The food prices is a rip off! Way too expensive! I’m all for supporting a small business but it doesn’t mean you can rip people off with these overpriced prices! You want us to support your business and you are not supporting families in the same economic situation that wants to support your businesse. Apart from that the food is very tasty

I was alarmed by the man who took my call on Wednesday 13/09/2023. Just because I suggested consistency in the use of containers, bearing in mind the high price of “OHA” soup. He became agitated and dismissive, trying to silenced me by claiming he is taking orders and was not interested in my opinion and basically said I should go elsewhere, as he had no time for argument. He later said there is no “OHA” soup and cut me off. The same arrogance that stops us from developing our nation. I expected him to say bring the containers, rather he dismissed me. What an impunity. Though the price is overpriced, I have no problem paying hence everything is expensive I do understand the need for high prices, but there is no need for such unreasonable behaviour.

Very welcoming and friendly restaurant close to town centre. Jollof Rice was great, with fried plantain and we each had with goat meat and chicken which tasted very good and with just the right amount of pepper. All was very good, I'll happily drop in again to try some other food from the menu - hopefully that can be their Edo black soup when that gets on the menu.

You clearly don't need to be black or from the Caribbean to know rice n peas not supposed to look bare white with the kidney beans added on top, lol. Curry goat was mad oily, not a minimum taste of coconut milk, vegs were the ones frozen you add to make fried rice. If you want to get some Caribbean food in Cambridge go for AuntyPam or Nellaskitchen.

Tucked away in the beautiful Cambridge, this Nigerian restaurant caters for all groups of people from Nigerian to Caucasian and back 😁 Visited yesterday with family and friends and we had a nice time, quite comfortable seating area not spectacular. They had the social distancing guidelines in place, best to place your order like 45mins before arrival (this reduces the waiting time). Also uses deliveroo service. The peppersoup was fantastic, they use less salt and spice levels are highly controlled to your specifications which is good because you can then increase this to suit you 😊 apparently the 'suya' is a must-have The food was good (not the best that I have had) and quantity was good for the pricing, wide variety of options to choose from including the drinks and the owners are a very pleasant couple. Could be abit tidier but still clean so no issues. Location is not a problem as long as you use a sat nav however parking can be an issue as no designated spot. There is a toilet available but again quite small, looks like it serves dual purpose of both storage area and restroom. Overall, would recommend to try it out 👍🏼

A heart-warming gem in Cambridge. Run by Grace and Yemi, such lovely people with talents and big hearts :) Shame that the masks are hiding their big smiles! Efo egusi and jollof rice are my favourite so far, but there are many more I should explore even after several visits. They modified the menu to make it veggie friendly. The cuisine genuinely understand how to bring out the full flavour of various vegetables and leaves. Going again and again!

Really delicious food that’s incredibly tasty and filled with flavour. They offer their own delivery service separate from Deliveroo that’s much better as well. Though it is better to order from them before 7:30pm as ordering later means you are sometimes left with the last prepared food of the day. For example one order I placed quite late resulted in very hard puff-puff that I could not even bite into and ended up having to throw it out as a result. But overall great food and service. Would highly recommend!

We went here as the reviews were good and I wanted to support my people but I was very disappointed to be honest. The portions were so small, we had to go McDonald's after as we were all still very hungry. Over £60 for 2 adults and 3 small children. Although the fish was nice and the jollof rice was ok, the chicken meal was a joke. £9 for one drumstick and rice!? Come on guys, you need to make the portion size much bigger and not serve a drumstick as a main meal. I live in London, it should be much cheaper up there. Very disappointing!

Dropped in for lunch as I was working around the corner and fancied trying this place. Friendly reception, OK decor but I sat outside. I was the only customer at the time so lacked atmosphere, perhaps a sign, but took that to be my late lunch and it's a little off the beaten track. Asked for what they recommended and ended up with the Jollof and took a glass bottle of Coke Zero. A monochrome, plate of food didn't get me salivating but was tasty enough and had a decent level of spice and I guess was a little different. The sole chicken drumstick covered in a pepper sauce was well cooked...as in bordering on dry but edible. I enjoyed the plantain and the mountain of rice. Once I received the bill of £9 I was a little shocked and then on reflection disappointed. The value for money is non-existent given the ONE chicken drumstick half a banana and some rice in a home cooked style. Frankly, I feel we cook better meals at home. Sadly for this reason I won't be back for fear of feeling a bit ripped off again. Shame.

Food came out fresh, tasty and made with care. We ate it all. Would've eaten the paper plate if that's what they served it on. We had room for the fried puff puffs as dessert. I happened to pass by this restaurant somewhat off the main roads a few days ago, just a short walk away from the Grafton. It was my first time eating African food, and I was simply stunned at how delicious and different it was. I was the only customer, and the owner took extra time explaining the menu to me and making recommendations. Service was very quick. The Moin-Moin is an absolute must. Somewhere between sweet and savoury, a great starter. I had rice with goat meat and fried plantain. The meat was beyond buttery and tasty, as though it had been stewed for hours on the bone.

Why are the prices so inflated? Why are the portion sizes stingy for such mediocre food? Why do some staff members have facial expressions like sour limes? I spent a small fortune in this eatery (I can’t call it a restaurant. The decor is terrible for one as is the location and I’m concerned about food hygiene standards), and it was not value for money or indeed culinary excellence. I can safely say that this establishment is allowed to get away with this because it is the only west African food place in Cambridge. I expected better. I was sorely disappointed. Save your money, make a West African friend, and cajole them into cooking for you. The experience will be much better.

We travelled to Cambridge and my young son was extremely keen to try Africfood given the reviews. What a terrible experience. For £7.50 you get one piece of goat ' meat' ( bone surrounded by a minuscule amount of meat) with a lot of rice. He was extremely disappointed and I was kind of furious. This is really a bit of a scam. In a market with lots of amazing food stalls, why would anyone spend their money here for a ridiculous amount of goat curry.
