Had really good service from Kevin he was really welcoming and friendly from the beginning. And the store smelled AMAZING would definitely recommend.

Always love dropping by and getting lovely pastries from there when I go to Cardiff.

Recently visited the shop the sausage buns / breads are half the sizes than it used to be! Price still the same!! I ended up walking out as didn’t feel it’s worth it. I am sure any asians would recognise how small this bakery make it compared to how it normally should be.

Taste isn’t the best, I bought two matcha desserts and didn’t have matcha taste at all. The service was nice though.

Very delicious bakery. The best in my opinion as it’s not too sweet or too savoury. The bread is always super soft and delicious, melts in your mouth. I believe price is reasonable too. They also make cakes to order (very beautiful cakes!)

popped in today to try a mango crepe roll which was so lovely! will defo be trying other things from this shop, and the people who work there was so lovely! the man who served me was really sweet i recommend this shop!

The strawberry cake we got is mouldy, and I saw him get me the cake at the bad one intendedly as there is good ones on the top layer. Also there is no date of produced on the packages of the cake. And when I asked for a refund, they started to ignore my messages.

The strawberry cake my friend got has moulds.. which is INSANE.. and the cream is sour. No clue how long they left the cake there.. and my friend noticed that the guy was particular about which slice he gave her.. extremely questionable.

Lovely local business, myself and my girlfriend visited Cardiff for a few days last week and we ended up going in here to get a Chicken floss bun and a wife cake for my girlfriend. The lovely lady who served us had a nice chat with us and explained what a wife cake was and why it was called this. Lovely food, lovely service we will definitely be returning when we next visit in October!

Amazing food and drinks! I’m visiting a friend who lives in Cathays and picked up some items for lunch. We got the coconut bun and the sausage and spring onion pastry. They were delicious. We also got two of the bubble teas which were also great. Lovely staff too

For years there was nothing like this in Cardiff. Have to fight the urge to go in ever day, its that good! The pork buns and little pork pastries are absolutely top drawer

Absolutely love the baked goods here! Everything is delicious and fairly priced. I go here frequently and will continue to do so. Super close to bute park to so you can buy something and then have yourself a little picnic. Staff are all very friendly.

I came here today and loved it so much I had to review! The staff were so genuinely friendly, and the range of pastries fantastic. Everything I got there was delicious, and the boba very reasonably priced! Highly recommend

The cakes I bought in this bakery wasn't nice at all and unfresh. Unfriendly staff especially the bloke. Never go back.

I ordered via Uber eats as it’s a pain to get to from my house, the rider was pretty fast and nothing came damaged. I bought a crepe cake slice, strawberry mochi & a strawberry bubble tea. The crepe cake was absolutely delicious so I saved half for the next day and the mochi was okay, but I’ve had better, my dad really enjoyed it however so I guess it just wasn’t my taste! The bubble tea was a far too sweet for me, but I think as it was delivery I couldn’t choose a sweetness level which sucked because I’m not a lover of sweet teas, it tasted more like the strawberry nesquick milkshake powder so I probably won’t get it again, but I’d love to try some more from here in the near future!

I have been here, looking to have a good treat, but, What an absolute HORROR. The food I collected was OUT OF DATE. A PUNGENT SMELL with a RANCID TASTE. For the people who want to try something new DO NOT TRY THIS PLACE, UNLESS YOU WANT DIGESTION ISSUES. I DO NOT RECOMMENDS FANG'S ORIENTAL BAKERY.

Health and safety: POOR - due mouldy inside of bakery goods. Customer service: decietful - based on date of goods produced it is NOT FRESHLY MADE ON THE DAY. Quality - POOR - no filling or very stingy on filling for OVER PRICED goods. Please improve based on this experience. Hi all, I've heard great reviews from this bakery but the purple taro pastry was unedible due to the sour taste and they said they've made this on the same day! Not freshly made at all. The filling in the pork buns and pork pastry was 80% sauce: for the price I paid, it did not reflect the quality at all and over priced. Customer service was unsatisfactory when I contacted the owner about my experience. Absolutely disappointed. Wouldn't recommend this bakery.

AMAZING! This bakery is my absolute favourite. The staff are lovely and the pastries and cakes are so yummy! My personal favourite are their mochi!

Tastes pretty good however for the price, it's a tad pricey. Meat floss bun was delicious, taro and salted egg redbean buns were good too (though small for the price). Cream bun was a dissapointment, not that much cream and the cream itself tasted sour!!

One of the best bakeries I’ve ever tried in my life and it just happens to be Chinese flavours. It’s super fresh and just melts in your mouth. I’ve tried their whole menu and now coming back for seconds. Really friendly and warm staff too. Well done guys!

The smell brought me and the exquisite food made me stay! Sausage bun is delicious, the mango and fresh cream mochi is by far the best dessert and I may spend a small fortune everytime I go in! Also the staff are unbelievably polite and friendly! #LifeLongCustomer

We were a bit hesitant to go in because we had no idea what to expect or order. What a find! The freshest, most delicate pastries (most not too sweet). A step up from what we are used to in Greggs or another typical bakery. A great touch was that when we chose a certain pastry, only then did they pipe fresh cream inside a thus making it even more fresh! We highly recommend for your next cheat day :)

I just bought the Mango and Cream Mochi and its so good, best I've ever had, I'm never buying packaged ones again. The price of these are great for what you get too. They are big and tasty. I'll try not to eat all 4 at once but it's gonna be hard. The staff here are always lovely too. Also crepe cakes are the amazing!! You must visit.

Best birthday cake 🍰 I’ve ever had in Cardiff. Soft sponge cake with light-sweet whipped cream, decorated by fresh fruits and almond flakes! What a delightful treat in the pandemic.

Delicious treats and lovely staff would highly recommend 😊🙌 I once went in and they didn’t have the fresh cream mango crepe cake I like and they made it there and then for me to come back and collect.

Found this bakery while next door to the Korean & Japanese shop. Great selection of savoury items and desserts. I really wanted to try the pineapple bun but didn't have any so I tried the roasted pork bun and strawberry cake which were both great. I would come back and shop here again.

I don’t usually write reviews of places, but this place was so good it deserved one. Fresh cream bun, custard bun and pork bun were the highlights for us. I highly recommend you give it a try!

Incredible matcha and strawberry cake! Like eating a cloud :) Super responsive and couldn't be easier to have sorted this out late for our anniversary. Made it even more special! Also the message on the box was brilliant.... Will order again for sure.

Been to many ( not all ) bubble tea stands and shops in Cardiff and fangs bakery is the only one that was as good ( if not better) than ones we tried in Chinatown. Absolutely delicious

I really love this bakery! I went earlier today and ordered strawberry mochi and passion fruit boba. The service is great and the food and drinks are delicious😍 will be coming here again. The server was also really kind, and very respectful!

Really fresh and great quality. There is another bakery opened up and its rubbish compared to this one..every time i have bought from the other bakery its been stale and they use way too much plastic too. Fangs is a family run business and deserves to do well

Lusciously made cakes and bread. The sponge is so light and wonderful. The durian and mango cakes are my favourite, but all things are great. The mooncakes are so intricately decorated as well. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely cafe and the pastries are so delicious! The owners are really nice too. There aren't many Chinese bakeries in Cardiff so this is definitely a gem. I do wish their pastries were abit bigger as they are so tasty.

Massive fan of Fang’s. All pastries, breads and cakes made in house, alongside a whole range of other treats such as paninis, coffees and bubble teas. The staff here are lovely and always make you feel welcome, not to mention the time and effort they put into their products. Super authentic, made fresh every day. I make a special effort to stop here every time I’m in the area, as the quality of food and charm of this place always makes my day. Try the red bean bun, char siu pork buns or for a truly authentic bite, the salted egg pastries are a winner 🤙
