El Pic Spanish Tapas Bar in Surrey Heath

If you are looking for a place to go in Camberley for dinner or even just a night out with friends for drinks and a few tapas, I absolutely recommend El Pic! Not only is the food amazing and all fresh, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing - a true, authentic Spanish restaurant. Staff are also very welcoming and friendly and engage in conversation with you, which definitely adds to the vibe 😊 The cocktails are also delicious and look so amazing! I definitely recommend you try the specials when they’re on too - I have tried the Spicy Strawberry Margarita, which is very unique but soo refreshing 😍 You don’t get many cocktails like this in Camberley. As for the food, like I said it is all freshly prepared, but also so flavourful. I 100% recommended the Gambas Pil Pil and Gambas en Guindilla if you love seafood. I have had some of the best seafood at El Pic. Such a lovely place in Camberley and one you will definitely want to return to with how amazing the food and drink is.

Away on a work trip, our love for tapas helped us stumble across El Pic. Without a booking, Davinia helped us to a a table before her bookings arrived. The food, wine, cocktails, service and atmosphere were amazing. We would highly recommend to anyone, thank you El Pic for an awesome night, we will be doing the near 200 mile round trip to visit again soon.

This was our 3rd visit and we absolutely love it, fantastic atmosphere, really lovely knowledgeable staff who know their food, just amazing dishes. This is always a special meal for us and it’s a treat for us to eat there.

Have visited this restaurant many times over the past 20 years and have never had a meal that I haven't enjoyed. Had supper here a couple of days ago and two dishes really stood out , the gambas pil pil and patatas bravas both of which were outstanding. For a restaurant to succeed not only does the food have to be great the staff have to perform as well and here Davinia and her small team in the kitchen and on the floor really excel. This place is a pleasure to visit.

We came in on Wednesday 13th and had such a lovely time. The restaurant is small so definitely book in advance! I was greeted by a lovely, friendly gentleman (though I didn’t catch either of the staff’s names this evening - so sorry!) who asked how I was and spoke me through where I was sitting and laid the menu out as I waited for my friend. Once my friend had arrived, he had popped back and asked if we would like any drinks. We were able to order quickly and the drinks soon followed. From the way he and his coworker spoke, we could tell they were friendly, attentive, helpful, and enjoyed their jobs at El Pic. They were laughing and joking with us, and worked very well together running tapas dishes and drinks in the evening. We went in the week, so we’re able to order from the Tapas for £18 deal available on Tuesday and Wednesday. This was a fantastic deal, really good value for money. The portions were well sized for tapas and we found ourselves full even though we were only eating smaller dishes. The food was rich in flavour and delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely. My friend and I were able to have a pleasant catch up over a couple of hours of eating tapas, and drinking fresh juice. Thankyou. We have had this restaurant on our list for a while so we decided to give it a try as we love tapas! It was so disappointing and the portions are tiny we was so so shocked. Usually when we go to other tapas restaurants you are able to share all the dishes.

My favourite local restaurant! The food here is always excellent, one of my teenagers suggested it should be 'Epic El Pic'! Our favourite dishes are the chorizo con miel, pollo al la crema & the berenjenas con miel (aubergines with honey), accompanied by a glass of sangria and finished off with churros!

Not the first time I have reviewed this amazing restaurant. It is literally the best place to eat in the whole county and my all time favourite. I have lost count of how many times I have been and introduced friends to it. The food is perfectly cooked, authentic and well priced. The place is tiny and it gets very busy, so book in advance. A great night out and the staff are attentive, funny and brilliant.

Last night's dinner at El Pic was good but we won't be back. The food was tasty but didn't appreciate the service. The male waiter was the only one who was actually really working hard and making the difference. The girls with purple hair probably still learning, was either hiding somewhere or in the way of the male waiter who was working so hard! The lady waiter with long black hair was full of attitude. She is the reason why we had a bad impression of the place and would not want to come back.

We had the most delicious meal. We came as a table of 6 on the off chance of getting a table. We had a fabulous table in then garden area. We literally ordered everything on the menu, I kid you. Not, everything. And it was amazing!!! There was no dish that we wouldn’t be tart again and we did order more if quite a few of them. The staff were fantastic. Really engaging and really fun. The food was fresh, Felicia and perfect for a party. Pleas don’t miss out on this fantastic gem in Camberley.

Absolutely delicious food, and the best part would be the fantastic staff with their wonderful service and attention to detail. We haven't dined there in nearly 15 years but as chance would have it, myself and my husband had a rare afternoon together in Camberley. Rather than sit disappointed in a noisy and formulaic chain restaurant we managed to book a table on a Saturday at this lovely spot. From the moment we stepped onto the threshold, we were welcome and given a lovely choice of tables. We sat in the outdoor area which was covered and very tidy. Drinks offered straight away and plenty of choice on the menu. Not once did we feel forgotten OR rushed. A fine balance that was absolutely achieved. Delicious food, wonderful service and a fair price for the rare date day. My only gripe would be the loo (beautifully refurbished recently but the lock on the ladies toilet was very jammed and many guests struggled to open it. There was also only one loo so timing was of the essence) If we ever have the chance, we will return! RECOMMENDED!!

This is a little gem of a restaurant. The food was fantastic, every dish we had was incredible, but the service was main reason for this review, they were excellent! They were all friendly and extremely aware, but they were also knowledgeable, and happy to help explain the difference dishes, give recommendations and generally top off the whole evening. Overall it was delightful, and we will be returning.

Decent place to eat and as most of the places, the prices have rocketed lately - don’t expect to fill up for less than £25. One mention worth considering, is the draft San Miguel which is charged as pint but only get a medium size glass (330 - 450 ml tops)

Simple independant tapas restaurant, more a cafe than a true restaurant. Had mid week dinner which was enjoyable. Second visit in 6 months. Staff friendly. Pricing ok, and credit card machine has a clear record of the charge and a simple menu for deciding how much of a tip you might want to give the staff. Great idea. Nice for Camberley to have this choice of food, as we are overrun with chain Italian style food places.

A group of five of us dropped in while staying in the Premier Inn round the corner for work. The gentleman serving us was friendly and efficient. We all ordered 2 or 3 tapas dishes and nobody had any complaints. The pollo a la crema was my favourite.

We were really impressed with this restaurant. The food, atmosphere and staff were all fantastic. Having been going to Spain for many years, we can say the food was very authentic and tasty! It is great how you can order how you like-either a big load that comes out gradually, or a few at a time. Great desserts, including churros and great selection of drinks, including Spanish lagers, wines and sangria. The only down sides: it can feel a bit cramped, as quite small (book well in advance to ensure a table) and it is quite expensive. Having said that, it is worth it and we'll definitely go back again!

Still remains our favourite restaurant for well over 20 yrs. The food quality is always incredible, there is a real Spanish vibe and the friendly staff are attentive and sincere, unlike alot of mainstream restaurant staff. The choice of food is perfect and the tastes are always mindblowing. We have tried Tapas in many other restaurants home and abroad and even the backstreets of Spain did not match the amazing quality of El Pics food. Love this place.

First visit back since the pandemic. Just as good as always. The fact it’s busy is a good sign. True tapas feel environment. Every dish was 10/10 and quick to arrive at the table. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back.
