Good solid home made food which would suit every taste. The menu is varied. Very busy in the evening since it is also a busy bar. Parking free in nearby streets.

Great atmosphere with the bar vey busy, staff attentive, food was very enjoyable, Chicken Wings hot as……….

Booked our Christmas Dinner for the 2nd year after an amazing experience last year, an we were not disappointed. Food was unreal every course was loved by all an the desserts really were to die for. Staff were lovely as usual with a special shout-out to Danny our photo bomber from the bar lol

I recently wrote a review below about The Errigle. Phil sent us a complimentary voucher and asked us to visit again, and we were not disappointed! We had the hot wings and a mushroom starter which were excellent. The mains were fillet steak and fish and chips. The portions were more than enough and the service was superb. The bar was very busy but staff were attentive and pleasant always checking on us. Thank you for the food and we will certainly be back.

Normally pop in for food before rugby matches on a friday. Food is lovely and service is brillant. Great wee bar.

Last week I watched the rugby and had a fry and wrote a bad review. Was back for the rugby this week and had sausage egg & chips and it was lovely, nice and hot and freshly cooked, so writing a good review this week to off set last week. The excellent staff are always consistent

Had the lasagne was lovely, staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Decided to treat ourselves to a mid week dinner here and a treat it certainly was...from word go the service was impeccable as was the food. I went for a starter and a side, the tiger prawns and the special smoked bacon fries. It was cooked perfectly, delicious and exactly the right amount. My partner had the slow braised beef cheeks and again could not be faulted. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and left feeling fully satisfied. We may just have to make it a mid week treat every week!!!!

I am a very regular customer at the Errigle - staff are brilliant service is great but the quality of the food has been really declining! Was there to watch the rugby today and had the worst fry I have had in a long time. Was in last Sunday and the burger was dried out. The food seems to be precooked and then heated (although my fry was cold) when ordered so basically food not freshly prepared!!! Restaurant prices for precooked bar food - not a good combination!

Myself and two others regularly attend the Rugby and always head to The Errigle for a pint beforehand. We called in as usual a few weeks ago and decided to have food too. Depsite it being very busy we were looked after really well and the food was great. (Chicken Goujons and Errigle Burgers) we will now be attending every pre match for the same. Why pay £7 for a cold cheese burger or pizza at the ground when you can get quality and comfort 5mins from it. Keep up the good work guys.

Le pub est très sympa, l'intérieur est cosy et pour dîner on est tranquille, la décoration est comme dans les pubs typiques, le service est bien, mais il y a peu de choix pour dîner (pas de pie, pas de Irish Stew), le fish & chips était terriblement gras et j'ai été malade toute la nuit ensuite !....

OK, firstly the service was good and the female server was pleasant and courteous. The food did her a huge disservice. Being a local, I have to say that this was lack lustre. The food was cold and very scarce. It costs £24 for Surf and Turf and Scampi and Chips was around £14 ish...add to that a drink each, which cost around £51 in total. There were approx 3-4 prawns and a meagre scoop of luke warm potato. The steak was average. The Scampi was mainly soggy with very little scampi to be found. We decided to give The Errigle another chance and we won't be doing it again. There are better places to eat nearby... including takeaway. It's a shame because it seemed as though very little care was given in terms of standards. Very disappointed.

Always a pleasure to visit the Errigle Inn. My friend, who I was meeting, has a loyalty Card so every drink and food we had he got points. The day was so good we were able to eat/drink outside in the sun. Ok the traffic on the Ormeau Rd never lets up but after a while you don't notice it. The staff are always helpful and efficient and you can't ask for anything more that that.

Went to-day with a friend for lunch. We had looked on line at the menu before going. I would have liked to have ordered Cod Goujons but these were not on the menu handed to us when we arrived. My friend would have liked Scampi and Chips which were on the menu but were not available to order. Seafood Risotto was on the menu but not available to order.

A nice authentic pub where locals meet. Good food, a nice selection of beers. Personnel is very friendly. We liked it a lot

I had an early evening meal with the family at The Errigle on Saturday. The food was tasty and good value and enjoyed by all the family. The range of beer in this bar was massive and the staff knowledge of both the food menu and drink menu was high. Service was very good and the food and drinks were served quickly with a smile. Well done Errigle Inn - we will be back

Almorcé aquí la semana pasada, comimos sopa y el trigo no estaba fresco y muy duro, ¡lo que arruina totalmente la sopa! Los platos principales fueron aún más decepcionantes, la comida era sosa, sin sabor y sabor congelado especialmente las patatas fritas, también había huellas visibles de grasa alrededor de mi plato cuando se sirve. Nunca volvería y no recomendaría la comida a nadie! ¡Los establecimientos de comida rápida sirven comida de mejor calidad / degustación!

Tuvimos un fantástico almuerzo familiar el domingo pasado. La comida, el servicio y las bebidas eran excelentes. Mi esposo comenzó con los goujons de pollo y yo tenía los champiñones, ambos platos tenían tamaños de porciones perfectos, perfectamente cocinados y muy sabrosos. A continuación teníamos el cordero asado y la tarta vegetariana. No soy vegetariano, sin embargo, vi que uno salía de la cocina cuando llegamos, se veía increíble y se tomó la decisión. No nos decepcionó, ambos platos eran excelentes. Mi esposo es un fanático de la cerveza artesanal, ya había consultado las diferentes cervezas disponibles antes de que llegáramos usando la aplicación Untappd. Siempre me encantó el Errigle, pero fui testigo de una experiencia completamente diferente el 5 de mayo cuando estaba en el área de arriba después de haber completado la etapa de Maratón con otros tres grupos de amigos. Tardé 30 minutos en tomar una copa en el bar, solo dos empleados que trabajaban en lo que fue un día muy ocupado. ¡El miembro del personal masculino fue muy grosero y me ignoró a mí mismo ya mis otras dos amigas y continué sirviendo a otras personas detrás de mí! Cuando este barman se acercó a otro miembro de mi equipo de relevo que estaba parado un poco a mi derecha para preguntar cuál era su orden, le dijo al barman que yo y dos amigos estábamos delante de él para ordenar, pero el barman todavía no servía. ¡nosotros! Nos sentimos muy discriminados. Finalmente fue atendido por el miembro femenino del bar. He trabajado en el comercio minorista durante casi 30 años y me sorprendería que mi personal tratara a los clientes de esta manera. Sé que estoy muy ocupado, pero en ese día debería haber habido más personal para atender la demanda. Me desanimará volver a un bar que he conocido todos mis días viviendo en Belfast. This is an absolutely great spot and I love coming here when I'm in Belfast. Lots of seats when we were down around Easter and great feel to the place

As much as I love this bar this visit was horrendous, trying to get served for 20 mins and actually had to say to the bar staff are you having a laugh and then to watch the guy with the beard standing with his arms folded while others worked, disgraceful

Went to this pub as it was one of the nearest to our holiday apartment even though a mile walk but had good reviews. Waiter service in the “restaurant “ part of the pub, 5 or 6 tables in a raised area, menu not extensive but had more than other pubs on the road & was varid enough to cater for the 3 of us. My pork & leak sausages was delicious, the catch of the day was Haddock & was also delicious, that comes from my friend from Grimsby who knows what good fresh fish should taste like. Good choise of beers in a nice surroundings.

My hat, lost a couple of nights ago, handed to me before my first pint. Now that's service! Good crew, good beer, good food!

Two mains described as beef fillet stroganoff. Well executed with decent pasta and a tasty but not authentic sauce. However the portions were tiny - the dishes were like soup bowls but the border was at least 3" wide and the food containing area was - as a consequence - horribly small. It did not contain what one would call a main meal. We had to eat else where shortly after leaving because we were hungry again.

We were caught on a cold February lunchtime on Belfast's Ormeau Road and decided to try the Errigle Inn for a warm-up lunch. We were not disappointed. The bar was quiet and service was quick and cheerful. We started with bowls of tomato and basil soup with wheaten bread on the side and it was very tasty and warming. I followed this with the Errigle special club sandwich (chicken, bacon, mushroom and lettuce) while my companion had the gourmet burger and we ordered sweet potato fries on the side. My companion was unable to finish his and asked for a take home box which was no problem from our friendly waitress. Meanwhile the cheery barman tended to our drinks and dealt with the bill, which was surprisingly modest. All in all a very pleasant experience and I would thoroughly recommend the Errigle for a bar lunch. This is a long-established hostelry on the Ormeau Road and it's presumably named after the famous mountain in Donegal. However somebody should have checked the spelling all those years ago when they christened their pub - it's ERRIGAL !

I have been living in the area for 37 years and the Errigle has been my pub of choice for all of that time, whether it be just for a pint, or a meal with friends. Recently an unpleasant exchange between myself and a junior member of staff (which, I must add, was quickly sorted out by the manager) made me realize that I had been taking the Errigle for granted, and that a TA review was long overdue.

Went here for the rugby, fantastic spot to watch rugby. Didn't realise that upstairs is a massive room in which they show it, thankfully my nosey mate realised. I shall be back to watch more

Great pub with great atmosphere but how you would be able to sit and have a meal is beyond me. Couldn’t move in the place. Good for pints as a rugby bar but don’t take the missus there for a meal.

Was in this pub recently for an event being held in it and I must say I didn't enjoy my time in this pub at all. Bar staff were slow and not friendly, prices here were quite expensive also. This pub has no atmosphere that is welcoming at all. Also disappointed at lack of alcopops in the bar so it isn't inviting towards the people who don't drink heavy. Wouldn't return in future.

This pub is an absolute joke! The bar staff are very cheeky especially when they view me drinking all night and when it was my round to buy they then have the audacity to query my age and then accuse me of having a fake provisional driving licence. The pub is a complete utter shambles of a place with staff in dire need of retraining or replacing. Cleanliness also could be significantly improved in here.

I frequent this pub often with family and friends. Always have a good time. Good service and nice drinks. They do a very good Guinness. The food is also very very good and very good value.

Comí aquí con mi familia para una comida de cumpleaños entre semana. Había suficiente gente en el bar para crear un ambiente agradable. La música de fondo estaba en un nivel que nos permitió escucharla pero aún así poder mantener una conversación. Puntos extra por eso solo! La comida era buena, el personal joven era muy agradable y estaba bien de precio.

Still problems getting served needs addressing enough staff however some aren't allowed to serve atmosphere great as always food excellent waiter service good a special mention to the lovely sharron who could not do enough there is good customer service and then there is excellent customer service she falls into the latter well done Sharon u need head hunted by a Michelin star restaurant they would be lucky to have you thank you so take note errigle bar!!!!

I posted a negative review just over a month ago and subsequently made contact with the restaurant manager as requested. She was very helpful and we discussed what had gone wrong with the previous meal. She acknowledged that the skinny fries had been poor as staff tried them after my review and advised that they would be changing supplier. We both acknowledged that I had opted for the smaller size of burger. Some compensation was offered. I returned recently and had a much better experience. My husband and children ordered the skinny fries which had improved. I requested chunky chips which were lovely! I ordered the bigger size of burger which was a more generous portion. As always, the Errigle is a pleasant bar to eat in with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I was impressed by the follow up to my review as was not necessarily expecting it and feel it shows a commitment to providing a good quality service.

The fish & chips were a bit off. The fish was very fishy smelling and the fries were cut way too large. They need to be fried longer. We waited way too long for our food. The lasagna tasted too sweet and real lasagna is not made with hamburger.

Have eaten at the Errigle at various times over the last 10-15 years so wasn't expecting the standard to have deteriorated as significantly as it had this evening! Firstly, the waitress took the drinks order prior to our looking at the menu. So we ordered cokes for the children and only realised after placing the order that juice is included in the price of the children's meal. I asked the waitress if the cokes could count instead as the included drink or even 1 coke (and we would pay for the other) but she clearly advised that there could be no exchange. I would therefore suggest that when children are in the party and a drinks order is taken prior to menus being looked at, waiting staff should advise of the drink (s) that are included with the children's meal. Found this to be poor goodwill on behalf of the establishment. The children's meals arrived with extremely poor quality skinny fries; little potato and very crunchy/crispy. My burger subsequently arrived with the same poor quality skinny fries and the burger seemed around the same size as the children's. The chips were horrible and the burger was too small with barely a full slice of cheese on top and very streaky (obviously the cheapest) bacon on top along with 1 miserable onion ring. I remember in previous years, there was a bigger standard size of burger (no choice of size) which came with chunky potato wedges, a bigger portion of pepper sauce and I think a number of onion rings. Obviously, there has been serious economising with little to no regard for quality. My husband ordered the chicken burger and found it too small. I was extremely disappointed and surprised that our meals were considered adequate for the amount of money we were paying. I didn't say anything at the time as didn't want the unpleasantness and suspected little would have been done. I left feeling slightly hungry and completely ripped off - we paid approx £45 for a family of 4 (with 2 young children) and had no alcohol. I will not be wasting my money on any further food here unless I learn that there has been an improvement in the quality. There are many other bars, restaurants and takeaways in the surrounding area which are of a normal good standard.

It was across the road from our gaff. we went in there before the Liam concert and it was decent far play. cracking pint and much cheaper than town!

We recently booked the function room upstairs for a charity fundraiser. The whole team from the Errigle were superb, providing quality bar / security / sound staff for the entire night. Awesome setup with a great range of drinks, all of our guests were incredibly impressed and we will definitely be back again!

Very tasty food with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The setting is a quiet neighbourhood pub (well it was in the night we were there) with a lovely atmosphere.

Celebramos bautizo de nuestro niño en la sala de mármol aquí en el 8 de abril y el personal no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros. Yo estaba en contacto con Leigh hasta justo el día con preguntas y peticiones sobre cómo me gustaría que se hagan las cosas. Orianne nos ayudó en el día y organizar todos mis accesorios y decoraciones exactamente cómo me había preguntado, ella tenía el lugar bonito! Sin duda recomendaría aquí para futuros eventos, es una habitación muy bonita!

This place was very good as always. Everytime I go there is a good buzz about the place. Only negative was one of the customers had their chair in the middle of the doorway to the ladies toilets so it was impossible to get through. Staff could have done about it

The room 'at the back' is the place to go - The Oak Room has wood panelling and Loyd Loom chairs & tables it is so atmospheric!

Visited the Errigle last night for a meal. It was busy but a helpful bar staff server found us a table. Most tables were reserved.Both ordered scampi and chips/ champ. Scampi arrived very overcooked and quite greasy. Portion was also quite small. Champ was excellent.

We booked ahead of an evening rugby match and I would certainly recommend doing so. There are extensive bars downstairs but we ate upstairs. THe service was superb and very friendly (without being "in yourt face"). The food was excellent, hot and tasty. The beer was excellent. Service of both food and drink was quick. Excellent place which was recommended by our rugby club. Won't need to be recommended again - we will return when the match calls!

It is a family tradition to go the Errigle for a meal on New Years Eve and we were certainly not disappointed.

This place was busy enough but we were lucky enough to get seats. I thought the staff were very attentive and there were plenty of them cleaning and clearing tables which was great to see.

Have been visiting this place for years, always enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff, but upon looking at the price increase of food may go elsewhere as I would imagine some others may well do. Example being £15 for one meal of scampi & chips, £3 more than the usual, I find this ridiculous, don't know how management can expect loyal customers to hand this over for ONE average meal. Has sickened me a bit with the place and feel it's now time to go elsewhere.

We love the Errigle for a drink or two in the back bar. Today was the first time we took our children there for late Sunday tea/dinner. From the beginning the staff went out of their way to be helpful, finding us a suitable table (hadn't reserved one). The service was excellent. The food was delicious and I in particular was very happy because I got a tasty vegetarian meal of mixed bean stew, perfectly cooked rice and a delicious crunchy salad instead of house bread on the menu. My partner and children also loved their food. What we all loved was the presentation of our food and the puddings. Elegantly presented. Thank you.

Went in for lunch/brunch and a few beers. The food was great - they offer traditional pub food (pies, sausage & mash etc) as well as good brunch options (eggs Benedict, full Irish breakfast). Service was good too and the pub is nice and big.

Had a really good night here with family and friends. The staff were brilliant, there is a wide range of drinks available. (this has not brought the review down, but there are quite a lot of bar hoggers, making it difficult to order at times. However, the staff are quite alert to this)

My son & his wife bought us a meal voucher for The Errigle so after a trip to the cinema we decided to make use of it. As the bar always has a great atmosphere we decided to eat there. We were quickly seated and given menus and drinks orders taken. I ordered the scampi and my husband had the steak sandwich. Both were well cooked and substantial. Service was friendly and efficient. We hadn't eaten here in many years as it is not convenient to where we live but we will definitely take the trouble to come back.

We stopped by this place to grab a bite, it was recommended to us by the owner of the B&B we were staying at, the food was great, the bartenders were wonderful, they took the time to talk with us about a good place to listen to music that evening. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

We enjoyed our recent dinner at Errigle Inn, recommended to us by our B&B. The Inn had a nice pub atmosphere. The service was good and the burger was tasty, including a peppercorn sauce. They were reasonably crowded, with many of the patrons appearing to be locals, which is always a good sign.

What a great find for us! As we were checking the menu outside, a local came up and told us that the food was excellent. He was correct! This is a locals’ spot, we were probably the only tourists on the premises. All the outside tables were full and inside was pretty full too. The excellent food was very affordable. The menu contained more than pub food, for example, one of us ordered the grilled goat cheese on a salad of beets, walnuts and oranges. The other in our party had grilled salmon on couscous with fresh peas and green beans in a white wine reduction garnished with green peas tendrils. The barman recommended a great local beer. With the superb dinner specials, this place must have among the best pub food anywhere.

Fantastic jazz band at errigle inn called Linley Hamilton and friends. Singer has fabulous gravelly voice and and the horn player was really excellent. Great accompaniment to Sunday lunch

I was totally disapointed with fish.. Completely tasteless. Two of my friends ordered the same (fish&chips), with same impression. Better pick another dish.Fun thing about this inn: almost every person from service was involved into our table :-) 8 persons total, or even more ;-)

We stumbled upon the Errigle one lunchtime, and given the scarcity of good cask ale in Belfast I hardly expected to find three on, and in such good condition. The food proved to be top notch too. Well worth seeking out.

We were looking for a comfortable, clean pub with good pub food and found it at the Errigle. The waitstaff was polite, helpful and fun...and the burgers are good.

My friend and I were going to the Opera House and I suggested we go to the Errigle Inn for something to eat beforehand as my friend had not been to the Errigle before. We were pressed for time but thought we would have a main and dessert. My friend had chicken supreme and I had scampi. Both meals were absolutely delicious. The waiter took our dessert order for Profiteroles. He returned to tell us that they were all finished but we could have a complimentary dessert if we wished. With time pressing we were not able to do so. Our waiter C.C. was courteous and attentive. Only one regret - sorry we missed our complimentary dessert. Very nice gesture by the Errigle Inn's staff. My friend is now going to take her husband for a meal.Charlotte

A wonderful venue with amazing food and a sincere welcome. Highly recommend this pub for evening meals and specifically the "Mac and Cheese" it's amazing!

We visited on Sunday lunchtime and found that the quality and presentation of the food has deteriorated, the burgers were below average and the pavlova was inedible, it was too hard and too chewy.

Ended up eating here twice. Hated to do that as so many places looked great but it had the warm, cozy inviting pub feel that we were looking for. Combine that with good food, good service and lots of beer choices--had to go back!!

I stopped in on a crowded Saturday night for dinner and I'm glad I did! I started with a bowl of the soup of the day, which flavor reminded me of a cross between Manhattan clam chowder and Bouillabaisse. It was a tomato and red pepper base with chunks of firm fish, slightly sweet and very good. The bowl was a very large portion and could have easily been a meal itself with half of a sandwich. Next, I had grilled lamb chops with baby carrots and roasted potato wedges in a red-wine reduction sauce. There were four large chops and they were cooked perfectly. To complete my meal I had a brownie in melted chocolate sauce topped with vanilla ice cream. My waitress said that it was , "fantastic" so I had to indulge and I'm glad I did. It was perhaps the best meal I had eaten in my ten-day visit to Ireland. Don't miss this place. The food is exceptional!

I love going to The Errigle for a few pints. Great atmosphere and super beer selection on draft and in bottles.

We went mid week for dinner having been a few times before as I live on the Ormeau Rd. The food is good and tasty but the reason I don't go more often is that the choice on the menu is very limited and a lil expensive for what you get. It's also the second time asking for the house white wine and them serving a more expensive one.

In a new departure for the Errigle, they've completely revamped their weekend breakfast / brunch menu and introduced a live Jazz band on Sundays.The new menu is excellent, with both the salmon hollandaise and Errigle fry being instant hits with my wife and myself. The accomplished Jazz quartet provided a very comfortable backdrop to the meal, with the volume generally at a comfortable level - though the (admittedly excellent) trumpeting may be a little strident on occasion for some hangover sufferers!Added to this, the staff are as pleasant as ever - and the coffee is still a great way to blow away the weekend cobwebs. Keep up the good work!

I've eaten here a few times and it's consistently alright for a quick bite to eat. The burger here last week was pretty poor. Cheap cheap cheap meat, the frozen Iceland stuff. Scampi was beautiful - light puffs of tender scampi and lemon to squeeze over. It's decent enough food but nothing amazing.

I was here recently for drinks before and after an Ulster rugby match. The bar was busy but the staff were good and quick at serving. Great selection of beers available and overall decent crowd and atmosphere.

Had a lovely dinner here on a Sunday. We phoned beforehand and booked which i would recommend as it was busy and some people were turned away. Good atmosphere here and pub always seems busy. Very friendly staff. Would recommend a visit here.

Very popular spot and we were lucky to get seats. Negatives: staff don't clear the tables enough (there were dirty glasses, etc left from the previous customers for about half an hour) and the music just got louder and louder, making it more difficult to have a chat.

Enjoyed an excellent night at the comedy club at the Errigle on Friday 30 December with friends. Compere Neil had a good rapport going with the audience. All three acts were very funny gentlemen. I can't recommend the floor staff highly enough. They were very quick to take drink orders without any disruption to the act on stage.

I recently organised a Christmas lunch for 18 people at the Errigle and it was a great experience. Leigh was a pleasure to deal with throughout making the arrangements, even when I had to add in a person at the last minute. The food was delicious - between us all I think we had every dish on the Christmas menu and everyone was happy with their choices. My main was nut roast and sometimes I'm jealous of the meat eaters in terms of choice, but it was really lovely - no food envy this time! I had fudge cake for dessert which was nice but I have to say the Pavlova looked amazing. I'll be having that next time! We were greeted with a glass of bubbly and also had tea and coffee as well as our three courses so I think the whole menu was really good value. The service upstairs in the beautiful Marble room was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive and they served our large party without any problems. Overall it was a great experience in terms of food, service and customer service and I would highly recommend them for functions. See you next year!

There is a crowd of us goes every single Friday at the end of a working week for a pint and sometimes food too. The staff are extremely slow at taking orders. They take each individual order and process it through the tills. Even though they know we are on a one hour lunch break and are steady regulars. Very slow.I phoned to pre order food and book a table for 10 people the Thursday before Christmas and they still got it wrong. There was no 'pre-order' for food available, which was because they said they could still have our order out in good time. There were only 3 of us having turkey from the Christmas dinner menu and I thought I would give them a heads up since we were on a time limit.NOT THE CASE!We arrived and there was no table. Was told it was a miscommunication and they thought it was for 3 people. (We tried to pre-order 3 turkey dinners). We all turned up and had nowhere to go. They admitted there and then that it was purely their fault.We were then told we could sit upstairs (on our own) but would have to wait 5 minutes until it opened! It was embarrassing.Upon getting seated our food order was taken (mostly side dishes) and an order of 3 turkey dinners (was originally 2 turkey dinners and the turkey & ham pie) but one of us changed our minds and wanted a full turkey dinner instead. Obviously that person didn't choose to not eat at all! The staff went purely on assumption.We then waited a further 25 minutes until our food arrived. Only 2 turkey dinners came, plus the rest of the sides and one other meal. I waited until I had to say to a staff member that there was another turkey dinner to arrive, which was received with blank looks. I was then confronted by the girl who took our order who said I told her there was no turkey & ham pie now, so she just took the order of the 2 turkey dinners. There was no confirmation or clarification of this at the time. I was then "compensated" with 2 bowls of chips. The real kicker?? We were still charged the full amount on our bill. Even my chips!!!!!Not quite the turkey dinner I was hoping for and looking forward to.Pure disappointment and hopeless service. And we were all very late back to work!!3 of my colleagues also have a loyalty card for the pints they get every week and they get no loyalty back. The staff are unable to tell them what pints they can have on their loyalty points! POOR, POOR, POOR!!!

In my opinion the best local bar in Belfast. Extensive range of draft beer, wines and spirits. Premises are kept clean & staff are usually nice. Place is always packed at the weekends, great spot.

Having lived off the Ormeau for most of my life. The Errigle has always been a staple. It's great for a pint, grub downstairs and the staff are dead on. The area, atmosphere and abundance of screens for sports are spot on.However on the last few occasions, service has slipped while viewing the rugby in the upstairs function room. In particular today. No table number was brought to the table or cutlery, causing confusion for food runners. I had to ask for cutlery when the starter arrived, whereby it was placed on the table without a napkin under it. Subsequently another server came down with 4 more sets of cutlery, making six, there was only two of us at a small round table! Dinner came without cranberry sauce on one meal or stuffing in the other meal, a chicken roast. I did ask for the cranberry sauce, but by the time we realised there was no stuffing we gave up running after staff.Having ordered dessert, after 20 minutes of our plates sitting without being cleared we had to move them to a different table.The rugby finished and I honestly couldn't even be bothered waiting for the dessert I paid for. These are basic skills for severs to learn and develop that can and will completely dampen a diners experience in a local pub. It's made for an uncomfortable Sunday lunch and left us quite irate. What a waste of money.

A large party of us ate here after a fantastic game of rugby on Saturday. Unfortunately the same could not be said of the food on offer. Basic pub grub at inflated prices. My smoked salmon starter priced at £7 was tiny with a few leaves and no wheaten bread. Three of the party had a basic roast beef dinner priced at £18 - no presentation here, everything just piled on a plate. Add on the price of a pudding and it worked out more expensive than a 3 course lunch at the Merchant Hotel - I kid you not as we had a superb lunch there a few days ago. Guess where I'm going back to!

have eaten here quiet a few times, and food is just good pub grub, but the price has went out the roof, a Sunday beef roast £18....ridiculous
