Good coffee and sweets but expensive and a little slow at getting the order prepared

Lovely staff, especially the gentleman that works here. He's always smiling, polite and always makes an effort with the customers. Comfy chairs too.

Lovely coffee shop and wonderful, kind and thoughtful staff. Particularly Soha. I left my bag and they very kindly found and kept for me to collect the next day. Thank you for being so wonderful.

I can say without any hesitation Esquires served me the best coffee of my life. The food was delicious and the courteous service was exceptional. I enjoyed it so much I ordered another coffee. A black americano. It is, in my opinion, the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. The only problem is I live in the Northeast so have to wait before I can visit again. I think the owner is called Syd. Well thank you Syd, I dream about your coffee. The head of crema on my Americano was like the head on a Guinness. I’ve seen nothing like it. Ill be back for sure, this year.

Great venue for an intimate show. Much prefer this smaller venue to the main arena.

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional service Sid provided during my recent visit to Esquires Coffee shop it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the establishment, I was greeted with warm smiles.

Really poor quality food 2 eggs (clearly the cheapest you can possibly get) and cheap as chips white bread for 6.50. order coffee sit at the table and then be told to come and get your coffee instead of the server bringing it. 3.50 for is pretty much self service

We decided to forgo the chain coffee houses and go to an independent. It was busy and they took my order promptly, however, the staff were more interested in having a personal chat than filling orders. Eventually the girl asked me to take a seat and that she would bring the coffee over. The coffee was weak and not hot enough. The tables needed a good clean and the dog-eared menus on the tables were rather off putting. I was also surprised that they allowed dogs inside the premises .

Such amazing and thoughtful staff. We always enjoy coming her with the kids. It’s a shame it is t bigger as occasionally getting space for 4 is tough. Lovely coffe!

I've been into this place about four times and the staff here are some of the rudest I've ever encountered, especially in such a friendly community as Twickenham. The woman on the till today didn't say hello or even acknowledge me. The male staff member, possibly the manager (?) has taken it a step further in the past with condescending, snide remarks for no apparent reason. I don't know who's responsible for staffing here but honestly you're letting an otherwise lovely community down. And the coffee isn't even good, so there's no reason to bother going at all. There are other, higher quality cafés around Twickenham. Never spending money here again, even for the sake of convenience.

Our local coffee shop, have come here weekly for two years and always a pleasant greeting from the owner and nice coffee. Sweet and simple.

INCREDIBLE, best coffee shop in Twickenham by far!

Esquires in Twickenham quickly became my go-to spot for a caffeine fix and a tasty bite. The staff here are absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ready with a warm smile. Food is always delicious (my favourite is the mushroom melt!) and the atmosphere is one where you can relax. Also helps that they allow and welcome dogs so I always pop in on my weekend walk!

I have visited several times as i live locally. The coffee is great and there is a good selection of baked goods and food. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful apart from the man who I think is the manager. Whenever I've been there he is quite grumpy and unfriendly. He seems to want to get rid of you so he can sit outside to have a cigarette and a coffee. With so many coffee shops in Twickenham I avoid going in if I can see it is him serving

I had a catch up with an old friend at the cafe few days ago. The lady who served us managed to convenience my friend to try the green reviver, which he reluctantly accepted even though he hate kale. He tried and enjoyed the smoothie! Kudos to her! However I would have loved for the cafe to have more outdoor space, but due to the location of the cafe I understand why there are limited outside seat. The cafe is lovely and the staff are great. Location is central and walking distance to everything in Twickenham. Unfortunately I'm not able to comment about the delicious food they had, but will come back again for those. Can't give a full 5 star as I can't comment on the food.

Nice venue, had oat milk latte and a bite to eat. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Great visit today! Yaz was so friendly and made great recommendations. My husband was thrilled with the raspberry coconut bar and Victoria sponge cake! (Yes, he ate them both!😋) The coffee was hot and flavorful and the atmosphere was cozy. If we lived locally, we'd be here all the time! Stop in! You won't be disappointed!

My first visit here while in the area. The staff were helpful, friendly & more than happy to make my drink a specific way. Nicely presented, clean & tidy with plenty of seating. They also have a lovely selection of food. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice & convenient for a coffee + a bite to eat

One of the best gelato ice cream ever in the UK after Turkiye (where I am originally from). Again, it is delicious. Strongly recommend it.

The coffee is nice, but the pastries and cakes are incredibly overpriced. Similarly, a jacket potato is a minimum £3.5 with no toppings. The tall man behind the counter was quite rude and pretty much chucked the teaspoon to my girlfriend. Not visiting again.

The staff were very rude and need to more training dealing with customers!! I wanted a small breakfast so I asked for the kids breakfast (as it’s small!) but i was told I wasn’t a child so couldn’t have it. She proceeded to argue with me that it was cheap because it was for children, not the fact it was a small meal. I gave up arguing and ordered sided to make up a kids breakfast instead. CRAZY!! Nice food eventually…

The Nutella hot chocolate is amazing

As several other reviews comment the staff here are off-hand bordering on rude. The first time I went I thought it perhaps a one-off so gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned. I think the service and attitude was even worse the second time. The place was quiet on both occasions whist nearby alternatives were busy - I think I know why !

I was never asked to leave a place before. Apparently there is a maximum stay of hour and a half. My partner and I were there yesterday, we had two meals and two rounds of coffee each. Before I even had a chance to finish my second coffee we were asked to leave our table (it was a single table for two people) because other people need to sit. The attitude towards the quantity of customers not the customer itself shocked me. Never coming to this place again. Not that Twickenham lacks good cafes anyways. Harris & Hoole, Soul, Press room (just to name a few) where costumers are treated with respect.

Wonderful venue, great coffee, hot chocolate and cakes, with excellent service as usual.

Coffee was ok, but the staff were offhand and unhelpful generally. I asked for some hot water and was given a small glass container and was not warned that it was boiling hot. I had to ask them to put it in a cup which I could carry to the table without burning myself.. The visit was topped off by one of the staff telling us that if we didn’t order another coffee we would have to leave because they needed the tables. I won’t be returning.

Food is good! The owner is very nice and friendly, and the place is very cozy too!!

Visit regularly for good reasons. Think it’s franchised but made most welcome & always remembered by regular staff - unusual these days. Coffees are great & food menu extensive - all fresh, made to order & nicely presented. Good to support an independent

Great place with a lovely atmosphere

Visited here for Sunday brunch and ordered a full English, vegan breakfast and beans on toast. Everyone was more than happy and service was great too.

Coffee is quite disappointong / real average, i'm so disappointed because i was looking forward to try it when reading the cafe review. Bought coffee and cake and asked for the wifi password, was told right away 'you can only stay here for 1.5 hours, we're busy'. Hm, ok fair enough. Great point on accommodating gluten free & vegan. Still, i won't come back.

staff were blunt and didn't bring the coffee to our table even when we asked politely as we wanted to get a start on our work. furthermore the coffee was a little cold and we were only allowed to stay in the shop for an hour until being asked to buy another drink.

- Staff weren't friendly, they brought other peoples coffee to them but when we asked politely as we wanted to start our studying they spoke in a rude manner and refused - Didn't like the coffee - too much foam and mug was too big - *** If you're going here to study they only allow you to stay for 1hr 30 mins otherwise you need to make another purchase *** I don't recommend this cafe

My favourite and go to place for breakfast and of course organic coffee. Best staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Poor customer service, the lady who served us at the counter was rude and told us we needed to give up our table after being seated for just 15 mins. I was made to feel I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer! I would advise to steer clear and choose somewhere else if you wish to be treated with dignity and respect.

I believed it to be an independent shop whilst actually it is part of a group, a brand with branches spread around London. The place is nicely designed for comfort, making you feel like you are having a cup in your living room at home. Few visits and the staff has always shown kindness and welcoming attitude. Recognition came immediately on my second visit. Coffee tastes good and it is served in nice chinaware. Food too seems freshly made and good. Recommended.

Visited with my mother who uses a wheelchair. The outlet is clean and bright with plenty of space for the wheelchair. I had a large white Americano while my mother had tea. The person taking our order suggested using one of the tables at the back of the shop as these are better for chair users and said that she would bring our order when it was ready. The tea came in a pot on a small wooden tray. It was a good large leaf tea, which was possibly too delicate for my mother (who is of age age where flavours need to be strong). However, she liked the toasted teacake she had also ordered and took half home in a bag provided by the server when she saw mother wrapping it in a serviette. Little touches made the experience more memorable. Milk is served in small glass bottles. The butter for the teacake came in a decorated expression cup and that tray for the teapot. A cartwheel converted into a ceiling light. Decorative ceiling roses used to break up a boring white wall. We enjoyed our visit and I expect that we will make another visit sometime soon. Update following a recent visit. I had a pot of tea today. It really is an outstanding tea. Delicate with a gorgeous aroma. Do try it for yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Customer service level very low. They shout in order to ask you if you want some chocolate powder on top of your cappuccino. They charge a lot of money for a very poor service. The cake slices are served wrapped on basic cling film they don’t even do the effort to remove the plastic charging £2.50 for a very small cake slice

There was a brunette girl at the checkout, she got our service late from chatting with her friend, and she wasn't friendly. I wanted to buy myself a coffee as a reward after the gym, but I came across something ridiculous,

My sister and I have enjoyed coffee and cake here a few times now. The service has always been great, the staff are friendly and so accommodating. Tasty scones and cake selection.

This is a little gem in Twickenham. The service is always brilliant and the coffee is great too! Would highly recommend. They also have plug sockets on every table so it’s so easy to get work done if you need to.

Love this coffee shop. My mum and I go there weekly and we're never disappointed with the service and the quality of coffee and cakes. We much prefer their coffee to any of the chains, and the friendly service we get keeps us coming back every time we're in Twickenham.

The staff Said I can only use the laptop for 1 hour and a half otherwise I have to buy more.

We used to go in all the time, with my daughter, sister and nephew, my daughter went in one day to buy a drink and ask to use their toilet and the response she received from the boss was outrageous, we refuse to go there now, especially as he knew who my daughter was, he shouted at her loudly which made her anxiety all the worse and came home crying, I wouldn't bother unless you want a rude response to a perfectly good question!

Excellent Coffee, staff were awesome and even went out out of the way to get the coffee to me while I was outside. 5 stars! Awesome place, you’re paying for what you’ll get - excellent value!

I ordered a Deliveroo delivery of 2 Eggs Benedict and an Eggs Royale. All were disappointing. They all needed a whole lot more hollandaise sauce and the eggs were very strange and rubbery (re-heated poached eggs?). These were poor value for money and I won't be buying again.

An absolute pleasure to visit as the staff are warm and welcoming and then getting a coffee and enjoying one of many treats on offer the food is really good and esquires offer a wide and varied options for all tastes and dietary needs.. and then theres the coffee made to order just how I like it using organic coffee ethically sourced and roasted to perfection it is by far my favourite place to get my coffee and to sit awhile watching people or surfing the Internet on free wifi.. the coffee is the best in Twickenham so if in the area pop in a give your taste buds a real treat..

Always a great atmosphere here. The staff are brilliant, always cheerful, efficient and helpful. The place is clean and bright. The drinks are great. I couldn’t ask for more out of a coffee shop - it’s a daily stop on my walk to work! I’d encourage everyone to treat themselves to a well priced coffee down there sometime soon.

Worst breakfast ever , I took one bite of the hash brown and spit it out straightaway. It was HORRIBLE and all DRY !! I should have take it home and use it as a door stopper !! The bacon bap have seen better days , bread was stale , bacon was burned …. This cafe deserves an Oscar for WORST FOOD EVER AVOID AVOID & AVOID Wish I could give it a ZERO star but it doesn’t let you !!

Why are you still open? I have been to your Twickenham branch three times. Never, ever again. First time: male operative preparing food sneezed massively onto his arm then continued with food prep. Second time: hostility from female server who objected to … actually I don’t know what her problem was Third time: 1st Dec. My young daughter wanted a hot choc so against my better judgement we went to Esquires. Male server left us standing for a few mins -he was doing nothing so we thought maybe he doesn’t take orders. Then he approached the counter and said “yeah”. Not “ hi, how can I help?” I ordered the hot chocolate. Or tried to. It was 4:35 and his response was a hostile “we close at 5”. That’s it. Nothing else. We took that to mean “I want to leave work as soon as I can and if you buy a drink I might be delayed” We got a wonderful welcome at Costa! See ya, Esquires!

I went in this coffee shop, it was a little bit busy but not that much, once it was my turn at the cashier I ordered a piece of cake and a panini, the guy promptly charged me only the cake so when I pointed it out he said he couldn't give me the panini 'cause it was too busy for them to prepare it. I toke my cake and I had a sit until a man went there and ordered the same panini and they just gave to him. So I went there again asking for a clarification about it with a manager I think, which very rudely rolled the eyes and finally gave me what I wanted saying that this will be an exception for me only because I'm pregnant, and the man that I saw few minutes ago ordered it 40 minutes ago which was a lie. I should have left straight away but I was with a friend and I didn't want to make a scene. This still an unacceptable situation, it never happened to me before that a coffee shop refused to sell food because they're too busy, you should hire more people and give to the costumes what they ask for and pay for (which was even expensive) that's it!

We went as a group of 4 adults and 3 toddlers - the staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I had the spiced beet latte which I enjoyed! Every staff member we dealt with was pleasant and friendly. Definitely will return.

Seating and coffee satisfactory if a little lacking in ambiance due to the place being deep but narrow. Victoria sponge was stale. Friendly service.

Always lovely fresh food and very welcoming staff

I've been coming here for some time now with family and friends. The vegan and Gluten Free items are excellent and the Carrot Cake is to die for. The cakes are made locally by a select producer, yet pricing is Fantastic for the superb quality. Staff are excellent and caring about both customer and their orders. Comfy chairs, comfortable prices and outstanding range of items, Even the Full Breakfast is 2nd to None......

Delightful little coffee shop, excellent coffee and food menu. I had a lovely hot American and the raspberry coconut slice this morning. Yesterday’s lunch with my dad was very good. Service is brilliant and the owner is friendly snd attentative . Just as it should be!

Apparently customers are not allowed to stay for more than two hours even when it's not busy. Won't come back.

Nice place to have a good coffe.

Not impressed at all a simple bacon roll that even the most basic cook can make it right ....the roll was crumbling apart 2 slices of bacon with more fat then meat couldn’t taste any butter and the cheapest ketchup that was vinegary tasty ....needs improvements

The person who took my order today was so rude. I worked in hospitality, and I understand the job can be challenging but being rude is unacceptable. I don't think I will visit this cafe again.
