enjoyed very much. Then I found out they roast their own beans in Italy and serve them in the cafe here. Nice selection of pastries to go with the coffees, and to sample a few we could ask for "half servings".

It was my friend's birthday party and we had fantastic time! Food was impressive, phenomenal quality and mouth-watering! Annarita, thank you so much for hosting us! We will definitely come again! It was just incredible! I loved every minute of my time in Fazenda. I can recommend it to everyone!

Fazenda is a local favourite. A popular place for local residents and office workers to catch up over a cup of great tasting artisan coffee. The staff are friendly and there is always a great atmosphere inside with good conversation. Always an array of delicious cakes and tasty pastries on the counter. The café does a tasty lunch with generous portions of Italian home made cooking. Excellent value for money. Annarita and Antonio are warm and welcoming hosts who make people want to come back for more. If you are in the Aldgate area make sure it is on your tick list of places to visit. You won't be disappointed.

I actually went to the one on Harrow place, assume it's the same place, looking for a healthy and filling lunch I could eat in the office. I have worked in the City for a while and often bemoaned the lack of a place like this. Put simply the food was delicious, fresh, healthy and well-portioned. I had a lunch box which consisted of beautifully cooked roast beef, wholesome and delicious pasta ragu, peas and cabbage. It was probably the best takeaway meal I have ever had and is ideal to have at your desk while cracking on with work. To make it even better I had a generous slice of homemade cake which was incredibly good. All of this was made all the more impressive as they delivered this during lockdown. In summary this place is absolutely brilliant and when I get the chance I will go and eat in as the staff were all extremely charming and friendly. We have been going to Fazenda for 7 years now and there is just no place like it. The coffee and cakes are out of this world. The food is great and it always feels so homely coming here. We feel like we are visiting family whenever we visit. Always a delight.

I was in the area on a Monday and fancied having a tea to kill half an hour before meeting a friend. The cafe looked the perfect spot for this. After ordering a tea and explaining that I'd like to sit down, the staff member rudely implied that I wasn't allowed to sit down as it was lunchtime even though there were over 10 seats available! Being slightly confused, I asked him to clarify if I really wasn't allowed to sit down and he said 'yes' but with no apology! I'm never coming here again!

The food is great every single time (I live very close by and have been a costumer for years!) You can choose from several options and whatever you choose you won't be disappointed. The desserts are amazing as well so make sure you at least try the tiramisu, or the cheesecake, or the chocolate cake, or... Both Antonio and his wife are super nice and genuinely good at their job. If you like art, you'll also enjoy the exhibitions they always have going on.

Walking into here feels like walking into a modern Rome coffee shop where the barista reflects a previous life where he used to do things that gives him nightmares and he never wants to talk about again, When he was younger he met a woman that changed his life. she spent years understanding him and his need to make coffee.. he understood her need to break out of hanging laundry over crowded roman alleyways to allow her make fantastic baking her way of her life. The local Don found out about their dreams and offered them a choice.. make him cakes and coffee or death.... they had no choice but to escape at midnight during a darkened night by dressing as nuns and getting on the first fishing trawler leaving the local fishing where they worked their way to to London by gutting fish and cooking for the trawler crew When they arrived in London they opened a coffee shop and lived for many many years in peace, love and were loved by the local community. Slowly as time goes by someone from the 'old world' catches up with them and offers them silence in return for their underground famous Tiramisu.. their safety is only assured because of this stunning dish. Arriviamo davanti al caffè e vediamo che non c'è nulla e sembra permanentemente chiuso. Un signore lì vicino vedendoci un po' persi ci dice che il bar si è spostato 100 metri più in là in un'altra strada e quindi lo troviamo subito. Ci accomodiamo dentro e prendiamo due pezzi di torta e un paio di caffè; il caffè è molto buono e scopro che hanno una loro torrefazione in Italia. La schiuma del mio cappuccino lo è un po' meno, il latte incandescente mi ha reso la vita difficile e purtroppo le torte non erano come quelle "della nonna" o comunque niente di eccezionale sfortunatamente. I live around the corner and I have been coming almost every day for the past couple years. Antonio, his lovely wife and everyone who works at Fazenda have become part of our life here in central London. Now that it’s time to move to our next adventure, we will miss these wonderful humans, the strong most delicious coffee and the feeling that one can magically escape the business of London and find oneself somewhere else. Somewhere friendly, cozy, relaxed. Thank you!

Fazenda has moved, just around the corner. Let me be the first to review it, well I was the first to eat a "full English breakfast with loads of veggies" there, served by a beaming Antonio and his lovely wife Anarita. Antonio was smiling in part because he is pleased with his new space and it is amazing, bigger than the old Fazenda, you could just about fit the old one upstairs, but with the same minimalist bohemian chic. Antonio and Anarita provide the warmth, if you want great coffee wood roasted in Rome and a delicious home made cake it is the place to pop into for a chat and a laugh.

I love this place- they serve home cooked delicious Italian food (simple but healthy and wholesome), the owners are so friendly and the coffee and cakes are amazing. You feel like you're in Italy.

This is really one of the best coffee places that you can find in London (although it might be difficult if you look for it since it does not have a sign at all on the shop!). Friendly service with a large range of home made cakes and beans to go from their own roastery in Italy. Pure quality.

This little place is so good; the coffee is fantastic but its the lunch menu that keeps me coming back, simple but utterly delicious! The staff are very friedly and helpful - i totally love it.

Este es un café excepcionalmente amable que hace café excepcional y un gran desayuno de bacon, salchichas y huevos de todos modos usted italiano como. Llegué demasiado temprano para la tienda de bicicletas local así tenía una hora o así para matar y lo recomendaría encarecidamente este café artesanal. Mi esposa, mi hija y mi nieta fueron en la ley buscando textiles explorando Spitalfields, que encontramos a granel, entonces necesitamos algo de almuerzo y el uso de un baño.

Está ubicado en el carril Petticoat, justo en el límite de la ciudad, e incluso si está un poco fuera de mi alcance, ahora me aseguro de detenerme allí regularmente para el café.

Fuimos a visitar Fazenda de camino a su trabajo (después de espiar las tartas más bonitas en la ventana por unas pocas semanas). A las 07:55 de la mañana me reuní con dos personas muy amables. . Antonio and his family make this little restaurant a very warm and welcoming place. The food is amazing. Definitely a must, if you are in the city and for once you want authentic people and a little time to relax.

Los alrededores de la calle Liverpool, Fazenda es el lugar donde parar! ! Una cálida bienvenida le espera, este lugar es especial gracias a los chicos que corren: amable, apasionado de lo que hace! Es más una cafetería pastelería, pasteles caseros y (sobre todo) pastiera arr increíble, pero también una buena opción para comer: 13 libras y que elija primero, principal y vegetariano! ! ! ! Bien hecho chicos :).

Esto es tan cerca como se pueda llegar a almorzar en Italia. . En realidad no se. Aunque en Italia. Muy hearthy y comida genuina y ambiente, por un precio muy razonable.

Relaxing owners and place. Home made food and best coffee in the area. Delicious Italian cakes. The selection at the counter is always great and especially for the vegetable.

Ordinarily, you might walk past this place as it's off the main strip where all the other restsurants are. You have to be curious to walk in, but once inside, you'll find a stripped back café with down to earth people serving honest Italian food. My office has moved away from the area, but I make the trip once a week, to get my coffee fix.

The best part of this place is the coffee and cakes...! They're exactly like in Italy and I know why : they have a "pasticciere" that makes the cakes daily downstairs and they are delicious Tempt yourself and have the crostata- yum!

Genuine, easy going, healthy food and fantastic owners! Dishes mainly come from central Italy, selection is wide and desserts and coffee are really good, particularly Tiramisu. There is no menu, and you can choose from a selection of dishes freshly cooked. Very reasonable price, this place is not a fancy restaurant, it is a honest, independent place that provides lunch, competing with the usual many chains that there are in London, but being much healthier, honest and without the usual stress of being in a queue and being treated like a number while rushing through ordering you lunch, paying and eating. Here you can feel at home!

The quality of the food is OK. The selection is nearly nonexistent compared with the same lace in Italia or other good places in London. Also the website is something in Japanese. Could be good, but poorly executed.

"A good meal in a period dining room. The menu has an Austrian theme. Scallops with bearnaise was interesting and good. Rollmop herring was good. The escalope was ok but not perfect. Some wines were particularly good value."

Had a fantastic night, so different such a great idea. Food was lovely fantastic staff and even though it was busy the staff are very attentive. Such a good atmosphere. Great cocktails too. Worth booking.

Delightful spot for a rendezvous in the heart of the city. You are welcomed by enticing aromas of coffee and cake as you walk in that do not disappoint. Best coffee anywhere. A nondescript shopfront that hides a well-kept secret ... selfishly, let's keep it that way!! What an amazing find.

We call Fazenda "Antonio's" the name of the owner. He's the tall man with a cheeky smile! Always been made welcome here, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Great for a morning coffee or a nice lunch. Get's busy at lunchtime, so get there early.I highly recommend his wife's amazing cake selection, her cheesecake is the best I've ever tasted. A great place to chill out.Alex

Lots of meat, amazing salads, good service. Good atmosphere, dingy toilets! The buffet bar had a great choice with something for everyone.

At Fazenda you really feel as if you have been invited into a family home - the same if you go there for a great coffee (cakes are divine too !) or the buffet lunch, which is a changing parade of delicious dishes - many are light vegetarian. This means you can have more variety and not feel bloated after eating.The staff are very friendly without being over attentive - it always has a fun atmosphere

Oggi ho assaggiato la pastiera.. da meridionale innamorato della sua terra posso dire che è davvero buona. Non mi aspettavo di trovarla dato che avevo letto "qui" che non la facevano ma i titolari mi hanno spiegato che i dolci che loro propongono sono diversi( e confermo la varietà esposta sul bancone) e dunque subiscono una sorta di rotazione, un mio collega ad esempio mi haconsigliato la "ricciolina", purtroppo oggi non era il suo turno.. Una ottima scusa per tornare prossimamente e gustare ancora dell'ottimo caffè accompaganto da buoni dolci

This is a little gem in an out of the way street near Liverpool Street. Lovely friendly owner, and fantastic coffee. A great change from the aggressively hipster coffee joints around this area, and amazing homecooked Italian food and cakes.

I was introduced to this non descript place a few months back by a colleague who was crazy about it and rightfully so.Can't comment on the normal food but as far as the coffee and desserts are concerned, they really are excellent.As for the service, I've never had a bad experience in the many many times I've been there over the past few months.It's got a lot of character and the people that work there are clearly passionate about what they do and it shows.It's a perfect way to finish off a Grill Bites session (superb grilled chicken around the corner on Toynbee St).

It's very disappointing to make my final decision to never go back. It used to be a decent little restaurant that easily deserved 4 stars. They used to offer good food, well cooked and carefully prepared, good coffee and delicious desserts. Service had always been Italian-style, that is, don't expect posh treatment but for a quick lunch during the week was perfect and staff was very cheerful.A few months ago we went there just before the refurbishment and the lady that used to cook there was not there. The experience was terrible, the food was disgusting. We though she was on holiday and decided to try again after the summer and after the refurbishment had completed.We have been there twice since and for our surprise the quality has gone downhill. It's so frustrating!!! First of all, the service, for some strange reason, is now worse than before.Food is not what it used to be. Desserts still look good and taste good, but last time I had food poisoning after eating the "special" tiramissu. Their coffee is still good, but hey, if you are looking for a good place to eat, I would stay far away from this place. What a shame!

Fazenda is the coffee experience which I look forward to each and every afternoon!I work in the area and so have tried all the various joints...Fazenda beats them all. Taste: Antonio (owner) really knows his coffee. The roast, the blend, and the brew are perfect and the coffee is just beautiful. Each day a different blend is available, all the whilst serving great coffee. Blends are available for you to buy for home as well if it is to your liking. Price: Despite such knowledge and skill behind each cup of coffee, Fazenda is a surprisingly low priced. £2.20 for a latte compared to £3.40 at Baristas is great value (and better tasting!). Food: Not only do they do coffee, they offer delicious home-cooked (by Antonio's wife) Italian dishes for lunch, as well as an exciting array of baked goods. This is a great place to escape to at lunch.Fantastic Italian vibe. The food is delicious and freshly cooked and a plate with a little of everything is very filling.Today's included: two pastas (mushroom and tomato) a fritata, meatballs, peas and salad. Wood roasted coffee from near Roma is available to drink or to buy beans.The tiramasu is heaven on a plate. Made fresh so not available every day, which is a blessing for my belly.So, excellent food, lovely people and a nice vibe. And good value too. Ciao

siamo andati a colpo sicuro , sapevo chi c'era dietro il bancone , il maestro del caffè espresso , siamo andati solo per bere un espresso e invece abbiamo potuto anche mangiare , con meno di 10 sterline( il costo di un pacchetto di sigarette a Londra) abbiamo mangiato un piatto unico con due assaggi di primi , un secondo di carne , un contorno e insalata e poi naturalmente dopo i vari dolci anche il caffè espresso ....... ottimo otiimo eccellente ....Grazie ad Antonio il "Fiuggino" e naturalmente anche a sua moglie .....vai avanti così e fatti valere ...

Ho avuto la fortuna di entrare da Fazenda Uk purtroppo solo 1 volta in quanto la mia visita a Londra è stata molto breve. Il caffè è il migliore che io abbia mai assaggiato in terra straniera!! Il proprietario è un italiano, Antonio , da tempo ormai d'adozione Londinese. Espertissimo sulle varie tipologie di caffe e anche molto disponibile qualora si volessero consigli su cosa visitare/mangiare etcetc! Le torte fatte in casa dalla moglie sono l'altro pezzo forte! Consiglio di andare per una colazione indimenticabile!

Every day a new blend of beans, a slightly different aroma but always the best, miles aboves that taste of burnt coffee that is a trade-mark of all the coffee chains in London. They also offer a great variety of cakes and crostate, great food at lunch, and it really feels like sitting in the kitchen of an Italian family. The owners are warm and nice, always up to some chitchat if you fancy it. Finally, there is a calendar of artistic events hosted in the evening...

Reasonably priced restaurant with pre-cooked, tasty food which is however warmed up in your plate in a microwave oven. No drinks available at all.

The ambience is relaxed and chilled and the place has an amazing vibe. If you are drawn to it and you return you will find the place steadily growing on you. On first visit you will notice the art on the walls, the simple, clean decor and the friendliness of Antonio and Luca, the Italian guys who run it. You will enjoy the (wood roasted) coffee and maybe one of the cakes beautifully made by Antonio's wife. You might select some beans from the dozen or so sacks scattered about the place and get Antonio to lovingly grind them for you to take away. Art, about which Antonio is passionate, plays a central role. The displays of art work on the walls are always interesting, whether they are by local homeless artists whom Antonio is encouraging or by someone else. This is fitting, because with Gilbert and George living close by and Tracey Emin having an outet just down the road, art plays a big part in the locality.The more you visit the more you will realise that a major part of why you like it is that it is a magnet for the interesting characters who frequent the Spitalfields area. Don't be surprised if you start striking up conversations with people on neighbouring tables. Expect the unexpected, whether it is an impromptu lecture on the "Naivism" art movement by local art critic and frequent visitor Chutney, or something else.Fazenda UK is special.

I work in the Runners Need store opposite and myself and my colleagues would not go anywhere else for our coffee. Luca and Antonio are always so welcoming and the coffee is the best I've tasted. Andy

Lets face it, we all need coffee to keep us going through the dull drabness of the week. That doesn't mean it doesn't have to be enjoyable. Great coffee, honest prices and great service. What more could you want? Oh wait, they do cakes and food too. Equally great and authentically Italian. The full package. A daily pilgrimage is a must.

Wow. We stayed across the street and unfortunately did not discover this gem until halfway through our stay. The coffee is absolutely amazing. I only had espressos and Americanos so I cannot comment on the tantalizing cakes that were always present. I did not try the food either. During lunchtime they had a small buffet out that looked really good. The owners are very friendly! Definitely worth the extra walk to avoid Costa/Starbucks/Nero if you are in the area.

I regularly visit this gem of a coffee shop with colleagues for meetings, the coffee is incredible (made from regularly changing coffee beans) and the homemade cake selection is always fantastic. I have not had any of their pasta but the smells are always tempting. There is always a selection of artwork on the wall (available to purchase), some is more pleasing than others! Service is extremely friendly and the owner always remembers our order! Highly recommended.

What a fabulous little find! I can happily say that with the perfect coffee, the to die for homemade lemon and chocolate cake, the friendly owner and customers and the interesting artwork on the walls, this was the nicest coffee shop I have been to in this country, it was like stepping into a little coffee shop in Italy. I never got to ask why it's got a Portuguese name, but a good excuse (that and the cakes!) for my prompt return to this little tresoro tucked away in the shadows of the City.London being the place everyone raves about in terms of 'experiences' has for the most part been a disappointment in terms of good quality, down to earth eating establishments. Well, I think I've found the antedote-or at least my friend who took me there has!. Very cool decor, the earthly smell permeating from the coffee bags lining the shop floor, the freshness of the home made cakes, the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere created by Antonio and his staff and an authentic taste from an Italian kitchen on offer for lunch really work. The cod fish salad was yummy as was the pork fillet topped with zucchini, the bread and the olive oil. Coffee was as coffee should be as was the tiramisu. I noticed that most of the clientel were speaking in Italian so that must speak volumes! If you want a taste of a trattoria and not have to pay the earth for it in London then make your next coffee/city lunch appointment at the Fazenda.

I visited many times the Fazenda for breakfast, finding their italian espresso the best this side of London (well, of ANY side).Then, one day I came for lunch... and loved it! The wife of the owner Antonio is in the kitchen, and she really knows what she does. Ok, the choice is limited: one or two pasta courses, one or two main courses, some vegetables as sides... but they're all good!We loved the orecchiette, and the farfalle with pumpkin and bacon. And the cod with olives rocked!And at the end, a good espresso and a slice of the nutella cake could bring back a dead to life. And for a cheap price!

My partner works in the City and enjoys authentic Italian coffee and cake at Fazenda UK almost daily - and how I envy him!! Antonio, the owner, is a real coffee expert, and we've stopped buying our coffee from the supermarket as we now source it from Antonio directly. His wife makes the cakes - and seriously, they are among the best cakes you will ever have in London. As a bonus, the place is most tastefully done up and has a wonderful atmosphere. It's so good, we regularly to cycle to Fazenda on a Saturday or Sunday morning to enjoy a delicious Italian breakfast there. Complimenti!
