Lovely chippy great great staff and tasty chips

Now I don't want to downplay this chippy because it's good. It's great, in fact. But what I really love, and maybe this isn't as important to some people, is that this place is clean. It's clean like the operating theatre and I really love that. If there was a hygiene rating higher than 5, these guys would be getting it. Be sure to get a giant cod while you're in there looking at how clean it is.

What a Good Friday treat. COD was MASSIVE. My daughter questioned was it a Shark 🤣🤣….. everything was piping hot. Irish Curry on the side is my favourite. If your local or passing by drop in for some amazing food. 5 🌟

We bought 2 Large Lightly Battered Fish & 1 Medium Chips Tonight (4/10/2022) from Farington Chippy - Unwraping the Fish produced an unpleasant Chemical smell. An (each piece) taste confirmed this. THE FISH WAS INEDIBLE - within 10 mins. I contacted the shop to report, 1st to a young lady, who passed 'to my Boss' where the above was repeated to the 'Lady Owner'. She then made the comment "Our Fish is delivered every day but we don't know where it comes from". An irelevant & unhelpfull comment - I simply informed "please be aware, should either myself or my wife develop food related problems, the retained Fish sample will be made available to Preston Food Investigation Team. Further, I offered suggestion she checked remaining Fish stocks 'just in case' ! Very dissapointing & not as reviews? This is honest, truthfull report re this evenings purchase from the above. Thank You.

Finally a chippy that does pies! (And not microwaved). A little on the pricer side, at £4.60 for pie and chips. Bit still an all round good experience

Huge portions, lovely chips but not the cheapest.

Not been here for over a year but the fish & chips always used to be nice. This last time the chips looked & tasted like frozen chunky chips, quite tasteless. Fish was OK, gravy and curry sauce nice but the mushy peas were hard and grainy. Serving lady was very friendly.

Best chippy we have had in a long while. We only live round the corner and have always gone elsewhere because it's what we are used too...not anymore. The fish was excellent and the chips are cooked perfectly. The gravy was very good too and curry sauce - all of it. Very happy and nice to see it busy on a Thursday, which is only a good sign!! Staff were lovely too and working hard too!

Best chippy in leyland in my opinion. The batter is crunchy and as they're always busy, the chips are never soggy!! The place is looking fantastic after all the work they've done themselves on it! And the staff are friendly and super quick with your order! Can't recommend them enough!

Best chips in Preston and staff are so friendly when working in that area again I will definitely be going there it's a must

Ordered fish and chips. The first time in my life I couldn't eat chips from a chippy . Must've saved them from the night before and reheated. Hollow inside and had the consistency of cardboard.

Tried Farington Chippy tonight for the first time. Well worth the drive out, I have found my new favourite chippy. Polite friendly staff and the fish was delicious with a nice crispy batter and the chips were delicious too.

I live on the other side of the M6, on a nice day a good walk, today coming down in stair rods, went by car We ordered a 4 large fish and Chips with real Mushy Peas and as always the meals was superb, staff cheerful and pleasant and Chippy spotless spotless. Chip portion size excellent. There are Chippy's and then there are the rest, they are one of the select few who cook all their fresh and to order, not from a reheated tray. Keep up your excellent standards Please.

One of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The place usually serves locals and they keep coming back due to the quality of the food. We were recommended by some locals to try their food and it was deffinetly worth it. Incredible fair pricing considering how good the food is. Deffinetly coming back for seconds :)

Proper tasty fish n chips and well friendly staff

This is one of the best chippies I've ever been to. This group of young Romanians have got it down to a fine art. The batter on the fish is nice and light, and the chips are cooked to perfection. The shop is spotlessly clean, and the young people who run it are efficient and friendly. I'd definitely go back again and I'd recommend them without hesitation

This is the best chip shop in lancashire. A great range of delicious food and their steak puddings are out if this world.

Good chippy. Nothing too greasy or oily tasting. Good variety of foods too. Except for southern visitors it's different - 'they do fish - not cod or place or haddock. JUST FISH. But it's good. Well worth a visit.

The staff are always very pleasant and their uniforms and th shop are spotless. The food is average price, cooked fresh to order and delish. It’s not the closest chippy to us, we drive past 2 others to get to this one, it’s that good 😀

I have tried most fish and chip shops in the Leyland Bamber Lostock Hall area and this is by far the best fish , thick fresh and white good chips too

We discovered the Farington Chippy on a Monday night when every other fish and chip establishment in the Leyland area was closed. We were visiting from Vancouver Canada and wanted to enjoy that most English of culinary experiences ! The shop is impeccably clean, the servers very efficient and friendly and most importantly the fish and chips are magnificent. Non greasy chips, tender and tasty fish.... fried to perfection. A poster on the wall suggests that fish and chips are the healthiest fast food option on the English high street, with less fat content than Pizza, kebabs and the other usual suspects and these fish and chips make that a believable statement. Wonderful. We can't recommend this establishment highly enough. Try the mushy peas too. Check them out !

Best chippy in Leyland! Adrian is a perfectionist, you can see it in his concentration whilst he works - this is noticed mate, and it matters! The fish is always cooked to perfection. What also strikes you as soon as you set foot in is how clean it is - you could be in an operating theatre ! He's also very friendly and chatty. Top chippy.

Be prepared to wait a while until it comes and you won't be disappointed. A variety of foods are available as are options on portion size but the large fish is exceptional. Pleasant servers ensuring your food is as good as it gets from these types of eateries.

Brilliant Chippy crispy fluffy chips and well cooked fish all served with a smile deffo the best chippy in the area.

The haddock is always fresh, the batter well done and crisp. Traditional chippy but better quality than most.

Walking back home from the Remembrance day service in Leyland and decided I was hungry and popped in. The Place was spotless as was the staff who were all in whites and very pleasant. I selected small fish and Chips, nothing wrong with the portion size, the fish was delicious and I ate the meal on the way home. On my walks back home in future it will become a pit stop for refuelling:))
