We are an American family who ordered Thanksgiving catering for 16 people through Fait Maison for the holiday. Everything from organizing the catering to the food itself was fabulous! Thank you Miriam and Fait Maison for helping us to create such a special evening to share with our British friends and family.

Fait Maison on the Goldhawk rd has been our special little place to go when we have friends coming over and need a little treat. Their cakes are delicious and the staff are wonderful. I sent my husband over today to get some Portuguese tarts and he nearly came back with a selection of salads. It is definitely the place to visit for a relaxing breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend.

It is a great place for a snack with family and/or kids and, for a British change, piping hot coffee. But make sure no selfish relative pinches the fruit off your artistically fashioned cream cakes and that your Romanian, Bulgarian or Arabic is at least to ordering-at-counter standard.

A quick visit from time to time before an appointment in the road opposite. A great flower display - fresh food artistically laid out, salads of all varieties, patisserie and hot meals also available. Very small and very friendly and fresh and attractive interior. It's in an unlikely spot, on a small roundabout, and therefore likely to be missed - if so, it's a real pity.

Having read some poor reviews I was a little apprehensive as to what it would be like. However a few days before the owner phoned me to confirm the booking. On arrival they were expecting us and the table was ready. It was a little quiet at first. Tea was brought promptly and the lady was very polite and explained the contents of the sandwiches and then the cakes and scones. The sandwiches were plentiful and fresh. We did query only 3 scones between 2- was it a mistake? She did bring another warm scone which was great. We thought the marmalade a bit strange to go with scones but there was black currant jam too. Strawberry jam is the usual but hey ho! Cakes were delicious on the whole but the fairy cakes were a little dry. When a further pot of tea was brought to the table it was clear that water had just been added to the old single tea bag and the resulting pale drink was horrible. A senior member of staff came to ask if all was well and when shown the poor cup of tea took it all away and brought lovely fresh strong tea and new cup and saucer with milk jug. All in all quite a pleasant tea time apart from the delivery van and drivers who were constantly in and out the front door with large packages. The fare provided was not what was on the groupon advert. It described mini quiches and brioche buns filled with salmon etc. We saw none of that.

I work a 5 min walk from Fait Maison and really take advantage of it - the food is delicious! It's a small little cafe with only a few tables but I usually get it taken away in a box. It is great for vegans, vegetarians and people with gluten intolerance however they do serve meat options too like fishcakes, salmon, chicken wraps etc. I'm vegan so I usually go for a mix of 4/5 salads, I would recommend the lentils, chickpeas, edamame rice and (when they have it) the avocado tomato salad is amazing. It can be a little on the pricey side but it is worth it - a small takeaway box is about £5.95 but if you eat the exact same thing inside it costs about £8.

I have booked an afternoon tea online using a groupon, but the waitress told me she wasn't aware of the booking. After I have shown her the confirmation e-mail she told me that I should speak with the manager, who is not in, so I should go back next day. They didn't try to do anything to better the situation (eg offering a coffee, etc.). Wouldn't recommend.

The cooked food I had their was very nice and the portion size was generous. I had the full breakfast and all the components were very tasty, however I would have liked if there was another component to it, either beans or bacon. The service was very friendly and fast, with a nice building to sit in. I had a very nice coffee and it was nice that with the set breakfast menu of provided coffee, one could chose to have a proper coffee, not just a filter coffee that normally occurs with a breakfast menu. I believe this is a very nice place to go.

This is a small restaurant/café that is good for the breakfast and lunch, there is plenty of choice and the food is always freshly prepared, they also have a place in Ravenscourt Park. I go there for the occasional breakfast or brunch but the prices are quite high so it is a bit of a luxury. I would still recommend it for it's quality food, for a leisurely Sunday morning and they do provide free newspapers, always a plus I feel.

I cannot profess to be an expert of this place, however, I do know tat the little sandwich I had was very good. The price was good but the blackboard of prices became slightly confusing with the large and small, eat in eat out options for pricin. Nonetheless service was competent and I got what I paid for. The salads looked great but I did not partake of them so cannot really comment. But yah good, clean cafe with decent coffee and very civilized.

We popped in for lunch as it is near the Cromwell hospital and seemed a good option. A good mix of salads and main courses despite the small space, but at the upper end of the pricing scale. Lunch for two (without alcohol) a tad over £30. Consider this as a good quality fast semi-self-service restuarant rather than as a quick pop-in!

I happened to be facing the kitchen as I drank my coffee. The cook dropped a pastry on the floor, picked it up and put it on the baking tray along with all the others to go in the oven.On the positive side, this was clear evidence that the pastries are freshly made on the premises. And also shows that they aren't hiding anything by having an open kitchen.but this one thing put me off and I've not been back.

We had been visiting a clinic nearby regularly and had never had time for lunch.Today we made time. The food is fresh and there was lots of choice. Lots of salads. On the minus side, we thought the dressings on the salads were too similar so the flavours blended together on the plate...nothing stood out. And I struggled to choose a salad I would really enjoy rather than having to convince myself it was good and different....something plain and dressed would have been nice so I just had 2 - cucumber and green bean. The main items looked fantastic...salmon fishcakes, beef, chicken pie, moussaka, lasagne, chicken milanese etc.and it was difficult to choose one.We would go back.
