Faustino's Wine & Tapas Bar in Chichester

The service here was amazing and so friendly!! The atmosphere too is great, you really do feel like you’re walking down the alley into some kind of Mediterranean building. The raegatton music also was great atmosphere. The food is definitely tapas and slightly pinchos. They have really good deals for food too and reasonable prices. For not being in Spain, it was quite reasonable! :)

Went for some food as fancied some Spanish food as a belated anniversary thing and was pleasantly surprised Good: friendly service, keen pricing for this kind of food, mostly ok size servings (not overly generous). Average service time. Food generally tasty, hot and well made. Less good: A bit cold (temp) and atmosphere more bar than restaurant? (If that was what you were expecting) Stuffed mushrooms only contained one mushroom! Overall a good choice.

Wow what a find in Midhurst High Street. I took my Auntie & Mum Saturday evening, staff are very friendly and engaging, drinks excellent value, food well what can I say it was blimming amazing ...the medium paella was delicious (make sure you havnt eaten all day ) there was so much and full of seafood it was all very tasty! Cocktails on offer from 5pm to 8pm excellent value . I will be recommending Faustinos to family and friends. THANKYOU!

One of the few places to eat in Midhurst, and have something different to the usual pub servings. We ate here on a Tuesday night and sadly were the only customers. However we were warmly welcomed and ordered tapas dishes, until we were full. I'd recommend the Sizzling Hot Prawns, for a bit of a fun chilli kick!

Popped in for some tapas. My squid was a tad tough but otherwise OK.

Great Spanish restaurant all but hidden in the high street. Well worth a visit with some excellent dishes and great service. Highly recommended and to boot they are one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday night.

Lovely tapas food, recommend the prawn and chorizo skewers. Cocktails could have been stronger and less sugary.

We had tapas here along with, several!, Aperol Spritz. The food was lovely, no dish was disappointing and the service was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend. We would come back for sure, if we are in the area again.

Went here for our anniversary meal. The tapas was delicious, service was excellent - fast and personable, lovely atmosphere. 2 for 1 cocktails was a nice bonus. We will be back!

From the cheery call to book the table to the cheerio at the end of a great evening, Faustino's not only offer great food both are excellent hosts. The tapas was as good as any I have had with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed but busy with no overbearing music. Well done to the team for running such an excellent restaurant.

Went for a meal Sunday evening. Had the chicken and chorizo paella for two. Very generous portion and really tasty. Staff very friendly too. Covid safety made us feel very at ease. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

a fabulous little tapas bar in the heart of Midhurst, there was ample choice on the menu and reasonably priced. Eating at lunchtime meant it was quiet. We sat in the courtyard which is a little sun trap. The food and service were superb and we will return again as well worth a visit, next time in the evening with friends

A cute little tapas restaurant in town. The staff were really sweet. We had the paella and some tapas. The food was really tasty and portions were great. Even the medium Paella was good for two of us. The prices are reasonable. There is some outdoor seating and it looked like it's good for groups. They also have some good wine. All in all I would definitely recommend it.

Visited for my birthday, had such a lovely meal. Loved the tapas and the paella. Chocolate fondue was a hit too. Wasnt sure after seeing some of the other reviews what to expect but for me and my family we were so impressed!

The staff were willing and friendly but that's the best thing I can say. The food was warmed up in a microwave, we could hear the pings! It was not at all authentic, not spicy, not tasty and frankly just hard work. Do not come here for food. Or Sherry. They haven't got any.

We had lovely meal here. Really enjoy food and service. Specially from nice slovakian lady Magda, she made us feel very welcome. Also we enjoyed nice life music. We will return

All was going well to begin with and on arrival service was great but at the end of the meal service was poor and a bunch of drunk young men came in and helped themselves behind the bar whilst changing and turning the music up! Safe to say i wasn't the only one in the restaurant put off by this and they were allowed to carry on!

Unfortunately the food here is pretty poor, hopefully it improves as clearly the restaurant has been in midhurst for a long time. The tapas was not good at all.

I really love this place - it's very cosy, and does a good selection of dishes (perhaps more vegetarian tapas options would be nice though?). Good drinks selection including my favourite beer, Estrella.Gets busier later in the evenings and can be quite quiet early evening. Very friendly staff too!

Had the unfortunate experiencing of dinning here on Saturday night.We ordered the large chicken/chorizo paella to share, which was bland to say the least. How can Spanish cooking contain almost no flavour? This dish also contained very little chicken or chorizo. I paid £20 for a plate of bland rice - outrageous. Finally the choice of music in the restaurant. Now call me strange, but one might expect traditional Spanish music to accompany the ‘traditional’ Spanish food. So you can imagine my surprise when Baribe Girl by Aqua started playing - along with other suitably terrible songs. I know music is subjective - but Barbie Girl and tapas isn’t a thing.The toilets were also fairly disgusting. Leaking roof / burst pipe or something. I didn’t investigate too much, I just wanted to leave.The ONLY good thing was an Argentinian larger on draft. Nice to see unique and unusual lagers - it makes a change

Never been here for food. Only been here as a bar in the evening. Unfortunately, only a very small bar with a covered alleyway outside meaning you're either in an alleyway with all the smokers or packed inside. Despite this I always have fun here. Although the drinks aren't exactly cheap they are cheaper than alternatives such as the seven fish or the angel nearby.

Visited for dinner and had 3 dishes each. The ribs and chicken wings were slightly tough and the food is quite pricey for what is is. Had the chocolate fondue which was great though! Probably a better place for desert and a drink!

Met friends here for lunch and surprisingly we were the only ones in the restaurant. This is obviously an evening venue as we later found out. Notwithstanding that we enjoyed ourselves anyway. There were plenty tapas to choose from so we had a selection and shared a large chicken and chorizo paella. We had plenty to eat, the food was served quickly and was very tasty. A good choice of wines and draught continental beers made the meal. Tucked away down an alley in the Main Street and worth seeking out.

There were many concerns with this restaurant.Food: the food was neither fresh nor authentic. Every food item seemed to come out of plastic containers and many were heated in the microwave. I was reassured that all food was "prepared on the same day" when challenged. The chicken milanese was wafer thin and so burnt and dry that it was not possible to cut through. The grilled king prawns looked grey and lifeless, and I am concerned how long they had been in the freezer. However, despite reheating, the flavour of the ribs and meatballs were okay. Staffing: there was one member of staff in the entire restaurant. She was the bartender, waitress and chef combined. I couldn't tell because she was wearing a hoodie. Hygiene during cooking was very questionable, both from the lack of cooking attire and the fact that cooked food and food prep were handled without washing hands in between.Ambience: the place was completely empty, and there was loud pop music in the background. The kitchen was open in plain site, and each counter top was completely bare as if no fresh food was expected to be cooked.I wouldn't recommend this restaurant in its current state.

The food is absolutely fantastic every time we come here. The staff are always happy to fit you in on a busy evening. Very good vibe for a evening out for a nice meal and drinks, and for the more adventurous on a Friday and Saturday evening the tables get back away around 10pm and the dancing begins!

Faoutino's is a Tapas bar serving both classic tapas dishes alongside some that stretch the principle such as a half rack of ribs. This works!Service and atmosphere are extremely casual so great for a relaxed outing with friends or family, not somewhere I would go for anything more.Food was tasty and portions were a good size.I will happily eat here again.

A nice little place to eat a light lunch made up of quite small tapas dishes. Good variety of dishes with prawns, chorizo, Spanish omelette, etc of about a fiver each. Not particularly warm when we went but we all enjoyed the food.

Went here earlier than usual one evening and was a really dead atmosphere, they had the tapas food which looked okay, the staff were really laid back and it just felt a bit awkward, when the atmosphere picked up a bit it was a good place to socialize and be around people, a lot of people hang out in the alleyway. Average priced drinks.

Driven pass this restaurant several times and finally had time to stop and check out.

We visit Faustino's fairly often and it has always been great. Food and drinks are good and service is friendly and attentive. Menu has about 20-odd dishes incl vegetarian, meat and fish and gluten-free options. There is live music monthly and the tables are normally cleared on a Friday/Saturday about 10pm to make space for a slighlty younger crowd who come for the bar and music which is always lively and good fun. Welcoming staff and regulars plus good mix of visitors throughout the year. In summer the outside courtyard offers extra space. Located via a door way and an old alleyway without 'outside' toilets the venue has charm. Look out for the 'Faustino's' barrel on North Street (High St)

We had a fantastic 18th birthday celebration at Faustino's, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was tasty and plentiful.

Only people in on a Monday lunchtime. so very quiet. Competent , adequate .. not exciting.. but acceptable

There were three adults and my seven year old grandson. We had eight dishes between us which was perfect. We enjoyed all dishes thought he chicken kebabs could have more flavour and they were a bit dry. But the stuffed capsicum and prawn dishes were all very good. Wine list was OK but strange no Faustino wine ? Staff very friendly and efficient. Will go again and can recommend it with children as long as they behave in a restaurant where other people are eating. prices are reasonable.

It was good, went for lunch and the only ones, the tapas where different from the real thing that you get in Spain, but it was still nice.

Nice place staff friendly a must stop before heading back to somerset every time we visit midhurst.

Was really looking forward to some 'authentic' Spanish tapas, but the experience was a huge disappointment, the place is dirty and there is nothing authentic about the food! Don't waste your money!

Después de bajar el interruptor Row Knockhundred Midhurst Navidad luces "en" nos encontramos con un enorme plato de paella al ser cocinados en la calle y un tío extremadamente amable que estaba actuando como el frente de la casa (o frente a la calle). Al final tuve los calamares (que estaba recién preparado y encantador) y una sidra caliente que llena un punzón. Muy buena comida y personal amable - sin duda probar el restaurante ahora.

We like to go out for a meal every Sunday night, somewhere different each time. This was by far the best restaurant we have been to in the area so far. Very tasty and varied dishes served very efficiently by a very pleasant waitress, nothing was too much trouble. The music was good made me feel that I was abroad, definitely will be going back soon, I have found the perfect place to eat.

Don't be put off by the entrance, as the restaurant is very pleasant. No Spanish pictures on the wall though, which would give it a more Spanish atmosphere. There was a reasonable choice of tapas and we chose 5 between the two of us. They were all very good and the waitress was very pleasant. I was surprised that the waitress and chef weren't Spanish. I liked the Spanish music.

Authentic tapas bar with pretty extensive choice of plates to choose from. We stumbled upon it by chance. Cosy and friendly. Took teenagers who were as impressed as us. Suits all ages. Relaxed atmosphere and live music (although not on the day we visited, sadly). Would definitely like to go again and take family and friends on a live music night. Quality of food was good, so no complaints as in other negative reviews. The staff were pleasant and I'm sure would've been obliging had there been any problems!

Consistently good food from this lovely hidden bar. After eating the place turns into a very lively bar with an almost club like atmosphere on some evenings.

Myself and my husband had found ourselves childless for the night and were at a loss for where to go for food. We decided on a tapas menu so searched trip advisor for such places. We came across Faustinos whose reviews were pretty good so we chose to make the 45 minute drive to its location. Like others have said it wasn't easy to find but once found we were not disappointed! The little walk through to the restaurant felt very authentic. We were created by a lovely smiling female waitress who happily explained the process of the food ordering etc. She explained a few of the menu choices that we weren't sure of.Whilst we had the short wait for the food we had bread and olives. The food was quick and could be seen being freshly prepared in the kitchen. The food did not disappoint!! It was tasty and well presented. We were soon very full and felt like we had had a fantastic meal. I recall a review that commented on the outside toilets, yes they were outside but only in the walkway just outside, they were beautifully decorated and very clean and did not have the feel of any outside toilet once you were in there.We will defiantly be returning here, this is a little hidden gem that is well worth the drive. Could not find a thing to criticise!!

On a quiet midweek evening when all the restaurants in Midhurst seemed to be deserted, we ventured up an unremarkable alleyway and found this little gem. Better still, we were able to eat in a delightful courtyard surrounded by ancient brick walls. It was the ideal tranquil setting for a warm summer's evening.The food was very much what would expect on a tapas menu. We ordered 8 dishes for 2 of us which was more than ample. Everything was spot on - great flavours and excellent presentation. Even with a decent bottle of Carmenere the bill came to not much more than £25 a head. We were well looked after by a friendly waitress and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

The menu was limited but food we had was very good and reasonably priced. Dogs allowed in the courtyard.

We went there because of good review on Tripadvisor. Well it was such a dissapointment!! We ordered croquette (burnt and they only gave us 2 croqutte as they had run out) Paella (wasn't cooked in pan but a big pot somewhere else. It had horrible wet sludge like texture with not much ingredients) roasted vegetable (looked like scraped from roasting pan somewhere) olives (generous portion but it was so salty) Only good thing was service. The lady who served us was attentive.

What a super find! Tucked away down a brick alleyway is this amazing tapas bar, situated in what looks like medieval stores rooms. Do not be fooled - the food is great and reasonably priced but what makes it a great place is the service. We went twice - on the first night I ordered real ale from the local Langham brewery which they had but not my favourite. The owner said 'I'll get that in' - I thought 'oh yeah' but when we went back two days later there it was - IMPRESSED :-)Well worth seeking this place out for informal Spanish food in the heart of the South Downs

In Midhurst for a few days we visited twice although tempted more. Everything was excellent - food, drink, prices, service and general ambience. We had a Paella made to our taste request and tapas which were of way above average quality. So top marks all round. However our first roadside impressions of Faustino's 2A North Street were not good. Nevertheless we ventured up a passageway and found an unmarked white door which looked more like a fire exit than restaurant entrance. Undeterred but hesitantly we went in and were very pleasantly surprised! Are they trying to put off potential new customers?

I live in Spain and had a holiday visiting family. I was missing Spanish food so much I decided to try Faustinos, so glad I did. A lovely welcome on arrival, great choices of mostly Spanish Tapas which arrived very quickly and made me feel like I was home. I thought the potato and pepper tortilla was really good. Really worth a visit.

Faustino's brings a touch of authentic Spain to Midhurst's North Street, tucked away behind shops either side you will be forgiven for not finding it straight away. A narrow alleyway leads to the main entrance brings you to a Spanish décor room which sets the tone for an outing at Fautino’s where you are guaranteed a very warm welcome, fantastic authentic Spanish Taps, regional wines and beers and I am told good quality entertainment in the form of live music on Wednesdays which always brings in a large crowd.The rustic Spanish décor simply adds authenticity to the experience, several tables are already set that invite you to sample the delights. In a quirky attempt to bring that rustic feel home the Tapas menu is written on table chalk boards split into two price structures, choose as many dishes are like all of which are brought out at the same time. For those few who have never tried Tapas simply put could be cold or hot dishes, small in size and the idea is to snack or combine for a satisfying delicious meal; and Faustino’s does not disappoint. The only slight issue we had was figuring out what some of the items on the menu actually contain as it is sometimes not clear from the Spanish given names. Pete, Faustino’s owner, was more than happy to explain the dishes and recommend some of his favourites – it was an added delight to speak to staff who clearly are as passionate about customer service as they are about the food.

Where do I start with the wonderful Faustinos? I had the great pleasure of attending the restaurant and bar during the new year celebrations of 2016 (apologies for the month late review) but what a night it was!! Starting with the food, it was simply exquisite. The wide variety of tapas was sensational and I enjoyed every dish! Bravo to the chef. The staff were also wonderful. They provided customers with a great personal touch and couldn't do enough to make your visit more comfortable. A special mention has to be given to the owner. He is truly one of the most generous gentleman I've had the pleasure of meeting. The success of the bar is clearly identified by the efforts he provides to both his customers and staff.If you're looking for superb food within an elegant, contemporary setting, Faustino's is for you. I can't recommend the place enough.I personally can't wait to return during our next visit down south from Leicester. See you then!

Nice setting, cosy. The tapas was mixed. Some dishes were very nice (meatballs, stuffed mushrooms) others a bit bland (potato with chorizo, milanesa chicken). Quite reasonable worth checking out and making your own mind.

This bar was the greatest experience of my life, all the staff were fantastic! The owner was kissing the customers which is brilliant and I will definitely be returning. #peng oh the food was banging too.

Utterly uninspiring food, with no flavour at all. The paella tasted like boiled rice with seafood added afterward. Service was good.
