El Rincon in Reigate and Banstead

This is said to be a family run restaurant. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The food was good. Yet, there are too many tables cramped together, allowing little room between chairs. And it was extremely noisy. You could not even hear yourself think, leave alone making conversation with your neighbour at the table.

A wonderful family run Spanish restaurant serving delicious food with attentive staff. One of my favourite restaurants. A very wide selection of tapas alongside full courses. Always good.

Yet another fantastic meal with an amazing bottle of Cava. The food was cooked to perfection, the Joe was helpful as always and created a brilliant atmosphere.

Not the first time I’ve been to this family run restaurant over the past decades but I have never left a review which I am putting right. The atmosphere and friendliness of the owner and his family is only surpassed by the excellence of the food which has never been disappointing. We are very lucky to have this restaurant in our local area and I would highly recommend it to those who have not yet tried it - trust me you will have a wonderful experience and do take advantage of his knowledge of excellent spanish wines.

Just the worst meal in a very long time. Tasteless, badly cooked and not fresh ingredients. My stomach was upset before leaving the restaurant.

Joe and family always make us feel like we are part of the family. Always such a relaxed atmosphere which adds to the enjoyment of a tapas menu IMO. Food was phenomenal from start to finish and there wasn’t a blinked eyelid when the family next to us wished to share their Birthday cake with us for desert! (They happily served slices to our table). Potato’s bravas to die for and pork, Hake, prawns and muscles to live for. Never been let down. And as a local cab driver I have never heard of anyone being let down. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff. It has a great family feel to it. Food is fresh and all very well served. We recently moved from the Croydon area and visited a tapas over in CR. I'm glad we found a nice tapas to replace our restaurant with.

Nice for tapas. Some good flavours coming out of the kitchen, particularly the casseroles. Ingredients seem decent, bread was good. Some interesting items dotted around the place. Service was good. Attentive but left us to it when eating. Perhaps a little long on the bill although it started getting busy. Booking recommended on the Saturday although some walk-ins available.

Incredible, authentic food and drink with attentive service throughout the meal. All the staff, both waiters and chefs, are so accommodating, making sure everyone is looked after and is able to experience true Spanish taste through their dishes! Recommend the Paella Valenciana!

Lovely place and nice as it's local. Food was really well presented and also very good. Unfortunately my last piece of the meatballs, had a long hair through the meat. I just didn't think they dealt with the situation very well, almost laughing it off as "their chef is bald and everyone else in the kitchen is dark"? I said maybe they were bought in and it happened in production, but no, they're made on site??? A nice evening spoilt by an incident not really taken seriously.....we may visit again?

This was our first time at El Rincon and it definitely won’t be our last! The restaurant had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and Carlos was very welcoming and made us feel very at home. I have been learning Spanish for nearly a year and decided that it was time to practice outside of the classroom. I was nervous to speak for the first time, and knowing that I was making silly mistakes, but Carlos and the young waiter were great, thank you so much guys 😊 The food was incredible. Everything we had was delicately seasoned and so beautifully cooked. We had tapas to start, I had Gambon en Salsa Blanca and my husband had Higado Encebollado which is liver in a lovely rich wine sauce, I didn’t know that liver could be that tender and could taste that good! We had the Rape Langosta from the specials menu on Carlos’ recommendation and it was beautiful. We are looking forward to returning soon so we can try more of the delicious dishes!

Ee choose paella valenciana, with Paso a Paso verdejo to drink. Superb! Very tasty as we use to have paella in different places. Our host Carlos was always there and behind scene, chefs Gil and Miguel prepared this unforgettable recipe. We will go again soon, whatever be paella or else.

It's a really nice place, the food is amazing and the service is impeccable. All the staff are extremely friendly and the food melts in your mouth.

I’ve lived not far from this restaurant for over 24 years, but until this evening had never visited, which considering me and my partner & our teenaged children are foodies was a serious oversight. We wish we had visited sooner! (To be fair though our girls wouldn’t have fully appreciated the tapas until now.) The service was genuinely warm & friendly - the guys clearly care about their business and their customers. The tapas was superb - moreish on every level. The octopus was especially good, as was the white Rioja. This restaurant is a hidden gem and we will definitely return., Highly recommended.

Amazing traditional spanish food with a very cozy atmosphere! The jamon iberico and the baked aubergines were exceptional - can't wait to try the paella next time! The owners are from Galicia so they really know their food. Would recommend to anyone!

First time in this restaurant. Went as the reviews were good. The decor was not very spanish, you wouldn't know it was a Spanish restaurant if it wasn't for.the menu. The food(we had tapas) was a bit bland and not very hot. The staff was pleasant and provided adequate service. The coffee machine needs a good clean, the steam wand had about 3 weeks worth of milk stuck to it. Not somewhere we'll go again.

Wow, what a feast! OMG proper quality fresh food prepared while you wait, and boy is it worth waiting for! Certainly the best fresh tapa for miles. Cannot wait for another excuse to treat myself or someone special.

This place is great. I think the staff really makes a lovely experience for you. The food was very tasty, and the wine helped wash it down 😁. Carlos was a great help when I was stuck for choices, lol. The only thing I would personally prefer would be a bread basket served for the table instead of one slice of bread when we asked for it. One slice of bread is a bit stingy considering all the lovely sauce in the tapas we ordered. We would definitely return, though, especially to see the desserts trolly.

What a wonderful restaurant. We were a party of 6, celebrating a 70th birthday. We pre-ordered two paellas and also ordered from the regular menu. The food was sensational, the service was flawless and the atmosphere delightful. Lastly, the whole evening was phenomenally good value for money. Whilst about 40 minutes away from me, I would cheerfully pay for a taxi again to go there in the future. Thank you.

We hadn't been to this place for a few years it used to be run by Jo the window seat we booked because of my wifes impaired vision was taken there was no excuse the whole evening was in our eyes was a shambles there was no control. Come back Jo 😠

Very nice place to enjoy a Spanish meal, we were a party of 32 and had tapas. It was lovely. Nice wine and nice Spanish beer, I was drinking 0 Alcohol Estrella, and it was gorgeous.

First time visiting. OMG best tapas outside of Spain. The food was fantastic, great quality produce prepared beautifully. Great portions, generous. I had wild boar which melts in your mouth, the veal was spectacular and the scallops were the best my brother has eaten. There was nothing to fault. It was a perfect meal. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The host was great, he remembered names of the regular guests. Made the evening. 100% coming back. My new favourite restaurant

Excellent service and food, very good for all size groups. Whole family love the menu,good beverage choice and great sweet choices. Always welcoming and family run. Very popular so book for weekend, close to station and plenty of parking. Often open for lunch for regulars and tapas. Very accommodating and adaptable to requests for various options, groups and parties.

Varied menu to suit everyone mainly well cooked but small portions of vegetables. Small family restaurant on main road. Reasonably priced would certainly go again.

Absolutely fantastic food, so delicious and so fresh. The service is brilliant, and you are made to feel very welcome. The only fault is the lighting...its so bright, it kills the ambience and intimacy of the evening dining experience. Such a shame.

This is a restaurant popular with couples and family groups. The service is authentic and friendly - especially Carlos. The tapas were great although I would have had a Tres chorizo if it had been on the menu. Good supply of bread. Prices: I've paid much less and much more per tapas item at two other tapas bars respectively. Overall we had an excellent time so closer to 5-star than 4-star. Very handy if staying at Holiday Inn Epsom Downs

Vast menu, which makes choosing difficult. Unfortunately, I had an upset stomach afterwards, which clouded my views. I'm not sure why, but many of their sauces have a lobster element to which I have a sensitivity, so it may have been that. Enjoyable evening out though.

A business that's been going for 30+ years, and definitely shows it's experience with their cuisine. Carlos and his brother took care of us throughout the meal, engaged with us and recommended plenty of delicious choices. I cannot fault the service the offered. The food came out soon after ordering, with little wait. We'll be visiting again soon!

Cannot recommend enough this family-run restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and super friendly. Food is authentic and with the freshest ingredients. I always have the fillet medallion with blue cheese. Seafood excellent too. And banoffee pie is the best in Surrey!!!

May seem a little expensive but not when the quality is so good. A varied delicious selection of food on a diverse menu. Always a good sign when the restaurant is full. I couldn't fault the food. Decor was functional, maybe needs a slight upgrade. Bur pleasant enough.

El Rincon is by far 1 of the best Spanish restaurant’s. The two brothers have got it in the bag . The young lady’s that work there are lovely happy staff that make you feel so welcome, I would recommend this restaurant.
