Simple but good food which seemed freshly made

A lovely family meal at Elia - friendly service, really nice food, and generous portions. I had the Kleftiko (lamb shank) and it was great. Definitely worth a visit!

Not great. I just returned from Athens where I fell in love with Greek food. The so called Greek food you get here is bogus and poor quality.

A properly fantastic find in an area that didn't seem to be filled with great options. Fabulous friendly and efficient service. Wonderful food, full of flavour and perfectly cooked/presented. Loved the place, the only downside is that I'm not from Woking so unlikely to get to eat here again any time soon.

Phenomenal restaurant with the best Greek food I have ever tasted. So welcoming, very very child friendly and just a general great restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Cant wait until I can go back for more of their delicious food.

You can easily miss this restaurant as quite small along a row of restaurants but it’s well worth a visit. Service is great , food is freshly prepared and very tasty. Good portions reasonably priced. We had a lovely evening

Probably the best restaurant in Woking town. The problem is to decide what to choose from the menu. The moussaka is a great favourite but this time we enjoyed the lemon chicken and sea bream. A busy restaurant at Saturday lunchtime. Service excellent. Fruity Portuguese white wine.

Went for pre theatre .had the 2 course I had calamari OK Moussaka quite dry My partner had meatballs Skewers main We had baklava pudding All very underwhelming. Greek salad nice but for £10 overpriced We love Greek food spend every summer in Greece This meal was overpriced underwhelming. Waitress looked bored Would not return

Very average food. Moussaka was made with courgette, not aubergine as described in the menu. It was defrosted and barely warm in the middle. Portions are generous at least.

Had a lovely lunch here at Elia today! Very friendly service from the waitress and manager 😊 I really enjoyed the spanakopita and the chicken souvlaki aswell as the tzatziki! However I would say the prawns were a tad pricey for the portion size (4 small prawns). Overall I would recommend to others for yummy Greek food.

Good service and excellent food

Absolutely stunning food and had a lovely bottle of wine. Really nice and clean and the staff looked happy and were very nice. My new spot in working for sure. The Stifado was gorgeous 👌🏼

The food was simply delicious 10/10. Will definitely return. A pre show dinner for me and my son along with a bottle of wine. We would have sat and grazed longer had we not a show to go to. The service was quick and pleasant also

Probably the best restaurant in Woking town. Soup , calamary and humous excellent starters. We all had moussaka ...excellent. Portuguese wine and coffees excellent. Service great. Good value too.

Fantastic night out for a leaving party. House white was delicious. Food was amazing. Good quantity, great flavour and good value for money. Would definitely recommend to larger groups that want to share a mixture of things.

We booked Elia for our pre-theatre dinner based on good reviews, however unfortunately our meal wasn’t up to the reviews. For starters we ordered calamari (big portion) and garlic mushroom which were too watery. For mains we ordered sea bass which came with warm new potatoes and cold asparagus and cold tomatoes which was a strange combination. Also the chicken souvlaki was a very large portion. Dessert was disappointing, with the baklava pastry chewy and the lemon tart lacking lemon flavour and ruined by being covered in extra sweet strawberry sauce, it would be better with more lemon and no sauce.

We dropped in at 6.30pm in a Saturday evening without a booking and despite many reservations being in the diary we managed to be given a table. The food was served very promptly and was excellent, no complaints about anything, the souvlaki’s were great and the meze starter was perfect!! Thank you for fitting us in and next time we will definitely reserve a table!!

Lovely Greek restaurant, delicious food and Magda was excellent host!

Food was okay, tasted homemade. The calamari had a texture that I didn't really enjoy, kinda soft and not bouncy, tasted quite bland. I wish there was more seasoning in the Mixed grill set but I guess I can add more salt. The service was a bit cold, maybe the waitress had a long day. In the end it wasn't a bad experience but it's unlikely that I will be back as I wasn't impressed by the food or service.

Had a lovely late lunch here today & really enjoyed it. The poor waitress was rushed off her feet but did well. The food is really tasty especially the Meze which is easily enough for 3 people. The lovely owner chatted to us and the waitress got us a doggy bag for the food we couldn't finish. Highly recommended!

This is my 4th time there, all ingredients are so fresh, staffs were lovely, the whole experience was just wonderful. I felt like I was on a holiday.

It isn’t easy finding good Greek food outside of Greece but Woking has managed to do it. Where as most Greek (eastern med) restaurants rely on taking you back to your holidays in Greece without providing you with the quality of the food, Elia is different class, Reproducing the same care and attention that Greeks or in this csse Albanians give to food to make sure that that will those memories return. The food is authentic as you will ever get in Woking or even Athens, everything as incredibly well cooked and fantastically seasoned with all the flavours of Greece. Add to this the hospitality which is so incredible that you can’t help Falling In love with l. You have a true gem of a restaurant in Woking. So If you craving a replay Of your Greek holiday or you are just fed up of Indian and Italian food. Then please give Elai a try.

We had a lovely evening and a great meal , it was my wife's birthday so we were hoping for a good visit , Food was well cooked by people that can cook ... it was fresh , tasty and well worth the money and also the trip out of the house ... Thank you all for your warm hospitality

Lovely two course meal options available for just over 17 pounds. I had the taramasalata with plenty of pitta bread slices for dipping. I had moussaka for the main which didn't look like a large dish but was very tasty and very filling. Would definitely visit again 😊👍

Having booked over the phone, and it seemed as thou they were abrupt we gave them benefit of the doubt Upon turning up I felt the restaurant was cold The crispy squid was not that crispy possibly frozen The service charge was automatically put on which I was unsure about There is a 2 course meal which we wanted but they refused to swap the stuffed aubergine for stuffed pepper I mean no flexibility there Many places we go and they change or swap an item no problem I don’t think we were respected as customers so in future we will go elsewhere

A lovely restaurant, service was fast and polite, the food selection was limited bit when you do something well, you don't need to do too much! We greatly enjoyed our visit and will recommend them to all our friends in Woking gladly!

Gorgeous little hidden gem in Woking with modern decor and music that reminds you of holiday. The external facade looks low-key and like a cafe but don’t be fooled it is lovely inside. The staff are friendly and quietly attentive. We were served very efficiently and with no fuss or stress. The food is gorgeous. My husband eats meat but I am vegetarian and there was enough choice for us both. We had a mixture of starters and were so full although the main meals looked great too. We will definitely come again.

Dined early (5pm) at the Eliá restaurant in Woking. My two course set menu meal was advertised at £13 something on board outside but charged £17.95 with 10% service charge slapped on. Didn't realise until later when looked at receipt as partner paid. The food was okay with generous portions. Service efficient but oh dear, waitress so taciturn, albeit restaurant not busy, contrasting with a male, perhaps owner/manager, who came over to chat later whilst dining. Calamari rings to start, pork souvlaki for mains (the pork a little tough), partner ate stuffed aubergines (enjoyed) followed by superb sweets, baclava and galactobyreku. Complimentary limoncello appreciated.

Was recommended this place by Bacaro as they had a private event. Great little independent restaurant, the food was excellent. My wife and I don't eat meat which we thought might be an issue with a Greek place but had Sea Bass and Octopus and it was very nice. Service good and had a nice buzz about it even though not too busy (on a rainy Wed lunchtime in Woking, not the most inspiring of towns). We will happily go back for more when next in Woking.

We expected excellence and our expectations were fulfilled. Excellent starters of mushrooms and spiced pork. Great Lamb shank , chicken , moussakas and fish mains. No room for pudding. Service excellent. roomy comfortable restaurant. Fair pricing. Fairly busy. Good wine list.

This place looked nice but always reluctant to enter. One should go to any "authentic food" restaurant out of its country with the lowest expectations. Even my Asian friends that hate non-asian food, really liked this place. Best food I ever had in a non-London restaurant. I never ever had better Mediterranean food. Well done chef.

Lovely little find, good, fresh, authentic Greek food, service perfect, not on you all the time, we were allowed to enjoy our food and chat afterwards without being rushed. The restaurant had a warm feel and wasn't too noisy. Prices reasonable too, highly recommend the platter!

The food was fantastic, We had the 2 course meal, calamari starter and sea bass and chicken lemonata mains, which I can highly recommend. Taking the staff shortage into account the experience was pleasant and an enjoyable lunch.

Got just the perfect spot outside. Not such a huge fan of hummus but this one was yummy- it hit the right spots. Ilena (hopefully I got the spelling right) was super warm and professional. The portion can be better though. In all, it was a great experience and I’d come again soon.

Lovely Greek restaurant with some traditional and flavourful Greek dishes. Well sized proportions too. The souvlaki was spot on, with a lovely salad and an amazing tzatziki. The moussaka was also first class! Service was good too.

Have been twice this month for a first class lunch. The exceptional standard in maintained. The calamari is the best ever...and try the white Portuguese wine. No discernible weaknesses. Portions substantial.

I had a beautiful lamb dish, lovely bread and humous to start and delicious Bulgarian red wine. Service was very good and atmosphere was great.

Popped in for Moussaka and glass of house red. Excellent ingredients ,cooking and service. Deserves more support at weekday lunch time. Competitive pricing.

Fantastic meal and great service.

Delicious food, ordered Mezze platter for 2, hot and cold starters. Would have been nicer if both platters (hot & cold) had been served at the same time, but other than that, we were still feeling full after all the delicious food! If you order baklava, you get a very large slice + ice cream. One of the better restaurants in Woking.

The food was amazing! Freshly cooked and excellent service. The portion sizes were huge and we were so stuffed but it balanced well so we were able to handle it. For starters I had the calamari and soup and mains seabass which was just sublime.

I went to eat for the second time today, everything was fine until I decided to order the best dessert in the world or "baklava" and it was the most horrible choice in my life, I have never eaten such a lousy baklava in all my life.
