Farmhouse in Harrogate

I always enjoy visiting Farmhouse for a brunch. The food is delicious and staff are attentive and friendly. We had the American Breakfast and Farmhouse benedict which I would recommend both!

Food was bland and overcooked. I complained about the buttermilk chicken burger that was tough and dry, and was given a partial refund for that - but not a full one, as I hadn't raised the issue early enough. A buttermilk burger should be succulent and tasty - this was flat, dry and tasted burnt. Not good for around £17. Both our dishes had way too much sour cream, iceberg and tasteless salsa and resembled a plate of mush. Very disappointed.

Simply the best lunch in Harrogate, also great atmosphere and lovely people serving. Make sure you give it a go!!!

Very family friendly 5star Myself, partner and baby came here, we were happy with the hospitality and they offered our baby crayons and and drawing paper. We ordered chicken katsu, Korean chicken and children's burger, was amazing! Only thing I could say dissapointed was that there was salt on the children's chips. Drinks were great. Will definitely be back!

Farmhouse if you haven’t been you really must! The team are amazing, super friendly and the food is fantastic consistently brilliant 🤩 not to be missed!

Very busy and they looked Understaffed. Food arrived cold as a result and some staff members looked very new and had to asked twice for items required. But overall ok I would go back.

Excellent potion size,delicious food and great value for money. We over ordered and it was all on point (including the adjustments for the picky eaters palate). Cocktails and non alcoholic drinks all on point. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will absolutely visit on repeat whenever the opportunity arises.

Food was good, healthy portion and good price. Visited on a Saturday so was very busy and noisy but enough distance between tables to not overhear conversation. Did feel a little rushed to order and then given bill before I even asked

Such good brunch food and extensive menu, there were so many things I wanted I try. Very accommodating and dog friendly. As a table we would recommend American breakfast (delicious and amazing value), farmhouse Benedict, Açai bowl, superfood salad, and the zucchini fritters were amazing.

Everything was good except the poached eggs. I think they must put vinegar in their water when poaching eggs. The eggs tasted of vinegar and the toast on which they were placed tasted very strongly of vinegar (I assume they take the egg straight from the water and on to the toast and the excess vinegar water then seeps into the toast). Hubby had the steak and poached egg flatbread and said his flatbread tasted of vinegar too. Everything else was nice. Service was friendly.

Really sorry to say but we didn’t have a great experience today. It was SO busy and therefore really loud. I do appreciate there’s not much you can do about this but i couldn’t hear what my husband was saying. It’s food hall vibes not farmhouse vibes but I will say it’s very clean. My main complaint is I did put “small dog” on my booking and we were on a cramped table next to someone who clearly didn’t like dogs which made me feel uncomfortable. We didn’t have much room which wouldn’t normally matter but we had our dog with us and pre booked him onto our booking. I ordered the steak and eggs and the steak was terrible. Completely inedible. Just gristle and I couldn’t cut it as the knife was blunt. I left majority of my meal. I had a Bloody Mary which was equally as bad and served in a half pint glass you get down Wetherspoons. If you’re serving cocktails you do need to add a little extra - even a slice of lemon. I did have ice in it so that’s something I suppose. My husband said his rice bowl was ok. I’m disappointed as most reviews are fab so was excited to try. We are not fussy people but couldn’t not give this feedback as it was pretty terrible.

It was my First time visiting Farmhouse The Food was excellent. We opted for the traditional full English. The staff loved my friends Blue hair too. Which made her very happy I will definitely visit again. Highly recommended for a visit.

What a fabulous venue for gorgeous food at lunch! Service was excellent, both friendly and warm. Every member of staff was welcoming and helped to meet our needs. The food is fabulous! Large portions of delicious and fresh food. The Korean cauliflower wings are the best I have had. Try the zucchini fries! Wow. The tofu tacos are huge and are extremely tasty. The greens are spicy and gorgeous and the eggs Benedict went down very well. Great value for money, as the portions are huge, and everything is so reasonably priced. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I love this place. Not going to write a massive review as it isn’t needed. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. I come in at least once a week and I usually bring someone with me who then falls in love with it too. Winston, the border collie, loves it too as he always gets a big welcome and a nice sausage in a dog bowl served with our food so he can join in too. Farmhouse, whatever you’re doing, keep doing it - because it’s working. I won’t go anywhere else in Harrogate for breakfast ♥️

Consistent great service and food! We've been going for several years, most Sunday's for breakfast, and ocassionaly Friday's for brunch...burgers or fish tacos!!! Need to book Saturday for Sunday early breakfast.

I had the American and it was extremely good. My wife had the pancakes and really enjoyed them.

Very popular place, but I was disappointed. Coffee and smoothie was great, but the breakfast I had let it down. Food took a while to arrive. The egg yolks were very pale and insipid. Toast wasn't buttered and it took ages to get someone's attention to ask for it. Service could have been better, no check-back after food arrived and could not get anyone's attention to get more coffee. We had to go up to ask for the bill.

Lovely food, staff clearly felt pressured because it was busy, which meant it wasn't very relaxing for us. When we asked to be moved to one of the empty tables because the sun was shining directly in our eyes the response was less than professional. It is also very noisy in this restaurant which is a shame because the food was delicious. The gluten free options were extensive which made a pleasant change.

As someone who runs a restaurant, I know how challenging it can be to tick all the boxes at the highest level all of the time. Service was exceptional and food lovely with very generous portions. I’d highly recommend it.

We've eaten here so many times in the last few months... because the food is fabulous. Eggs benedict plus the trimmings are superb. I think I've been through most of the menu now and even the vegetarian options are delicious... and that's something coming from an avid carnivore... Brilliant!

Superb! And what lovely staff! I visited on a busy Friday and there were not many tables left free as I left. Staff were exemplary - warm, welcoming, polite, super-efficient and obliging. Excellent service all round. Dog friendly. Open 7 days a week. OK prices. Lots of good choices for vegetarians and vegans on an interesting and enticing menu. I had the GF veggie nachos with cheese, Mexican beans, roquito peppers, smashed avocado and sour cream. Wow, what a plateful! Big, deep bowl and very filling. My fork had a badly bent tine, which gave a strange mouthfeel at every bite, but it was changed immediately I mentioned it, by a smiling, beaming waitress. Wasn't an issue at all. Great decor. Prompt service. Only had 2 ladies loos, one of which was out of action, but the loos are spacious, with interesting, funky lights. Also, the loo seat was a higher one, so good for folk with old bones and aching, stiff joints. Don't see many loos like that in places. Deffo revisiting as I need to try the rest of the menu! Very highly recommended for menu and tasty food and a great staff team. Bravo!

Disappointed brunch after previous good experiences. Coffee was like warm, blueberries on the pancakes were not fresh & we were rushed off our table. As soon as I put my cutlery down we were asked if we wanted the bill!!! I asked for another coffee, the waitress was reluctant & said she needed to check how long we had at the table!! After she checked she asked what I would like. Good customer service staff would have known we had only been there an hour & even if we were coming to the end of our reservation time it could have been dealt with a lot better. Very disappointed.

Vegans please keep this place open! A really impressive range for vegans and such a surprise. They were understaffed with a delivery shortage when we ate there, which meant a couple of our dishes weren’t perfect, however every staff member we interacted with couldn’t have been more pleasant, helpful, funny and kind despite what looked/sounded like a pretty chaotic day there. They let us know 2 staff had called in sick that day and it was their first day open back from Christmas. Everyone was lovely, the menu was extensive, loooads of choice and the place was packed! Clearly a very popular place. I chose the vegan steak baguette out of curiosity. It was tasty but vegans you should try something else that’s more of a guarantee. My sister had the fish tacos they looked incredible!

The Farmhouse Full English was really filling in the morning, although the sourdough toast was a little too tough. There’s a nice range of cocktails and aperitifs available from opening and the coffee was good. Seeing the open kitchen is a nice touch and the atmosphere is busy but with the background music pleasant. It is dog friendly, and there were a large number of dogs present on the Sunday morning we visited, but none posed any issues. For a hearty start to the day I’d certainly return and look forward to trying some of their lunch items too.

This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Cauliflower wings were the best I have ever had. Right amount of spice, great sized serving and extremely delicious. Tofu tacos were also delicious - just not a fan of silken tofu. However, the dish was very tasty. Friend had the American breakfast, which looked like a nice variety of tasty items. The service was really warm and chatty, with the waitress giving great recommendations. We will definitely be back soon. I need to try the wonderful looking vegan breakfast.

Wanted a place for Brunch, it was busy in Harrogate so booked online which was very easy. Arrived a bit early but was shown to our table straight away. Served quickly although drinks were a bit delayed but not a problem. Breakfast/Brunch menu was ok, just enough choice. I had eggs Benedict which was delicious. The full breakfast was good too. The only point I would make was the cutlery. The knives are blunt so wouldn’t even cut through my crumpet and we had to more or less tear everything. It made eating the food slow! Would recommend though as food is good. Booking advisable

Popped in for a late breakfast, our first visit. Good service from the staff right from the start, friendly and prompt. I enjoyed the Mexican style breakfast, lots of flavours and it looked great. I'll definitely go again and try the lunchtime menu

Very busy corner eatery, a little noisy and terribly warm inside. Five kitchen staff working their socks off to keep up with the orders. 25minute wait for my brunch, but the taste of this shakshuka eggs made it all worthwhile. A little expensive for what it is.

Superb full English breakfast. Best in town I would argue. The rest of the menu looks ace as well. The right balance between well curated and choice paralysis. Wife had the American breakfast which was also great. Might try the Mexican breakfast next time or the farmhouse egg Benedict. Or shakshula. Food joy! Service with a smile. Comfortable bright buzzy place. Only gripe is how the beer is about £1 over the comfort threshold for me.. Would deffo recommend and will very likely go back.

Farmhouse had our order for nearly an hour and a half before saying it had been ‘lost’ and no they wouldn’t make the order. The one instance where Deliveroo was helpful and the restaurant wasn’t.

It's tricky to rate overall. it's great . Their success has caused a delay in the service of their freshly cooked food. Which is excellent. It's busy.

Great spot with great food. Lots of variety and the nibbles are fantastic. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and crispy pork belly to start. The hot cider warmed us up and was delicious as well.

Poor speed of service. Dry as a bone steak. Although tables are available they try to bounce you off saying there is 45 min wait and then say 20 min wait to other person behind you! Needs better management.

A relatively disappointing experience unfortunately. The food itself was a good 3.5. We had the American pancakes and a full English. Down to a three star because of a misleading menu. The full English allegedly comes with sourdough bread toasted but what we had was clearly some kind of regular sliced white. Perhaps it came from a packet that states it ‘sourdough’ but this was not what one generally expects when sourdough is advertised….to give an idea of what it looked like, we actually thought it was a piece of fried bread initially when the plate arrived! And then I’m afraid down to 2 star because they charged for extra maple syrup. You can’t give three pancakes but only enough maple syrup for 1 and then charge for additional maple syrup. That’s just greedy and the priority for this establishment is clearly profits over customer service or satisfaction. The staff were however very friendly. However the greed and misleading menu means we wouldn’t go back. Also it’s very over priced!

Service was attentive and friendly. I went for the full English breakfast with extra black pudding and a coffee. The coffee was lovely and well made. The breakfast was large but was served Luke warm. Most of the ingredients were good quality although the sausage had many lumps of gristle in. Overall good and would definitely try it again.
