Fantastic meal on sat 16th march for a 30th birthday party It was a large sized party but nothing was too much hassle for the staff The food was beautiful Everything was amazing Thank you so much for making the evening special for my son

My family has been getting takeaways from the Eastern Tandoori since the 90s and they always exceeded expectations. My only regret is that we have only recently discovered how much of a delight it is to have a meal in their restaurant. Everything we’ve had is delicious and the service is top notch, friendly, fun and efficient. Ards secret treasure really is the best way to describe the Eastern Tandoori! It’s also super value for money. My personal recommendation is the Garlic chilli chicken!

Now has a sit in minimum spend per person of £18 or else they round your bill up to that. That's more than a main course plus rice each, so could be a problem if anyone shares a main course which our kids would have done.

Visited tonight to avail of their fantastic £19 meal deal. Had onion bhajees (sp.?) to start, which were both beautifully cooked, and plentiful, too! For main, I had Tandoori Nagpuri - a new dish for me - but it was absolutely sensational!! The wonderful server was extremely happy to find that right dish for me, and was great in suggesting he would ask his chef to 'up' the spice levels a bit, and add plenty of fresh garlic and coriander (which I love!) The curry was accompanied by a garlic naan, which was both delicious and moreish, and perfect for mopping up my delicious sauce! All in all, Eastern Tandoori is a fantastically bright, modern & extremely clean restaurant with great food and wonderful service. Give this place a go, folks - you definitely won't regret it!!!

Great Indian food. Superb flavours and well presented. We got Chicken Pasanda with Peshwari Naan and Pilau rice to take out and it was lovely. Very courteous service. Highly recommended.

Don't eat a lot of Indian food so I've nothing to compare it to but what I've had here has always been very tasty. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful too.

We had dinner here last Wednesday. As we have been here many times we knew what we wanted. Lamb Punjabi masala really good. My wife had the lamb tikka masala it was super. Service was great as always. Thank you chef for a wonderful dinner. Jim and Lorraine

Visited this restaurant with my partner on a Saturday evening. On arrival we were seated immediately by a very polite waiter and our drinks order taken straight away. Drinks arrived promptly and food order taken. All the food was excellent and tasted fresh and authentic. Prices were reasonable and all the waiting staff very polite and efficient. Some of the other establishments I have visited lately could learn a thing or two from this place. Five stars all round. Will definitely be back.

Went for a meal tonite, havent had Indian food in years and decided out of the blue to go in I was not disappointed. The service was perfect, friendly atmosphere and the food just gorgeous.we got onion bahji and the poppadoms starters and I got chicken curry and chips partner got korma and pilau rice and a keenan bread safe to say we can hardly move an hour later very generous portions curry's had loads of chicken in and was just so flavoursome.with 2 soft drinks. I'll def be going back again 5stars from me.. Not to pricey either under 50 pound can't b bad to that..

Friendly helpful staff and fantastic food

I really enjoy the Eastern Tandoori food. We are a family who likes sweet dishes and spicy ones and both are always delicious with generous portions. I have being trying different ones every time I order and haven't being disappointed. We have being in the seat in area when open and now we do the take away. The staff is attentive, kind and helpful when you ask for advice. We highly recommend.

For the folks that can't do 'hot' or intense spices very well, you wouldn't go wrong with a Chicken Biriyani from the Eastern Tandoori. Packed full of chicken, tasty 'gravy'/ sauce and a mildly flavoured pilau rice. Add a Peshwari naan if you're very hungry, and it's a tasty takeaway Curry House meal for less than £12 quid. GORGEOUS 😋😋😋😋😋

I got delivery from this restaurant this evening as I am wanting to try new Indian food having only had it a few times before. I was expecting a long wait for delivery but it arrived very quickly! The butter chicken is amazing and the aloo gobi and saag paneer as side dishes and they were delicious. Naan and poppadoms were also lovely. Very tasty and good value for money as I have a lot of leftovers. Would definitely recommend ordering from this restaurant and will be back again to try something new.

No consistency with food, poor quality, hard and chewy chicken. Tarda Dahl was tasteless. Bread was dried out Complaints were badly dealt with, 30% off our next meal was offered, when 100% of the meal was ruined There won’t be a next time!

There is only 1 place in Northern Ireland to feel and to taste such delicious Indian food and amazing hospitality. Well search no further. Come to Bokara main St Bangor.

At last our favorite restaurant has reopened for sit in dining. It was well worth the wait as the food was absolutely delicious. The service was superb and all the covid regulations were adhered to. Really good lamb masala (melt in your mouth) Lamb tika masala also superb. Clean plates all round. Thank you chef for a great meal and serving staff for being attentive but not intrusive. We are mostly having it as a take away. Food has always been delicious and staff pleasant and friendly. Having tried other places for Indian food, this is definitely our favourite!

1st visit to Eastern Tandoori, won’t be the last. Fabulous, tasty food. Melt in the mouth lamb and chicken. Best Indian food we’ve had for many years. Certainly won’t be our last visit. Well done and thank you

Had a kebab I think it was deep fried bland tasteless and like an oil slick will not go back there

I ordered a takeaway for myself and my husband, it wasn't cheap as it cost me £25.20. The collection time was supposed to be 6.50pm, but at 6.30pm I noticed a message on my phone that had been there for about 5 minutes,telling me that my food was ready to collect. When I got there I climbed the stairs and at the top I was told rather rudely to go back down the stairs and wait at the bottom, at this stage I was really cross as I have arthritis in my knee and having to walk up and down stairs twice unnecessarily was sore on my knee. The girl could do with taking a course on being pleasant to customers. If I hadn't of already paid for my food I would have left and told them to keep their takeaway. The food was not piping hot when I got home as it had been sitting for at least 20 minutes on a table before I collected it. It was nice food although I will think twice before I go back to either sit in or get a takeaway again in the future.

Driver left the food on the doorstep and never rang the bell or knocked the door, so phoned the restaurant to see where it was, to be told we got it and it was delivered. Went out and there it was sitting on the step stone cold and soggy. Rang the restaurant to be blatantly told no we arnt sending another one,my partner then rang to be told they would send another but we had to pay the delivery driver £3! Jokers, so in the bin it went , we had to contact just eat who refunded us, they have just lost. themselves a regular customer because of the stupidly of their delivery driver and the shocking customer of the guy on the other end of the phone.

I would give it 5 star for food and service. The people are lovely, I gave it 4 stars as it's up some fairly steep stairs. Only reason been a few times, and I've always had a great meal. I would recomend.

First time in restaurant, service and food was fantastic!!! Can definitely recommend butter chicken, best yet!! The food was tasty and we'll proportioned through the dining experience and the service was attentive without being overpowering!! Will definitely be back!!!!

My parents are regular visitors to this fine establishment. My family and I are never disappointed by this restaurant; they continually set standards of the highest order. Three of us ordered off the Christmas set menu and my mother ordered from the main menu. My father and I had the mixed vegetable starter, my brother the chicken tikka and my mother the sash kebab, all of which provided the fusion of flavours we so much crave. For our mains my mother and I had the creamy chicken jalfrezi, my father had a vegetable jalfrezi, while my brother indulged in a sumptuous chicken tikka masala. Forthwith, all were outstanding once more. Wonderful authentic flavours, which wet the appetite for more, carpe diem of a desire. The two waiters are fine, well mannered young gentlemen, that provide outstanding service. Both are a credit to this restaurant! Outstanding.

Went to restaurant with my husband had a beautiful meal and a few drinks they where selling 300mls ofF Budweiser bottles and charging £3.30 a bottle and it also said not to be sold separately you can buy a case in Asda for £12

We have not been here for a while. Always good food and service. No difference this visit. My wife had the king prawn chat,really good. Vegetable curry and lamb pungabi masala both were excellent and absolutely delicious. Service was good and the bill with drinks included was very reasonable. Cannot fault this place with food or customer service (nothing is every too much for the team they have) the reason why it's probably been going for so long. Half price wednesdays are a hit and me and my familys go to restaurant co down area. A must try thanks eastern 👌

I have visited the restaurant and number of times - sit in and take away. Each time the food keeps getting better!The prices are great and equally so are the staff. I would recommend the Vindaloo, it’s not so warm you can’t enjoy it and the depth of flavours really come through. Also - excellent house red!I look forward to visiting many more times.

Lovely place! Definitely recommend it

Following a good meal and excellent service from our young waitress who I believe was called Amy I settled my bill by card and asked Amy if I include my tip on my card are the tips split as we thought she deserved it. My wife and I were shocked when she told us she was not allowed to receive any tips. My wife insisted in giving her some cash anyway and as we were leaving we saw a conversation taking place between Amy and a member of staff. Amy then went over and put the tip in the till and left. My wife asked the other girl who was working behind the counter where she was and a member of staff informed me she went outside for some air. When we left we saw Amy outside crying. We wanted to speak to the owner but she didn't want us to. Feeling annoyed about this I later contacted the member of staff who I spoke to when leaving to address my disappointment seeing a young girl sitting crying outside and the fact that she gets awarded with nothing for doing a good job. He said he didn't get tips either. Following my conversation with the member of staff it later transpires that our tips go to the chef and no one else which I find disgusting. My wife and I are regular diners at many local restaurants in the town and we will definitely not be back at Eastern Tandoori. I believe my tips should be shared.

I have been going here regularly and I have to say the front house is one of the best customer service I've been welcomed by. Not sure of the young guys name but he welcomed us and sat us down and explained the menus thoroughly as it was half price Wednesday's I believe and I was unsure if it was just for certain dishes to my surprise it was most dishes! Me and my sister, brother and parents spent half the price in one night because we went on a Wednesday which I find spectacular. I got medium spiced jalfrazi and I will be ordering now every weekend first choice as I will find it hard to be beaten. Chefs and staff fantastic will be back!

Got to say worst Indian takeaway meal ever. Took 1hr 20mins to arrive. When it came food was look warm . Flavourless. Lamb tough. Chips cold and not cooked through. Sorry but 3/4 of the food went in the bin.

Went for dinner. ( Half price during week.). The staff were genuinely friendly and polite and food amazing! Menu well set out and allergy information included beside each dish. Service is efficient. Nice decor and cosy interior. Would be a nice place for that special dinner. Will definitely be back.

Went here for an early evening after watching Ireland lost at the cricket. I have reviewed this restaurant before and have given it good comments. This time was no exception. Hang your head in shame. A 15yr old boy trying to earn some pocket money gets rewarded by the owner and another staff member with them calling him a fat whale and whale c*nt. Environmental health also needs to investigate the chef smoking while cooking and serving customers out of date vegetables, sauce and poppadoms. You won't be getting any custom from me or my family

Ordered a takeaway, got 5 small pieces of chicken and the sauce was like water. Complained to the so called manger who has no customer service at all. Very rude on the phone and far from helpful. Plenty of other lovely Indians in the area so you are best going to them and staying clear of the Eastern Tandoori.

We have reviewed the eastern tandoori before and have given it super reviews. Dinner last night for 4 was again was as always really good. Starters really good and the main courses were absolutely superb. Lamb melts in your mouth and the chicken korma was well received. Empty plates all round. We had a table for 4 for dinner last night. We know this restaurant well and have never had a bad meal. Last night was no exception. Two had chicken dishes both cleared their plates. My wife and I both had lamb which was tasty and melt in your mouth. Good service. Excellent meal thank you. Jim and Lorraine.

Haven't had a bad experience yet. Best Indian food. Can sometimes be difficult to know what to order but pakora chicken is incredible followed by chicken korma. Not a lot off options for desserts. Ice cream or banana split. Filter coffee only. Friendly staff and nice surroundings.

We get a takeaway delivered every week and have never been disappointed yet. I was really surprised to hear the guy was disappointed with his Lamb, and as he mentioned switching allegiance to Carrick, I'm wondering was it really a Newtownards restaurant he reviewed?

He ido a la oriental Tandoori Restaurante muchas veces, esta noche era tan buena como en cualquier otro, la comida era fantástica, de principio a fin. Había 5 y nada envió. Recomiendo este restaurante a todo el que disfruta de una comida india realmente bueno.

Llegamos directamente después del trabajo. Recibimos una sonrisa de dos camareros. Este es un pequeño gesto que tantos lugares, pero es extremadamente acogedor descuido. La comida era estupenda. Era tranquilo cuando estuvimos allí, pero el servicio era de primera categoría. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra noche.

Tenía un cordero biryani esta noche y fue muy decepcionante, tengo que decir. Cordero (carnero) estaba seco, duro y duro (a pesar de las garantías era agradable y tierna) y en lugar de ser un recipiente de aluminio más grande (ya que) fue puesto en un recipiente mediano y parecía arroz miserables. Sin aderezos, pétreas y horrible. La carne creo fue preparado hace siglos y sólo recalentadas en el microondas. 4 picaduras y dio a mi agradecido labrador. No hay excusas si acabara perdido un 100 libras. 00 un mes o una vez a la semana y sólo vosotros cuenta que culpar. . . . . . Vuelvo a Mayur en Carrick.

Waited nearly 40 mins for meals and food was good while looking across I noticed another couple getting up and leaving as the waitress was very rude to them.she carried on swearing to other women who were on a girls night and seemed to ignore the rest if the customers

Recientemente mi pareja y yo hemos estado aquí dos veces y me sorprende por lo bien que la comida y el servicio. El personal nos saludó con una sonrisa y una bienvenida, y hacían ambas ocasiones fantástico!

Me encanta mi comida india y siempre esperamos que como un lujo. Yo había pedido un Jalfrezi y un pollo tikka masala. Siempre pida un Jalfrezi como es mi plato favorito! Pero lo que recibí, definitivamente no era como cualquier Jalfrezi que he probado jamás! Fue tan malo que no podía comer. Todo iba en la papelera! Tikka masala, junto con el que normalmente no se puede equivocar! No volver jamás, y definitivamente no lo recomendaría a mis amigos.

Wrong order prepared. Refused to deliver correct order as outside delivery range. ... refused to send by taxi as would cost too much. Only interested in money, not customer loyalty

My family orders from here regularly, and the food is consistently good. Vegetarian dishes are also very good. I have never been eaten in but with regard to takeaway I can totally recommend this.

We ordered a carry out from this restaurant, we were told that delivery was 45mins. I told them that was fine. I half expected it be with us in no more 30 mins because they always build time in to their estimates. After 65mins we rang and were told he was just pulling up to the door 25mins later i rang again. He said he would ring the driver, he came back to say he had got lost! I asked him if he had been driving around for 30mins with our food; reply......yes. £31 for cold indian. Actually i'm not sure why im giving it 2 stars!

Food is lovely, although we usually get a carry out. The restaurant is nice, not particularly Indian decor... The staff are friendly and always welcoming.

We have been here a few times & every time has been lovely. Really enjoyed the Madras & Peshwari Naan last time. .. would strongly recommend this place to anyone. Staff also extremely pleasant & attentive. Reasonably priced & a thoroughly enjoyable meal :)
