Fanny Trollope's in Glasgow City

My partner and I had a spectacular meal at Fanny trollopes, the starter of scallops was perhaps the best scallops we have ever had- the flavours were so well balanced. The steak was superb also and cooked to perfection. We felt that the atmosphere was lovely and our waiter Harry really made the experience. He went above and beyond for us and he was just a really lovely person. This was actually our last meal out in the country before we move to Thailand for a year and he made it so special! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Glasgow and 100% worth the travel if you are outwith the city!

It was great to go back to Fanny Trollope's and a big thank you to all the team for looking after us so well and, as ever, really fantastic food. Affogato with a malt whisky was a new dessert for me and one I will be having again. To add to all that, tips from the team for our trip the next day to Dunoon via Gourock. Thanks again!

We were running late so I called ahead to let the restaurant know, I spoke to Harry on the phone and he could not have been nicer. He told me not to stress and that our table would be there for whenever we got there. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel so welcome. Harry was so accommodating and friendly (also gave us a good laugh!). Our food was absolutely delicious!! I literally cannot fault a single thing we ate. Everything was so fresh and tasty! I can’t wait to go back and try more of what’s in the menu! We had a fantastic experience here and will definitely visit again!

A tiny,quirky restaurant with the most delicious food! A must if you are in Glasgow. The scallops on jalapeno and sweetcorn puree were the sweetest,softest I've ever had. Everything from the service, wine to the food is 100%

Have been coming here for a few years now, when we are in Glasgow and continue to be delighted with the service and the food. This time we came two nights in a row, as the menu always has plenty of delicious Scottish fare. The service from Harry and the waitress (sorry didn't find out her name) was perfect, friendly and attentive. The food was yet again perfect and beautifully cooked. Thank you to Gary, Scott and the kitchen team for the beautifully cooked and tasty food. Please never stop doing what you do, you have the perfect recipe. We will see you again in May and July.

OMG! I was looking for a restaurant near the OVO Hydro and the reviews on TripAdvisor were good...they should be amazing! This was THE best Crispy Pork Belly I have ever had. It came with apple slices, jalapeño puree and black pudding. I can't take 'heat' and I'm not a fan of black pudding...the puree had just the right balance and that black pudding was phenomenal, outstanding dish! My main was the venison loin and again I wasn't disappointed, cooked to perfection I practically devoured it. I'm not a fan of desserts but after 2 outstanding courses felt it would be rude not to even look at the menu. One white chocolate and dark chocolate mousse later...I was a very happy woman. Went with family for a birthday dinner, eight of us on a very busy Saturday at the start of December, the whole experience was faultless. The staff super warm and friendly without being intrusive, service was brilliant and speedy but we never felt rushed. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented and delicious. Perhaps a little overstretched on service

This place is a must visit if you are anywhere near it as the food is next level. We were staying nearby for an event at the OVO and found this place with a quick Google search. The reviews and the rating were good(the name stood out too!) so we gave it a go and am so glad we did as I was blown away by what I had to eat. We went in at 1pm on a Saturday and found a nice chilled vibe, the chap who served us was very helpful and friendly and there were really good specials on offer which weren’t on the main menu and which we both ended up having- amazing! Finished off the meal with an Affogato which was just right. Would 100% recommend and would love to go back.

We were recommended Fanny Trollopes by a friend and they did not disappoint. Great atmosphere mostly provided by the staff working his way through the tables entertaining, helping take pictures for friends and providing excellent recommendations for food, pairing wine and the cocktails specials will take some beating.
