Electric Bakery in South Ayrshire

Sad to hear what was simply the best bakers in the whole world, never mind the uk has closed its doors for the last time. They had the most amazing selection of original recipe cakes and biscuits which will now be lost forever. It was in a class above all others !

PRESTWICK SHOP NEEDS TO BE VISITED BY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. Will be notifing them of my findings/experience. Disgusting Hygiene Practices. Boak!!! On Saturday morning the Lady served people by lifting cakes by hand then handling cash then onto next customer and did exactly same. When it became my turn to be served I walked out after making my views known. Real shame they have no idea of how to practice safe standard hygiene practices as the cakes are all lovely, only let down by the staff.

Love the electric bakery but on this occasion i was very unimpressed got a couple of cakes and pies and the woman that served me served a customer before me the paid cash and several notes and loose change were exchanged and she touched my food with her hands straight after without even using hand gel or washing her hands if this is the case why don’t you use a utensil to pick up the food and stop the spread of germs 😞

Great range of baked goods at a good price. The onion pies and bridies are gorgeous. Good doughnuts too.

Cracking wee old style bakers with all your old favourite foods not like some of your chain shops but be early as they sell out early. The staff are ladies who have been there for a few years & have that natural charm of someone who loves their jobs. My wife has the sweet tooth & buys more cakes than she needs im more savoury yip you guessed I eat all the pies...lol

Best bakery in town 100 times better than greggs will definitely recommend this bakery to anyone who loves a pie or a cake

Visited Electric Bakery to enquire if they done birthday cakes shop closes at 3pm the now this was 2.55 just peeked head in door to be shouted at that they were closed I said it was just an enquiry to be shouted at again that they were closed as she walked thru the back totally ignoring me Not long moved to Ayr and would probably have used bakery regular but not now and definitely would recommend with that attitude

Traditional bakers.excellent bread,scones,cakes and oatcakes. Meat pies really good.pleasant shop girls.

First time ordering a celebration cake - could not be happier - was a joint birthday cake. Exactly as requested and the artistry was great. Joy to eat. Would buy there again

We have tried all the Ayr bakeries and Electric Bakery is head and shoulders better than the others. Town store has great selection, wholemeal bread and oatcakes are scummy. Cakes are irresistible.

We were in today and ordered sausage a onion and bacon and tattie scone rolls, the sausage tasted as though it was off, and the bacon was reheated to the point it was like chewing rubber. They might be able to make cakes but their hot food takeaway leaves a lot to be desired.

We found this bakery while walking through Ayr in the morning.The assistants were very friendly and helpful.They had a wide choice of sweet cakes including a delicious pineapple cream. The German biscuit had a shortbread texture while not being too sweet.The cakes came in the usual white box but they taped the side down which is a good idea.There was a special on the savoury scotch pies so we had several and they were delicious and really full of meat (see photo).

This is a small bakers shop which sell without doubt the best scotch pies ever, also first rate cakes and biscuits, when in town I always pop in for some provisions, don't miss visiting this old established bakers shop.

Esta es una buena panadería antiguo con altos estándares. Una buena selección de pasteles, tartas y pasteles. Tienen una buena oferta de comida para llevar, que es muy razonable y muy buena competatively relación calidad-precio. Sus tartas de gelatina de fresa para tuberías es la mejor repostería y venden conchas muy bueno que puedes usar para tartas de fresa. Lo recomiendo sin duda.

After 30 years today I visited the electric bakery in Prestwick nr. Ayr Not only are they good employers as I met a lady who still works there since I lived there 30 years agoEverything this bakers sell in all David murray's shops is delicious and with all my travel I have yet to find a bakers shop to come near it for taste, portion size, freshness, and a real home made taste. I am definately not leaving it long to go back and this time I will be stocking up my freezer. Top marks

Pequeña bakery con horno propio que prepara unos productos espectacularmente buenos. Recomiendo los donuts y las galletas.

This is the place in Ayr for quality cakes. Just off the main street and always busy. Only 4 out of 5 as they always run out of their fabulous pineapple cakes!

We visited this bakery at the suggestion of our cab driver. It was very close to the venue where our meetings were being held. We discovered it on our last day and were sorry that we did not find it sooner. The pastry was excellent, fresh and reasonably priced. The lovely lady helping us accommodated my husband with some plain coffee, just what he wanted. It is all take away but there are benches nearby to sit and enjoy. We will stop here again when in Ayr.

Stayed previous night in Girvan and travelling up to Ardrossan for the ferry to Arran.Stopped at Ayr and found this great bakery just off the main street.Great selection to choose from and great service.

Most times I visit this bakery is when I'm at work we park our works truck and go into yummy mode, if I don't bring something to eat for lunch this bakery does nicely good food plenty of it and very good prices in fact we all that is the lads and myself usually spoil ourselves a little bit with a wee cake for afters, nice place nice staff nice prices. I personally enjoy the breakfast rolls and the macaroni and the coffee is not bad either.

This is a hidden gem! I visited the bakery every time I visit from England. Look forward to every visit! I recommend everyone who appreciates amazing cakes and baked sweet things, visit this bakery, you won't regret it!

This is a lovely wee bakery of the Main Street wonderful window display.. Love the name, should check it out..👍You could miss it as its up wee road
