Elif in Liverpool

Food was on point as always, the staff where very helpful, nothing was too much for them. 5 stars isn’t enough. We even got a couple of pieces of cake for our children on the house as it was too late by the time desert came around. All in all an amazing evening topped Off by the singing of happy birthday by the staff. 10/10

Our table of 3 people ordered chips, to which we were told that they would not be able to serve us if we did not order the main course first. OK, an extra £20, we ordered one, but the waiter said he wasn't sure we could order only one main course, maybe we needed a few, but of course he would check with the manager now! Turkish tea was not real Turkish tea, it looked more like it was brewed a second time.. Disappointed. For the sake of fairness, it should be said that the lamb was perfectly roasted. But never again after such greed, too many impressions for one meal!

Great and high quality food. Do not forget to book beforehand, especially at the weekends.

We had the early bird menu, starter and main £14.95. The food was simple but executed perfectly. The portions are generous; I have a healthy appetite and could not quite finish. The place was packed by 6pm which is an indication of it's popularity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had a very bad experience here , I went with my husband and my kids , we ordered the family mix grill for 4 persons ,the food didn’t meet my expectations, the quantity was way too small for 4 persons , first I thought they served us the wrong order so I asked the waiter if this one for 3 or 4 persons, he said it’s for 4. A waste of £ 71.00 .very disappointing dish , overpriced.

Been here a few times, as I really enjoy the food they do. The aroma hits you before you get to see the meal. The lunchtime 2 course offer is well worth investing in.

Beautiful meal, 2 courses for £15. We had aubergine dip and feta salad, lamb shank and lamb kebab. Outstanding.

Fabulous christmas day lunch at Elif with large family. Food and service as always was so good even though so busy. Can't thank staff enough for all their hard work. Would definately recommend any time of year.

Called in while visiting Liverpool, the waitresses were lovely and friendly. The place was bustling with people and the food was incredible. Well worth a visit.

I wasn’t able to get a booking in the Bond Street branch but thought we would give this a try. It was nowhere near as crammed or busy as Bond Street and was more brightly lit, I appreciated this. I also noticed the menu prices were cheaper than Bond Street and there’s no mandatory service charge. Service was fine also. Unfortunately the food didn’t meet my expectations. The mixed grill portion here is very small. We ordered a mixed grill for 4 people and this seemed the same size as a mixed grill for even 2 people in Bond Street. It came with ONE skewer of kebab to be shared amongst 4 people, this seems excessively miserly and not okay. The taste was also a bit bland and not seasoned as much as I expected. The food quality was fine and better than Turkish restaurants in Manchester but is not comparable to the Bond Street branch and I was still hungry after we had finished! Can’t recommend this place at all unfortunately considering what else is in Liverpool

Great place. Surpringly busy for weekday. Staff were great, very attentive and chatty. Food was superb throughout. Every dish we had was perfect, so fresh and full of flavour. We'll be back again soon

used to like it but am now boycotting it after its sister branch in Bold St doesn't allow solo diners. Greed at its finest. Cram as many tables in as possible and don't even allow prams or wheelchairs. This is definitely not Turkish hospitality as they are family oriented people. This is pure greed. Also the male staff stare uncomfortably at females.

If I could give more star ratings inbound first time here today wow amazing Me and Mt girlfriend opt for the early bird menu 2 course for £15 and wow amazing food was amazing and it's the friendliest restaurant I been in a while u felt relaxed and enjoyed to chit chats u wasn't felt like u had to hurry up and eat food was quick but the quality was amazing im deffo coming again and thank you to all staff they do amazing job friendly and always smiling

Food and service was amazing. I ordered a kebab with hummus as starter they do a two course deal for around £12 so definitely great value for money.

Popped here for Saturday afternoon lunch whilst on break for work. Yet again service and food was impeccable. Had the chickpea and aubergine (think it’s called Iman Bauldi) to start which comes with lots of lovely Turkish bread to mop it up with. I then had a recommendation off the waitress which was Lamb in a type of bread with cheese and came with rice. Portion size was fantastic as was the quality and it also come with a lovely crunchy side salad. £12.95 for 2 course … what’s not to like. Be back soon 👍

My son took me for my birthday meal, I have been there many times and food has always been lovely. I ordered Lamb shank cant tell you how disappointed I was it was tasteless and very soft no texture to it, in a watery tomato sauce, I felt it had been just boiled. The meal my son ordered from the Charcoal grill was delicious (he gave me a taste) so it wasn’t all bad. And the dog enjoyed what I took home! the bone and the meat I didn’t eat.

I enjoyed one of the best meals ever at Elif. The salmon was delicious and the sauce was superb. The server was friendly and efficient. Everything I tasted was perfect. I highly recommend this lovely Turkish barbecue restaurant and will definitely return.

Again great afternoon with family for daughters birthday they have a lunch menu only 13 pound something which we weren't expecting on a Sunday afternoon it was so nice staff atmosphere and price great defo go again it's only smallish but plenty off room atmosphere lovely thank you for a lovely afternoon and for doing daughters cake 🎂

We went for the karisik as the main course, the 4 person option it was off the charcoal menu, it was so Good, the service and all the food was very good, it’s lovely set out you can see the meat being cooked, the tahini and bread and liver and onions good too We will definitely be back

At the start, I used to be the best in Liverpool for Turkish cuisine. Not sure if a change of chef or management. Absolutely not the same at all. The flavour changed substantially. The staff are lovely thought.

Met friends last Tuesday for Dinner, gorgeous Food, well cooked, great Flavours. Service good, atmosphere same. I recommend Sigara Biregei Beyti, Chicken kebab, Spoon salad, all highly recommended, Lovely Elif restaurant run by Berk.

Excellent quality value for money

Got a table for two as a walk-in after waiting. Worth it. The baba ganouche (they call it something else) was extraordinary: the texture of taramasolata with a delicious smoky taste of aubergine. Falafels were not dry and came with delicious hummus. A warm aubergine starter was delicious. Bread was freshly prepared and excellent. The thing here seems to be kebabs and my daughter has a vegetarian version which she enjoyed. My lamb kebabs were slightly over cooked - still juicy (though well done) when they arrived but drying out as you eat them. Maybe they could offer a “medium done” version. The char in the meat was great and I still enjoyed it, served with rice and an excellent side salad. Service was very good and the staff were working at some pace in this packed restaurant. The ambience is super cosmopolitan with many nationalities and languages spoken. It’s a cool place… an option for slightly less well done meat would make it perfect!

be careful with the fake lunch offer, they just want your money. The owner is really unprofessional unless the waiter pretends as the owner. because he doesn’t have the skill to deal with a customer. to be fair food was good but the staff were completely the opposite.

I'm a chef of 20 years experience and rarely feel inclined to write a review or feel impressed enough to bother. Not today. Had a delicious, perfectly cooked meal at elif with my wife. Had the mixed grill (my safe bet when you don't know a place) and she had seabass plus some starters. Everything was delicious, obviously homemade, well seasoned and perfectly cooked on a charcoal grill to a degree you almost never see. Kudos to the chef manning the grill, youre an artist. Generous portions for a good price too. Service was fast and friendly, atmosphere was pleasant, not too busy. All in all a delicious meal I'd happily go out and repeat tomorrow. Definitely the nicest kebab I've had in the UK (and I've had MANY). Not trying to reinvent the wheel but doing what they do very very well indeed. Made a cynical old chef very happy, which isn't an easy feat these days.

We ordered the Tavuk Kanadi, Kalamar, the spiced sausage and the prawns to start. For the main we got the Karisik. Incredible food, great portions, great service. Will be back soon. 10/10

Excellent food... Top quality chicken. Good service Reasonable priced The Haloumi starter, 3 pieces was odd, normally comes in 4 pieces... A little cheeky for the price.

Wow!! Had an absolutely amazing meal in here last week with my 8 year old son. Recommended by the Square tree B and B and was not disappointed It takes a lot for my little one to say he’s full there was plenty of delicious food He had children’s meat balls and rice I had two dishes from the set menu which was so tasty If you are nearby one not to miss

Place was heaving. Food was fantastic. Best feta salad I've ever eaten. Great atmosphere and the 2 course early menu is really good value.

We popped in for lunch after a stroll around Sefton Park, food was delicious and really good value from the lunchtime menu (2 courses for £12.95). Portions were much larger than we expected for the price and the quality was superb. We were serviced by two waitresses who were polite and efficient. If we lived closer, I think we'd quickly become regular diners.

The food was very delicious and flavourful. I enjoyed it and quite a big portion as well. It was a busy night considering it's mother's day but service was acceptable.

Super service, super food, an d very good value for money

This is probably my favourite plate to eat in Liverpool. As well as the staff being friendly and having some great banter.m the food is just insane! I love the fact that you can see it being cooked on the in house BBQ which the meat and bread is cooked on which equates to such a flavoursome dish.

Great food, really delicious and great quality. Just found it really loud with all the people having to shout over one another to be heard at their respective tables.

Brilliant atmosphere - friendly, welcoming and at ease and the food was tasty, nourishing and attractively presented. All at a reasonable price.

We've previously eaten here in Lark Lane and in the city centre branch and had excellent experiences. On this occasion, not so much. The lamb chops were like leather and the two casserole type dishes were very disappointing with chewy lamb and overcooked prawns. The accompanying salad for three of us was tiny and we had to plead for some bread, which on previous visits was given freely. Maybe it is down to the cost of living crisis? But this was a combination of reduced quality and portions combined with rocketing prices. We can tolerate one or the other, but not both.

Everything was good other than the company on the table opposite me - guess I can't blame that on you!

Very rude reservation employees, happened twice I call & book then when we arrive at time I find no reservation or place for us. I drive from outside of liverpool for this disappointment! I don’t like the attitude of most of the waiters there specifically the guy with beard 👎🏻
