A wonderful little find just outside the city centre. Superb home cooked food and a great homely welcome. Well worth a visit. Great coffee two. Highly recommend.

So we stumbled across this place a few weeks back after some work colleagues said it’s great, …. It’s not great. It’s superb. I can’t praise the team who own this place enough. Local produce. Cooked to order, and outstanding value. We are absolutely chuffed to spend our mornings off work eating and being catered for by this team. ! Well done guys. It’s a small intimate place so book or be patient. As it’s worth it. Ps the mushrooms on toast is outstanding (my personal fave) The full English is cooked to perfection. :) You have yourself two new regulars :)

Wow what can I say this well run wonderful cafe makes fantastic freshly cooked food . The lovely Anna prepares and cooks all the food fresh . Nothing is too much trouble . High quality produce served and cooked with a beautiful smile . Thank you we will be back .

Went for breakfast with my brother Service was very good and the breakfast also. Maybe the mug of tea should be in the price of a full breakfast, but saying that I am splitting hairs. Lovely staff.

Absolutely 5 stars! What a wonderful breakfast. Went with friends to celebrate my 50th birthday after a night out the previous night🤩. The food was amazing and staff fabulously welcoming.

Heard nothing but amazing things about the breakfasts. No.1 in lincoln according to Trip Advisor so I had to go see for myself. The results are in and I can confirm that all the plaudits are well deserved. An absolutely stunning full english. Everything was superb and I even got the bacon a little crispy just how I like it 😉. Gotta mention the mushrooms too as am not a huge lover of them but these were amazing. They had a little seasoning on them that really elevated them above just shrooms banged on a plate as filler. Big shout out to the staff who were nothing but fantastic throughout our visit. It was very, very busy so for this level of food to be constantly knocked out the park was truly amazing. People of Lincoln (and beyond) this little gem is 100% worth a visit without a doubt. You will not be disappointed Already thinking about my next visit!

There’s a reason they are no. 1! The staff are so friendly and warming, the aesthetics are cosy and cute and the food is outstanding. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast in Lincoln.

Just popped in for the first time to grab some breakfast rolls to take away and can’t recommend this place enough - can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try it! Lovely staff warned us about the wait when we arrived and it was most definitely worth it, absolutely massive breakfast roll with lovely iced coffee, and such good value for money! My boyfriend and I will most definitely be back - I need to try the mushrooms on toast as they looked amazing!! Customer service and food both 5 stars - thank you :)

First visit to Oakleys and we was bit disappointed. Lovely friendly attentive staff: My wife opted for flat white and Mediterranean salad (olives, mozzarella cheese, Italian ham, salad etc) huge portion and presented so nice. I went for chicken and bacon salad and cappuccino. Both salads came with delicious heritage tomatoes they tasted so sweet nice to hear grown locally by a customer. The food tasted delicious, big portions and such good value. Reminded me of the great tasting salads abroad can’t wait to go back.

I had seen a few posts on social media and had to try Oakley for the first time… I was not disappointed! It’s better to book in as it gets incredibly busy and you’ll be lucky to get in on a walk in, I don’t know how we quite managed it! The staff are lovely and the breakfast was amazing, great quality food and service all round. Thank you!

We visited midweek to kick off my husbands 30th birthday with a tasty breakfast. We chose Oakleys as it currently comes up at no 1 for breakfast on trip advisor. It didn't disappoint. Upon arrival the staff we friendly and welcoming, always a good start! The cafe itself is very small and intimate, probably 3/4 tables max. We both ordered a full English and a cappuccino. The coffee was delicious!! The food took a little while to come out as they were preparing multiple take away orders and everything is cooked fresh to order, but they were apologetic and we were in no rush happy to enjoy our coffee and chat. The food was excellent, well cooked, generous and tasty! No nasty cheap bacon and sausages here. We were the only customers in and the waitress/chef happily chatted and played with our baby who was getting a little grumpy whilst we finished our food. All in all a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back again to try pizza night!

Three of us visited for breakfast. The food was all freshly cooked and excellent. The staff were very welcoming, even giving us samples of bread they were baking. I was particularly impressed by how helpful and kind they were to someone who was less mobile. No hesitation in recommending.

Called in today and 3 of us had a ciabatta/panini. They were delicious. They were made freshly as we waited with lovely fresh ingredients. Delicious coffee and all served with a warm welcome.

Although they were burnt around part of the crust, we enjoyed our veggie pizzas which were very tasty and we were able to swop the cheese for some green and black olives. Service was okay, atmosphere was convivial and it was great being able to bring our own vegan friendly wine.

Breakfast here twice while on our first visit to Lincoln. Lovely, friendly staff. Both cooked breakfasts (Piccolo and Grande) were exceptional value for money and everything superbly cooked to order. Nothing kept warm and presented as freshly cooked. If ever in Lincoln again would be sure to visit.

I've been a regular at this gem of an eatery in the West End of Lincoln for many years. Elena and Franco made it a lovely oasis for anything from delicious coffee to a top quality dining experience. When they retired recently, we all faced the changes with trepidation. We need not have worried, Cara the new owner has recognised that she has inherited an iconic venue and has thrown herself into carrying on the tradition with a great welcome and the same high standard food. I am pretty much a regular at Elena's Kitchen now! The cafe' is small and homely which offers great opportunities to meet new people. Elena and her husband Franco are always extremely accommodating and I always feel part of the family whenever I visit. Lovely couple, lovely cafe' and beautiful food, what more could you ask?

Another memorable night of delicious, fresh and flavoursome vegan pizzas, full bodied Italian wine, the fine company of Elena, Franco & Steve and the usual inviting and intimate atmosphere. Cin cin!

I recently had the pleasure of eating breakfast in this gem. Visited Lincoln for the weekend. Ellena was very accommodating of our wee dog. Enjoyed perfect poached eggs on toast and my fiancé had both the large breakfast bap and pancakes to follow. Coffee was Italian at its best. I am a regular customer of Elena's Kitchen since 2014. I am an Italian and therefore am used to eating the pizzas of excellent quality I can find in my homeland: the pizzas prepared in this restaurant are really among the best ones I ever tasted in the world. They prepare them on Fridays in the evening from 05.30 pm to 08.30 pm.

My girlfriend and I have visited Elenas several times over the year, bringing friends if we can for the infamous pizza night and are never disappointed. Elena and Franco are such welcoming people and to dine here is always a treat. It's also BYOB, which is s great plus point. We again visited for our staff Xmas party (see my previous review) and everything was top notch, and extremely filling. Thanks again Elena and Franco. See you soon.

Decided to visit as wanted a quick bite to eat somewhere we haven't tried before. My friend and I had the full english (I wanted a smaller version) the produce and care taken in cooking it were superb. The smaller version was only a pound cheaper; wish I'd paid another pound as I could've managed a bigger one in the end! My other half really fancied pasta carbonara, which was not on the lunch time menu (although I think they serve this on an evening), but this was no problem what so ever. The very kind lady owner said she could quickly make the dish for him if that's what he wanted...and it tasted beautiful! Nothing was too much trouble and the food was fantastic. Will certainly be back in the near future and wont hesitate to recommend

I visited here with my partner and some friends on their recommendation so expectations were high. From the outside it just looks like a normal cafe, but as soon as we walked in Elena was very welcoming and asked us if our table was ok for us. The feel was casual and relaxed. Menus waiting on the table, starters consisted of a meat and cheese platter with salad or garlic bread. Mains were pizza, all were tasty sounding. We ordered the meat and cheese platter to share and a pizza each. The kitchen has no alcohol license so you have to bring your own which is an added bonus. Elena popped over a few times to see if things were ok, would recommend!

Fab veggie breakfast, lovely clean cafe and great service. Nice Veggie sausages, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, beans and toast for a fiver! Can't go wrong 😁

We are so annoyed that we haven't visited sooner! We had lunch and everything was lovely. Their was an extremely lively political debate happening which made for great entertainment. I would recommend this cafe for anyone wanting a pleasant lunch, accompanied by a friendly atmosphere.

Having enjoyed Elena's food previously, we again asked her to provide a buffet lunch for visitors to our office. Elena again delivered a range of sandwiches, various savouries (including garlic mushrooms with ciabatta) and some delicious home-made scones with jam & cream. Even the "special requests" for various dietary requirements were covered! Everybody really enjoyed the food & commented on the appropriate presentation. The boss was also happy that the bill was so reasonable able for such good quality food & service. Highly recommend to anyone in Lincoln wanting some lunchtime catering delivered with a smile.

By day time this is a small cafe but early evening head along for the best authentic pizzas to be had in Lincoln. Tiny place that only seats 15 so get there early or be prepared to stand around for a bit.Elena and Franco are a great couple who love to look after you. However on this particular occasion we booked out the whole cafe/restaurant for our works xmas party, and again there was no disappointment here. Four course menu was put together for us all. The food was fantastic, plentiful, very genuine, and made with local produce. A big thing about this place is the owners who are extremely accommodating, friendly and fun. The place is small with only a few tables and no worse for it, it creates a great atmosphere. The fact that it is BYOB here with no corkage, only adds to the draw of this great restaurant. Will be visiting for pizza night again soon.

Ellen's kitchen is my favourite place for breakfast in Lincoln, being veggie its always hard to find a nice filling breakfast but Elena always makes it exactly how I like it, the coffee is incredible too. Every time I've been in we've also got delicious free cake, the carrot cake is to die for! Couldn't recommend highly enough, such lovely people who own it too, thank you a million times elena! :)
