Nice, cozy cafe with delicious food

Always my favourite place to stop for a great coffee and good food. Good choices for all dietary requirements are readily available and the team are always really friendly and attentive A great atmosphere with quirky surroundings makes for a happy place to spend time. Thank you.

First time we have used this cafe and wow we were so impressed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. We had jacket potatoes and they were cooked to perfection- in an oven!! What a find, we will definitely be back. Thank you for making our day ❤️

Really expensive and stressful lunch break. Had a tomato soup which was served with only one slice of bread. I requested another slice soon the food was served but nobody came back. Left the table, waited in the queue and was charged over £2.00 just for 2 slices of bread and they wanted me to go back and wait at the table for someone to bring the bread 🙄 like it had be cooked and I had time to wait around. By the time I went back to my table someone else was getting comfortable there and got offended when I mentioned I was already sitting there. Plus all my work freshly washed clothes smelled like food (fried egg etc) as they don't have a separate kitchen. Poor uncomfortable chairs. Too expensive for what they offer! Definitely not going back!

This coffee shop is a gem! We had a small breakfast there, and the highlight was definitely the coffee and the lovely Marina that served us. She was very attentive, friendly and took really good care of us.

This is a great place, no matter if it's a quick drink or a full blown meal. Such a great selection to choose from. If you are sitting alone or in a group it suits everyone. Staff are super friendly and are happy to help with any particular needs you may have. A very relaxed atmosphere and decor to match. It's now my go to place when in town.

Coffee was mediocre. Was charged twice also but only realised later.

Second time I've ordered food here over a few months and the quality and standard you allow to be sent out has been poor. Brown lettuce, avocado shoved on unbuttered soggy hovis bread, mixing butter packs with the food and putting it all in the microwave, unsafe and untrusting, straight in the bin. Not impressed. This isn't the chefs fault, it's management. For reference, I have lived within proximity for 5 years and I'm a huge supporter of small businesses. I stopped going in Esquires a while back as a man on the til was rude to me. Yes the general vibe and aesthetics is lovely and staff generally good. But there are possibly some underlying issues here with pay/management perhaps. Blend has just opened on Richmond Hill in the old echo, I used to chat with the brothers who run this establishment and they don't let standards slip - unsure if they do food, I think they might as its a big unit, I recommend taking your custom there. I have attached pictures. Yes I ate half the toast because I was starving but it really wasn't pleasant

A first time customer. I was attracted by the visual ambiance but left disappointed by everything else. The huge mug is, in my opinion far too big for a quality cup of well balanced and flavourful cappuccino. It tasted like a mug of hot milk with barely any coffee taste. In fairness, staff offered to replace it and returned with the same size, and an extra shot of espresso on the side. He smiled, encouraged me to let him know how the second attempt tastes and gave an impression he cared. I was thinking that all was redeemed... But then he returned to his colleagues behind the counter and easily audible over the loud music, I head him dismiss my observations to the other staff by saying "some people like it this way, some like it that way"! - followed by laughter! For THIS reason alone, you turned a first time customer into a last time customer. For your information Sir, this is not a subjective issue. It is well documented that a cappuccino is normally approximately 150 ml beverage, with 25 ml of espresso coffee and 85ml of fresh milk and foam making up the rest. At least keep the ratio if you choose to use mugs instead of cups. Summary - Coffee is way below acceptable due to the huge mugs, too much milk. Music is too loud. Yes, this one is subjective so let me qualify it: With ipods in, Mac on full volume, I was still unable to properly hear the conversational audio I needed to listen to for work. Staff: Slow service and don't ever discuss your customer feedback behind their back to amuse yourselves. Overall, Absolutely no reason to come back a second time given the number of competing other options available so close by. Lost customer, lost opportunity, lost revenue.

What a lovely place. Food, coffee and atmosphere is great. Discovered today and the bonus for us, it's dog friendly 🐶😄. Dog served immediately with water and biscuits and humans soon after. Lots of young people socialising and working (there are plug sockets available for devices). A great find we'll be back when we visit again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff were really kind and helped with a coffee spill as well as making gluten free egg mayo toasted which was super awesome and the the atmosphere was great could not recommend more !!

Just went here to read a book but ended up falling in love with the place. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing for the price. They also offer student discount which was a nice bonus. Not only do they have pastries, they also have a breakfast and lunch menu so there was a lot to choose from. The atmosphere was great whether you want to go with friends or alone there’s a spot for everyone. The chairs are comfortable and they even have a little spot for books. They’ve got coat racks and spaces for charging so you can study. Absolutely loved this cafe. Definitely coming here again.

Very busy but the service was quick and friendly. Coffee was very good and a good size. I had pork baguette which was good but the pork was a bit too finely cut and was almost a puree. The atmosphere was good and vibrant. Will go again.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in a coffee house staff are extremely helpful, and seem to have fun, definatly worth the visit, best coffee shop in Bournemouth!!

Very nice establishment with great coffee,however today I was served undercooked clear eggs,was unable to gain staffs attention as they were engrossed discussing video games.

Excellent coffee (with a beautiful design), sandwiches, tea, pastries and service! I frequented this cafe each day (sometimes twice) while I accompanied my husband here for his work. Such a delightful place to grab a delicious meal in a cost atmosphere. After trying a couple other cafes I couldn't help just come back here- it's so good and just what I was hoping for!

Kind staff, warm, fresh vibe (good for dates 😉). Large toilet for disabled and baby changing, but there's only one for all, so expect a wait. Coffee taste is good, no complaints (had a cappuccino and milk choc cookie which both were perfectly made!!!

This little coffee shop is not only adorable with a lovely aesthetic, but some of the friendliest staff I have encountered in the whole of Bournemouth! Had a lovely lunch, as they cater to veggies and vegans which is great, and should you wish to come alone there is a great selection of books brought in by customers. A lovely little gem that I would far prefer over a chain such as Starbucks or Costa!

Whist visting bournemouth we paid a visit to this cafe. 4 of us ordered lunch and found a table. Three meals arrivead when we questioned the 4th meal we was told there was no order,and the assistant then turned her back on me. So three of us had lunch, whilst i sat with a empty plate and totally disgusted with the customer service received. On the way out we questioned this again we were talking to a guy when a female jumped into the conversation. She was not interested in what we had to say no customer service and very agressive. Only interested in her own point of view and opinions. I work in retail and if one of my employees spoke to a customer in the way this girl speak to me, i would be very disappointed. This is also brand damaging. Im not saying the customer is always right, but respecting others and listening to there point of view goes along way. I wont be visting this establishment again.

Great choice for a brunch, particularly if you eat vegan or gluten-free. I loved this place. Really cozy and people working here are incredibly nice and kind. Portions are really big, food is so tasty!

I ordered eggs benedict and a Ham and cheese toastie. Terrible food. Do not order from here. The ham is very cheap and the toastie was thin, damp with little to no cheese. I was given a wooden fork and knife (no probs) but the person who packed my food stapled through the fork, so it has splintered - just careless.

A Fine selection of excellent tea and coffee and delicious food as well. What's not to like?

This place looks nice with pleasant atmosphere and staff however automatically three stars due to the fact they have normal or vegan breakfast and no vegetarian option. I asked for a vegetarian and instead of explaining this to me the staff put it through as vegan with added cost for egg. To me that's a cop out to make more money! I've never come across this before. Also they don't do fried egg, only poached or scrambled so if you don't want these options with a breakfast then best to avoid.

Staff were friendly enough, clean environment, good amount of outside tables. Food is expensive in here, so be prepared, and bizarrely toast is only toasted on one side? Disappointed on this occasion, better lunch experience

My partner and I have been coming here for well over a year, and are now on first name basis and Jack even knows our order of by heart every time we come through the door he just cracks on. Service is great, pleasant seating areas. Staff are wonderful and coffee/food is also great as well. Nice place and on of our favourite cafes.

Went here for the first time and it wasn't great. Coffee is good and Orange juice.but breakfast definitely not. I ordered full breakfast and arrived at my table too quick. As a Fine Dinning Chef is a Red Flag when the food arrives really fast. So lets talk about the food. Tomato was undercooked and the Mushroom was raw. Both these ingredients were most likely under the grill for 2 min. Breakfast was warm by the time I started to eat the toast and eggs rest was cold. All I eat from the plate was 1 toast, 2 overcooked " poached eggs " and some beans. I cut the sausage but if they can't cook two simple ingredients (mushroom and tomato) how should I trust them to cook a simple sausage? Like me the place wasn't busy.

Best coffee in town!!! I just love everything in this place. I always get a latte with vanilla, caramel or hazelnut and it’s perfect. Food is delicious too. Easy to order with online menu… thank you!

Went here with a friend recently, unfortunately due to some kind of system error our order didnt get through ,when I went to check, the staff were very apologetic and freindly which I really appreciated :) they sorted out our order quickly, would definitely go again

Our favourite place to eat in town. The best mocha's! Delicious breakfasts, the sausages 🤤 and f' amazing flatbread's!!! Love the atmosphere here, we always use the books on the shelves to distract out child too.

Nice modern cafe, clean with a lovely sitting arrangement. We had breakfast here while on holiday, egg Benedict was lovely and coffees taste good.

Whilst it's a nice atmosphere, prices are too much for portion sizes, and the food isn't the best for the money. Been here a few times as well, only seems to have gotten worse.

Decided to have breakfast here while on vacation, the atmosphere is absolutely lovely however the staff wasnt as friendly as I wouldve hoped .The lady who was taking our order was in a rush and didnt really give us time to look at the menu, we had to order quickly even though there was no queue and it was a pretty quiet morning. She didnt greet us, no hello,no thank you, it was very bizarre. in her hurry she forgot to mark one of our items so we ended up having to go back and re-order dessert because she had missed it. I was really hoping to love this place :( such a shame

Great experience with very helpful staff! We spent 3 days in Bournemouth and we repeated our breakfast at Esquires. Their coffee and food are delicious! We ordered through the QR code and the food was with us very quickly. We ordered the same thing both days, frappe, cold americano, eggs Florentine and full English with orange juice. I added hash browns as they were stunning! We can't wait to go back and visit this place again!

Found this lovely place by chance while looking for somewhere yo have breakfast. Friendly staff, clean premises and very calm. Highly recommend paying a visit if in Bournemouth.

Had breakfast here in their outside seating which was lovely. Ordered a full English and beans on toast with sausage and hash browns. Couldn’t fault it! Highly recommend the iced mocha too.

Lugar encantador, pero es una pena que no estén limpiando las mesas. Hemos estado en algunas ocasiones y la mayoría de las veces hemos tenido que pedirles que despejen la mesa y la limpien. Creemos que con el virus covid esto debería ser muy importante. El personal es encantador, pero quizás el gerente / propietario debería ser más particular al respecto.

Las cosas están empeorando. Personal no profesional. Lenguaje corporal agresivo.Ya se han ido montones de clientes habituales.Falta de limpieza y desinfección. Las tablas están pegajosas. Muchos clientes pueden utilizar la misma mesa varias veces.Como cliente habitual. No estaré feliz de volver a menos que capacite a su personal para brindar un servicio al cliente adecuado en lugar de cobrar un precio elevado.Tuve suficienteUn montón de otras cafeterías al lado.Gracias

Superb breakfasts, lovely coffee and clean and friendly setting. Extra props to the guy doing front of house. Really pleasant experience in such challenging times. Remember patrons: wear a mask when you’re ordering and before you sit at a table, it’s not much to ask!

El café aquí es muy bueno y el servicio estuvo bien. Pedí un inglés completo y fue terrible; salchicha tan cocida que no pude cortarla y huevos revueltos grises, secos y salados con tocino frío. Sus bocadillos parecían deliciosos; así que creo que tal vez sea solo un caso de ceñirse a lo que se te da bien y si no hay instalaciones completas para un desayuno caliente (bastante seguro de que todo lo que tenía estaba en el microondas), entonces quítalo del menú.

Entre la plétora habitual de cafeterías y cafés, este tiene un ambiente acogedor y relajado que brilla por encima de muchos otros. A un precio competitivo, tiene la ventaja adicional de servir el desayuno todo el día (o eso parece). El delicioso café y su plato de huevos turcos es una alternativa novedosa a una tortilla elegante o huevos Benedict. Buena variedad de comida y bebida a un precio razonable y una decoración atractiva. Es bueno comprar localmente y no llenar más los bolsillos de los puntos de venta más ricos.Muy recomendable.

He comprado café de Equires muchas veces y siempre está delicioso. Hoy decidí probar su comida ofrecida. Pedí mi capuchino de avellanas y un pan plano de pollo y pesto para llevar.El café, como de costumbre, estuvo excelente. El pan plano también estaba muy bueno. No demasiado seco con la proporción perfecta de pan a relleno.Lo que evitó que esta revisión fuera de 5 estrellas fue una adición inesperada a mi pan plano. venía con una guarnición de ensalada, lo que explicaba por qué el pan plano tenía 4. 95 (pensé que era un poco caro solo por el pan plano). Sin embargo, esta ensalada goteaba con el aderezo más vil. Quizás a algunas personas les guste este aderezo; No hice.En general, recomiendo mucho el café, pero no volveré a comer; como no comeré su ensalada, hizo que el resto de la comida fuera demasiado cara.

We have tried a lot of cafes in Bournemouth/Poole/Christchurch, and this is by far the best, on a consistent basis. Coffee No.1 in Southbourne or the Circo Lounge in Westbourne would be in second or third place. We always have Flat Whites with soy milk, and with a carrot cake sometimes. The pricing is fine given the quality. Also the service is good too. It is always busy, so seating sometimes may be unavailable. (As with a lot of coffee shops these days, there is always two or so people on laptops occupying a table for two, for what appears to be a long time. They should use the table for six in stead and share it with others in a similar situation.) The ambiance is nice too, with some outdoor seating too.

Everything was exquisite. The coffee was amazing and the brunch was delicious. The stuff was really helpful and they are taking care of the important details. A gentleman with glasses came to ask us about the food and how was it (great service).
