Edie's Kitchen in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Always tasty, interesting and innovative in his cooking, Nigel the chef surpassed himself yesterday evening with the best fish dish I have ever tasted. Hake, butter beans, pancetta, cauliflower and curry oil. The drizzle of curry oil around the edge of the plate was a stroke of genius! As a regular local customer we are delighted to be sitting at table here again enjoying both the food, ambience and excellent service. Thank you Nigel, Kelly and the team for making it such a wonderful experience every time. Our friends always want to eat there when they visit us.

We celebrated our Golden wedding anniversary on May 29th. 50 years ago we had our honeymoon in Paris and until Covid that was where we had hoped to spend our Golden anniversary, Instead we opted for Cornwall, staying in Looe and used Tripadvisor to choose a suitable restaurant. It is in a modest shopping parade cheek by jowl with various takeaways but when you go in it is bright welcoming and chic The food was as good as we would have had in Paris . The service was very friendly and we even each got a complimentary glass of bubbly as compensation for not being in Paris. My husband had Vegetable bhajis, cashew butter, pickled orange and I had a crab souffle followed by slow roasted shoulder of lamb with red cabbage for him and Free range chicken, fondant potato, smoked aubergine, walnuts,pomegranate, feta for me , then I had Dark chocolate terrine, passion fruit, vanilla fairy floss and he had Cheese of the day, lavosh cracker, chutney. The Lamb shoulder was the Day's special. Many thanks to Emily and her team.The restaurant is inclusive and welcoming , and had guests of all ages. If you are inear St Austell and want somewhere for a special occassion which gives you first class food and wine but doesnt cost a bomb, this is the place.

First time visit, taking my Mum out for a treat. The place is clean, modern and comfortable. Staff were really friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humour! The food was cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. Something for everyone on the menu. This is the first time I have been so moved by a dining experience, that I have felt motivated to write a review. Enough said.

This was our first meal out since lockdown. Edie’s is our most favourite restaurant in St Austell and we have enjoyed so many meals there.The food was absolutely stunning and beautifully presented. The staff are always attentive to the customers needs and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely meal for two after a week away in Cornwall. Such a relaxed, friendly restaurant with exquisite food! Standout dishes - the Hake and Blackcurrant soufflé. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely meal at Edies. The team were very welcoming, menu appealing and the food was fantastic. We had all 3 courses and it went down a treat. Don’t be put off by a non-conventional location, it was a fantastic find. Point to note, however, make sure you book well in advance.

We had a great lunch here just after inside dining reopened. We were the only family in there at the time and they may us feel so welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Kelly, and the food was amazing. We had the brunch menu and the fixed price menu. All excellent quality meals with great flavours.

Had dinner on the Thursday evening of our holiday. Restaurant was busy, but we had booked well in advance. The staff were very friendly and looked after us really well. We had 3 courses. There wasn't masses of choice, but we were more than happy with what was available. All three courses were absolutely delicious and we couldn't fault a thing. The dessert of Blackcurrant Souffle with lemon ice-cream and creme anglaise was one of the best desserts I have ever had! Would definitely recommend and would pay a return visit if in the area.

Absolutely loved our dinner, all 4 of us loved our beautiful mains and desserts. Staff were also extremely attentive. Cannot recommend Edie's highly enough and would absolutely come back if we were in the area again!

So, the wife heard Dawn French recommend this place on a pod cast, so of course we had to go, but they were just doing take out because of lock down. She messaged them and said we will take out, bring plates and eat in the car. However they arranged a table outside. We had the lamb, done to a turn, perfect roast and plenty of tasty veg. The owners and staff could not have been more welcoming. I had orange sponge with pistachio and clotted cream. It was perfect. If in the area pop in, but it is popular, so try to book.

Giving a shout out to the takeaway service. The service was very prompt and the meal presented in a Socially distanced way. The food was hot and the containers were designed to be recyclable as far as possible.We had roasts, one pork and one sirloin. Both were excellent with good quality meat beautifully cooked. The selection of vegetables was first class, tasty and brought colour to the plate. We had the crab starter which we loved and were able to put main course containers in a low oven to keep warm. Quantities would satisfy the hungriest of us and good value.So full, we saved the pudding for afternoon tea and very nice it was too.An experience to be repeated as we dream of inside dining.

We had a booking for a take out lunch on Easter Sunday for two of us. At literally the last minute we asked if we could up the order and of course it was no problem. They catered for us without a blink of an eye. It was as delicious as always and they could not have have had more kindness & understanding. This is our lovely local restaurant to treasure and enjoy. It is fantastic.

Take away lunch was excellent. Good quality, good quantity and reasonably priced. Looking forward to when we get back to normal and we can dine in.

Once again during this lockdown, we have decided to have a takeaway meal at least once a week to keep our spirits up and today (Sunday), we have had Sunday lunch from Edie's Kitchen, the fourth time over the past couple of months. We usually have the vegi option and without doubt, its one of the best meals in this area. The food is excellent, especially the red cabbage this week, as is the service, both my wife and I thoroughly recommend it, we shall continue ordering until lockdown has been relaxed.

We have been to Edies Kitchen many X for dinner and each visit has exceeded the one before, they have got better and better- and thats with the same Chef/Patron so how does that work? Who cares? They have been forced to close since Jan 30th 2020 Anyway i am not a take-away aficionado . Apart from White River Fish & Chips - Carrying home a 3-Course 5* Star meal cannot work- or can it-? it most certainly can and did. How can it stay warm? Will I need a microwave ( Hate them) or a Bain Marie? DO NOT FRET>3 X courses: Choice of 2 Dishes per course . Vegan and Vegetarians well taken care of. We went for the path of least resistance. Read this and salivate imagine these words turned into the edible reality. that they were. 1.Cornish crab cake, Charred corn and green onion risotto/ chilli oil 2.Moroccan Chicken cauliflower cous cous, coriander tomato/ cucumber+ 2 Perfect flatbreads 3.Dark chocolate brioche bread and butter pudding with creme anglaise and clotted cream . Well they were and some. I am a 63 year old Gourmand- i know good food when I eat it- and I have just had it- and in generous portions ( i am not sure Cornish people have to have the max plate cover - although i have been assured by Cornish restauranteurs that they do) but absolutely no worry on that score. I salute this family run operation for producing this Level of food- within the Madhouse Crazy Covid Limitations they are forced to operate.3 Cheers for Edies- and 3 cheers for all the restauranteurs in Poland and Italy who can see through the misguided Governance that seeks to suppress that which they cannot control .Please support Edies and all the struggling and fighting Cornish Hospitality outlets , all those that have folded and all those that are waiting for the GovernmentClowns/ Sage to release them back into a world of fun and life worth living. I understand Edies will be carrying on this magnificent undertaking for the coming few weekends. I will be there again next weekend.

Stunning three course dinner well packaged and easy collection service all three bourses were well prepared and looked stunning Tastes were superb

I have eaten many excellent Sunday roasts in top restaurants around the country. I can honestly say that Edie's Kitchen is the best I've had! Tender pork, moreish sides, crispy-soft potatoes. Get the trifle available! Everything was full of flavour yet not overly-rich. One of those meals where you're sad when it's over.

Just tried Edie's Sundays lunch for Valentines day. Had three courses and they were all excellent. Ordering on line was easy, pick up was easy. Would recommend it.

Just had a delicious takeaway meal. Starters and mains both delicious, and just enough. Glad I didn't order a sweet too, it would have been a step too far.I look forward to the restaurant re-opening, but until then their takeaway is a very acceptable substitute.

We had another dineaway tonight. Ordering was straightforward online and the food was absolutely delicious and so carefully prepared.Pick up was quick and the food was still lovely and hot by the time we got home. Good value for money. Well done Nigel, Kelly and their team you never disappoint

Lockdown is certainly brighter when there is a dineaway from Edie’s Kitchen to look forward to and my meal tonight did not disappoint. The chicken Caesar croquettes were packed full of flavour. The Braised beef feather blade was tender and served with a silky smooth and creamy mash, samphire and a delicious garlic and parsley sauce. All cooked and presented perfectly. I look forward to a time when we can get back to some kind of normal so that I can enjoy eating at Edie’s again but for now I shall continue to enjoy the delicious food from home and support this amazing local, family business.

As ever the food here does not disappoint, in fact some of the best i have ever had , on a par with the best , fab front of house staff too

We had dinner here recently, and what a delight. In full view of the kitchen, so nothing to hide there! Started with divine crab cakes with risotto, wonderful, and a melt in the mouth filet steak to follow, one of the best I have had in a long time. The staff were very attentive, and there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Would highly recommend, and we will return if in the area again

visited tonight party of 4. The food was superb, and one of our group described dessert as the best they had ever had. 1 member wanted the steak well done which unfortunately took a couple of attempts, but the staff handled it brilliantly (yes that was us). we will come back and if you are in the area do visit. Brilliant place, loved it.

This place has been on our list to visit for a while and I wish we had made it sooner. On a wet December night, it had a lovely warm atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the food faultless. We ordered from the Christmas menu with excellent quality ingredients and well cooked dishes. The extra little touches were also appreciated. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others.

We ate here on Saturday night. The staff were so polite and friendly and it was interesting watching the chefs plating up dishes. They were taking so much care. The food was delicious. I had fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and then managed to squeeze in a banana soufflé. Xx

Yet again Edie’s Kitchen continues to delight. Not only when fully open but again now. Two of their Dineaway meals for the last two weekends have been superb. Our food last night was great, both starter and mains, and have kept our desserts for today!

Well we have enjoyed a few months of being "allowed" back into Edie's restaurant but we are relegated to dine-away again by Boris. But it is still as marvellously delicious as always, such a pleasure to have a wonderful restaurant like this on our doorstep. Absolutely fabulous food every single time, I just need some plating lessons as my attempts are not nearly as pretty as Nige's!

This wonderful family run business exceeded our expectations! The food was divine in every way possible from the presentation to the delicious flavours. Welcoming, friendly staff and a menu with a variety of choices. Will definitely return on our next visit to Cornwall!

Back to lockdown takeaways from Edie’s Kitchen. Amazing standard of cooking from Nigel and crew means I can enjoy fine dining in my own home. Thank you for the tastes and presentation. Until we can go back into the restaurant this is a takeaway not to miss.

My husband and I visited Edie’s Kitchen for lunch on a bit of a whim after my sister had heard Dawn French’s recommendation on the Table Manners Podcast. What a blooming good choice! We were blown away by the flavours for each of our courses; my husband’s Oxtail Ragu starter was especially delicious. The dark chocolate terrine was exceptional and the service was fantastic.Would certainly like to return.

We were lucky enough to get a table on the last day before the 2nd Covid lockdown. The management could have been forgiven for a very limited menu and service given the last serving for at least a month. We were wrong, complimentary lovely bread with crunchy salty butter followed by a tasty soup with cheese on toast. Main courses of Halibut and Coq-au-vin were delicious. Abby our waitress was great just the right amount of attention yet funSo the owners Nigel and Kelly must be good at what they do, well done themDavid and Trish. BathPS Abby needs another thank you as she rang me the next day to ask ‘had I lost a gold chain’? I had! I owe her.

We dropped into the area for a weekend break and were recommended this restaurant. Located at the end of a small, understated parade of shops we may easily have walked past if we hadn't already booked and what a mistake that would have been. Service excellent but the food was amazing and really made our day. Delicious oxtail starter which I never wanted to end. Fish cooked to perfection and each plate was simply excellent in its simplicity and combination of flavours. It was food that puts a smile on your face - already planning to go back next year.

We spent a very pleasant lunchtime at this restaurant. The service was excellent, the staff were very amenable and the food we had was fabulous. We had the vegetarian menu which had flare and imagination, this is such a change. If anyone wants a very enjoyable brunch, lunch or dinner don’t hesitate to try Edie’s.

Just gorgeous we enjoyed every minute the food was outstanding and the service was better. We heartily recommend it.

Visited for our last meal of the holiday after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, we were not disappointed. My daughter and I had scrambled egg, salmon and sourdough - absolutely delicious. Scrambled eggs cooked to perfection. Husband had Eggs Benedict, again perfectly poached eggs and very tasty Hollandaise sauce. My other daughter had the open fish finger sandwich, didn’t get to taste the fish but the pea purée and tartare sauce were amazing. The chef can certainly make the best of his produce. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Lovely clean toilets too with gorgeous smelling soap. Will definitely re visit when back in Cornwall. Thanks Edie’s kitchen, you’re doing something special ⭐️

Found this place via recommendation and on second time of trying (not a one to plan in advance when on holiday) got a table thankfully. A small but interesting menu that’s full of flavour. From the appetiser of homemade bread the tone is set with wonderful flavours throughout !

Superb food with amazing service. Well deserving of all the great reviews. Double baked lightest of cheese soufflés with a delicate crust. Perfectly cooked mains and as for the desserts ... we had to have three between the two of us! For me the soufflé combined with the yoghurt ice cream and crepe anglaise was awesome. The team worked so well together to look after us brilliantly. Staying locally? .... Do not miss this place. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Very Covid safe. Discreet little bottle of sanitiser on the tables. We saw them remaking one of the tables and the discreet but careful attention to detail was there for all to see.

Just been in this area for the past 2 weeks and was lucky enough to be recommended to this restaurant. We had eaten out a lot including the normal haunts in Padstow and surrounding area. This restaurant was bye far the best. It is in a parade of shops which reminded me very much of an American Mall. Don’t let this put you off because this place is all about the food and service. I had a fish soup, followed by the Coq au Vin and then the Soufflé. All were very very good and full time of flavour. We are back down in November and look forward to trying the brunch. Oh and the service was excellent.

This restaurant was a great find. We enjoyed a first-class meal with great service and friendly staff. The restaurant has an unassuming setting, situated in a parade of shops. However, don't be fooled, this is a great place to dine. When inside it was clear that reputation travels fast and that the locals know a culinary winner. We just wished we lived closer to St Austell! Our thanks to Kelly, Nigel and staff.

This restaurant is a little gem! The menu is small which to me is a bonus as the dishes are beautifully presented, cooked from fresh using locally source seasonal ingredients. Booking is advised as rightly so this restaurant gets booked up in advance. Looking forward to my next visit

Visited on Friday 9th October - early evening. Everything about this place is excellent. The food was really lovely and good value considering the high quality. The atmosphere was good. Cleanliness superb. The best thing about this place, the service. Every member of staff was attentive and wore a smile. It's an unassuming little venue, but we felt like valued and special customers. Well done everyone on that team - we will definitely be back.

We booked and visited for an evening treat and got it in spades.The menu was interesting, varied and fully explained by our delightful server.Our four meal were of equal excellence. This place is a must if you’re within striking distance. But book, it’s, righty, very popular.

We ate at Edie's Kitchen having seen the amazing reviews, and it all lived up to every expectation. The chicken breast was amazing, succulent, and accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes, Savoy cabbage and a lovely mushroom based sauce. My husband had the hake, equally good.I'm not a pudding person, normally, but spurred on by previous reviews, we both had the cherry souffle. Exceptional, and just the right size.We'd go back in a heartbeat the next time we're anywhere remotely nearby.

Had an excellent meal for 2 couples. Tables and surroundings are spotlessly cleaned. Superb little restaurant. We had an excellent meal here. The food is top class and the staff brilliant.There is an open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared, never seen such a calm kitchen. The food was amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant perfect so we could have a good conversation within a lively atmosphere. What really exceeded our expectations was the service. All staff went above and beyond expectations and made a 60th birthday dinner one to remember! Ate here twice during our trip to Cornwall and really enjoyed both meals. Sat at a table by the pass and loved watching the chefs at work. People in our party had the lamb, chicken and steak main courses, all of which were really excellent. Sticky toffee pudding and soufflé also highly recommended! Great, friendly service too. From the moment you walked in you knew it was going to be a fabulous evening. Every single member of staff was happy, professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The food was an absolute knock out, the crab and prawn linguine was to die for as was the chicken! Moving on to desert divine is not a good enough word! The souffle-cooked to perfection and out of this world taste. Only complaint is it's too far to drive to on a weekly basis-everywhere needs an Edie's Kitchen!!

This place is exceptional. The staff here are the happiest, friendliest, most professional people I have seen in a restaurant. Four of us had different starters and each one was sublime. The mains were also amazing. It deserves a Michelin star. Ace place, we will come back back to the area just to eat here again. Thank you!!

So, when I went on holiday in the area I researched good places to eat and the Tripadvisor rating for Edies kitchen was at the top. People mentioned the 'unattractive' parade of shops it is in but I want to tell everyone that the minute you walk through the door it is fabulous.Good service, fine food (divine souffle and a chef who can actually cook a steak) and a great ambience and in these days we must mention how clean it is.. We will 100% visit again and we told everyone in our B and B to go.The bill was a surprise, less than we thought as they don't rip you off for drinks.

Do not miss the opportunity to visit and enjoy the fantastic food at this hidden gem .Great service from excellent staff .From starters ,main and don’t miss the puddings ,all excellent and a nice selection of wines.

Called in for a light lunch today. Delightful young, waitress, polite and courteous. Parsnip and honey soup fantastic as was the cheese on toast which accompanied it. Other half had the salmon and scrambled egg and again that was faultless. First time we have been there but it certainly won't be the last. Highly recommend.

We booked a family dinner for 4 for my birthday and loved everything about Edie's Kitchen. Without doubt the best meal we have had in Cornwall. Super flavours, combinations and presentation and good quantities. Super-friendly staff, nice ambience and the added interest of the open plan kitchen. Superb!

Due to COVID-19 we’d not seen my sister and her husband for 6 months - When they were staying in Cornwall, Edie’s was the perfect place to meet up. A regular favourite haunt of ours pre-COVID it’s still a relaxed and delicious dining experience, with delightful staff and superb food. We had a wonderful meal pate/ soufflé, hake/ chicken, treacle tart, chocolate delice and cheese with an excellent white wine and local beer. We also appreciate all Edie’s have done to support the local community over the past 6 months.

We have eaten at Edie's on a couple of occasions and each time have really enjoyed our meal. The food is of a very high standard with a good variety. There is a lovely ambience in the restaurant and the staff are extremely friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

This was our first visit and we were so impressed by the lovely friendly and efficient service and the fantastic food which was great value. Everything was presented very well served hot and clearly cooked to order. It is a limited menu but everything was perfectly cooked. The soufflé starter was very tasty as was our main of Hake. We only wish that Edie’s was one of our local restaurants in Berkshire!

We were welcomed by the staff and shown to a table, fairly close to the open kitchen. I love seeing what's happening and food being plated up, but kitchens are usually noisy, not this one! The staff are friendly and attentive, without being pushy. They ensured we had everything we wanted. We felt comfortable, no concerns about covid procedures and could see tables and chairs being thoroughly cleaned as people left. There was the menu from the website, as well as specials to choose from. We had crab linguine starters, lamb rump (from the specials) and shared a cherry soufflé. The food was amazing, probably the best we've eaten. It was all full of flavour, well balanced and also looked fantastic. We've now found a new favourite place and will be back as often as possible!

Enjoyed a lovely meal with my partner at Edie's. We were welcomed with a smile by the staff, who were attentive and helpful throughout, and treated to some superb food served from an open kitchen.Both the location and decor inside are very unassuming, it didn't put us in mind of a fine dining experience - but when we started eating we both commented on how refreshing it was to have such a lovely meal without feeling our surroundings were pretentious.While not cheap, we definitely don't feel like we were being taken for a ride, and paid fairly for the quality of food and service on offer. After dinner coffee was very good alsoWe will be heartily recommending Edie's to anyone finding themselves in the area.

This place certainly didn’t disappoint. The set lunch is excellent value for money and every dish was delicious, from the focaccia with garlic confit, to the soufflé, the carrot tagine and the treacle tart, all were superb. The staff and service were also very good, will definitely return if we are in the area again. Ideal spot to walk down to Charleston harbour too!

Visited with three friends to this lovely little restaurant set in a row of shops. We found it charming, with great staff and outstanding food.

Fixed menu with limited choice and delivered brilliantly. The flavour of the simple chicken potato and cabbage was delicious. It was presented beautifully smelt incredible and tasted great. The chocolate dessert was intense and really well balanced with ginger coffee ice cream. Service was attentive and really welcoming. Perfect lunch.

Based on reviews, we visited on last night of our stay in Cornwall and, despite the not so smart exterior, it did not disappoint. Staff were welcoming and friendly which lent a relaxed feel to this unassuming restaurant, but they were super slick too with drinks and food served quickly. Menu short but everything on it was tempting and well priced. We were seated by the open kitchen and impressed with the quality of the process as well as the food itself. Great find which we might easily have missed / ignored if it hadn’t been reviewed, so thank you Tripadvisor!

Great food, special, different, outstanding quality and thought put into every dish, vegaterian dishes as creative and special as the meat and fish dishes. great service from the moment we booked right through the whole visit. We were caught in traffic rang them nothing was to much problem, just brillant. Style and ambience in restruarant just smart stylish.. Spot on

My wife and myself were in the area recently and were lucky to get a late booking - Kelly and her team provided a warm welcome and looked after us well throughout the evening. Then... Nigel's delights started arriving... I have on several occasions told friends this was the best 3 courses of food I have enjoyed out in something like 20 years!!! (That includes some tough competition with a few Michelin stars included!) If you are within 50 miles of this place make the journey - I certainly will next time I am anywhere in Cornwall.(Just to give some perspective to my recommended dish below - I do not normally bother with a dessert!!!)Looking forward to seeing you guys again!James & Helen.

We enjoyed the most wonderful meal, in fact one of the most memorable meals I have had for some time. I will visit this treasured part of Cornwall again to visit here again. The staff are as wonderful as the food. Carefully selected and helpful wine menu to complement the delightful menu. I chose the chicken and soufflé which was delicious. The food and visit will remain with me for a lifetime. Thank you for a wonderful, incredible, delicious, First Class and memorable experience.

What a wonderful experience the five star reviews are definitely worthy as the food and service is exceptional. I had the crab linguine which was gorgeous followed by the John Dory with curry sauce and fennel and the blackberry soufflé with lemon ice cream and cream Anglaise is to die for. The staff are so attentive and friendly which makes for a lovely experience we will most definitely be back.

Wow !!!!. What an absolute hidden gem. I cannot praise eadies kitchen enough. The food is superb that’s probably an understatement And that is so well complimented by the front of house staff. I have had some delightful meals in my lifetime but this is probably overall the very best.

Dined here last night. Chose Edie’s as it is an independent restaurant with amazing reviews and the menu looked good. Fantastic and well done guys in all aspects. I went with 4 girlfriends to celebrate my 50th. The moment I walked in I felt special. I cannot fault anything the food is amazing, staff is fantastic, friendly and attentive. The cocktails are fabulous. Will be back very soon. Well done team.

From making our booking with Kelly (Owner) and Katherine (Manager) to being served Fabulous Food (made by Nigel, the Raymond Blanc Trained Chef) by Shannon and Edie (Owner's Daughter) we could not fault the friendly but courteous service we experienced last night at this Unassuming but Amazing Eaterie. The food was simply sumptuous and every dish was prepared and cooked to perfection. We both chose Butternut Squash Soup which was nothing short of perfect. My wife then chose a Melt-in-the-Mouth Twice Baked Stilton Shuffle whilst I continued with the whitest of white Hake served with Lyonnaise Potatoes and Samphire which went down a treat. To finish we decided to share a Devine Blackberry Shuffle served with a scoop of Tangy Lemon Ice Cream and topped off with a small jug of Creme Angles. To sum up ...... The best food, by far, we had eaten during our trip to Cornwall. One to try without doubt. Only problem is getting a reservation because quite understandably, this restaurant, is booked for days and days ahead. So a word of warning ...... This place is so good you must book well in advance. It will be well worth it.

A group of 5 of us had a lovey lunch at Edie’s. Tasty food, great veggie options, DREAMY dessert and all for really good value. Feels like a lovey family run friendly establishment. We can’t wait to come back

Desde entonces concurro con frecuencia tanto para disfrutar de un brunch con amigas, un almuerzo de trabajo o una cena romantica. porque simplemente no existe en Cornwall otro lugar que ofrezca un menu diferenciado, con precios razonables y atencion al cliente de excelencia. Jamas me he sentido decepcionada con la comida y la calidez del lugar y el equipo de trabajo. Alta cocina sin pretensiones. Una joya.

Well that was a complete surprise. Booked as near to our place of stay and the menu looked nice. I wouldn’t expect to find such quality on a little row of shops. It was fantastic. Both my husband and I were quite literally blown away by the level of skill the chefs showed(very well done to the team) and the service from the girls (again very well done). The last time we had food to this level was at the Mirabelle restaurant at the Grand hotel in Eastbourne, and they are a 5 star establishment. You guys easily matched them. So, thank you so much for making our stay in Carlyon bay an even more memorable one. Rita and Nic

Had dinner here during a week in South Cornwall. The restaurant is in a parade of shops and doesn't have the prettiest of settings, but it really mattered not a jot because the food, service and staff were all wonderful. The menu was reassuringly concise but had enough choice for everyone. We all had three courses, and everything was well presented and delicious, and clearly made by someone who cares about food. The kitchen is semi-open and we were able to watch the food being plated, which was fun. The staff were relaxed in a confident, knew-what-they-were-doing sort of way, and the timings between courses was perfect. Everything was easily as good if not better than many more well-known, more expensive restaurants we've visited in the area over the years of holidaying in Cornwall. Will definitely return.

We ate at lunchtime and took advantage of the the price fixe menu. We were welcomed as if old friends revisiting, the staff were lovely and friendly and we automatically at ease and relaxed. A chilled bottle of tap water was automatically brought to the table. The soufflé and basil and tomatoes soup were devine so we already had high hopes for our mains and deserts. We had the Hake and Chicken as mains and the tarragon jus on the Chicken was delicious. Deserts were delicious and presentation throughout was stunning. We had the bitter chocolate torte and the lemon pan Scott’s which were perfectly balanced. Please see menu for choices as I’ve abbreviated them which makes them sound plain which they definitely are not. The bill was presented on request and then you pay on the way out where again we were treated like returning guests and had a nice chat with the owner. Would go back in a heartbeat, a lovely time was had thank you Edie’s Kitchen staff for a lovely time ❤️

This is definitely our new favourite place to eat The most delicious food, with incredible taste combinations (that Seabass ), coupled with fantastic, friendly service and a lovely, intimate ambiance set by the unobtrusive background music.We had the tomato and basil soup with cheese on toast / smoked bacon potato cake for starters, followed by the fillet steak / seabass, bacon, clams and charred sweetcorn. All of which was so delicious, beautiful and well thought out. The puddings - chocolate and malt tart / lemon panacotta - were to die for!The staff were attentive without intruding, and the social distancing measures were effective without impinging on the service - a balance many others have failed at.We can't recommend it enough, and looking forward to returning soon!

We are locals and visited Edies Kitchen tonight for the 1st time. It was faultless, top food and top service! Our waitress Abby was brilliant too. A highly recommended restaurant and we will definitely be going back. Well worth a visit, you will mot be disappointed

We were a large family visiting Cornwall and Edies kitchen was the best meal of our holiday. The owners and staff were all helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic. We all enjoyed the food and would highly recommend you come here to eat.

Where to start. Staff are wonderful and considerate. Parking outside.Food was lovely. Every dish was gorgeous. Soufflé light as a feather. Flavours to savour. Must visit place if you can secure a booking!By far one of the nicest places you will find to dine.

Our first visit was yesterday 13/8/2020 with my partner daughter , brother and his partner we found the staff to be friendly and very efficient , the food was fabulous complements to the chef edie’s mum was great as where the other girls . Fresh food and an excellent menu! My daughter Sophia was made to feel a part of the team by handing the chef a order and calling ticket a nice touch ,we liked it so much we are here again tonight which has been the same experience a must visit

Visited this little gem whilst on a short break in CharlestownThe food was outstanding, the chef is very talented and the service was first class, Two of us had hake which was well cooked and beautifully presented, the others had fillet which again was cooked to perfectionThis restaurant will definitely be on the top of our list to visit again

Cheese Souffle, chicken and skate wing we had were so perfect! Amazing food and drinks. So happy we stumbled over this restaurant. The staff were so welcoming and lovely too. Thankyou for a great night, really recommend.
