Amazing food. We ordered George's special, the maze, hummus, kabab, baklava etc were fresh, delicious and homemade. Very welcoming staff and very neat and clean place.

Excellent & friendly service. Portions were huge and very tasteful!

I have not visited this restaurant for over 30 years, and having been there last night I asked myself why on earth I had waited that long!!!! From the moment I walked in and the waiter asked to take my coat, the service was excellent. Nothing was a problem and too much hassle. The food was excellent and plentiful and we went for the house special which was great value for money. The manager came around and spoke to each table and gave a real feeling that our custom was appreciated. I can guarantee it won't be 30 years before my next visit!!!

WOW I went there last night for the 1st time with 5 of my friends and we all absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and so well presented and described by Oskar who has such passion and is a massive credit to the restaurant. We all said we will be back very soon. Well done all involved.

Really lovely meal - we’d done our research on previous reviews and our expectations were met! Very nice plentiful food - we had the banquet style mezze which was delicious. Also we had the most attentive service I’ve seen in a long time - not just a warm welcome and checking all was well with our food as usual but we had several conversations about our trip and some useful information was given to help us even though the staff were busy! Top tip - there aren’t many tables and everyone else had booked. We were lucky to get the last table just turning up. Thanks Oscar and your team for a lovely evening.

I am a regular here because the food is so good, but I took two friends who had not been before and they loved it too. The portions are generous and very tasty indeed. There is a friendly welcome and good service. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Well sorted, belly full of luvly grub, place is buzzing with Favershams well to do, a beer from Istanbul a glass or two of Turkish red wine, amazing!!!

Lovely food, staff and atmosphere as always. We've been going here for over 30 years and it's always fantastic. The original owner, George, was a lovely guy but is sadly no longer with us. It's now run by his son who is carrying on with the same level of service. Highly recommended

The original and best Kebab shop in Faversham. Always tasty and staff are good as well. When I ordered, they were very busy and told that there would be a 30-minute wait. I said I would wait outside in my car that was up the road and come back later. When my order was ready, they came and found me to let me know. Yes, the other Kebab shops in Faversham are ok. But Faversham Kebab House is by a long distance the best

Usually I eat in the restaurant, but recentlyt I ordered a meal from the takeaway side and was not disappointed. I had a chicken skewer with salad and pitta bread "to go". Tasty, tender and plenty of food. I shall definitely order takeaway from here again.

We have been going to the restaurant on and off for years. The food has always been great and value for money. We went with friends last night. The food and presentation has been refined a little bit - it was delish! We had the set menu. The meze was fantastic, the chicken kebab, with salad and bulgar wheat was really tasty., and the baklava was not overly sweet, so good for me. As always, we would thoroughly recommend! We had walked past many times and had always thought of visiting. We were not disappointed, the portions were generous and so tasty. The service was great and it’s a family business passed down since the 1980s having the same chef for 22 years. Impressive ☺️ thoroughly enjoyed it, will definitely visit again!

"George's" is so much more than just a kebab house. The food is soooo good and because of the standard of the meals and the friendly welcome, we go there regularly.

Went to the hops festival and came across this restaurant. A quick check of previous reviews and thought ‘why not!’ Staff were very polite and attentive. There was a set meal for the hop festival, on a couple of occasions the meal was referred to as a meze, which was a little confusing, because for a meze you are there for the afternoon for course after course. This was a 3 course meal, pleasant taster starter, followed by a choice of two meats with fries. A small but tasty dessert. All served very quickly for under £16 and we were ready for the crowds outside again. Not the best meal we have had but could see what they trying to do to maximise the opportunities the hop festival brings. Fair play and the customer service was excellent.

Just returned from a family birthday meal. Wow! The food is exceptional, the staff can't do enough for you, very reasonably priced. I'd recommend the 'George's Special' 4 courses with coffee. Very authentic Turkish cuisine.

On Thursday evening we took over the restaurant for our staff summer meal (24 of us in total), the food as always fantastic and the service tip top. This really is a Faversham gem, its small, personal, unique and great value for money!

After being around for about 40 years, this place is a Faversham icon. I could see why on my first visit. The authentic Turkish food was fantastic, service was friendly and efficient, and the delightful owner made us very welcome. Named after the restaurant's founder, George's set menu is a great way to sample Turkish fare for about £24. You get a big serving of hot and cold meze followed by a mixed grill of succulent charred but moist meat, all rounded off with baklava and ice cream and Turkish coffee. I partcularly enjoyed the lamb liver in the hot meze. I cannot wait to return.

Wonderful place serving authentic Turkish food. The owner and his staff made us very welcome. I recommend George's set menu for about £24 to sample a great range of hot and cold meze, grilled meat, baklava and coffee.

A Turkish delight! This beautiful little restaurant brought back dreams of more graceful times gone by. It's immaculate linen tablecloths and napkins. Stylish cutlery, expertly laid. Pale blue velvet furniture just gave a classic feel to the whole experience. Picture perfect service from such attentive waiters. Such a joy to be addressed as Madam and not 'guys'. To have your coat taken and then be helped to put it back on, rather than having to leave it hanging on the back of a chair dragging on the ground. No wonder this place is so popular with it's generous menu of dips, salads, sausages, liver, pastries, grilled meats and very good Turkish wine. Gentlemen, I salute you and can't wait to come back!

Wow! This definitely deserves the accolade for the best restaurant in Faversham. Oz and the team create a magical experience and the sucuk is the most mouthwatering sausage I’ve ever had! Everything is magical and for golf fans, you almost feel like you’re inside a magical golf ball due to the clever Artex effects and lighting! Simply wonderful in everyway!! Book your night immediately!!

is the first time I found the service quite rude and abrupt , the lady taking my order asked for my order asked normal questions like how many chips all together ect then would cut me off when I was answering when trying to explain a plain order I needed for someone who’s autistic I offered to give her my list I had wrote out which was snatched from my hand. The general basic service of saying hello with a smile was not there she seemed quite agitated and possibly flustered with the amount of large ordered they had so I’m not sure if she realised how she came across

We read the reviews before we went , we agree wholeheartedly with everything that has been said . If you are new to Turkish cuisine l recommend the set menu you get some of everything , the food and hosts are amazing can't praise it enough

Fantastic restaurant. Really friendly service, excellent food (and huge portions), surprisingly tasty Turkish wine, and very reasonably priced. Staff always happy to help, and every time we visit we have a wonderful meal. It's a bit scruffy round the edges but you really can't beat it. Gets very busy at weekends. Edit: has had a bit of a makeover recently and looking lovely. Food is still fantastic. One of our favourites!

Not a very good kebab for £15. The meat was OK but pretty tasteless I asked for salad and only got onion and a few stands of lettuce. Chilli sauce was just tomatoes crushed. Garlic sauce was just mayo really. Shame.

Have been eating here since moving to faversham 7 years ago. Food in the restaurant and take away is always top notch. Great service also. Can only imagine the one star reviews here are written by people affiliated with other restaurants in direct competition. All sides are made on site and delicious, hummus is most definitely not store brought. Try it for yourselves, you won't regret it .

Eating in at the Faversham Mediterranean Restaurant (attached to the takeaway) is amazing. Order the George's special for a four course journey washed down with Turkish wine and completed with Turkish Strong coffee.

Went here for the first time to try it. We went with our 10 month old baby. The staff welcomed us and got us a clean high chair. Made to feel so welcome. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were really baby friendly talking and playing with him. The food was amazing. I can't recommend this restaurant enough such a nice place to eat and relax. Worst Kebab I have ever eaten! What has happened to Faversham Kebab? Burnt vegetables, flavourless chicken, dreadful salad (if you could call it that), cold pitta. I would avoid this place.

Dry chewy chicken ignored the telephone whilst I was in there stale bread and I noticed raw meet right next to cooked sorry but un acceptable and dangerous , I would staeer well clear. Just bad I honestly do know how hard it is to try to keep things fresh 1out of 10 for me
