Food was sensational variety of food is huge very well priced. The service and attention of the staff was second to none particularly Beth who was fantastic at giving guidance on dishes and extremely friendly and chatty Overall amazing experience will be back again 100%

This was a planned meal with old friends. In a friendly and unhurried greeting we were seated and given menus and shortly afterwards our drinks order was taken and delivered. There's a huge selection on offer and we All found it hard to choose due to them all sounding exceptional. We settled on a variety of tapas including on halloumi, prk ribs, chicken wings, patatas Aloili, squid rings, king prawns and creamy Stilton mushrooms. The food came out in good time and we all agreed it was well cooked and delicious food. The staff were attentive and unobtrusive, the maitre’d was exceptional in his graciousness and helpfulness. A great night out. Good food, good service, and great atmosphere. Recommend.

Overall bad, Food: I ordered steak, came looking boiled rather than grilled/panfried. Ribs still have the rib lining making it very chewy and inedible. Seafood not remotely fresh. under seasoned everything . Atmosphere bad, mold coming in through the walls besides the tables. Quiet servers can barely hear, approaching scared for some reason. If you want to go for a quick bite sure maybe although hard to find something nice. If for a celebration i’d stay away. overall 3.5/10

we went for a friends birthday. All the staff were lovely. we had beth, kirsten, eron and suhel and they were all so nice and attentive the whole time even though we had a large table. Would definitely go again. thank you guys ! :)

Lovely tapas. All dishes were tasty & well presented. Service good. Atmosphere was lacking as it was a quiet lunchtime but I'd go again for the food!

Just want to say I was really disappointed with my experience yesterday. The place was freezing and when I popped to the loo the food had been delivered to the table and waitress had spilt piri piri sauce over my brand new and expensive lining of my coat! The waitress pretended not to see but my horrified friends pointed it out to her, there was no apology just brought some anti bac spray!!!!! I came back and said that the spray would also damage my coat could I have hot water and a sponge… she laughed and said the sponge would be dirtier than my now very dirty coat !!! Brought a piece of tissue. Not once did I receive an apology nor to check if my coat was ruined. Accidents like spills happen but to not even come and speak to me about it was awful! I privately messaged the restaurant on Facebook and no reply either which has made my decision to put this review up. Never would I ever go back!

my husband surprised me with this restaurant and omg it was gorgeous food served perfectly my pallet was busting with the all the flavours of all the Spanish food will definitely will be returning very friendly staff and my husband complicated the chef

somewhat disappointed that the calamari and prawns were over cooked and very chewy/rubbery. also somewhat disappointed that the prawns were not seasoned. in fact I'd say the prawns and sauce are cooked separately, the sauce is placed in the serving dish and the prawns are just placed on top? the bread and olives were probably the highlight. I'm inclined to give it another go in the future, but it may be some time before I try it again.

Amazing place definitely come back

We were recommended El Toro by a family member and we chose it for a special family and friends birthday celebration. We were not disappointed. The staff we so Incredibly helpful and obliging to us. Service was great and the food was excellent. So impressed and we will definitely be returning another time. Well done El Toro and thank you so much

Great atmosphere, lovely staff. All you can eat tapas 4-9 mon-fri is great! Such a bargain and around £25 each. The quality of the food itself is 3/5 but nevertheless it was tasty and exciting to get so many little plates for dinner for the price we paid. Complementary olives and bread offered and if you want more the staff are happy to oblige.

My family of 5 recently celebrated GCSE and ALevel result’s here. The food was lovely and so was the service. We went on a Sunday and had the all you can eat tapas. The alcoholic Sangria was lovely, nicer than the non-alcoholic version.

First time at this restaurant and it won't be the last. Great place wonderful food great service would recommend this place to anyone seven of us ate six with the all you can eat and one from the main menu All enjoyed the food and the atmosphere prices match the whole experiance. Value

Really good quality food, everything had a good level of flavour and service was excellent. All you can eat menu offered a lot of variety and good for vegans/vegetarians too with many options to choose from. Only improvement is the patatas bravas needed to be a bit crispier and the bravas sauce needed slightly more spice but other than that is was brilliant!

Eight of us went for a family get together. Excellent service, lovely food, good atmosphere though a bit quiet being mid week. Will certainly go back.

The pork belly is a 10/10, I'd just go back, just for them. Staff are lovely and recommend how many portions we should have, the food is amazing.

2nd visit. Great service, food and atmosphere along with great value. We've tried many restaurants one or two excellent but in here it's more relaxed, like being on holiday.

my daughter and her partner visited here before and chose again for her graduation meal. The food was delicious and good quality. Very authentic spanish tapas. Service was great especially from one waitress who gave my grandaughter biscuits and had a little dance with her at the end. My daughter had a wonderful graduation meal. It was perfect. Thank you.

We enjoyed the all you can eat tapas offer here. It's great to share all the dishes and try something that you might normally not be confident to order. There is plenty of choice, though a few of the dishes I wouldn't order again. This is, of course, personal preference. The service was very good, I found the music too loud and intrusive - but I tend to find this everywhere I go, so maybe it's me!

Had an absolutely lovely meal with friends there this weekend. Our server Beth was absolutely lovely, really friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was perfect for such a hot day! Food was delicious and we will definitely be back 😊

Last minute stop off, great food!

We didn't have the best experience as a family. Firstly, we arrived on time but waited a long while until the order for drinks was taken. Olives and bread was a long time coming too. We'd been there over three quarters of an hour at least before our tapas actually arrived. Most of the dishes arrived OK, but some were missing or duplicated and if there was a problem with one, it took a long time being fixed. We waited a long time for subsequent courses to arrive too. Food was OK. The chicken croquettes were just like mashed potato. I'm not sure there was chicken it it, there was no meaty texture and the white fish was hardly cooked with the batter being soft and fish watery. The lemon wedges were dry, no juice came out when squeezed, but the prawns were huge and tasty. One thing I didn't like was the chairs, they were so heavy and not easy to move into place after taking a seat, also some table positions weren't great. I wouldn't go again, it was too expensive, too much hassle with wrong orders and not an enjoyable venu to sit, tbh.

They came out in good time and all 4 if us agreed it was all delicious. We asked for a basket of bread after to mop up all the lovely dips and sauces they came with. Also the 2 cocktails for £12 was a steal. We will most definitely be visiting again when we are in Hull again!!! P.s the staff were brilliant too 👏

The absolute worst in service and the food ain't even that good. Ordered 6 tapas for delivery. Only got 3. Called the restaurant who said that they were aware that I paid for 6 but still only sent 3. Nobody bothered to call to check what had happened. They were happy to get paid for 6 items and only deliver 3 items. Called the restaurant and spoke to Beth whose customer service is absolutely shocking. Got and attitude and started raising her voice. Asked how we could rwolve th issue and she kept on saying how it's not their fault, that the fault is with Just eat and I need to sort it out with them. Waiting for manager to call me in the meantime food is getting cold and we are all here wondering if/when the rest of our food is gonna come. Horrendous service.

Our first visit to this restaurant after visiting many of its neighbours over the years. We had booked online but it was less half full on the Thursday night we visited. On non-weekend nights you have the option of a la carte and an all you can eat option. We chose the latter to assess a larger range of their dishes - it’s about £22 for this option. You chose 3 dishes to begin with (there are approx 30 available) then 2 at a time until you’ve had enough. We had 9 plates each (most were small so we weren’t being particularly greedy!). We had a selection of meat, vegetable and fish plates. This is very much a quantity rather than quality way to eat - everything was average and most didn’t feel freshly prepared. To be fair though £2.50per plate was never going to be great food so value was pretty good. Personally I would have been happy to pay more and have fresher food. So for us it was an OK evening but not good enough to want to return.

Fantastic food, really nice place to eat. Being Tapas I was expecting to have dishes brought out as ready but all came together, not a bad thing but did mean we were in and out in an hour without being rushed.

It was nice and quiet when we went. The food is excellent and the service good. Ambience is great, and the restaurant is really well maintained. I know tapas quantities can vary, 6 portions should be enough to feed 2 here though.

Shocked by how many good reviews there are, this was one of the worst meals of my life. The prices are crazy for the food, I paid £10 for a salad which was just lettuce. We spent around £20-30 on food and it was very low quality. Do not reccomend

Seabass Dish with Spanish Traditional Rice and Vegetable is just awesome. Gambas Pil Pil is also amazing. We will visit again taste this amazing food.

Staff could not understand when you ordered the food as it says on menu and ask us to order by number

The service was awful. We had to ask the waiter to come take a drinks order as he was just stood in the middle of the room not interacting with anyone. The tapas food prices were expensive for the small portions provided as it was not the “all you can eat night”. After one round of drinks we left as the service was purely off putting.

No all you can eat menu...just over rated

Great food, wonderful service, fantastic atmosphere. Went here to an evening dinner with some work friends and ended up taking the all-you-can-eat menu it was fantastic. There are 30 dishes to choose from and the service did a great job of coming back to our table at regular intervals to take out order for the next set of dishes. I think we had 5 rounds of food before we threw the towel in. I will definitely visit again in the near future.

Really good again but prices seem to have risen quite a bit since last visit. However we did have the all you can eat Xmas menu & it was all delicious with plenty of choice including veggie.

Very good value for money but the food is just alright. Never blown away, seems very popular though so maybe I’m the one in the wrong! The all you can eat is perfect for big appetites over actual enjoyment of the food.

It got five stars for everything because it was deserved and we enjoyed. Our waitress was amazing and was very pleasant and funny, she definitely added to the experience. Decided to go to El Toro as I was missing the taste of Spanish tapas food and I was having a night away so thought I'd treat myself. When we arrived we were seated by the window next to a table with around 8 incredibly noisy people.... Seriously shouting and screaming. I couldn't hear the waitress and couldn't hear my partner over the table, the service was slow. It took a while for anyone to come take the order and they also forgot my partner's drink for a while. Eventually they brought over his mango mojito and it didn't taste of mango. Much of the food was overly spicy and the ones that weren't were flavourless. We had been given the all you can eat menu and not a standard one... We weren't incredibly hungry but had to pay near enough £22 for 3 tapas. (given most places charge £5-6 per dish, £15-£18 was the amount of food we ate and had to spend the extra. We weren't offered a single price menu. The sangria was weird. In Spain and even the usual tapas place I did use, the sangria was never fizzy but this was? And didn't taste very much of alcohol, more like a fizzy vimto or something. The overall bill came out to just over £70 and I left rather unsatisfied. Unfortunately I won't be going to any other El Toro restaurants.

1st time here for a birthday celebration, and what an evening we had.. All the front of house staff were super polite, attentive and highly proffesional. The menu catered for every taste and had a good gluten free and vegetarian choice on offer too. The food that we received was without doubt some of the tastiest, well cooked and presented food on offer today in most eateries in Hull. Compliments to the chef or chefs in El Torros for a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend if you haven't been and we shall definitely return..

Great place to eat, we took the family and the food was very nice. All you can eat so you can't really go wrong. Beer was pricey but no more than any other restaurants really. All seafood was cooked perfectly.

Really poor food. £90 for 4 of us. Was only table in the restaurant and it was still shocking, didn’t enjoy at all. Especially at that price.

Staff couldn't be more helpful.

Food was excellent except one dish, the waitress handled the comment professionally and compensated us very fairly. The dishes we had other than that one, were fantastic. Will certainly return. Recommend this restaurant.
