I was lucky enough to dine at Enoteca Turi a few month back and I can tell you this restaurant is everything you can expect from an Italian restaurant. Warm welcome, authentic staff, divine food. This restaurant is definitely a place to go. Cesare and his team on the floor are doing a wonderful work, they are all so friendly and professional. The Chef is very talented. Do yourself a favour and visit it, you won't be disappointed. I cannot wait to go back and try their summer menu. Many thanks Team Enoteca Turi!!!!

My first visit and I was reasonably impressed with the food.although its not cheap.I suppose in this location the overheads are high.Pasta with prawns was good and the prawns were succulent, the linguine OK but a bit too al dente for my taste. STARTER SIZE £15Main of sirloin with leaks £32 cooked as ordered but meat a little bit firmTiramisu sort of deconstructed was £9 not amazing and overpriced. The diners were mainly 58-80 years old

Chose set lunch option. Recommendations of wine for each course, very helpful with very large wine list. Wine can be bought by glass, carafe (500ml) or bottle. Food excellent , portions on small side. Minor quibble is that might need to order extra vegetables. Great choice for celebratory meal if you like good wine.

All in the title: I happily pay high price for excellent food and in that respect, the restaurant serves an innovative and good cuisine. But the quantities served are so small that you end up eating the bread in order not to starve at the end of the dinner. Those ridiculously small portions - at high prices - are quite unusual, even in five stars restaurants. And discourages a second visit, despite the nice service.

I'd been to the predecesor restaurant, Tinello, at this same location on Pimlico Road a few years back. I was suitably impressed by Tinello's Tuscan fare, so thought we'd give Enoteca Turi a try with another couple for our monthly 'binge and discuss' session. The place looks very much the same, albeit dressed up a bit. Small restaurant, perhaps 20 tables, not too tight and certainly a bit of ambience. Wish they'd left the exposed brick alone, painting it gold doesn't accomplish much. Nonetheless, our monthly session is all about food and wine. Demonstrating extraordinary depth, the wine book is a worthy journey across all Italian wine regions, with options available at all price levels and some nice choices of vintage. If you're into Tuscan reds, there is extraordinary depth here. About a 3x markup as you'd expect of a nice dining establishment,The food menu was interesting, certainly a fairly long way from traditional Italian, best considered a gourmet approach. We apparently visited during artichoke season (never really knew there was a season for that), so an additional list of specials. The food was well prepared, all of it perfectly cooked... albeit with a layer of complexity I don't usually associate with Italy... on some dishes it felt like they were trying a bit too hard, where fewer flavours and sauces would have shown better. The dessert menu was short and very creative, you would be forgiven if blindfolded for not guessing Italian... again, very high quality, just not 'of type.'The big letdown for us was the service. It was reasonably crowded for a Wednesday, I can only hope they were down a server or two. Wine service was non-existent, we managed our own pours through much of the meal. The time taken to order was on the long side, the servers all appeared busy - just not attending to anyone. We had to request bread, then request olive oil... all of which should have been placed when our drinks arrived. We asked for red and white wines to arrive together, so everyone had a choice based on dishes... the waiter filled all glasses with white - big miss. My main course, a pasta with prawns and artichokes, wasn't to the "liking" of the chef, so I asked my companions to start their mains as mine was promised in "about 4 minutes." Twenty minutes later my dish arrived, and I had the pleasure of my friends onlooking as they had long finished! While they kindly removed the cost of my main and the desserts as a nice gesture, that didn't really make up for poor service throughout a pricey meal.Hard to recommend based on our experience.

I visted Enoteca Turi with my sister for her 50th Birthday celebration last night. It was the first time we had eaten here but had been attracted by the sensible small regional Italian menu and our experience of eating across Italy. The atmosphere was a perfect balance between family trattoria and formal ristorante. Given its location in SW1 London, prices were not budget but ultimately reflected the care, thought and proper execution in the kitchen so the bill was reflective of our indulgence in both the food and the wine. My cod cheeks, gunard pasta, lamb and chocolate desert were top drawer and served with grace and poise by both the female a male staff. What a delight to be treated so respectfully and attentively but not at all with any pressure to drink or spend. Clearly other diners were accustomed to the personal service and the ambiance was just so warm and a real reminder of what it is to eat in off the tourist track London Italian restaurants. The only quibble I had was my glass of sweet red dessert wine was not quite as smooth as expected. Otherwise this was a very fine meal indeed and the extremely tasteful portion of complimentary birthday dessert was as classy as I have ever experienced. If you know your Negroni, Carciofi, Cavolo Nero and Grappa this place is not to be missed. My go to memories will be the silky pasta, the chick pea and black cabbage and the olive oil ice cream. Overall a wonderful balance between up market dining and the real deal Italian food supported by a relaxed and very professional front of house team. One day I will return to do some serious damage on the wine list. Go if you have eaten proper Italian food!!

We first ate in Enoteca Turi in November and we were reasonably impressed, suggesting it wouldn't be too long till we were back. And indeed today we were back for lunch. Now it's not that common for me to review a restaurant twice. Generally it means that there is a conflict between what I thought at the end of the first visit and what I think now, and that's the case here. Today we ate between us five courses from the a la carte menu; three starters , and two pasta main courses....

Had a wonderful evening at Enoteca. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and we were welcomed at the door by the charming hostess and seated. The menu was very interesting, beautifully presented and delicious. I started with the carpaccio of beef with an anchovy cream which was supberb, followed this with the monkfish - light and sublime and perfectly cooked and finished with the blood orange done 3 ways. The chef has an extremely light touch and one left the restaurant feeling pleasantly replete but not overfull. The remainder of the party had the pasta with gurnard, the burrata, the 7 layer chocolate sponge, the tiramisu - all of which was declared exceptional by them. The service was also a delight. The wonderful Maitre D really knew his stuff and was extremely helpful with both food and wine with excellent information on both and also had a few moments to chat informally. The waitress was efficient and equally delightful. Altogether it was one of the most enjoyable evenings that I have spent in a London restaurant. We noted, in particular, it was full of Italians also enjoying the food - what better recommendation!Thank you to everyone at Enoteca Turi - it was faultless.

It was difficult to decide what to order as there were so many items I would have liked to try. My friend had melt-in-your mouth cod with crispy cod belly and vanilla cauliflower - vanilla cauliflower?! Well the dish tasted amazing - I was glad that my friend let me have a nibble of it. I had venison with a blueberry and blue cheese sauce and it was delicious. The desserts were great too and unlike anything I've had anywhere else.

We had a refreshing pomegranate and prosecco aperitivo my veal kidney and artichoke starter was simple but pleasant. The pumpkin and gorgonzola risotto was excellent as was my wife's veal pasta. The chocolate and pomegranate desert was very pleasant. We had a. ice carafe of pinot bianco reasonably prices. It was exactly what we wanted a simple light delicious lunch. In any event, decided to go and try out the new location in Pimlico with some friends for lunch last Saturday and I have to say it was lovely! Food still of very high quality - I had the calves liver which was delicious and a couple of friends had the rabbit which was apparently fantastic. But whatever it was it tasted great. I went on to osso buco (which had a twist: the bones were not bones at all: they were potato - a sort of posh Hula Hoop). The lambs kidneys wrapped in pancetta as a starter were under-cooked and the pancetta had uncooked fat which is not acceptable. Perhaps the sous chef was covering but competition is fierce in this category and mistakes like this have to be avoided. The rest of lunch was fine and up to the usual standard. However if something like this happens again, it could well be back to Manicomio.

We used to be regulars at the restaurant when it was in Putney even though we live in W1. So we were keen to return to it at it's new venue and not just because it is closer to home. We always enjoyed the food and the service. We were not disappointed. The food and the service continued the high standard set in Putney. We lunched, which is really good value with wine by the glass, suggested for each course. The food appears simple but is really tasty and appropriate portions, although we couldn't eat pudding. I started with fresh figs with proscuitto and rocket. Fabulous. And followed this with cod. Simply superb. My partner had the minestrone and medallions of pork; also superb. The service is exquisite. The restaurant has lost nothing from it's Putney roots and while the atmosphere is different it is still authentic; it's not spartan or over wrought, it's sophisticated and fits the food, if that's possible to say. We're glad it's moved because it's an area with a number of our favourite restaurants, which should be pleased to have Enotec Turi in their neighbourhood.

Enoteca Turi were forced to leave Putney last December by a developer determined to redevelop their building and ramp up their rent. Well-known as one of Putney's top restaurants, Giuseppe and Pamela Turi and their team were much missed this year - it was always a treat to dine there and we made a point of booking it for special occasions. When we knew some good friends from France were visiting London who knew Enoteca Turi from its time in Putney, they suggested trying it in its reincarnation in Pimlico. We were not disappointed - the same friendly, attentive welcome and delicious Italian cuisine. The menu offers, as before, wine by the glass carefully selected to match each course and this is a superb way to sample wines from the restaurant's extensive cellar and discover less-known regions and has the additional advantage of avoiding the classic dilemma of trying to choose a wine that suits everyone. The new restaurant is smaller than the previous establishment in Putney but there are plans to expand it. One touch that we really appreciated was the choice of sound-absorbing material in the ceiling which allowed us to chat freely without having to compete with the noise found in so many restaurants whose bare, contemporary décor reflects and amplifies every sound.

This used to be our favorite restaurant place to eat in Putney. They have moved to a new location. We decided to test it out. Great food, try the kidney starter followed by the lamb main and Tiramasu. Wonderful wines also. The staff are mostly all the same as before and the owner comes out to greet us as always. I would reccommend this place to everyone who loves Italian food. Also its not over priced. We will go back.

Lovely friendly couple who run this restaurant with excellent supporting staff. Lots of loyal followers. Personally I felt the back to brick red walls left the place a little bear and the food was bland and really expensive for what we had. Shame as this restaurant came personally recommended from a friend who was a very long term and loyal customer when this was in Putney.

Very nice small italian in Pimlico. The service and the food were impeccable. The waiters were very helpful without beeing too intrusive which is perfect. The quality of the food was top quality as well. Massive wine list for the connoisseurs!! The only negative thing is the price of their whiskies: £11.50 for a single Talisker is very expensive. I've paid £5.50 in a gatro pub in London the week before!

If you know the old place (Tinello, RIP) you cannot expect the same experience - even after the first months, you might have hope that they will catch up, it is just a little disappointing if you expect amazing Italian food, unfortunately just another average Italian in London: and beside that they are a high-nose on their believe how good they cook and how you get treated if you step in with trainers

The former site of Tinello (RIP) has spawned another Italian restaurant, Enoteca Turi which (according to its website) was previously in Putney. As a lover of Italian food I very much looked forward to my dinner. Sadly the restaurant didn't live up to my hopes, I'm unlikely to return soon. The room is inoffensive and the service middling; all of which I can live with if the cooking makes up for it. Unfortunately it doesn't. It's all perfectly edible but you'll have forgotten it before you finish you plate. The dishes are simple, but they are not prepared with finest ingredients or skill. It's possible that in Putney this quality of cooking was good enough. I'm not sure Belgravia will be as forgiving. The owners seemed charming and I hope that they will rise to the challenge of the site.

Greeted well by manager. shown table and welcomed satisfactorily. Starter crab pasta, beyond delicious. Members of our party ordered calves live for the mainr by all accounts was delicious. Others ordered the rabbit, just not what we thought, it was wrapped around a mousse of some description, and so unpleasant to the palate we could hardly swallow it. Should've asked for a change, but there's always a yellow streak when you're with friends who are happy with their choice. The desserts were delicious, although there was a rather unusual waiter who thought to throw the dessert cutlery on to the table, I wondered if he was there for comic effect. Not bad we'll try it again sometime. We wont have the rabbit.

We were welcomed, without having made a reservation, to a lightly populated restaurant at 12.30 for a weekday lunch. Everything is newly decorated, opened just a few weeks ago after a move from Putney. Nice breads - good free water. The set lunch was delicious, freshly cooked and original presentations of Eggs St Anna and roast quail. The Italian rose wine was fair value and the right temperature (not too cold to taste). The staff made a real effort to please. The cost was acceptable too. Very pleasing.

It is well hidden I generally had not noticed this restaurant although I have driven past it often. The decor of the restaurant is nice and fancy, I generally like restaurants that make an effort for presentation. The service is fantastic, you are not rushed, they are very polite and helpful as well. I was unlucky with my choice of mains hence the 4 and not 5*. The potato gnocchi tasted very bland and the smoked ricotta flavour was overpowering so that overall it was not received well by my palate!! I made up for it with dessert, their desserts are very good. The poached pear was very nice with the nougat pudding and their tiramisu was very nice as well. Overall it was a pleasant evening. I will repeat again that the service is fantastic. I wouldn't mind going again but they need to expand on their non-garlic vegetarian options!

My Mom and I ate here on April 5th, on our last night together. Upon arrival, the manager, Cesare, was very friendly and attentive and we were looking forward to a nice evening. Perhaps our waitress was having an off day, but we found her to be unpleasant and aggressive. I ordered the beef rib and my Mom chose the monkfish. We also ordered a carafe of Pinot Bianco. My meal was accompanied by pureed turnip and spinach. I took two bites of the beef and then tried the turnip. It was ice cold. I asked the waitress if it was supposed to be served cold. She frowned , said no and removed my plate. My Mom ate for a while but wanted to wait for my plate to re-appear so that we could eat together. Ten or fifteen minutes passed and I am now given a soap bowl plate - the turnip is hot this time (that's good!) but the meat portion was smaller. Yes, I had already had two bites but it still looked somewhat diminished. We remarked about this when the waitress came to get our empty plates. She responded in a very aggressive manner. We then decided to forego dessert and asked for the bill. She had trouble with the portable credit card reader a few times but then was successful. Upon leaving, my Mom mentioned to Cesare that we were unhappy with how things had turned out. Yes, the problem originated with the kitchen error, but the outcome would have been so very different had the waitress reacted in a friendly, competent manner.

The new Enoteca restaurant has a good atmosphere and is well designed. The staff, as always, warm, attentive providing a very good quality of service. We had been to Enoteca in Putney for many years and the food was onsistently faultless. This was our first visit to the new location. Overall, we felt the quality of food was not to the level we had previously experienced. Previously,I would have described the food as having effortless authenticicity, quality, delivered with clever subtleness. We will go back to try again, but for the cost I would expect better.

Charming service in a lovely room which was previously the excellent Tinello and has changed little. They greeted us warmly and we were served homemade bread which we enjoyed (although there was no olive oil but I am sure we could have asked for some). I only wish that the food could step up a notch. I know I am being uber fussy but all of us agreed that everything was very under seasoned. My risotto wasn't "creamy" I think a different type of rice had been used but my husband loved his rabbit pasta. The portions were very large (I probably shouldn't complain but had difficulty finishing my first course!). The wine list is wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the choice we made. All in all a very nice experience but not the best Italian but with some finessing and most of all seasoning I think could make the grade.

This ought to be a first-rate local restaurant (I live round the corner, in an area with a dearth of good neighbourhood offerings), and both the dinners I've had here have been first-rate in terms of food, with friendly and attentive service. The wines, however, are overpriced, especially if you don't want a whole bottle – a glass of (admittedly good) prosecco costs more than a glass of champagne at the Goring Hotel, five minutes away, and a middle-of-the-road chianti was priced per glass as a high-end red burgundy. Not impressive. Worse than that is their insistence on a two-sitting policy – fine if you actually like dining at 7pm or 8.45pm, but really bad if trying to treat elderly relatives who do neither, or if you want to make dinner the centre-piece of your evening. I talked them out of it on the first two visits, but their now sticking to their guns (for a booking on a Monday night!) and until they change, I am going elsewhere.

I was a regular visitor to Enoteca Turi in Putney for twenty five years and it was my favourite local restaurant. I was disappointed when they were forced to close in Putney as the food there was always delicious and seasonal, the wine list extensive and the service friendly and efficient. I therefore travelled the few miles to Pimlico with friends recently to try out the new location. I am very pleased to say that the food is still of the same excellent high quality, the wine list has not changed and the staff are still friendly, courteous and always willing to explain the menu and advise on the wine. The interior of the restaurant is stunnng and the tables are well separated so one doesn't have to listen in to other conversations. We are looking forward to our next visit.

No longer our favourite restaurant following our visit last week. Such a pity, but the ambience in their new Pimlico home has lost its warmth and gentle hum, the service has become less personal and the food just okay. The menu and wine list are pretty much the same but I imagine there must have been some people changes in the kitchen and evidently in the front of house staff. All in all, a somewhat anodyne experience. It is early days and so hopefully things will improve.

Like many we were keen to try Turi since it replaced Tinello and booked in their first weeks of opening. Teething problems can hence happen although given this is a relocation should not be too bad. The food was overall a bit disappointing and so was the service. We had the Duck ragout pasta which was OK and also the spaghettini. The dish was cold. When I mentioned this only my dish was taken away, put under the salamander and returned such that we had separate, sequential dinners. One takes both away and in top places cooks the food from scratch again, rather than reheat. Monkfish lacked seasoning and hence the whole dish was bland. I understand from friends who used to go to the old location that quality is down, an attempt was made to make it more stylish and prices are up. Not great at the price.

A very enjoyable evening in a gradually very busy restaurant. The waiters were friendly but deferential and polite. The wine list very broad and good value - we had a Pecorino – a wine I had not tasted before –good. There were interesting breads with olive oil in place. The pasta is clearly fresh and homemade and a good amount for a starter. The pappardelle were tasty and the duck ragout really good. My lamb and artichokes was lovely -the mash a bit bland and too much like semolina in constancy, but the rest excellent and unusual. There was also some very green earthy-tasting spinach. There was a miniature dessert selection for us to share as we didn’t want a whole one each. Sure it's pricey but so many unusual regional dishes and wines and excellent service. It is an original and the queues outside are a testament to the quality.

We ate dinner with friends this evening, I cannot quite believe how terrible the food was. There was an artichoke menu that I chose, it had an artichoke salad with broad beans, it was alright. The artichokes were fresh, the broad beans were few but nice, stracciatella and huge amount of garlic. Then I had artichokes, clams and fregola. It was gloup! Thick, horrible lumpy and quite disgusting. The waiter very sweetly asked me if anything was wrong, I did say that I was very heavy and not great. Two of the others had Vitello tonnato which was okayish. My main of lamb with artichokes and even more sickly gloup was tough full of sinews and four tiny pieces, not even big enough for a mouthful. Most of that was left, and a very nice lady asked me if anything was wrong and I pointed out that the lamb was tough and couldn't even be cut. There was cod ordered and pronounced very bland, and beef rib which was also not great. Having said all of that, we didn't make a fuss, but it was made clear in a very polite way that my dishes were not the best. We didn't even receive an apology or acknowledgement that they were sorry that we had had such a poor experience. If they had, that would have been sufficient. Very expensive experience and unfortunately never to be repeated. All four of us said we would not be back.

Enotica Turi has moved fro its Putney High street location to the heart of Pimlico taking over from Tinello. We visited the Putney premises a good few times over the past 20 years and was sorry to see it go and delighted when we saw it was opening in SW3. So we tried it out as soon as we could. They have refurbished it very well and it has a very nice modern decor. There are a couple of round tables that will take six (max) otherwise it is oblong and square. The main feature of the decor are the tremendous acoustics so that it was possible to have a proper conversation at the table all evening with out any difficulty (a first for an Italian Restaurant). The service was excellent throughout. It has a smallish menu but good choices for all courses and interesting pasta which was excellent. The wine comes by the glass bottle or half litre carafe with an additional extensive list of bottles which i did not trouble with. We started with a special of the day 'risotto morel' which was excellent scallops and spagghettini and crab. Main courses Squid and pasta (calamareta) guinea fowl and spaghettini crab as amain course, The food was very nicely presented and the meal flowed well even though the restaurant was very busy. After alittle break we had our puddings, Affagiato, panacotta and ice cream. They were all good although the affagiato was very small. Pana cotta was excellent. The pudding wine Torcaleto was Italy's finest. Excellent non cloying wine. A very nice dinner with Pimlico prices but great ambience.

Enoteca Turi however for us has hit the ground running . The dishes have a true understanding to their terroir with references throughout the menu . Pasta all full flavoured and well executed Potato / Fonduta Cheese Ravioli where top notch , Beef Featherblade on truffled Polenta fab - the highlight was dessert Vanilla Panna Cotta with Amalfi ale on Caramel to die for ! That all said one of the main reasons apart from the food and friendly genuine service is the truly amazing wine list . The list is fantastic with hand picked Italian gems that are hard to find at great value . After years of regular visits at Tinello, my favourite Italian in London, I had to try this place which has taken over the location. And the location is the only thing that slightly improved, they have made it up nicely and created a warmer and brighter atmosphere. Unfortunately that's all that got better. The service is still ok, and the wine we had was very good (the wine list looks good as well), but the food was really disappointing. The Arancini were bland, the risotto was good but not very creamy, but the main courses were a real let down. 27,50£ for a tasteless fish with some burnt salad ?? Neither was the quality of the fish any good, nor was the way they prepared it. This was tinellos special quality, and they are really losing out on this. The beef was not great either, average quality meet with a boring sauce, and a totally taste free polenta (should have truffles somewhere). Feels like an average Putney restaurant that tries to be South Ken now, but pretty much failed in the process... What a pity for Tinello..

We went to this newly opened Italian family restaurant in Pimlico Road with high expectations nod for the most part these expectations were more than fulfilled The restaurant has a high pedigree having gained fame in Putney for many years The restaurant has recently reopened in Pimlico Road in the home of its illustrious predecessor Il Tinelo. The dishes are all based on different regions of Italy and are expertly prepared The wine list is huge! But do not worry, each dish on the menu is paired with a suitable wine chosen by the expert staff. We went with these suggestions and were very happy, The food was of exceptionally high standard My only slight criticism was that my starter ,a rabbit and cauliflower terrine, was rather too chilled I expect that this was because we were amongst the earliest diners on that evening.I believe the restaurant has only been open just over a week but already it is very well patronised and I feel sure that booking well in advance will be necessary. I feel sure that this venture will be a huge success! Not cheap though! But for food and wine of such excellence I came away very very satisfied.

Giuseppi and Pamela Turi's restaurant in Putney was always one of my favourite haunts. Not only was their Northern Italian cuisine imaginative and original, it never failed to be excellent in preparation and taste. On top of that, their wine list was both extensive and highly informative, with Giuseppi's comments accompanying each item. However, it was always a bit of a trek from central London. This week, they opened in Pimlico Road, on the site of the former Tinello. It's an easy walk from Sloane Square and worth visiting. The menu contained a number of contemporary dishes (each marked with the region of origin) I have never seen in an Italian restaurant in London. Despite the change in chef, the quality of the food is still first class. The guinea fowl was perfectly prepared, with a delicious sauce. The service and ambiance were fine, with the Turis always on the scene. An indication of the popularity of Turi is the fact that, during the first week, the restaurant was filled with clients from his former Putney establishment. I am delighted that I now have them in my neighbourhood and intend to visit often.

You don't expect to find One of the finest restaurants in London in Putney High Street - but here is! An unassuming front entrance, tucked away on a street corner - here is a fine dining restaurant we can still get a table pretty easily.Turi worked in top hotels in London as a sommelier and then set up his own place over 20 years ago. The food here is top drawer. My wife and I think this is the best Italian food in London. Regional dishes, specially Tuscan and southern dominate here and for the non meat-eater there are some nice fish dishes too. Quality of ingredients are excellent and the chef knows how to present gastronomic but hearty food. As a wine lover, its also the wine list attracts me too. 250 bins, all Italian bar the champagne and port. The depth and breadth is second-to-none.
