Restaurant has closed down - and replaced with a Thai restaurant of similar quality Thankfully Eltham's food culture will not suffer as a result of its demise!

Llamé e hice una reserva para la cena de cumpleaños de mi padre el domingo por la tarde, que se confirmó por teléfono un día antes y todo estaba bien. ¡Solo para nosotros aparecer en el restaurante y estaba CERRADO y la gente estaba pintando! ! ! ! ¿Qué tipo de lugar recoge llamadas confirma las reservas cuando ni siquiera están abiertas? ! ¡Qué cosa tan cruel de hacer, definitivamente ni siquiera intentarás ir aquí!

He tenido curiosidad por probar este lugar desde hace un tiempo y no, ya sé que no volveré. Cóctel de gambas supuestamente con limón y menta. . Estándar de pantano con cuñas de lima y sin menta. . Las enchiladas y los burritos se cocinan en el microondas para que las tortillas se parezcan más al cuero. . persona equivocada para el frente de la casa. . sobrevivimos. . no regresará .

The food wasn't amazing nor was it terrible. The staff were nice but probably wouldn't go there again.

Esta fue la PEOR experiencia para llevar; caro, mala calidad y horrible servicio.

He estado aquí varias veces sin problemas. Esta vez, sin embargo, pensé que era extraño que un sábado por la noche éramos las únicas personas en el restaurante. El servicio era horrible sin ningún miembro del personal sabiendo que el menú y los cócteles probado sin alcohol. La comida estaba bien pero muy cara para lo que era. Después de nuestra comida estábamos pidiendo bebidas y el personal decidió que estaba bien para comenzar a aspirar y deprimir los pisos que nos encontramos extremadamente grosero. No había ambiente nuestros entrantes vinieron antes incluso nos sirvieron nuestras bebidas y básicamente fue mal serrvice. Ahora me doy cuenta de que todos deben estar experimentando lo mismo para no regresar. Sin duda no volveré otra vez aunque dudo que estará allí mucho más tiempo sin clientes en la noche más concurrida de la semana.

Nunca escribo críticas, pero después del horrible servicio y la calidad de la comida servida en este restaurante, pensé que nadie merece perder su dinero y su tiempo viniendo aquí.

Great food great service and sensible prices. However if only they paid attention to detail. Cheap shop bought guacamole and coleslaw ruins what otherwise would have been an excellent mark. Please home made guacamole in a Mexican restaurant is not a lot to ask.

Sinceramente sólo comida sabe como comidas superficial! No soy exigente en todo, pero era de muy baja calidad y se notaba! Platos no eran muy bgi y precios muy agresivos para lo que nosotros! Quería sinceramente, pero la comida altamente precio no era una maravilla para todos nosotros. Cócteles bien. Aunque es un agradable ambiente, pero preferiría comer en otro lugar.

Lo primero que hace de este lugar un gran restaurante es el servicio, el personal es atento y siempre dispuesto a cambiar de platos para sus necesidades alimentarias.

A diferencia de la anterior revisión encontramos que el personal y la comida más que adecuado, que obviamente no frecuentan los restaurantes mexicanos sobre una base regular, pero la comida caliente y abundante con porciones grandes así que no tengo quejas

Went for a meal for the Daughters birthday with the family. The staff were very friendly and the food was great however a little small portions. The range of cocktails were great. Would recommend a visit if in the area

Sorry to say this place is awful!The decoration is fun with photos of Latin America its culture, and the music is a good mix of salsa, bachata, cumbia and pasillos, but that does not make up for the dreadful food and customer service. I was in between appointments after work, hungry and tired so went in and had a classic quesadilla - something quick and light. The cheese was a mix of (I think) chedder and what tasted like fake cheese from a can - absolutely disgusting taste that lasted in my mouth for about 30 minutes, even after drinking loads of water! The quesadilla had some kind of spice in it, I asked the waiter, he said it was salsa -certainly not fresh, homemade salsa. The pico de gallo was basically: tomato (not fresh), 3 bits of coriander, huge chunks of red onion - no lemon or lime juice (I prefer lime in mine), garlic, and zero chilli and dry! I asked the waiter for some lime juice to give the pico some flavour and liquid as it should have, and he gave me a shot glass of LIME CORDIAL!!!!I took 3 bites of the food and just could not eat anymore. I told them I was not happy and didnt want to pay, the manager just didnt know what to say, no initiative at all. I left without paying.There was only one other table - a family of 4 in the restaurant, and that was it! The bar tender/waiter and manager were just standing around awkwardly.Please - do not even waste your time, the food is not at all fresh and the staff are gormless. There are much better, more authentic Mexican restaurants in the capital.

Had a lovely evening here with my family for my birthday. Food was lovely, big portions, nicely cooked, lots of choice. Staff were very friendly. Only thing as a minus was staff were bit too eager to take away plates/glasses!! Also was a lovely restaurant but really hot in there!!

Came here for a friend's birthday lunch and we were the only ones in the restaurant.The food was okay and the service good - maybe even a little too good and too attentive.

If you want true Mexican food go to Lupita in Charing Cross, if you want 'Mexican Spice' on everything, and everything tasting of fake cheese and heat as opposed to flavour then go to el mojito! I will not be returning, I can make it better at home.

My boyfriend and I go to El Mojito's often and have had family birthdays here a few times. The food is lovely and prices are reasonable. However, almost every time we visit there is a problem.On many occasions food has been forgotten from our order. We recently ordered a soup each for starters and another tapas each for the mains, but they forgot my boyfriend's main. We waited for ages as we thought it might still be cooking but they hadn't even started on it. By the time they realised something was missing, my food was cold; so I got a doggy bag to take it home. The manager asked if we still wanted the main but we didn't have time to wait for it. When we said this, the waiter just frowned, mumbled something to himself and walked away! We were only charged for the food we received, but we didn't even get an apology. Normally when customers leave, the staff will see you out or at least say goodbye, but he stood behind the bar sulking! Terrible service and quite awkward and hostile towards the end of the visit. The restaurant wasn't busy; so it was very careless of them. We won't be eating here again, which is a shame because we were regular customers and love the food.

The food was absolutely beautiful ...a good choice of beers and drinks. Only fault ,,(for me ) staff were too attentive and kept disrupting our conversation ,and they offered to take plates whilst one of us was still eating .

I had been looking forward to a meal here as it is a long time since my last visit but I was very disappointed. The plate of beef nachos was very small . The guacamole was like green slime obviously bought in when it only takes minutes to make the real thing. The ribs were good but not as good as I remember. When we went to pay we were told it had to be cash as the card machine did not work. It would have been so much better to have said this at the start when the walk to an ATM would have been in daylight.

We have visited this restaurant a number of times as a family and we have always have a very good dinner. For starters my Daughter and I shared Nachos, whilst my Son and Husband shared ribs. For main course my teenagers ordered the chicken fajitas as they love them. My husband ordered chilli, it came with rice and fajitas and I had the chilli and coconut prawn with rice. All cooked to perfection. The cocktails are great too, lots of choice and you can order a jug to share. Great place for families, couples and friends. Staff always happy, welcoming and attentive. Visited with wife after a long gap. Starter of nachos was half the size I remembered. Whilst the meat and fish part of my main course was a large quality portion. A Mexican restaurant should at least have home made guacamole not cheapest supermarket brand. Perhaps the house wine should be Mexican.

Nice lunch time meal with my hubby, good value for money lunch menu and very excellent choice of food.

Visited with friends for our birthdays. Tried a range of cocktails which were all amazing and would definitely recommend. Got served quickly and food came at a good pace. I had chorizo/olive nachos to start. These tasted good but were overloaded with cheese so made me feel sick after a while which led to me feeling too ill to eat very much of my main. I had a vegetable chimichanga, the meal was huge, but I've never had broccoli, cauliflower and carrot battons (from what I can only assume was a frozen mix) in my Mexican food! Apart from that the food was nice. I would also request to sit near the front of the restaurant if possible as we were right by the kitchen and it was so hot I had to go outside half way through and fanned myself with the menu the rest of the time!

Tried out this places as it was close to home and we love mexican food. Order jalapeno poppers to start. Bit into them to find they were still frozen. We complained and received new ones and complimentary cocktails. Order a prawn and rice dish for a main and am 99% sure the rice served was from a packet of uncle bens rice. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I visited El Mojitos with my wife and my son, we was very pleased about the menu, big selection of lovely food and great kids menu, we had the chicken Fajita what was absulutly delicious and resonable price. The staff was very friendly and polite , specialy the New Manager Dolly, She was looking after us, we had a wonderfull evebing, thank you El Mojitos !!!

Been here, great atmosphere, mouthwatering cocktail. I ordered my food and received it within 20 mins. Staff are kind. Defo recommend and will come again.

Food and cocktails were good, we had a lovely smiley waiter and weren't hurried out, although the place was pretty empty.It was exactly what we hoped for every time we passed the entrance on the way to town.

We had friends visiting so thought this would be a great fun place for a girlie night out - how wrong we were....... Had to wait an age to get asked for a drink - had to ask for menus.......... finally ordered - one started failed to appear - mediocre food - frozen and deep fat fried the majority of it. Last started appeared as we had all finished ours - whilst she was still eating that all our mains were bought out ....... just a joke - when you complain they turn the music up! the Manager will accept NO responsibility for the terrible service. We told him that were were not paying for certain things. We wanted to leave a tip for our waitress (the only good thing about the whole experience) but she told us ALL THE TIPS GO TO THE MANAGEMENT!!!!!! Disgusting. Drinks were spilt on the floor and another guest in the restaurant slipped head over heels! One of our party was sick the next day - think the EHO needs to visit this place. DO NOT GO HERE AVOID there are much better Mexicans in the area!!!!!!!!

I have been to El Mojito's several times since it has opened. I can say the service, food and drink have always been great! Tonight was no different. I wanted to book a table at this restaurant tonight, so typed in El Mojito's in to Google and Trip Advisor came up... I was interested in seeing the recent reviews, as I hadn't been there since November. I was shocked to see the bad reviews, nevertheless, I booked a table and off we went.On arrival we were greeted, and taken to a table. The menus were handed to us, drinks offered, made and delivered, food order taken and all delivered promptly and with a smile. Staff asked several times if our meal was ok and if we wanted any more drinks.I did mention to the Manager, Dolly, that the reviews weren't good, but I said I was impressed with the service and food. She was aware of the bad reviews and told me the management and staff had changed, she was the new manager. So ignore the last lot of reviews and go ahead and revisit, or try it. It is a lovely little restaurant in Eltham, and I would be happy to recommend to anyone.Thank you Dolly and her staff for a lovely evening. :)

We live locally and kept meaning to visit and then we did on Saturday and were not disappointed. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food reasonably priced and delicious (I would recommend the mushrooms) and the atmosphere great. The cocktails were also great and cheap compared to other local prices. We had a great evening and will be returning and brining friends!

Had to ask for menu's, had to ask to order, had to ask for more cutlery, rude manger and bartender. Constantly felt like we were being watched by the bartender. Half our starters arrived then another table were served their mains before 3 more of our starters, we were missing 1 that we had to ask 3 times for, when it finally arrived our mains started arriving too. As there was no time between courses it meant none of us could enjoy our mains, one of us had ribs which were undercooked and resulted in that friend being ill the following day. The manager took no responsibility for any of the issues we were faced with so we refused to pay for the late/undercooked meals. The poor girl serving us was new and was being treated badly by the bartender, all the manager wanted to do was blame everything on her. The music was very loud with the same songs being played over and over again.We were really looking forward to this evening out as we had friends down from Huddersfield who we hadn't see for months and it was thoroughly spoilt by this restaurant.

Me and my wife went out for a short walk when we bumped into this nice place. Initially we just wanted to enjoy a drink but the menu caught our attention, so... we decided to taste some fajitas. I have travelled a lot and eaten in many mexican restaurants but I have to state that this one is really oustanding. Very careful and smiling waiter/bartender and quite cheap prices. We'll definitely come back here. Don't forget to try the garlic bread folks!

After being sat at the table for ten minutes we had to ask for food menus, we then had to ask to order drinks, then had to ask to order food. Asked for a glass of water three times eventually got it. Starters came out erratic in fact main course came out whilst others were still eating their starter. Ordered potato bravas which was just potato wedges with sour cream on. Had to ask for cutlery...Management wouldn't accept criticism or offer an apology. I could go on...Generally all round awful place

My friend and I visited 6th Feb, waited 15 mins for a table although there were plenty free but uncleared! Was never approached at all by a waiter or waitress and had to call out to order drinks after sitting for 10 mins, after another 10 mins no drinks still and no menu yet! Waiter was coming to us with other people's drinks! ordered only 1 small sharing platter to start with which took ages got that but had no cutlery to eat with, and may I add cocktails didn't seem to contain any alcohol! After eating with my fingers decided to leave, this was the first time ever my friend and I had managed to get sitters for our kids on the same night and had a lot to catch up on, our night was ruined! And our sitters expensive all we wanted was a pleasurable meal and catch up! Will never return

valentines day, went for meal , had glass pink champange , had starter that was lovely, both had rib eye steak cooked medium, and yet agine it was cooked perfect, went there also 6th feb for my daughters birthday had a brilliant time foog great, staff lovely and helpfull, have written befor about el mojito's, and the places is still as good as ever, will be having my birthday there as well in may, great,

i went to el mojitos on saturturday 6th feb 2016 with my family there were 5 of us we ordered our starters and our mains the starters were very nice then the mains started to come out and only 2 of us had the right dish and when asked why the mix up the guy that took our order was very rude to us and told us if we dont wish to eat in the restaurant then we should leave i have never been into a restaurant and been spoken to like this before after all it was hes mistake and he should have apologised to us i then asked to speak to the manager then he replied i am the manager this is absolutely shocking behaviour from a manager and we will never be returning

Waited half an hour for order to be taken and when food arrived an hour after arrival no starter, just main course. When I expressed in-happiness to management I was told to just pay for drinks and go!!Will not return!

On arrival we were pointed to our table rather than show to it. After waiting for about 10 minutes we ask a waiter for some drinks only to be told yes I will be with you in a minute ( which was another 5 minutes). The waitress asked us if we had ordered yet but alas we hadn't even been given a menu. No sooner had we been given the menues we were asked were we ready to order. We found the food very stodgy with gloopy marinades and sauces, I was expecting my king prawn fajitas to be fresh and zingy with lime but instead were covered in very spicy thick sludge. The music was beyond loud 80s pop so not very authentic. Towards the end of the evening when the restaurant had emptied out I asked if the music could be turned down a little as we were having to shout at each other rather than speak only to be told it was someone's birthday at the other end of the restaurant. So the lights were turned down and the music turned up! We paid and left never to return. Also if they are going to serve mojitos then learn how to make one.

Paid £4.25 for cajun mushrooms which consisted of 4 deep fried breaded mushrooms on a skewer which were tasteless. Steak fajitas which were not sizzling, probably because they came in too much of a fatty sauce. My wife ordered vegetable fajitas which had so much chili they were inedible. Staff (whom were very friendly and apologetic) did offer an alternative or a drink but unfortunately we had to collect our child so counted our losses and ran. They didn't offer a discount on the bill though which I would of expected? Anyway, To top it all off (the day and night after) we both have diarrhoea and stomach cramps! Won't be returning in a hurry.

The food was lovely the atmosphere was fun, The staff were helpful and informative. Sometimes other customers can be really loud in there but that isnt the restaurants fault! if youre looking for a quiet meal dont go here, but other than that food was beautiful

We was really disappointed with the whole experience,we was sat by the window,I had to ask the waitress to close both the doors,we ordered our drinks,my husband got his first,5 mins later I got my wine,10 mins my daughter got hers, one of the waitresses was quite arrogant,we all had different fajita's ,which were really nice but the sides were very minuscule,I'd say they had divided one full side dish into three,,Overall it was a really disappointing evening :(

This is a good little place for lunch, have been a couple of times. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Good menu, plenty of variety. Virgin Peach Bellini is nice, and the quesadillas. Will definitely go there again.

A good Mexican restaurant . Very helpful friendly staff. It can sometimes be a little noisy. The food is very good with the exception of the guacamole which is obviously bought in.

We usually love El Mojitos and are regular visitors seeing it is only a five minute walk from home. Well, I don't know what has happened in the past 2 months but the service was very slap dash. It was not particularly busy but starters took ages to arrive. I wasn't very impressed and food wasn't very fresh it seemed. Again a very long wait for our mains. The other thing that differed from our previous great visits was that the usual Manager wasn't there. Think he keeps the place running like clockwork when working. Before going in again, we will ensure we have a peek through the window. If he is on Duty we will go eat.

yet agine another lovely meal at el mojitos in eltham. i had a ribeye steak. i asked for it medium and it was perfect in fact everything we ordered was cooked perfect. the staff are nice and friendly . we have been to el mojitos on quiet a few times and every time we have had a meal in el mojitos its been faultless. we went there for our wedding annivisary and had a very enjoyable evening . good food good staff and great atmosphere what more could you want. would recommend to any body that loves mexican food. well worth a visit.

Our starters and mains were fresh and tasty. We didn't like the fajitas very much, though, because they put a lot of barbecue sauce in it (which seemed strange in fajitas?) which overpowered the flavour. If you don't like BBQ sauce, don't order the fajitas. We learned the hard way. Otherwise, very fresh vegetables and nicely cooked meats. Lovely cocktails too.The atmosphere is very, very loud. We could not hear one another well enough to have a conversation over dinner. This was mostly due to the loud music, but also contributed by the closeness of the other tables and it was quite busy. Not a place for a romantic meal or a conversation.Service was particularly poor, which became annoying by the end of the meal. We were greeted pleasantly enough but no one checked on us during the meal, we were not offered any further drinks although the glasses sat empty through the whole meal, it seemed impossible to summon anyone to our table despite a heap of finished plates and our obvious looks around for someone to bring us the bill. We would have ordered more drinks if we had been given any opportunity to do so. There were at least two servers that we saw, who were covering perhaps 8 tables in total (so... 4 each?) but they seemed to avoid tables once the order had been taken.At this point we are unsure whether we'd return. The food showed promise... but the rest was not so pleasant.

I booked El Mojito for a friend's birthday meal on the basis of the great reviews and I agree, it's great place for good Mexican food. We both really enjoyed it.

This place is very friendly and relaxed. The food was very decent indeed. Fajitas were sizzling and Cajun chicken was spicy enough when especially ordered as such. Nachos could have been better though sauces were all great. Oh, and music could be either Mexican or on little more quieter tone.

After our first visit to El Mojito's on 31st May, we went back on 21st June to celebrate our daughters 16th Birthday and Fathers day. Needless to say, the service, food and atmosphere was yet again excellent. The cocktails we had were gorgeous and the food was just outstanding. We travel down from Barnet, North London to eat at El Mojito's. Oh how we wish this restaurant was local to us, but it's worth the drive to SE London. Would I go again - absolutely and looking forward to itFirst visit and was really impressed both with the quality and choice of food, as well as the excellent and friendly service. There was a large party in at that same time as us but felt well looked after, the service remained speedy and very friendly.Oh and the cocktails are great!Prices are really reasonable and if you are based in Eltham or close by the you should give this place a try

Excellent food, service, decor! Friendly manager too. Overall a fantastic experience. We were just passing through Eltham on our way to buy a puppy and we had arrived in the area too early, so luckily spotted El Mojito's! Thank god we did as we would have ended up in McDonalds (yuk). When we went into the restaurant the first thing we noticed was how clean it was and the decor is gorgeous. We were seen to immediately by a friendly waiter and didn't wait long for our chicken nachos, have to say, the best nacho dish we have ever had in the UK. For mains, I had the vegetable enchiladas and my husband had Beef Chimichanga. The portions were great, flavours the most authentic we have had for ages, vegetables and side salad was so fresh. We live in Barnet, North London and we will actually go out of our way to drive down to El Mojito's again as we have not found anywhere in London that serves such nice food. Chiquito's and Chimichangas restaurant are not a patch on El Mojito's!! we are planning to book out daughters 16th Birthday meal at El Mojitos at the end of this month. Working in London this weekend at the Eltham Palace Art Deco Fair, so we were looking for somewhere to eat close by after a busy day. The aroma of wonderful food wafted through the open door as we walked past, so stopped & walked in to a friendly greeting. Fast service brought a great swordfish steak for my partner & skewered prawns, chicken & rack of ribs for me. Sooo tasty !! Definitely going back with friends ASAP !!Dave & Sharon

This was our first visit, we arrived about 5.00 PM on a Saturday and were lucky enough to get the last two seats, as the place was full. We did not think we would have to book going so early but clearly that is not the case. Food was first class, large portions and hot, although full staff were still attentive when needed. Can recommend the ribs.

we decided to stay local for our family get together last Bank Holiday and El Mojito's was suggested as we hadn't visited before, we weren't too sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome when entering. The recommendations offered were a good choice and backed up with an attentive but discreet service, portion sizes were good with all of us feeling full by the end of the evening and to top it all the cost was very reasonable......will certainly revisit when possible!

We have been here twice because, well we love it. Is it the best. ..no but still a great place. The host is a great guy to chat to and he ensures the service is spot on but not painful or pestering.Calamari starter is a winner as are the nachos. Portions are a good size and prices overall are very reasonable.Mexican dishes are recommended over the standard burger or ribs. The chilli con carne burger was missing something (although honestly i did enjoy it) but my wifes ribs were dry and not "fall off the bone" so definitely improvement required. Two other members in our party had the prawns main dish and were extremely happy with it, as were they the last time they had it here. Definitely a recommend.So in summary, mexican and fish dishes are a definite, cocktails and beers are an absolute must. Great atmosphere and a great time had. If they sort out the ribs issue they will be a 5*. Will be back as we love the atmosphere

I was so looking forward to going for a meal here as Eltham has been lacking somewhere fun like this...but it was a bit of a disappointment.The cocktails are only £4.95 each and they are pretty tasty, and there's a good atmosphere, but that's about the best of it.I think the food is probably alright if you're ordering the most basic stuff, but its like eating at a Harvester. I ordered the prawns in coconut/sweet chilli sauce with rice, but the "sauce" was just a bottle of chilli dipping sauce poured all over the top so the rice at least was inedible. I asked for some more on the side and they charged me. My boyfriend ordered a chicken salad which was mostly sweet, sticky chicken pieces...in a fajita.Like I said I was really looking forward to my evening there but the food was below average.

Brilliant from start to finish. Lovely reception and happy smiling staff. a real joy.Food in large portions. I had the swordfish with rice and it was succulent. The others had the chimichanga's and they stated they were lovely. We also had starters but we were too full as the portions are massive. Alcohol as beer and cocktail and the whole bill for 3 was just under fifty pounds and so a real deal.I will go here again.

We went to El Mojitos for my wifes' birthday. We were shown straight to our table and given menus. Everything we ordered arrived promptly. The food was delicious and portion size was more than adequate. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the ambience was great.The place was immaculate including the rest rooms.We had a fantastic time and will visit again and again. Myself and a friend visited and were delighted with everything at this new little gem.All food was tasty and portions are huge! Very good value for money all round, and lovely staff both at the bar and waiting.We had a jug of cocktail, 2 sides and the biggest enchilada portion each I have ever seen for our main (with rice, salad and 3 enchiladas! - starters are not needed here!) and it worked out around £58 which I think is great value.Cocktails are delicious, with the option for a nice big sharing jug which is great for groups. It's a tad on the small side, which means booking is definitely necessary, but it's well worth the bit of extra bother.We would visit again for sure.

This is our second time at El Mojito's Had a Wonderful Mothers day Sunday lunch at the restaurant, Errol and his staff makes you very welcome and can not do to much for you very friendly always willing to have a chat, service is great and the non alcoholic Cocktails are as good as you get anywhere. Just had a meal with my mother in law and it was beautiful! Very helpful staff recommending dishes as my mum doesn't like spicy food. We will certainly be back soon!

We visited El Mojito's for a friends birthday get together. There was 8 of us.Cocktails; they have a lovely selection of cocktails and the alcohol content is appropriate. They are all one price; £5.Food; Again a good selection of starters and mains. But no point in having a good selection if the food is 'meh'. I ordered the King Prawn and Coconut with rice and salad. The first couple of bites were ok, but then the taste becomes overpowered by the tomato sauce that the prawns and rice are covered in. I sent it back and thought I'd try something smaller, so ordered some chicken tacos. This too had a very similar taste of tomatoey sauce.Staff; very friendly and very helpful. Will try to do whatever they can to make sure you have a good time.I think its going to be a case of 'been there, done that. Now where next.'

Really decent Mexican, good value for money and friendly atmosphere. Portions are giant and the menu offers all your staple and favourite Mexican dishes.

The only reason I haven't been sooner is that the few times we have tried to book they either say we can go around 6pm or 8pm. Just two sittings with no option of booking in between. Not sure if this has changed now but this time we booked for 8pm. We walked in and to be fair it wasn't packed solid, but forgot to ask about the timings. Really warm welcome from the manager/owner and the cocktails were a delight, quite reasonably priced at just £4.95 each, I thought the standard price for a cocktail these days was £6.95 so a nice bonus. The meal came to approx £130 for 6 of us but only 2 of us had starters and none of us had dessert as we were stuffed after a particularly heavy week of eating and drinking. The price was good considering that everyone had at least 2 cocktails some of us 3. The food was lovely, have a look at my pictures and you will get the gist, very tasty Mexican grub. The manager came over at one point and we were asking him about the place and it was clear he has high standards for front of house aswell as behind the scenes, what a pleasant chap. There was music but not like in some Mexican restaurants where it is so loud you have to shout to each other, it was a good volume, enough for atmosphere but not too loud for overkill. You should give it a try, I know we will return, it's local and good quality. Forgot to say there is a free hole in wall cash point directly next to it, so you can draw out cash when you arrive.

Having been here a few times since it's opening last year, I have found it to be a very nice restaurant with nice food and good service and an all round good atmosphere. Not a fan of mexican food, but there are things on offer for fussy eaters like myself, like the beef or chicken burger, ribs and steaks. Portion sizes are always generous and their cheesy garlic bread is to die for, most gorgeous starter I've ever had. Good place for big family celebrations, having already been there to celebrate someone's anniversary and a birthday. Bit on the pricey side though, so don't go there if you want somewhere cheap to eat.

This is a great family friendly restaurant with very reasonably priced food which they are happy to tailor to your requirements.The cocktails are definitely the big selling point though for me whilst my husband loves the HUGE portion sizes!

Atmosphere was good, staff were lovely, decent price for everything we ordered. The menu is great and unique for Mexican cuisine as it offers tapas or a hefty main depending on how you feel. Going by the main (Chimichanga), it's not the best Mexican I've had but everything else we tried (chorizo, nachos, onion rings) were amazing. I would definitely recommend and plan to go again soon

Had a lovely meal here with my partner on 28th December, good value for money and good customer service! Will definitely be returning here in the not too distant future

You certainly can't accuse these guys of being stingy on portions! Each visit ends with a full tummy and a decision to share courses... Next time!Whilst the garlic mushroom starter could have been garlickier, the chorizo and olive nachos were delicious and the sizzling chicken and steak fajitas were spicy and unctuous.The pitcher of salty / sweet frozen strawberry marguerite was tequila-tastic and the atmosphere and music and staff were all part of a great evening.Slightly disappointed that our water jug was taken away near the end of the meal when we could have done with a top up, but we could have asked for more.We'll be back to this fun local gem!

We had our branch Christmas party at El Mojito's at the end of November, it was a long time in the planning but I cannot praise everyone enough, especially Erol. On the night the staff were fantastic, and dealt with all 50 of us brilliantly, the set Xmas menu was brilliant and everyone loved all of the cocktails!I would definitely recommend El Mojito's, whether it's for a family meal or a party!! Thank you all so much!

We went here for my partners birthday as a family and from the outside it looks pretty small but it is actually quite big inside and has nice decorations along with hats on the tables for you to wear. When looking at the menu I noticed it was a little overpriced for what it was but still enjoyed the food anyway. I ordered from the Christmas menu ordering stuffed mushrooms, fajitas and chocolate ice cream for dessert. The starter was great along with the main which was probably the best on the table. However my partner had to return his steak as they had cooked it wrong to what he had asked. All but one members of staff were nice and very attentive. When the dessert came to the table I noticed that there was in fact a hair in my ice cream which would be total put off for anybody eating so I told somebody and they looked at the hair and had to ask the manager (I presume that is who he was). As if I lie about a hair in my food or drop one of my own in there?!. They then gave me a new one which I thoroughly investigated and finished. Due to this problem the manager took the service charge off of our bill which was nice. All in the all the experience was good and the food was great apart from the one stray hair!

What can i say but what a great night we had on Sunday 30th 2014 for our works Christmas partyGood food, excellent staff very helpful and nothing was to much trouble, great atmosphere, and not forgetting the best cocktails in the south east of London thanks to Erol and his staff for a fantastic evening we will defiantly be back again

The staff are friendly and helpful, Errol, the guy in charge (if he isn't he should be) makes sure everyone is happy with their eats and drinks.A nice, happy place where you are made to feel very welcome. Wow!I booked a table for 25 people for my husbands 40th. We had an amazing night. The service was faultless, the servers remembered all of our names. They couldnt do enough for us. The food was excellent. We will definitely be returning. Thank you El Mojitos! Xx

This place is simply really great fun. It's small, friendly, colourful, and has a relaxing vibe that perfect for cheering yourself up at the end of the working week or getting together for a celebration. The food is very good too. I've had chicken fajitas, and loved them. We also tried one of the tasting plates, which was so generous we almost had no room for anything else. And the drinks list is extensive and hilarious! The cocktails are very creative, and look and taste awesome: you'll want to stick a picture on Instagram immediately. This is a fun place that doesn't take itself too seriously and will leave you feeling full, relaxed, and in a good mood.

Been here a few times, once on my birthday, and previously when friends visited. Each time, the service has been lovely, the drinks were always quickly done and fresh! The food is absolutely to die for! One of the best places, nice chilled atmosphere, and there always seems to be custom no matter what time you visit (weeknight and weekends). Staff are accommodating and always look like they enjoy making you feel welcomed, and the overall layout of the place is great - really made use of the little space! Can't wait to visit again!

Came here with 2 friends the staff were very nice and did'nt leave us waiting for long. I really enjoyed the food but it came out after we ordered it really quickly which worried me a little. Excellent value for money and I would return again.

I really wanted to love this place. Had visions of going there often. Everything is great about the place, from decor to service but sadly the food really lets it down. Marks and Spencer have better mexican food. My stomach does not yearn to go back.

4 of us went here for the evening on a Friday night, and we all very much enjoyed our night. The music wasn't to loud the staff was really friendly and new how to have a laugh with us, the food was very very nice, and the price was very good as well. The cocktails where amazing. I would recommend everyone to go here. Very impressed for a very good restrant in eltham :-)

Visited for the first time last night and not disappointed. The cocktails were fantastic and only £4.95 each. The Randy Latino (ahem.....) was gorgeous!!! Very good quality food and BIG portions. The rib eye steak was first class. Really lovely, helpful staff and a great manager who is keen to make the restaurant a success. For me they have a winning formula. This is just what Eltham needs. Will visit again very soon.

The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful, humouring my children and their requests for cocktail umbrellas/ bendy straws etc. The food was plentiful in volume but rather bland, which is challenging for Mexican food!! It was rather like a 'toned down' version of Mexican cuisine, where not enough spices and chilli had been used. I had a strawberry mojito too, which was very sweet and synthetic tasting. All-in-all, a fairly pleasant experience, but in future we'll stick to El Bandito in Sidcup in future, sorry...

Visited recently for my God mothers birthday celebration and was not disappointed! The cocktails are great! And the food is amazing. So tasty & such big portions! The prices are such good value.The staff are super friendly & fun. Did well to cope with the noise of our party! Seeing as there was a good 24! Had such a funny night. Love the fact everyone gets a hat- makes it just that extra fun. We pretty much took over the place & luckily enough staff was super laid back & that's why we cannot wait to visit again for a Christmas party!! Loved the night- super recommend you guys!!

I have visited this place a few times now, for birthday parties ( where I must say they went all out and highly embarrassing to have the whole of the Mexican singing happy birthday to the birthday girl) or for late night dinner and drinks with music and dancing. it gets quite busy so best to book in advance. The staff go out of their way to help you, nothing is too much they are all cheerful and very welcoming. The food is freshly prepared and the portions are big, I've tried several different meals and each of them are full of flavour and delicious. But my favourite has to be the cocktails they are reasonably priced and taste great with a large selection to choose from. I've got to say its one of the best restaurants that I've visited in awhile and would certainly recommend it no matter what the occasion and will be definitely be booking again very soon. Thank you all for such a warm and friendly service.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times, very welcoming staff especially Becky. Food is always delicious, my favourite dish is the chicken fajita's although everything else tastes great. there are plenty of cocktails to choose from too. The restaurant has a good atmosphere with nice lighting and music which doesn't drown out your conversation. The manager is always around working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. Fabulous food, lovely drinks, great staff!!

Love this place, been twice now and a group of us are going tonight, the place is clean, friendly and the food is lush. I have them on my facebook page and the pictures of the food always me hungry, please try this place and you will not be disappointed. Management are always working so it’s run at its best.

Came here for my 6th time last week with a different group of friends , atmosphere and service warm and friendly as always there was a small query with some of the food but straight away this was sorted with the manager who couldn't be more apologetic , this was a one off and the food is usually amazing , will be back very soon thank you

We went here on the weekend and had a lovely time. Food was great the cocktails were lovely and we had very polite and quick service. Would highly recommend to anyone who was after a fun evening out. We will be back!

18 of us visited El Mojito's last night for a leaving party. The food was very good and so was the service. The restaurant was busy but we didn't have to wait long for our cocktails which were delicious and reasonably priced. There was a great atmosphere and I am sure we will visit again!

we went here for a family birthday (party of 7) and the atmosphere here is fun and upbeat, the only problem for us is that the music was so loud we couldn't really speak to one another without having to yell. the restaurant provide props for dress up - such as various hats, sombreros, ponchos etc which was fun an different. the food was of very good quality and big portions. the rib-eye steak and T-bone steak was particularly good. good range of cocktails and drinks. the only draw back on our visit was that we had to ask for our drinks order 3 times before it was eventually brought to our table, but the staff were very apologetic. it is a good party venue, be prepared for it to be noisy! would go again :)
