I wish I could give more stars! By far my favourite coffee shop. Stacey’s fabulous team always welcome me with a smile and leave me feeling set up for the day. Not only is the latte smooth and creamy the homemade cakes are yummy too! If you haven’t been yet… you are missing out on a gem!

Lovely food with very friendly staff.

Good sausages beans and toast. Not too sure about the mushrooms and no bacon...flat white great.

Love this place i go in every day get a coffee before I go on my walk with the dog, coffee is great and the food is lovely all made fresh, and as for the staff they are second to none very friendly, focus and on the ball and they go that extra mile to make you feel special. Would recommend to everyone who reads this to go and see for yourself xxx

Lovely food served by a lovely and friendly group of ladies, serve some very nice teas, tried peach and rhubarb, and pear tatin, recommend both, gonna try the others as well, highly recommend this place

Fabulous place! I cannot rate it highly enough. Always a friendly welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Yes the coffee is pricey but no more so than the big chains. And the coffee is better. Always enjoy coming here. The coronation chicken is a must!!

Been stopping in for a few months now. The drinks are well made and baked goods are sinfully delicious. The dine in food is fine, nothing special but still tasty. But my favorite thing about coming in is the staff-- they're always so cheerful, personable, and welcoming.

Been a regular here but didn't know been sold from end of January. Went on a weekend for lunch. Only 2 young girls on,new owner no where to be seen. Ordered drinks and lunch.after hour and a half and no sign of either asked for refund. That took forever but eventually happened when I said if my food came out as burnt as the table next to us I didn't want it! Felt sorry for elderly lady on next table whose panini was more than burned and she pushed it to one side untouched. At 7 pounds thats a disgrace. Why when just taken over a cafe would knew owners not be there?

Visited here Saturday morning 22nd October 2022. 1st time visit and probably the last. Plenty of free parking outside. Lovely decor inside and got a table ok. Ordered coffees only and did like the idea of being delivered to the table. This is where it went downhill, the coffee had no strength or taste, it was like drinking hot milk. Costa and M and S just Over the road serve a better drink

Very like a birds cake shop, bit smaller operation as you can see you can sit and have a snack outside. Nice friendly service

Espresso is such a warm friendly coffee bar. Natalie Lorna and Sophie always make us so welcome. They are spot on with being covid safe, sanitizer station at the door inside super clean. There coffees cakes and food are amazing.

There coffee and cakes are the best, took both my daughter then my mum in as we have missed it so much. You can buy coffee from anywhere but here you get the best along with a warm friendly touch ☕😀🍰

Visited on lazy Sunday Evening, stayed for a Latte and tasted divine, left me wanting more. Business Owner is wonderful and an absolute Peach! I’d love to come again. 5 Star Service.

An excellent peaceful one-off coffee shop (not a chain) - we regularly go in and sometimes meet up with colleagues/friends too. It's a great place for someone on their own too. It has a good range of food with new specials popping up all the time as well as seasonal specials. The friendly staff are always very welcoming and keep it spotless and tidy. Recommend.

I regularly go in & sometimes I meet an ex work colleague & we spend at least an hour. I find it really peaceful & good to chill out.

This cafe is local to us and we pop in from time to time because my partner is fussy about coffee and Espresso seems to meet his high standards! I can also vouch for their tea and the service is always friendly and cheerful. I find this a very relaxing spot to while away an hour. They also have magazines and I imagine this cafe would feel welcoming if you were alone as well. I get the impression that the staff take pride in their work and surrounding and it is always tidy and spotless. Prices are also reasonable. Recommended.

Welcomed on arrival, efficient service, food and drinks brought to the clean and tidy table, decent variety of snacks, good prices and a cheery "Thank you!" as you leave. We're regular visitors for good reason.

This is my favourite coffee shop. I travel 5 miles to get my latte from here. Recently I had stayed for lunch and the food was just as good as the coffee. The team create a friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Lovely little coffee shop serving a small selection of cakes and sandwiches all of which are very tasty. Good quality coffee and hot chocolate also served. Friendly and welcoming staff too, what more could you ask for?

Friendly enough staff.Fair to middling coffee.But £1.90 for a mini bottle of water! That’s a 330ml bottle, not the standard 500ml bottle.I could see that my mixed demeanour of anger at being ripped off and laughter at the sheer cheek of the price was troubling the staff so I didn’t ask for a refund. I couldn’t stop myself simultaneously laughing out loud and shaking my head in disbelief though as I left the cafe. Small businesses struggle enough without scoring own goals with unnecessary overpricing.

Found this small insignificant cafe about 8 months ago. My wife and myself now go back every Sunday. The staff are superbly helpful, pleasant and efficient. The food is very tasty and well presented. Mainly snacks and sandwiches. Cannot fault it.

Again, another great coffee and Panini. I can see why it was called a little gem. I think this title should also go to the great staff and their care towards customers. The owner cares for this business and her customers with passion, she is a good leader for her staff too. I am a frequent visitor, I love it.

Love this place - as a coffee snob and knowing so many big chain coffee shops can't even make a decent latte, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the latte was! Well made by the barista! Great looking cakes and snacks so in summary, highly recommended.

I went to interlude to pick up a quick lunch. They advertise on social media that they do gluten free options. I went in and spoke to a male member of staff, asked him about gluten free options, and explained that I could not eat things that were fried in the fryer. He told me that they would grill my chicken for the chicken burger and would not have a marinade.

Usually busy. Polite staff. Good coffee. Food available throughout the day. Lots of parking spaces. Seats outside too

Went in to this place just last week... the shop looks dated from the outside and it got even worse when my partner and I entered. We ordered 2 coffees... mine personally tasted like mouldy gone off milk.

This place along with Mason & Mason (The coffee shop) in Beeston are my two most favoured local cafes and for much the same reasons , friendly staff, good seating, outside area, good food well priced, good range of teas and coffees. the food available of light lunches, toasted items and soups, all of which are very enjoyable. Its well placed too, a car park with plenty of spaces and not a maze to negotiate and a collection of very useful shops as well as a cash point. It is a place I would recommend to anyone to use.

Great tasting hot coffee, most recent visit included a very flavourful mango chicken wrap, all at a good price in quiet pleasant surroundings.

I've been going in Espresso off and on since day one. I have always been greeted by friendly staff who always have time for a cheery hello and genuine smiles. The coffee is always excellent, the cakes moreish and the panini are superb.

This coffee place is just in the right position, to catch all the weary shoppers coming to shop at Lidl, or the little Tesco Express. And for an independent coffee chain their coffee is also very good.... An excellent place to stop off for a break...

Our first visit to this coffee bar and I was pleasantly surprised at how modern and spacious it was inside. The young female staff members were all very friendly and helpful. My husband had soup and I had a "Christmas Cob", which consisted of a slice of turkey, together with stuffing and pieces of bacon and sausage, served on a toasted cob with a separate serving of gravy. This really was very delicious and I can't wait to go back for another one! The prices were reasonable and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, very clean - good value for money and the food was excellent. The portions are sizeable and the hot chocolates were divine and so many marshmallows...!!! 😊

I am a regular to this lovely coffee shop and wouldn't go anywhere else. Their latte coffee is to die for and always has a lovely design on the top. I have had lunch a few times here and would thoroughly recommend the paninis. They are massive and have many fillings. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to please. It doesn't get very busy at times but it is well worth the wait for a table. Love it!

Upon visiting this coffee shop with my 10 month old grandson I asked for a high chair only to be told they dont have any. How dissapointing for a family friendly shop that says in it's additional info that it is "Good For Kids,"

This a family run cafe in the centre of a small retail park with a good range of coders and teas and cakes and lunches. Consistently friendly and busy. I've been several times since it opened and although you may have a a longer wait at busy times for food it's always presented well and not pre made . Great place for a coffee with friends

I've been here both for a drink and also food. The hot chocolate with cream is simply crazy - who knew you could get that much cream and marsh mallows onto the top of a drink. It's certainly a spectacle !!

I was surprised by the lack of breakfast food available when I visited at 9 am this morning, so settled for a teacake. It was OK, I just wish other choices such as a full English had been on the menu.

Always get a fantastic coffee served with a warm and genuine smile. Would not consider going to Costa or Starbucks with this great coffee shop so close. Well done.

Great atmosphere with lovely staff. You are always guaranteed a welcome and your coffee delivered to your table with a smile. Only downside is that it is quite small so sometimes particularly on a Saturday seating maybe limited. That said go next door to Lidl and wait - the coffee and cakes are certainly worth it!

Whilst the layout is nice and the food and drinks very good, I do have to agree with the other 2 reviews on noise from the staff.

I have been visiting this great coffee shop since it opened and love it. The coffee is by far the best in the area and the staff are all fabulous ! They always welcome you, nothing is too much trouble and go more that extra mile to create a wonderful atmosphere. This really is a little gem .The selection of cakes is great ,the food has thoughtful seasonal changes and by the way the Coronation Chicken Panini's are amazing. The large Latte's are huge and great value and with some wonderful latte art. A really great place to spend some time.

Popped in for a quick coffee. It was quick as I couldn't wait to get out. So loud and noisy. Staff shouting loudly to each other. One loud female staff insisted on telling the whole cafe she'd just see Jurassic park

The coffee bar is very well run by enthusiastic and friendly staff. It is clean, bright and the service is quick and efficient. A lovely place to stop for a drink and something to eat. Be aware though that it may be hard to find a seat at times as this is a very popular place for many people!

As the title says really I go here regularly with my folks as the staff are very friendly, service is quick with a personal touch, and the menu is very good.

I don't understand why anyone would go to Costa on the retail park when you have a wonderful coffee shop like this just across the road! the staff always have a smile on their faces and nothing is to much trouble. The coffee is much better than Costa too.

I like a trip to Costa and our original intention was to go to the Costa over the road. However we saw this place and popped it. Had a fantastic cappucino and a chai latte here. Also had some lovely homemade black forest slice and salted caramel slice. Pricing a little cheaper than over the road. If your ever at Chilwell and you think "I fancy a Costa", give this place a try, you won't be dissappointed. Service was excellent too, much more personnel and genuine.

After frequenting this coffee bar for nearly a year I have to say that there are 2 main reasons that I rate this number 1.

I cannot recommend the Espresso Coffee Bar enough! Located in a little local shopping centre, with ample parking and close to the Chilwell Retail Park. It provides a little bit of sophisticated coffee culture to the area. Lovely furnishings greet you, and the friendliest, warmest welcome from the whole 'Award Winning' team who are more than willing to treat each customer as an individual, even going as far as using our own 'chocolate stencils' we take in every time for our cappuccino. Their freshly made sandwiches are delicious [tuna and salad on deli bread I definitely recommend].

I love this coffee bar, I find it a lovely place to come and enjoy not only my coffee but also a bite to eat. I am a massive fan of their ham & cheese panini and I find it extremely well priced. The coffee is beautiful and smooth, not at all like the costa across the road!!! The staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful, always smiling and go the extra mile. I would have no hesitation at recommending this coffee bar to everybody i know! Visit this place, there is no doubt in my mind that you will love and adore it, just like I do myself.

The staff here make it what it is - they are some of the lovely people who always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and valued. Never eaten here but every beverage I've had is simply devine. Based at West Point Shopping Centre there is loads of parking and a bus stop right outside the door too - so there's no excuse not to visit!

I agree with Wrinkly/Annie sandwiches, paninis not up to standard. Coffees are very good but I wouldn't recommend eating here food is better across the road at Costa.

I visit here quite often when Im in the area and absolutely love their latte.

Extremely welcoming, friendly and relaxing place to have a coffee or tea either on your own or with friends. Plenty of comfy seats and definitely no rush or pressure to get you out the door as staff as easy going. If in Chilwell area and want a drink or a snack certainly try here as won't be disappointed as it is service with a smile

I travel to this coffee shop everyday for a coffee fix. I have a flat white and it sets me up for the day. The staff are lovely and always make time for me. I am a coffee freak so have travelled to many coffee shops and would definitely recommend this one.

A coffee bar/shop with the friendliest staff ever. A most relaxing place to while away an hour. Coffee excellent, tea brill and if the staff find out its your birthday you are guaranteed a cake! It doesn't come better than that! Enjoy!!!!!!

Visited this lovely coffee shop today for the first time. It was lovely. I had a latte which had a lovely picture of a flower on the top and had a coronation chicken panini. Both were fabulous and served by a lovely young lady. Will definitely be going back again. This is clearly a great independent coffee bar and all the staff are really friendly. Certainly recommend a visit.

Visited today. Enjoyed everything apart from the food. The panini was pretty basic and the presentation was below standard with hardly any filling. Nothing else on the plate. Had tuna mayonnaise which had bits of cheese stuck to the bottom. I felt that the pan hadn't been cleaned from cooking for a previous customer and that I got the remains of their filling in my panini. I definitely wouldn't recommend eating here. Really not worth the money

Visited this coffee shop for the first time last week even though it's really local to me and I'm glad I did. Great independent coffee bar, selling paninis, cakes, coffee etc. I just had a cappuccino and flapjack but could see from others eating in that the food looked good. Would go back again..

Came for lunch with my mum! We were a bit disappointed in the quality of the food! We ordered a panini and when it arrived there was minimal filling and there were no garnishes with them crisps or anything! They were just on their own! I wouldn't mind paying £3.50-£4.00 for a panini if it had a garnish, more filling and better presentation! My cold soft drink was also £2.50 which is rather steep! Overall, quite a disappointing lunch.... x

Perhaps the coffee isn't the best you'll ever taste (not quite strong enough for me) but this is a comfortable and relaxing coffee shop. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A pleasant place to pass the time.
