Evuna in Manchester

Arrived at 6.15 and the restaurant soon filled up. Ordered our tapas of prawns, fillet steak, potatoes with garlic and meatballs, every dish was fantastic, tasty and plenty of each one. We felt we needed some bread so ordered garlic bread, a lovely jug of sangria went well with our tapas, it was just like being in Spain. Attentive and friendly staff. Looking forward for our next visit.

Not great, business was not busy around 3/4 tables in at 4pm. Still the tapas came up as if it had been sat around waiting for agers, tomatoes on toast were dried and didn’t look appealing. Staff were somewhat friendly but missing the general manners every other restaurant has for example how is your food, good bye etc very simple phrases. I had the rose which I wouldn’t recommend but the white was good (unsure of the name). Honestly wouldn’t recommend but it did have a nice atmosphere to sit and chill, it’s just a shame the food wasn’t great. And additionally it was extremely plain for food covered in sauce, the bravas were poorly done. Potatoes were cold ish and just not great

We ate here on a Saturday night - 2 couples. The location is really easy to walk to from most central hotels. The restaurant was busy but we had pre-booked. The food was excellent- we had Tapas - 3 dishes each plus a couple of potato dishes for the table. The sangria was also very good. Great atmosphere and all the staff were very helpful.

Visited for dinner and were not disappointed. Pleasant staff and atmosphere, good choice on the menu for either tapas or a la carte dining.

Always go for Tapas before our film. Food and service always good.

Overhyped - there is better Spanish tapas in Manchester. Have been twice now and been thoroughly underwhelmed by the food. The service is…fine, the prices are decent, but you get what you pay for here. The decor and environment is lovely - although this isn’t true when you go downstairs to the toilets, which leave a lot to be desired and clearly haven’t seen much recently. In all - I personally would avoid, I have not been particularly impressed on the times I’ve visited.

The food was below average. There was two items unavailable on the menu which was disappointing, we were also charged for three chorizo dishes when we only ordered two. The prawns were especially disappointing, they were in a watery, dirty coloured looking water. The wine I ordered was nice and the Patatas bravas but that was it. I was really excited to try Evuna but I won’t be returning.

I would recommend Evuna for meat eaters, my friends loved their food but there wasn’t much choice for vegetarian dishes and my food was a bit under seasoned

Booked online, arrived and was greeted with a lovely welcome and taken straight to our table. The restaurant was almost full and those already eating looked happy and the food smelled amazing. Our drink order was taken straight away and we were given ample time to choose from the menu. The food came quickly, was so fresh and really tasty. The staff were very attentive. All in all a perfect evening. Will be back. Thank you.

Looked everywhere in Deansgate for something authentic and not a chain, was either here or one of the Italian restaurants near by but after scanning both menus we decided tapas wins. We ordered 5 selections of tapas and a salami selection and churros for dessert. We had a mid ranged bottle of red which was lovely priced at £35. Our total bill came to £109 which I believed was excellent, great quality food, really pleasant and professional staff and a lovely setting. We turned up with no reservation but I would recommend too book in advance as the restaurant was rammed. 9/10 review, we had a lovely evening. Only thing I’d say, is the toilets could be updated, but other than that it’s a great place to eat and we will be returning.

Amazing service...we had 3 lots of tapas so that we could try a little bit of everything. The dishes were so good full of flavour and so filling.Very warm welcome from the staff. Sangria was perfect. I would definitely recommend. Thanks!

Every time we come to Manchester for our Christmas markets break we book a table here, last night we had the chicken and chorizo paella for two and two 1 litre jugs of sangria, it reminds me of our regular holiday breaks to Benalmàdena on the Costa del sol the atmosphere is amazing, the staff and management are lovely people, the food is amazing I recommend this restaurant 100 percent. Hasta la vista y muchas gracias para el hermoso comida

Out of 7 dishes ordered I quite enjoyed 5 of them, 2 not so much but I'd say that's a good balance. Overall a perfect mix of good food, decent number of choices, really attentive and helpful staff - all around a great experience at a nice Spanish tapas restaurant.

If you are looking for authentic Spanish food and drink, this is the place to go. We had a couple for starters each, however the real reason why we went was to sample the paella and we wasn't disappointed. Fabulous food and a couple of drinks for a reason nice evening meal out. The atmosphere and staff was brilliant for a relaxing evening out. If you like Spanish food I would suggest you go and visit because you won't be disappointed.

Ordered chicken paella for 4 of us at £17.95 per head. It was a massive fail. Very bland, tasted of tomatoes. Can't justify the price at all. Staff were not attentive at all, quite a wait from being seated till someone came to take a our drinks order, ditto the food order. There was a party about 15 women, celebrating something, very quietly, in the corner. Appeared to be more staff than diners. Only had one drink each, more expensive than the food. Would not recommend for non wealthy folks. The WORST part was paying, a waiter was standing near the exit arm outstretched, brandishing the card machine at us, no bill, just a rude demand for money, with a 10 quid service charge... We had the service charge removed and vowed to never go back ever.

This is a place I would 100% visit again. Beautifully presented food, that tastes amazing, accomodating staff. A very chilled out, pleasent atmosphere. We came as part of a larger group and the staff worked with us with preorders and brought the dishes out with per person which made it super easy, let us pay for drinks at the bar to make the splitting of the bill much easier. Thanks to all that made our night special on Saturday, will certainly see you again in the future.

Great all round - 4 of us had 9 of the 12 tapas in the offer, all were good, but chorizo, haddock/chick pea and calamares were particular highlights for us. good value glass of house red too. we'll be back

The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. We had shared small plates, some of the food felt more authentic than others. I really enjoyed the manchego with fruit jelly.

Having visited both the Altrincham / Northern Quarter Evuna's and having different experiences in both, I was looking forward to visiting Evuna Deansgate as the Northern Quarter restaurant has no early time slots . How was it - fantastic, the wine discussion was a little flaky, but that could have been my mispronunciation. However, when we both got the wine sorted it was excellent - just like the food. We had a mixed tapas main meal and each dish was excellent, with the stand out dish being the stuffed Courgettes topped with Goats cheese. Its unusual for me to have a desert, but my wife and I shared the Spanish Cheese cake and again it hit the spot. So in summary - great service, good wine, excellent food and a fine dining room ambiance So on this visit, Deansgate wins the prize for the best Evuna local to me.

Booked a table for 5.30 arrived at 5.25 table not ready told to go for a walk and return in 15 minutes. Did this returned after 15mins table still not ready told to stand at end of bar until ready. After 5 minutes of getting in the bar staffs way we were seated. The wine menu is substantial but do I need to know how much I'm being ripped off with the restaurant mark up compared to the shop price?? Just put restaurant price on your menu if I like it I can go next-door and buy some more to take home. The food is OK but again overpriced for portion sizes typical City prices I suppose, you expect to get your pants pulled down for mediocre food and drink. Wouldn't recommend

Inviting menu of 3 tapas for £19.95 add a glass of house wine for £4.50, the white was £4.50, but given a choice of red asked for the Rioja and charged over £9 for a small glass. Service added by them at 10% even though I was mislead by wine price. Will avoid in future.

This place serves beautiful, authentic tapas if you are a tapas lover - Absolutely recommend! The staff are super friendly and one member of staff was very honest about her recommendations which I appreciated, as I always ask for the ‘best dishes’. Can be very busy so book in advance!

Dropped in late afternoon, without a booking. We had a great experience, especially as the food was absolutely delicious and drinks reasonable. Would highly recommend 👍

Absolute disgrace…. 915 booking obviously the chef I use the word loosely had his mind on other things the food was slapped onto a plate it was absolutely disgusting the service was very very poor no eye contact I tried to engage with the server and was told I am from Serbia I am not from Spain don’t know what you’re talking about…. absolute disgrace it shouldn’t even be trading this place is trading under a falsehood -*

I was visiting Manchester and staying in Deansgate, so had a look for a restaurant close by and with good reviews. This seemed perfect but turned out to be anything but. The staff were friendly, it was nice enough atmosphere but where they are let down is by the food. I have seen bigger portions in a kids' meals in most other restaurants. I could probably accept it, if it were to a high standard, but this was not worth it at all. You'd need to spend around £300-£400 to feel satisfied here. After the meal arrived, I was in disbelief at the portion size, I actually decided to cut my meal short and find somewhere else to eat. I really do not understand how this has such high reviews. If the portion is small quality has to be high and they did not even come close. Needless to say I wouldn't visit again nor recommend to anyone.

Really enjoyed my experience at Evuna as every tapas dish tasted so good! The menu was filled with plenty of options, I would definitely recommend the meatballs and the sweet potato fritas. I also liked that the food came out all together and that the tables were big enough to have all the dishes on without having to move things around all the time. The restaurant can get very busy, so would recommend booking beforehand

Good food and excellent staff. Would have given it 5 stars but it was very noisy with a party and crowded. Needs soft furnishings/wall baffles to absorb some of noise.

The menu and board outside state tapas lunch 15.95 and glass of wine 4.50 staff reluctant to point out the obvious and you the get charged 6.50 per glass of wine. When you order an extra glass of wine (175) it appears on the bill...

The paella was very delicious. We ordered a mix of seafood and chicken. We were a group of 4, ordered a portion for three was still too much for us as we also few tapas and main as well.

The food is absolutely divine! I have never had the haddock and chick pea stew before and it was gorgeous! High five to the chefs! Supremely good food. Great staff too, very relaxed and accommodating. Always a winner!

A regular haunt for me when in Manchester. There are 3x tapas restaurants in Deansgate, I've never been to the other two as this has everything right. Staff, food, wine, atmosphere. There is nothing NOT to like about Avuna. I can't wait to go back here

Food is good but not enough on the plate for the price.

Really nice authentic tapas bar. They have a wide variety of dishes and beverages. The food was really nice and well presented. Their staff was decent, but we pre-purchase a bottle of wine for the table and it wasn’t there on arrival. We raised the issue and this took a while to resolve with their staff not being super helpful.

After trying Evuna in NQ the week before, I decided to treat my partner to try the Evuna at deansgate. Unfortunately I found the food to be a little bit disappointing in comparison. I'm not sure if it's because we got the lunch option but it was a bit lacking. The meatballs weren't very warm and the pan Catalan didn't seem as fresh and rich, it was weirdly creamy. However, the flavours of the food were still good and the service was fab. I think it just didn't quite compare to the NQ location.

Food ok but staff soooo miserable and not welcoming at all so not a good atmosphere it felt awkward. I would not return because of this doesn't cost much for a smile!

My friend and where visiting Manchester regarding a Concert. We came across the Evuna Spanish Restaurant in Deansgate.. We both had Sea Bass cooked in Rock Salt. It was superb. The service was excellent, the view watching people rush by on this very hot day...

After returning from Spain, this restaurant is quite the disappointment. The tortilla de patatas was hard and tasteless. The Sangria tasted more like wine with added syrup. The price for a Paella was double the normal (here, £40 for two persons) but the quality was good. The lady who took the order could not adapt, when asking for a shandy (beer with lemonade; found in any spanish bar) I was told it was not in the menu, despite having both on offer. The service was fast. In sum, not great but passable.

For me, Evuna Deansgate and Evuna NQ are still the best Spanish restaurants in Manchester city centre. The homemade cheesecake is especially lovely at the Deansgate restaurant. Food is consistently delicious in both and the atmosphere is great.

Booked a table here for 6 on Saturday for a special occasion and I'm so glad I did! One of my friends has a peanut allergy and when we made the staff aware they were incredibly helpful and gave us suggestions based off of these dietary requirements. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was lovely- genuinely couldn't fault it at all. Although the meals may not be the cheapest, the portion sizes make it excellent value for money! The tapas are really filling and the paella can easily be shared (though im not sure you'd want to!) Definitely will be back, we were all thoroughly impressed!!!

Visited with friends on a Saturday evening. Bit hit and miss. Some dishes were great - prawns , chorizo. Others a bit meh - albondigas , tortilla, chewy cold octopus. And they had no bread… weird. Don’t think I’d bother again - El Rincon much...

We came here after being let down by another restaurant and it was a blessing in disguise! The food, wine and service were all excellent. I wish I’d got some pictures but it was so good it was gone before I had chance. Highly recommend! We’ll be back ☺️

Evuna is a Spanish restaurant in Deansgate of Manchester. We ordered their tapas like Tortilla, meatball, deep fried squid, creamy mushroom and main course seafood paella. The service is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. A good dining experience for me.

Had a really good time here after a yoga class. Very efficient on food service, all the tapas come out together. Then it’s the seafood paella. We like the homemade chili sauce for deep fried squid the most. Wish we can buy it in a jar in future.

Need to book Friday nights. We turned up about 7, was fully booked but we got 2 seats at the bar!! We only ordered 5 dishes so the small bar area was perfect. The oxtail and rice tapas was delicious! Fully recommend, would go there again.

Visited on Valentine’s Day and was served by the lovely Sylvia! She did everything in her power to make sure we enjoyed our meal! Very kind, helpful and attentive, a credit to the restaurant . Food was lovely as always, wines list amazing with sangria to die for. Always guaranteed good food, great ambiance and lovely staff. My go to treat-meal out for a reason!
