Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed it and lovely bunch of people. Sorry to hear it won't be reopening again.

I've never really had Mexican Food, but if all Mexican food is as delicious as that which is served here I want more. Great food, fair prices and loads of options available.

Great flavours, friendly staff and great cocktails in a chilled out space with outdoor and indoor seating. Popular for a reason!

Chipotle pork burrito with everything: like a flavour-baby swaddled in foil. Less portable than many burritos, but no less enjoyable for this. Everywhere I went on this bad boy was delicious. And chicken nachos that almost defeated my voracious son? Hilarious. Very expensive (we got 3 small portions of chips with coleslaw that came to £24 alone!) they were tasty, but terrible value for money. £24 should really get one bottomless chips, surely? Open kitchen, engaging knowledgable staff, we left bankrupt but sated, so it’s a Si from Me!

Although the queue was super long, the orders are turned around quickly and the food is well worth the wait. Fab!!!

Don't have any photos but really enjoyed the food. You can order snacks and drinks from a QR code on the table if you can get one and then order main food at the till. Card payments and cash are accepted.

Brilliant quick dinner and cheeky frozen margarita before going back to the beach. Small but perfect menu, tacos were delicious, and kids enjoyed chips and dips and the quesadillas. Lovely atmosphere, highly recommended!

Good menu, choice but not overwhelming. Online ordering is not currently working and there was a long line (40 minutes). Worth the wait bit be prepared for it to be busy.

Great Mexican, really authentic and absolutely delicious.

I went to try a veggie burrito on the back of reading all the positive reviews. Maybe I caught them on a bad night but the burrito was very watery and bland - I had three bites and chose to leave it - it was very disappointing, it did not reflect great Mexican food and not worth the £7.

Stunning, fresh food always here. The Staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is always superb and tasty. Lucky to have them jn town!

Great food freshly prepared and very tasty

I'll be dreaming about those chicken tacos for days to come. The tomatilo salsa is something I could drink from a glass. From the outside it doesn't look fancy but they are cooking some fantastic food inside.

Always fabulous food freshly prepared. Love that we can order beforehand. Impressed by the very relaxed environment even when they are super busy which shows they have a great team in place

Omg these as THE BEST tacos I’ve ever had!! I grew up in Arizona so I am well versed when it comes to Mexican food and this was absolutely spot on!! Only thing I was gutted about was that they were closed for their staff break the day after we tried the restaurant as we 100% wanted to go back!! Must try if you’re in Cardigan! Can’t wait to come back next year :D

I arrived and waited in line for a takeaway order which was considered a ‘walk-in. There were so many fantastic things to choose from from the mains right down to the sauces and side orders. I also loved that I could choose a margarita or elderflower cocktail in a to- go mason jar with lid. The service was spot on and friendly. I couldn’t wait to take my food and drink to a local beach and sample the wonderful ness. The order did not disappoint. So many complex yet complementary flavors to savour. It was fresh, gourmet yet felt that I just been provided a slice of heaven from an authentic Mexican auntie kitchen. So special to have such a treat on holiday to celebrate my Nino’s 15th birthday. Thank you! We will look forward to coming again.

This place is a real gem, arrived in the area knackered and stumbled upon this place. Really great authentic food, friendly staff, fast service - we had to stop ourselves going back every night of the holiday !

Never visited before, but met up with my son/future daughter-in-law for an evening meal. Plenty of menu choice, something for everyone. The only cloud on the horizon being no toilet facilities, was directed to a single portaloo behind their car park, which was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, with the flushing water smelling worse than the portaloo itself. It spoilt an otherwise perfect evening. (Come on people, your letting yourselves down, get some toilet facilities sorted)

Absolutely fantastic. We were on holiday in Cardigan for a week, and had planned where we were eating out. El Salsa was on the list for Thursday. We had the burrito and loaded nachos (both chipotle pork). We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night, changing our plans. The burritos are the best I've ever had. Their margaritas are also very good. The staff are really friendly. Their online ordering system is really handy, as you can pre order and turn up. This really speeds up your order. Just remember to pay for parking if you're going to be there more than 15 minutes.

A definite must if you're in the area. Really good pre ordering system and quick service. We had pulled pork burritos and tacos. The salsa was proper freshly made and so was the guacamole. Wish we lived nearby so we could eat this food more often.

What a little gem of a place! The people were amazing and so accommodating, the setting was fab and oh my gosh the food was so incredibly tasty! If you are visiting cardigan you must visit! We ended up getting ours to take away and we drove up to a look out spot so we could look out across poppit sands! Amazing!

Saw this place recommended when researching the area on Facebook, went in August 21, is only open On certain days of the week and online ordering recommended as they give you a time slot to pickup. There are tables outside but no seating guaranteed, we were fortunate when we picked up there were tables free. Burritos are amazing and although initially was not going to order the loaded chips I am sure glad we did the toppings were fantastic. Thank you El Salsa. Ps staff were really friendly too.

We discovered this hidden gem in a none-too glamorous part of Cardigan but it couldn’t have been better. This is street food served at its best. No frills, nothing fancy - just cracking food. We got a diddy black table and stools out the front - perfect for our two young girls. Pulled pork, overflowing wraps and nachos with fantastic guacamole all washed down with a couple of beers. A busy buzzy place that deserves every success.

We've visited the Cardigan area two years in a row and had to go back to El Salsa on our visit this year. Brilliantly organised with taking orders online and quick and easy pick up. All food has clearly been freshly prepared and can't be beaten. Delicious!

The service is quick, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is ace. I had a jack fruit burrito, others in my party had a chipotle pork wrap and chicken fajita burrito. Absolutely lovely!

El salsa is my go to when in Cardigan. The staff are friendly and helpful; their service is fast and efficient. There is a good atmosphere and I appreciate the chilled out music. Food is on the more expensive side for street style but it is worth it for the large portions, great flavour and free range meat. I have tried both the chicken and pork nachos, the plate and also their fries. All were fab.

After hearing about this little mexican takeout we thought we'd give it a go. We were not disappointed in fact we could not fault the quality of the food. We ordered online, arrived and the food was cooked fresh as per our oder specifications. Service was charming. Will be ordering again -absolutely delicious 😋😍

Enjoyed a delicious veggie burrito. We ordered online with a timeslot for collection. Sat at tables outside. Well organised with friendly staff. Facilities are basic with one portaloo. Brilliant for adults but my 6 year old didn't eat his kids meal as he said it was 'spicy'.

I lived in Arizona for 20 years, and I’ve tried many mexican restaurants since I returned to the UK, this is without doubt the most authentic I’ve tried. Absolutely fantastic, the jack fruit nachos, and the pulled pork tacos were amazing. I’ll definately be making a trip back here again!

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!! The best take away or sitting place in the whole area. Unfortunately they open only from Thursday to Saturday. Stuff and food 10 out of ten. Thank you for the extra sauce fir my chips and also fir the extra large burritos.

Ordered and paid on line. Very well set up when we arrived food arrived freshly cooked within a few minutes of our time slot. Super value for money and would grace the high street of any British town!

Really nice 'hippie' place to grab some nice food, we were just passing by and if you are not from this area you will not think that there is some really nice food and people there as is looks like "back of the shops" place. Was my first time eating burritos and tacos 🌮 , really great flavours, makes your mouth watery 🙀.

First visit and once you know how everything works in these covid times, I must say it is a well organised and efficient place to eat. Most meals can be veganised so my friends and I had vegan burritos and we all loved our food. It would be nice if there was vegan cheese or vegan sour cream options but we were happy with our food regardless. Will visit again.

Excellent Mexican food, the Tacos were amazing. Reason for 4 stars was the wait (which I know was somewhat to be expected) but the queue of 4 people hardly moved in 20 minutes (with quite a grumpy guy on the front till) An acknowledgement that we were going to be served at some point would have been welcome but each person in the queue was just ignored by staff until called forward after an extensive wait.

We love El Salsa. The food is always so fresh and delicious and the staff are very welcoming. There is something for everyone. We try and get visiting friends and family to El Salsa at least once while they are here as it is always...

Must be one of the best places locally gets very busy and food was good. Personally I'd have liked it Spicer and even the hot sauce was very mild and I'm not a person that has to have food that blows your head off. Definitely worth a visit

In Cardigan on holiday over last two weeks. Wow! Incredibly authentic and tasty food. I have been to Mexico twice and the food here is as good if not better than i sampled in Mexico. Superbly organised and super quick service! Well done to all.🇲🇽🌮🌮🌮

I need more if this delicious food in my life! Had the most incredible burritos, a fajitas chicken with spicy coleslaw and a jackfruit with guacamole. Even their chips with chipotle crema were unforgettable. If this place isn't a chain, then I will be longing to come back to Cardigan just for this food! Keep up the incredible work!

Best Mexican food we’ve ever had! The service was great, they have excellent vegan options with a tangy jackfruit or bean filling. We had a burrito and a plate, one with jackfruit and one with the bean filling, both were delicious but the jackfruit plate...

Best margarita I’ve had outside of Mexico! And truly delicious food. Literally amazed by the place. A shame there was no indoor eating option but I found it worth the queue for the delicious reward.

The food is good (but albeit very pricey for Mexican), but my big knock is that their hours are horrible. Three hours three days a week. Definitely need a better system so they can be open 12-8 seven days a week like a real restaurant....

The food was perfect and full of flavour even down to the fries with honey and mustard sauce. Service was excellent, I pre-ordered and it was freshly made and ready within 15 minutes. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Finally got to visit El Salsa and it was everything we’d hoped it would be! Super fresh ingredients, zesty flavours and real easy online ordering. Next time we’re visiting Cardigan, we will definitely be having another Mexican. Thanks to all the wonderful staff.

We went to EL SALSA twice this week cause we haven't had Mexican food in such a long time. Amazing. I had burritos both times, and my wife had a burrito and tacos, she preferred the tacos but personally the burritos were amazing. The restaurant lived up to its name, the salsa and salsa verde tasted fantastic and we're very clearly freshly made. Overall, very happy with EL SALSA and the staff were an absolute pleasure to speak to! P. S. The plate in my picture is a full sized dinner plate, this is the large burrito. Excuse the bite, I was eager to eat it... 😂

Easy to order online. Lovely Burritos, but a bit light on the pork? I asked for spicy but it was mild for my personal palette. Very tasty nonetheless & made us miss our old lunchtime burritos in Cardiff. Love the concept, will definitely return. Diolch!

Fast, fun, friendly, fabulous. Tasty wraps, filled full with fresh ingredients. We walked in on the spur of the moment, served with fresh food inside five minutes. Refreshingly honest, straightforward, tasty, alternative takeaway food. Cracking.

Incredible!! We had a chicken burrito and spicy pulled pork tacos with a side of chips. I think it's the best mexican food I've ever had. There was so much flavor to it all and the portions were a perfect size. I would highly recommend the pulled pork tacos as the pulled porked was cooked to perfection (and wasn't too spicy). Only small criticism would be the chips being undercooked, but you don't go there for the chips! The cocktails were also great and loved that they came in a glass jar rather than plastic, very nice touch. 👏 Very authentic and delious at a fair price.
