We went over for lunch in the week before university started, so it was pretty empty, but that's probably not the same during school time. The dishes we tried were really good! The price was also pretty ok considering the quantity!

Service was quick and easy to order over the Kommune app. Food was just ok, chicken teriyaki was flavourful and fresh... the Sushi platter just didn't feel fresh... both the sushi and ginger felt dry and like it had been set out for some time.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this is the best sushi I’ve had from a mile off and better priced than restaurants I’ve been to before, it’s safe to say I’m hooked! 😍😍 and the owner let me know it’s the first authentic Japanese restaurant owned by a Japanese person in sheffield. And could tell from how well seasoned the sushi is. I had the dynamite dragon roll. It’s abit on the spicy side but if you can handle a little heat, I highly recommend.

Expensive, small portions and mediocre taste. There are so many other, better options out there.

The shop is inside Kommune canteen. The mixed sushi set allowed me to enjoy a variety of sushi taste. They were all delicious. The cashier served me very politely. Perfect!

Counter sales in food court. Menu is nigiri-focused. If you are after rolls, you're in luck. If you are after sashimi selection, this isn't that kind of place. Good at what it is.

Ordered at 7:15pm as delivery was stated as 25-55min. Order confirmed and delivery time pushed out to 70-90min. Order actually arrived at 9:30pm, 2hrs 15min for delivery. Terrible service and the gyoza and takoyaki was cold. Will not order again.

Ordered on Just Eat. Food never arrived and the shop won’t take calls - turns out they just closed. Will try to get my money back. First time ordering from them and never again. Ridiculous.

I have been a regular customer since the first day it opened. Their ingredients are of the highest quality. They have also recently opened a new place called Roku, alongside their nearby other place in Cutlery Works. There is a reason why these guys have been around for over 10 years while others have failed. They are simply the best!

Ordered a takeaway the other week from here, it came quickly (to S2) and was so delicious. The 2 x handmade rolls and 2 x maki rolls came to £27.70 with delivery - so fairly reasonable. Would definitely recommend for freshness of the fish and quality of the sushi.

Food was tasty but the sushi seaweed was a bit chewy

They couldn’t find my address, they tried to ring me, however failed as it wouldn’t connect even though just eat has my number. So when I knew something wasn’t right, I rang up and wanted to know what was happening. Food went back to the restaurant and in a nutshell, I could have my food cold which I knew it would be or the food could stay at the restaurant and I would still have to pay. Either way I was unhappy as I would get a refund for something which is my fault. I want to say as well, just eat was part the problem as they have my number but when they rang me on there systems, it wouldn’t go through.

No updates either. Had to ring up myself to chase this. Second time this as happened too.

Food was tasty: the cold things came cold but the hot things came just about warm and the delivery was later than stated. Perhaps think about packaging hot and cold food separately and in appropriately insulated containers.

I love this place and order sushi there all the time. Decided to try something new today by ordering the teriyaki salmon rice bowl and ended up with food poisoning. Two stars because I'll probably go back as I'm a fiend for sushi, but no more rice bowls for me 😔

This is without doubt the best sushi I have ever eaten it’s super fresh and full of flavour, with the last order the delivery was very late and the manager rang us personally to address the issue and allowed us a free box of sushi which was very kind and gracious received. This sushi tastes as though a lot of love and passion has gone into making it.it truly is a food art. Always enjoy food from edo sushi they should be proud of the standard of food they produce.

It was ridiculously late and customer service refuse to refund for cold food. Just when I think the service cannot be any shittier.

Amazing food. Really great quality. Shame it was late - the restaurant updated us and extended the delivery window by 15 minutes but the delivery was 15 minutes later than this, so 30 minutes late in the end. Despite the lateness, the food was well worth the wait. Maybe just ring the restaurant in advance before ordering to see how busy they are if your order really needs to come on time. Overall would highly recommend.

Incredible sushi, best in Sheffield

I wish I could give -5 stars. We ordered £50 worth of food at a reasonable time on a Thursday evening at 8pm. It never arrived, infact Edo Sushi decided to wait until 9:31pm to cancel our order. Made us wait 1 hour and a half. Without even a phone call to explain why or an apology. Within that time we could have ordered from another sushi place had there'd been better management. If it was busy, why take another order? If it was late, then don't take orders you can't carry out. So disappointed as we have heard and seen so many good things from Edo Sushi but this delivery experience has been horrific. We were left hungry and resorted to McDonald's..

Attached photo is what 13.5£ gets you at Edo Sushi. Needless to say one of us stayed hungry. Salmon katsu was OK, not your typical katsu though.

The sushi was really good and I would strongly recommend that you stick to that. The salmon teriyaki had honey in it - far too sweet and not at all like teriyaki. And be prepared using the app on a phone is a nightmare to order. Once the sushi order was ready it was worth it though.

I can say by far the best sushi place in sheffield honestly I've tried few other places not going to name them and I can definitely tell the difference and freshness of the sushi it's so nice mouth watering delicious sushi wow I'm totally addicted😊lovely chef lover workers to. I give 1 star review not because of the taste. The taste was good but the quantity of the food is ridiculous. In your photo of chicken katsu curry you show a nice huge steak in a big box full of rice and vegetables. What I received was x2 or even x3 smaller. Sushi size was ridiculously small as well. It was way overpriced. I feel tricked.

First visit to Edo sushi and I have to say absolutely outstanding, service was really friendly and helpful and I cant big the sushi up enough, really beautiful, fragrant, fish served with proper hand grated, fresh wasabi and aromatic pickled ginger. Cant wait for our next visit, just wish we lived closer for delivery

My first time ordering from this place. Food arrived 45 minutes early so I was a bit wary of what it would be like. But the food tasted amazing, flavours were beautiful and the chicken was cooked beautiful. My only negative was the rice was a bit clumpy but it still tasted lovely. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Great food and menu but the sashimi donburi was a bit disappointing. It cost £17 and had very little fish, their poke bowl in cutlery works is much much better and costs £10. Also, the soy sauce sachets were in the actual bowl - had to dig them out of the rice 🤣 So, next time I'll stick to my usuals.

The best sushi I ever had, once you try this one you won't go back! If you are undecided about which sushi to get, I highly recommend the "sumo selection": it has a bit of everything and will satisfy your appetite. Takoyaki and Gyoza Dumplings are very well worth a try as a side dish as well!

I have never regretted a penny spent at Edo Sushi, outstanding quality food and friendly staff. The best sushi in Sheffield.

Delivered was 15 mins late, however it arrived by black cab so not sure whether that’s normal or if there was an issue tonight. Gyoza were cold and needed reheating. However overall the food was lovely. Sushi was lovely and fresh.

Fantastic little restaurant and takeaway. I have eaten in and out here, and every time, the sushi is so fresh and flavourful, and the presentation is second to none, whether it is being delivered to your table or to your door. Takeaway comes in fully recyclable boxes too, and while hot food options may be somewhat limited on the menu, I have tried both the teriyaki rice and the katsu curry and they are divine.

Food came early and really hot. Had katsu curry, gyoza and pumpkin croquettes all were really good. Would definitely recommend.

I visit here a bit for the lunch deal when I'm in the office,obv 2020 has put the brakes on that so we ordered a takeaway for a payday treat , yummy katsu curry and some sushi were a perfect treat ...hopefully 2021 will see a welcome return to out lunchtime trips

Mixed up one of the sides so our order was wrong but the food was 10/10

I don’t even mind that it was late because it was so good. And to be honest, I’m happy they’re busy enough to be late, especially during these unsure times. Edo have the best sashimi in Sheffield hands down. I look forward to dining in at CW as soon as possible. I’ve never had less than perfect food from the team. We have this nearly every week. Hands down the best sushi in sheffield- the tuna sashimi and teriyaki salmon particularly are incredible. Everyone in sheffield should try this place at least once! I do miss your miso soup, but hasnt swayed my loyalty in the slightest :)

Food was good but delivery driver was consistently rude and failed to read the instructions on the delivery. Also did dangerous driving on the dual carriageway by reversing backwards down a busy one way road.

Love this place! Normally eat in person but was craving it so much decided to order it. Arrived when it predicted and was wrapped well
