Nice food and atmosphere. Would recommend.

Came at 5.30 on Saturday, didn't reserve a table but lots were already reserved. Lovely vibrant atmosphere, we ordered the fruit beer which was absolutely incredible. Then ordered an Albert's platter between two (hungry and big appetites!) Wow, we were very very impressed, I wasn't expecting such quality food if I'm honest, we were very pleasantly surprised. Fully recommend the food here, very very nice! 2 pints and the platter cost £35, which for two was absolutely incredible value for such good food. Will be back!

First time here had an amazing sausage, second time they couldn't handle the simple request of "no sauce"

We got there at 6.45 pub was absolutely rammed ,went to bar to get a drink told the barmaid we had a table booked so took my card for a tab ,she went away came back took us into the dining room and never saw her again, wasn't told we had to go to bar to order nothing had to fetch menus ourselves, 15mins later I went to ask a server Logan who was most apologetic and said it was because of the show next door which we knew nothing about ,why do they take the booking if they can't meet them ?? So paid for drinks and left after being told 45mins wait fir food!!! It was my partners birthday absolutely diabolical service not impressed at all !!!

Couple of cask ales and ciders.

Booked for a group of 10 of us, day before New Year's eve. The atmosphere was great, food was delicious and the cocktails were beautiful. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Steer clear if you have any form of Disability the manageress refused to serve me food, mine arrived then she took it away as I'm disabled

The meals arrived and the Waitress said nearly dropped it thrusting my meal towards me, staff was rude , i ate my dinner on my own , should eaten together not happy worst restaurant ever, my partner disabled and made more food ,refused to give to him , you should be ashamed treating disabled man bad

Can be a hit and miss depending on the waiters and some of the food sounds better on the menu than it should.

Great place to just pop in for a drink or a bite to eat. Especially if you like German. Attentive staff and great variety of drinks and food. Definitely a go to place if looking for a night out a little different.

First visit to Einstein’s on Friday night before watching Simon Brodkin at The Winding Wheel. Pre ordered our food for our party of ten. We were waiting over 50 minutes to receive our food and when it did eventually arrive three members of our party were disappointed with their meals. My wife spoke to Amber, the Manager and she was exceptional at dealing with our complaint. On the whole,Staff were helpful in guiding us on which drink we would like in a Stein and let us sample first. Food was delicious-maybe a steak pie would be better served on a plate rather than a bowl-just a suggestion. Our first visit left us all thinking yes we would return but that was all down to the professionalism and first class customer relations by your manager, Amber. We were all impressed by her and the way she ensured we all left happy and invited us back after the comedy show. She clearly suits that role and deserves recognition from her boss because staff like Amber are rare and need to be appreciated and praised for going above and beyond in their role.

I absolutely love this place. The music is great and fun. The staff so friendly and helpful and the food and beer fantastic. I cannot recommend highly enough and we are quite difficult customers to please. My wife used to run one of the biggest food festivals in the Country so we have a bit of experience in the industry. We only went by chance on a three night holiday and went back three nights on the trot. Met so many wonderful Chesterfield people. Einsteins thank you so much for making us so welcome.

OK.. had a great time at the Rocky Horror Brunch. Sandra was top notch. Our glass was never empty. Rocky horror was silent on the TV whilst normal.music was played. Yes the film has talking but that's what people payed for. Play the film other punters wouldn't have minded. They did after asking played the sound track. Small gripe on a brilliant event. Thankyou Sandra. I was soooo drunk

Attended on a Tuesday night,so is pretty quiet, however staff are friendly and helpful. Their Albert platter sharer was more than enough food for 2 people, we took a takeaway box home with the leftovers. Definitely worth seeing on a busier evening to find out what the atmosphere is like

I hsve been to Einsteins on a few occasions and it never disappoints. Most recently we went for the Dorty Dancing bottomless brunch, was so much fun from start to finish.

There was four of us ,each one of us ordered a different meal ,each meal was cooked and served to perfection. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a enjoyable evening,many thanks to all the staff.

Amazing food, had a little wait for it to all come out but was in a large group. Wasn't very busy but still a good atmosphere. Reasonably priced.

Service not good ,meat pie grisly.

Didn't manage to fulfil our food order. The missing hummus was replaced with garlic mayo🤔 and didn't let us know until it was bought to the table! Shy of Goats cheese on our chosen pizza too. Maybe it was poor menu choices but won't be going back.

I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could! I’m a fan of Einsteins but this weekend, a friend and I did the 80’s brunch. Didn’t really know what to expect but it was so much fun! If you’re looking for a way to celebrate or just to have a fun time, can’t recommend this brunch enough! Cocktails flowed (as did the Prosecco and beer) and the food was delicious (happily recommend smashed avo on toast!). Staff were fantastic too. Can’t wait for the next one!

Been here a few times and food was always good. However the last time we were there the service was really poor... I hope they sort this out as food is good... Some of my guests said they will not return due to the service.

We were in Chesterfield for a wedding and we had a few hours to kill and we’re starving! The bride’s groom suggested Einstein’s and it was definitely worth the recommendation! I had a fuerric pizza with a side of coleslaw! Very flavourful and reasonable prices! You have to order drinks and food at the bar and pay when you do so! Highly recommend!

Having called into Einstein's sister pub (which wasn't serving food) we crossed the churchyard. Absolute gem of a place. Excellent German beer and food. Not what you might expect in Chesterfield. The service was also excellent from the young staff. Word of warning: the food is very hearty. You'll not want a starter.

We visited here after an abysmal pride after party in a nearby venue. Happily, we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff and a very modern and Bavarian venue. There is a plethora of Germanic beers on tap and the staff seemed very accommodating in us sampling beers until we found the right Stein for us! The atmosphere inside is lively and this is certainly carried on outside with an inviting beer garden. Overall, I’d you’re a local or visiting the city as we are, I’d highly recommend a visit to this lovely place!

UPDATED REVIEW: Decided to take a couple of stars off my review score (see previous review below) because the last couple of times we've been it's been a bit of a downer because of the staff. One time i got the impression that they'd all fallen out with each other and this latest time the person behind the bar made it clear that they really didn't want to be there and generally bummed us out. I'm not expecting them to do cartwheels but they could at least pretend to be vaguely interested (to be fair though one of the staff members we spoke to was perfectly fine). Also, apparently they no longer sell the ABK Pilsner despite this still being on the menu, so there's less choice in terms of what's available. MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: We've been here a few times and would really recommend it. Great food and beer and the staff have always been v friendly and helpful. We've only ever been in the day time but there's always been a nice relaxed vibe and the beer garden is excellent too. Can't fault it so thanks a lot Einsteins!

Spent most of our evening here on a works leaving do, we were given a side room for our team, great feature type wall made from what appeared to be planks of wood.. Good decor! Great food with good sizes! Drinks were priced well and they had a good selection of beer and spirits and wine.. Which I love because I like a flavoured vodka! 👏 👌 Toilets were nice and clean. Staff were friendly and nicely dressed. Would definitely go again and the whole team agreed! Thanks guys! 👏 👌

8 of us visited Einsteins at 17:15 prior to going to see a show in Chesterfield at 19:30. Things started out OK and then gradually went from bad to worse. 2 of us ordered pork knuckle which we were told would take 40 minutes. This was at 17:25. At 18:25 nothing had arrived so I went to chase it up. The lad in charge had to keep apologising as things kept going wrong. It looked like there was a new barman, who actually did his best by keeping fairly calm as the bar became busier. He did however need some support and I asked the lad in charge if he'd consider going behind the bar! A third member of staff just stood chatting at the bar! Re-training needed, but I won't return here.

Came here on a Friday night, staff served us very quickly even though it was fairly busy and they were polite & friendly. Great atmosphere in the place but if you're looking for a quiet place to eat, either choose somewhere else or sit outside. We both had a hotdog and fries, which honestly wasn't spectacular. The food was rather bland and the hot dog/bun was very dry, we also both had to ask for sauces that were supposed to come with it, which she immediately brought to us when asked. We would probably return and try something else off the menu. Salted caramel coffee martini was absolutely fantastic though and my partner loved his mango cider!

Came to relieve the night before with a bite to eat and a small large hair of the dog. Summer Peach cocktail was divine and woke up the food belly which was not disappointed. Jack Daniels bbq ribs NOM. Followed with pork fillet wrapped in Prosciutto with a creamy mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes and wilted spinach. OOOOH NOM!! We will definitely be coming back!!

Unclean & flat beer. Unfortunately you can tell this place is never deep cleaned, also my pint of Jaipur was flatter than John Smith's smooth.

This pub has an excellent selection of beer and a wide range of food concentrating on German classics. We tried a Sharing Board and Apple Strudel, the meat is well cooked and tasty but it would benefit from a little more contrast perhaps removing the uninspired lonely burger patty and adding more coleslaw or sauerkraut. The Sharing Board is enough to satisfy three with perhaps the addition of some sides. The Apple Strudel is not worth your time the pastry was tough and the filling was not that tasty, you can get a better Strudel at Lidl. The atmosphere is good although it is quite loud which is not helped by all the hard surfaces. Einstein's is a good stop off if you fancy some different beers with a cheeky burger or wurst to fuel your evening out but the food menu itself is not really worth the trip.

Proper old fashioned customer service. There was a problem with our food, we spoke to Joshua who absolutely smashed it with perfect customer service. We couldn't ask for more. Joshua was brilliant and we thank you very much. The food once sorted was really good and he checked in with us to make sure. Definitely recommend 👌

OK for a family dinner with kids.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Usually go on a Monday night for the quiz. Cocktails 2 4 10 5-7pm which was so good. Tried most items on the menu and never had an issue. Great atmosphere and service

Was in here yesterday. Great service, good beer and great food. Got a Cheesefurter, Vegetarian Currywurst, apple strudel, a soft drink and a stein of beer. All superb!!👍🏻 Highly recommend this place. Will be back at some point.

Came here for a friend's birthday last night, beautifully presented food, amazing cocktails and a friendly atmosphere. Very busy all night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, will be back again!

I'd heard good reviews of Einsteins ever since it opened, but didn't actually go in until a few days ago. It has a lovely, relaxed pub atmosphere, but the food and drink selection is different to your average pub. I had the pork schnitzel burger - it was very nice and the chips were perfect. I definitely couldn't eat it as a burger though! It was 'proper' pork, and took quite a lot of effort to cut and chew. I probably would try a different burger, but wouldn't have this one again. I would try the schnitzel meal instead though. The cocktails selection was great, and the 3 I tried were very nice! I'm just slightly confused as to why the cocktail prices don't seem to be displayed anywhere (we had to ask before ordering). I didn't try any beers, but the selection looked brilliant. And they certainly offer something different by giving the option of a stein! Will definitely visit again at some point.

Amazing Food - This place is NEVER 'a let down!' The atmosphere suits all ages aswell.

I wouldn’t recommend “Einstein’s” to anyone. Service leaves much to be desired. The waiter brought dirty plates when we asked another waiter to bring new ones we still got dirty plates. You need to call the waiter a lot of times otherwise he will not notice you. Also, they don’t give the wi-fi password to their guest, so if you are running out of your mobile data, it is better to look for another place)

Could only give a three star, the staff were great that were there serving drinks. The only downside was the food, felt like it had been overdone slightly but on the whole a nice place to visit

Popped in for some pre theatre food, excellent staff, food was cooked to perfection and served hot and the beer was good too.

Decent beer, nice food. Service was fine. However, I had a chicken and prosciutto salad; It's now the next day and I have a bad stomach, it's basically given me the runs. I saw another review about people having a bad stomach the day after eating here too. Some of my salad did taste a bit odd, but I just put it down to eating it whilst drinking the beer. Turns out that some of the food might not have been good to eat.

Probably the best bar in Chesterfield, great selection of beers, cocktails and cider. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and good food. Always worth a visit if you're in the area

Food has gone down hill but the prices have gone up pork snitchell are as hard as rock pre cooked everything is now deep fried. Even the bread crumbs don't stick 5 onion rings for £4.70? Sorry but it is what it is.

The place seemed really friendly and welcoming but servers repeatedly tried to give us other people's orders and then telling us it was "definitely our order". Then servers tried to give our drinks to every table but ours. We got fizzy water instead of still. After an hour of waiting for food, they didn't know where the order was (possibly given to someone else) we asked for a refund and left. The staff were very apologetic and even offered us a free take away pizza and judging by the other reviews, our experience is not typical but I think you need to pick your night

Been to Einstein's a lot over the years and have always enjoyed it, but the last few times customer service has gone downhill. There was a long wait time for drinks or food orders today. We did come in early just after it opened, it took some time just to get our order taken. There was a long food wait too. Food was great, but my side of onion rings was overcooked and dry. I told the manager, he offered a free drink so I asked can I get the money off a dessert. He offered a free dessert that was nice of him, but no one ever came to do dessert, a second drink order or take the drity plates away after waiting a long time. We decided just to go, really disappointed because food is really good there, just poor customer service. Most staff kept messing about in the toilets too for some odd reason.

Great food and service for a family night out

On satursay 23rd Jult 2022 I visired this Chesterfielg german brew pub near the train station I was vastly impressed It had great vatirty of german beers on draught and hand pumped very full of clents, a great atmosphere and great staff Come here when in chesterfield near the train station after 6 oclock at nighg You will not be dissapointed

Ordered drinks they wanted us to pay before the made them making us feel like we wasn’t trusted, was told food was being served then they changed their minds and said it wasn’t

Einstein’s was recommended to us by local people and you know, they didn’t lie. This place is amazing if you only want to snack something together with a drink. Hot dogs over here are the best hot dogs I’ve tried in UK. Decent place.

Nice pub in the centre of Chesterfield, great selection of beers and ciders (the mango cider is particularly delicious!), with an extensive menu and plenty of vegan options. However we did feel the food probably isn't as good as it used to be a year or two ago- and therefore the prices feel a little steep for the quality received. Otherwise a good place to stop for a drink or two in town.
