We ordered from the vegan menu and everything was perfect. Great food and great service. Thoroughly recommended.

Came on a very busy Thursday evening, glad we had made a reservation. As always food was fabulous, great choices on menu and served by a lovely young waitress with a smile. Can’t wait to return on our next visit to Ambleside next month

Great Mexican tapas in a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed a nice range of dishes, all of them very tasty. A good option for an informal dinner out although booking advised as it gets popular. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.

The food was fabulous and the service received by Zara and her team was second to none. I cannot recommend highly enough.

We had a booking on a busy Saturday night, service was excellent, advised of a slight delay on food staff were attentive with updates and drinks. Food was great, hot, tasty and varied. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Tapas in the Lakes. Perfect setting in the heart of Ambleside, great food and great atmosphere. Also a reasonable price for all we ate and drank. Not our first time and won't be the last!!

This was our second visit to Bar ES following a visit 12 months previously. We found the bar just as good as on our previous visit. The food was tasty and well cooked, and there was a good choice of beers although I think the beer menu had been thinned down a bit since the last time we visited. (Where was the Verdant?!) Good casual dining spot for anyone visiting Ambleside. Recommended.

Excellent food, cocktails and great atmosphere for a Wednesday night out. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves tapas. All of the staff were friendly and very attentive. We really enjoyed the whole evening thank you.

Everything about our meals and service received was first class as it usually has been on our many visits in recent years. Tapas were very well prepared and tasty. The young man who served us(unfortunately didn't get his name) was friendly and made us feel very welcome. An asset to the new team there. We will be back on our next visit to Ambleside.
