Efes Restaurant in Tower Hamlets

I booked a table for 14 people for a business dinner. The restaurant emailed me to confirm the booking immediately after. I had to invite a few more people and emailed the restaurant if it's possible to change the booking to 20 people instead. No response 5 days. I called them today (the booking was in one week time) and asked if it's possible to change this or if someone could respond back to my email. I have been told this can be changed to 20 people but I will have to pay £10/person. That was absolutely fine with me as I know you need some sort of clarity when you have a big group of people but I had no bank details/confirmation email to do so. The person on the phone was abrupt and wasn't able to explain how I should pay this if I have no details. Then he just told me he was going to cancel the booking for the 14 people. I agreed it was the best option. I was politely ending the phone call and the person working in the restaurant just hang up on me. Extremely impolite and unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend.

Been to Turkey many times over the years and one of the main reasons is the tasty food The Efes food is as good as that found in Turkey Great food and friendly people

Dans ce restaurant tout est parfait, l accueil, la qualité des plats, le service, des serveurs très professionnels. Nous avons eu la chance de croiser le patron de l établissement, celui-ci a été aux petits soins et très attentif. Il n a pas hésité à échanger avec nous tout en nous faisant découvrir différents plats. Venez découvrir cet endroit qui vous fera vous sentir bien.

We pre-booked for an evening meal. Food and service was in general quite good. However, the server's were always checking to see if we had finished - so they could remove our plates etc. They even began wiping the table, more in preparation for the next sitting than cleaning our mess. Finally we were basically asked to leave as they had other reservations. All in all we stayed a little over an hour. I know the business needs to make £, but at no time were we told (either on confirmation or when we were seated) there was a limit on the time. Thought it was poor. And we still had to pay the service charge!

Lovely restaurant. Expensive fit out. Staff very helpful & friendly . Food disappointing. Not like other Turkish food I’ve had. Starter of lambs liver previously cooked and reheated. Dried up and very disappointing. Main of lamb kleftico again disappointing: very tender but lamb ?( or mutton?). Poor flavour . Won’t be going again. Pity as I was really looking forward to trying it .

I stumbled across Efes whilst looking for food and away with work. It looked busy when I walked past so I went in. I wasn’t disappointed!! It had a great feel to it, really friendly staff, great service and amazing food!! The food came really quickly and was great quality. If you like Turkish food and meat dishes I would definitely recommend. I’ll be back

First of all I would like to point out they do competitions but do not announce winners instead delete posts. We decided to visit to see what it was all about. Disappointed, poor service and chicken was pink inside.

The worst place i have eve been. The lamb doner wrap is 10.95 but when you are planing seats in , they did not say anything that is price is different when you are seating in. Please do not go there. This “restaurant “is cheaters!
