We love to pop in here for breakfast when we are in London. I adore the Turkish tea, and we always order the Mediterranean breakfast - basically a 3 course meal on a plate. It’s fresh, has varied dishes on the plate ( which I love) and it sets you up for the day, without making you feel sluggish. The guys that work there are very friendly, easily approachable and professional. We only manage to go in once or twice a month but they always recognise us with a friendly hello again!

We were there for breakfast on a suggestion of a friend of us. I booked online a week advance and called to be sure If everything is alright a day before. And the day has come we went to the place. After our breakfast during the payment, they said it’s cash only. And I said to the manager you should have mentioned this on your web page. And he just said that ''It is written on the door. This is our choice, If you accept or not I do not care''. The sign on the door was a small post-it note, barely noticeable. And I said ''If we knew this, we could bring some cash with us or we could choose another place to eat and we do not carry any cash with us'' And he again replied with his disrespectful mimics and way of speech and said ''there is an atm machine around the corner, you could go and get the cash'' Basically he just said that he doesn’t give damn of us! And after this conversation there was no apology and no effort to make our experience valued! They did this to everyone in the place. They force people to pay cash! I am not sure how they manage legally paying their corporate tax in the UK! All staff was sullen and definitely it was not a welcoming atmosphere. Yes the breakfast was amazing and delicious. But If you want to be treated disrespectful and devalued, off course you can go there and pay bunch of money. There are lots of Turkish breakfast place in London I will definitely not go there again and not suggest to anyone!

We must have been to Emy’s kitchen at least 15 times over the past 2 years. We spend well and always acknowledge the food with what we pay as discretionary service. The owner lady who manages the tiny kitchen is lovely. The attitude of who I assume is her son has been that of a host who has become rude and arrogant with success though. We had booked our table outside under the tent and made a note on the booking page. The answer was we don’t read any notes, which is fine but when I suggested they don’t put a note box in so that we know to call if there are any special requests was greeted by an annoyed stare by the host. No issues, we sat at our table. Every single time we go to this restaurant we ask that they don’t include three dishes in one of the set menus and instead swap only one. So they save on 3 dishes they don’t include and replace one only. On every single occasion we have been there, this has not been an issue. When the waiter said it wouldn’t be possible, we said this was always possible and asked if he could check with the kitchen. The host came to the table in a really annoyed state and said he had done a favour to us in the past and that it wouldn’t be possible. We do not have an issue with the content, but the attitude was horrific. When I said they were saving by bringing less dishes and that we were paying full price anyway, he pulled the menus from our hands and walked away. I went to where he was standing and expressed how upset I was as we were regular paying customers and to call it a favour and pull the menus off our hands and walk away was rude, he turned around and walked away again. The restaurant was half full, much less busy than usual. It is difficult to put in writing how horrific his attitude, words and body language were, which was very triggering. It appears that success has gone to his head, even with customers like us who travel an hour for breakfast to the venue and then an hour back just for the menu to be pulled from our hands, be told with an arrogant attitude that he was doing us a favour despite the fact that we pay full price and make sure we pay at least 20% for the service. I am same age as his lovely mother who manages the kitchen and nobody, forget about the proprietor of a venue, should be this rude to a customer. I wish the kitchen staff all the best and hope their host’s arrogance, rudeness and entitled behaviour doesn’t cost them further business. I repeat that it was not the content of the discussion, but the host’s behaviour, words and actions that were upsetting for us. We simply would have paid extra if that was his issue and if he had verbalised this.

Having never been in a restaurant like this before I was a little nervous. But I needn’t have been, the service was amazing. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful explaining everything in detail and advising us on what to order. The food is out of this world and very reasonably priced, I have been twice in the last week and on both occasions was given something new to try off the menu at no charge. I have fallen in love with Turkish tea and recommend the Mediterranean breakfast . The chef herself came over and welcomed us to her restaurant. Give this place a go you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t know where to start from. This place has just newly opened and it is without any doubt, the best in North London. The staff are really welcoming and super friendly. The mihlama dish especially is extremely delicious. You can see the traditional string cheese (tel peynir) stretching , which creates a unique scene whilst your experience. The Turkish tea is also really tasty and is prepared from fresh Turkish tea granules. Highly, highly recommended. Keep up the good work guys!!!
