Ely Kebab House & L.A Pizza in Cardiff

Dumb staff who can't take an order on the phone and foods cold and they charge for delivery less than a mile away, just rubbish in general.

Food is hit an miss customer service is 99.9% TERRIBLE! Rude staff who tell you wait a second after answering the phone then take 5 minutes ignoring you regularly get the orders wrong too.

Waited 1.5 hours for food. Once order finally arrived all meals were cold. Opened my kebab to find large black hair on my kebab meat. Chips were like concrete absolutely disgusting. Would never eat here again. Vile 0 star

This is the best shop ever.the portions are very big for the price amazing service and I will defo go again

Placed my order last night 9.24pm, guy was impatient on the phone, said be with you soon. Order arrived at 10.57pm after 4 further phone calls the the store. Was warmish. Asked for discount but said couldn’t reduce it. I ordered a small donner meat on chips with lettuce cucumber, garlic sauce and bbq sauce. It arrived with lettuce (5/6 little slithers) about 3 pieces of cucumber and smothered in chilli sauce. I couldn’t even eat it it was too spicy for me. On my final phone call I lost my temper and shouted and only then did I get an apology. Over an hour and a half I waited for my food. Safe to say I won’t be using them again.

Never gets the order right and when trys to tell them they got it wrong they claim your wrong!! Highly would NOT use this place

Ordered my food and it took well over an hour to come. When it did eventually arrive, the order was not what I asked for over the phone. There was no chips with my meal which was ordered and in the kabab was salad such as onions and green peppers which were not asked for.

I called in and within seconds all the customers had gone, all 4 members of staff looked at me none said hello but carried on with what they were doing and chatting this carried on for some minutes. I finally asked one of the members of staff if this was how they treated their customers by ignoring them,he then proceeded in asking me if I could not see that they are busy, no apology for not acknowledging me. I walked out as thought how I was treated was appalling. I will never be back to be looked at and then ignored and then lectured at

We ordered a Kebab, Chicken Burger and Chips and asked for salad and garlic sauce on Kebab, we asked for a delivery and were told that we would have about a 45min wait. It was a Saturday night so expected to wait a while but after waiting 2 hours we thought it wasn't coming at all. We rang them back to ask if they had forgotten us and said if it Don't come in the next 15mins to cancel the order, after about 10 mins the door went. After waiting all this time the garlic sauce was missed off the Kebab. This is the 2nd time they have missed the sauce off too! We are not at all happy with the delivery service, you are better off going there to see what you are getting and so you don't have a very long wait.

We ordered a home delivery on 30.09.18. The food was an hour late, we phoned twice to find out where our food was and just got told ‘it’ll be there soon’. When the food finally arrived half of it was stale. Moved onto the deserts and the tirimisu was 10 days out of date, as shown in the photo below. When we phone to make them aware, the guy who answered was insisting he couldn’t understand English and kept asking me about ice cream and burgers. We finally spoke to someone else who fully understood the situation but was then only offered £2.50 or 50% off our next order.. I can assure you I’ll never be ordering from them again! I’m absolutely outraged at the lack of customer service.

Ordered chicken this is how it was served to me a box that was taped up cellotape. Inedible! The service is disgusting and food i wouldnt even give a dog! Do not go here!!!

I ordered 2 Kababs mixed Donnor and chicken and a chicken kabab and both were delivered wrong. Very small and incorrect. I rang to inform them and they told me I’m wrong and that that’s what I ordered. Whilst on the phone I got psssed around to 3 different people and had to explain to each person the problem. Finally the manager said they will send a new one out and have been waiting an hour for my new kabab

chilli sauce was added which was not required when I tried to get help the app blocked me when I tried to complain to a human the chat bot was no use from now on its hungryhouse or Uber eats for me .

Fast delivery but honestly the kebab meat was just not nice at all.

I ordered my food at about 22:30 and it said it would be delivered around midnight but turned up at just gone 11pm piping hot aswell I can't fault this place

Meat was quite nice, not much sauce on kebabs so was quite dry. Chips were a bit cold too.

Food tasted good but wasn't hot. Was warm but not hot. However, ordering from kebab house on just eat was disastrous!! Not sure who's fault it is..kebab house or just eats.. but every time you click to put something in your basket, something different goes in! Took ages to order what I wanted. Had to order a chicken tikka kebab to get doner meat and chips.. they need to sort it out Has been like it for months!

Food was cold, soggy and I ended up throwing it in the bin, plus I had a random extra meal? Which also went in the bin

After the restaurant added 30 mins to delivery time we rang to say we'd pick it up, they assured us it would only be about 45 mins or so, it then turned up 45mins after they said it would be 45mins. I also spent 10mins on the phone specifying what sauces to have on 3 kebabs even after choosing what sauces I wanted on the just eat website, the man on the phone was obviously trying to be helpful but after being wrong about the times, the pots of sauces came in wrong amounts he read my order back to me which included a big bottle of coke which they then forgot and the delivery driver got funny when I asked where it was telling me to phone the resteraunt, they then sent the coke but what a nightmare how hard is it to follow instructions?!?

Order came early, but was cold with 2 cold cans in the bag next to the food. Kebab was bland no taste, tiny bit of kebab meat and a few chunks of chicken. Didn't want onions or tomatoes, but they were put on!! Over all, rubbish meal for £18. Won't be ordering again and won't be recommending!!

Beautiful late night kebab. Super quick time too. I can't fault it to be honest, I'll definitely be using them again.

Not a happy person order wrong. 3 hours late cold and the most feeble excuse ever thanks for nothing. I'm now out of pocket because and you won't take responsibility and pay me back .

Food didn't arrive, phoned the kebab house, it was out for delivery, an hour later still no food, just eat customer service was as useful as a chocolate teapot, very disappointed all around as food and service are usually good from this place!

The chips were cold and the sauces and salad were mixed up, a bit worrying considering it may have been for someone with an allergy. Really disappointed, binned two of the meals.

Just eat app told me extra 30mins hour and half later rang shop was told haven't had my order nothing they can do 11.40pm no food rude girl on the phone been ordering here for years last 3orders have got worse and worse until there is no food at all to being delivered never ever again what a shame been going here for over 10 years must be under new management or they just don't care anymore. (((SHOCKING)))

The food was really nice, and a really big portion just delivery time was a little long to wait just for one meal, and kept adding longer to the delivery but apart from that there service and food was really nice

Ordered two kebabs which I stated what sauces I wanted on them and neither had any sauce on so actually put a downer on eating the thing, had too settle for ketchup on mine which is something I'd never ever do, but If the sauces was on there as expected would of been amazing 5 stars.. I understand you may have been busy but you had put the salad on, but no sauce.. baffles me ..

Food was disgusting and we threw the lot in the bin. Chips were cold. The chicken was overcooked, extremely dry and I am pretty sure it wasn't freshly made either, was warm to the touch but cold in the middle. Same for the sausage. They also didn't deliver one of the drinks. Tried to ring 6 times to complain but couldn't get through! Won't be ordering again and would NOT recommend to anyone!!!

There was no garlic sauce on the steak and the tiramisu was still frozen solid.. On the positive side, the mushrooms were lovely.

Been here a few times, staff friendly, food cooked fresh and plenty of it! Handy location, parking can be a bit tricky at peak times. Will be back soon.

Food came late with wrong order food missing rang them was told order be straight over not to worry waited up till 12.30am me n my friend had share her food bcuz it never arrived been ordering from here for years it seems to be gettin worse chips was solid n omlette was marrinated in some typer sauce when i wanted plain wont be ordering from here no more

Paid by card waited almost 2 hours ... for them to turn up with the wrong food, was told another delivery driver was on his way .. then waited another 20 mins to be told they had messed up the order and had now closed and were going to try and sort something... food turned up didn't recieve the drinks ... terrible .. won't be ordering again

We ordered a set meal of chicken and chips with a can and a salad kebab and the meal cake but they had forgotten the salad kebab after waiting even longer still waiting at 12:20 in the evening even though they had said the driver would be knocking the door any minute before 12! ordered delivery, came early which was nice but the dinner meat was far from the best..... otherwise no issues

Never had food. Had notification food had been delivered and when I rang takeaway they said never had order. When rung just eat they said they had order so unsure why take away company hadn't delivered. Very poor service from both parties. Won't be ordering from Ely kebab house and la pizza again.

The food took over 2 hours to arrive - we ended up eating at 10 to 10 on a Tuesday night when we order just after 7.30. Just eat showed that the food was delivered at 10 past 9, it was not! We live 10 minutes away from the shop. I called the shop 30 minutes after we'd had a text to say the food is on it's way, the girl on the phone was unbelievably unhelpful and rude. The food was delicious once we warmed it through in the microwave. The delivery driver was really nice and polite.

Put in wrong address had a phone call n said wouldn't come to address n turned up anyway like a boss. Food was banging to

usually always have great meals from here so we order quite often but last night wasnt so good. we ordered a lot of food with two cokes and a side of sweet mint sauce but these were not delivered only one coke arrived. phoned to ask where it was and all they said was next time you order phone us up and we will deliver it for you then.. not the point tho because we wanted it for our food last night not when we next order.... would have preferred them to just deliver it to us straight away seeing as I had already paid for them. probably won't order again

Mixed up order. We ordered a small minted kebab with salad and sauce, a medium kebab plain nothing on it. When the order came the small kebab was plain and medium kebab had salad on with no sauce. Apart from that the meal was a nice meal.

Took an hour and 15 mins to be delivered, from when i ordered, never usually takes that long .. chips were cold and salad seemed like it has seen better days, meat didn't seem as though it was cooked as much as it usually is. disappointed with this order this time

Vile place avoid at all cost ordered a chicken wrap inside was chicken nuggets the fudge cake was the one you get from Iceland and put in microwave I was told I'd have to put if in microwave myself as if they did it it would arrive cold lol OK your a takeaway I wanted a slice of fudge cake not a slab of frozen cake food was vile the only thing that was OK was the can of coke which wasn't cold vile customer service

Food was ridiculously late, rang up and asked where it was and they said it was on its way, rang back about 25 minutes later to which they then said it had just left.

I have ordered from this take away before and was satisfied with the food and normally enjoy it, I ordered two kebab one for myself and one for my partner, the donner meat my partner ordered looked uncooked and mushy on this occasion, was really not happy with the food and have also took a photo of the under cooked meat that was delivered to us.

Was first given a delivery time of 8.05 which was then pushed back to 8.35 we still hadn't had anything at 8.45 so rang the restaurant to be told it was literally just leaving the shop and would be 5-10 minutes. At 9pm we phoned again to be told again that the driver was just leaving and would be coming straight to us, the food eventually arrived at around 9.30 and when we said we were going to check it was hot, the person who dropped it off told us he didn't work there he'd just gone to pick up his order and they asked him to drop ours off on his way, whether this is true or not I don't know but that's what he told us. Food itself was hot and ok, however the staff were rude and lied to us and I certainly won't be using them again!

Always rely on this place to absorb some of the alcohol I consume every Friday night! Super fast delivery and open until late!

Pedir comida a la mitad 8. 45 - 1 horas dijeron que está bien, los viernes por la noche con destino a estar ocupado. Llamamos el restaurante después de una hora y media para ser mantenido en el teléfono preguntando lo que pedimos porque él no sabía que tenía, aunque mi dirección, etc. Cualquier cómo la comida nos trajeron más de 2 horas más tarde después de un montón de llamadas telefónicas preguntando donde está. Luego olvidaron un kebab, que era una oferta de comida. Así que mis amigos y yo no pude ni comer juntos, llamamos a la sujeción de volver a encontrar que tenía que hacer, así que esperamos para otra hora. Porciones muy pequeñas y estafa. Significaba ser grandes pinchos eran diminutos. Destinado a ser patatas fritas grandes. Era muy pequeña. Ah, y la comida estaba helada. Absoluta pérdida de dinero. La cantidad que pagamos por lo que tuvimos fue una broma. Todavía hambre después!

Absolutely shocking had 2 loads of food delivered (3 hours waiting to get them) cold both times . No refund very angry and will not be ordering from these again . Please be aware of this and read comments carefully. Very very poor

Always used to rate the food here highly until past the few months it's gone down hill...we used to order from here every week such a shame the food is now disgusting and always cold also never arrives on time!

I went here because I love the town of ely and the place makes me yel from the rooftops like mary poppinsI also like the good old industrial estate of ely to but then I do get around buying this and thatKebabs aren't my favourite of food I find them very dry just like the chips so I won't be going here again even with the la pizza combinedThere is a nice council estate in ely so it is a short walk from a friends house to get around ely even to kebab houses and there are regular buses into the city centre for a night out even upto 3am in the morning so Cardiff has the wow factor of towns to live in for bus services and what better place than ely for moving my shopping in and out of the town centre if my car ever breaks down

Waited 1 hour 45 minutes for 2 pizzas & chips, When it finally arrived it was cold and tasteless. The wait wouldn't have bothered me if the food was hot and fresh which it wasn't! Even the Chips were cold and hard. Shame because we order from here regularly but will reconsider next time.

It took 2 hours for the restaurant to deliver a simple order for one. And when I phoned to check where is my order who ever answered was so rude and hang up on me. Totley disgrace. I will never order from this restaurant again.

My food came 1&15mins after ordering and when arrived was cold, ordered 2 meal deals only 1 arrived had to wait a further 45mins to wait for the other meal- but did give 2 fresh meals

Normally Ely kebab house delivers hot food. Tonight I had to reheat my food. Everything was cold.

Nunca juzgar un libro por su cubierta, dice. Para una pequeña toma de la chioce de comida y ofrece es excelente. Visitamos un par de veces y nunca he tenido ninguna queja con la comida. El personal es muy amable y le agregar o quitar si hay algo que desea cambiar a su comida. e. g elegido Variedad de pizza. .

Shop is only around the corner from me the meal turned up cold salad was warmer than the kebab meat.

Best chips I've had in a long time rolly polly was hot and tasty the only thing id change is the portion of chips was just a tad too small but decent all round takeaway
