Every time i have been here i have had a lovely time. Food is fabulous. Best chinese in liverpool and the service is spot on. Staff are so pleasant and the place is spotless. Will be back. The place was chocka but we never waited and everything was fresh and hot. Lovely place.

Food was absolutely delicious.

It was ok but the chips were soggy and hard in bits and also my won tons were bad

I did not receive any food at all with this order!!! Waited for 2 hours and it still said it was being prepared 😒 checked this morning and it says it was delivered? Full refund please.

starter nice, main meals cold and tasteless, vermicelli had 8 prawn and virtually no meat or taste. the chicken meal was cold and needs seasoning. chips cold and tasteless. would not order again.

Always warm welcome at the Eastern Diner. Great selection of food always served piping hot.

Special fried rice lovely, Special chow mein tasty, nice fresh king prawns.

Lovely meal, in a nice relaxed restaurant. The service was spot on and I will definitely be going back.

45 minutes for delivery which was fine but at £32 without delivery, for the lack of food we got which was mediocre is absolutely appalling. Ordered a salt and pepper bundle and a starter combination and it was not even enough for two adults and a child. Will not be ordering from here again.

Overpriced vegetable Singapore noodles. Would have expected more veg and more variety of veg as it is charged at the same price point as the meat version. Disappointing.

Went as a family of 10, food was fabulous, hot and freshly cooked, lovely friendly atmosphere, staff were brilliant, we all really enjoyed the evening, would certainly visit again...

Very poor quality ingredients and I was very disappointed.

I love the food here, I'm far enough away that they don't always deliver, but its always worth the drive!

My wife and I have dinner service was quite good Just got menu and waiter asked would I like to order meals Said I have not opened the menu book yet Ribs were donkey I think very tough To much onion in main meal wife’s boiled rice was lumpy and soggy Staff could bot wait to get you served and out the door Also be careful as the bill as a 10% service charge which people sometime miss Have not been there for many years Afraid I will not be going back again Very disappointed Tommy

We had the B banquet which was excellent. At £29 per head I thought it was a little steep but there was plenty of it and we ended up taking quite a bit home. All the dishes were very good, especially I loved the hot and sour soup. Everything was hot. The only downer was that the ribs, whilst crispy and tasty because of the sauce, had very little meat on them. But that was the only disappointment. Staff were courteous and helpful. We did not feel rushed at all- which can be a problem in some chines restaurants. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The air con was on, which we appreciated because of the heatwave; although it did go off after a couple of hours. the moist hand towels which were replaced twice throughout, were a nice touch Altogether a great experience. Would recommend.

The curry sauce gave me stomach cramps

Me and my family love it here. The food is always so good and the staff are lovely. We love to salt and pepper ribs. We also get delivery from here and it’s Lways really good quality.

Got two wonton soup and a portion of salt and pepper Sui Mai. Very meh. The soup was very very very bland. The sui mai were nice but it's 6.50 for four of them. Might be nicer if I got a meal but overall can't see me going back

Big family dinner at the Eastern Diner Liverpool UK. Eight of us for dinner and we were well looked after. Food was great and plenty of it. Ordered Hot & Sour soup-excellent. Chicken & sweetcorn soup-excellent. Mains were Deep fried chicken in honey & lemon sauce, fried chicken with green pepper in black bean sauce, deep fried shredded beef in chili sauce plus many others. Highly recommend this place. 193 pounds for 8- bargain.

Amazing staff and out of this world food. Best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten got a set menu and it was great value plus we even took some home! Can’t thank the staff enough for amazing service, will certainly be back!

Got a banquette for two was not impressed with this guy nice lovely restaurant receiving Blind soup, chilli chicken like rubber, fatty char sui. All I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID

Delivered with a smile 😊 food delicious. The best deep fried shredded beef in chilli sauce I’ve tasted. Plenty of sauce not overloaded with green pepper. Not to be missed

Lovely tasty hot food and good portions the banquet was excellent friendly staff and Place , although your hit with service charge at the end but I suppose this is norm now with costs of living rises and bills rising in restaurants plus staff wages 👍 😊

Last Saturday we ordered a lot of food to take away and it was a disaster! Viniger and sugar in the sweet and sour dishes, and the plum sauce was exactly the same as the tragic sweet and sour source. I phoned them to make a complaint and a lady said she would process it by Friday this week. We still haven't received the money.

Price is too high for the quality of food, I expected better. Rice was stodgy and sticky. Poor ingredients used king prawns were rubbery. Chips looked like they had been fried a few times. Sorry, I won't use again.

Took 1.5 hours to deliver, ordered at 6.00pm on a Sunday night, squashed and greasy inedible springs rolls, worst we've ever had, rest of food was cold and had to be microwaved to eat, have previously given this restaurant 5/6 stars but something has gone terribly wrong here

Really nice food, great service, try banquet B, it has all the good stuff. With couple of drinks for 2 with the banquet came to £70, the tip is included btw.

My partner and I came here for valentine's day. The food was ok but then a group of 9 14 year olds came in and sat in the centre acting like children do. It ended up being an over priced meal with service charge already applied. Disappointed.

Visited on Friday with a friend and my son . Restaurant was freezing cold, (waiter was walking around in a thick coat). They had one little blow heater at the front of the restaurant, where the waiters stood 😂. It’s also like stepping into a big open canteen at school, needs a refurb. Food was so, so, but far too expensive. One to avoid.

Haven't been here for a year when it was just nice but attended today and it was really nice... We had banquet B which had the usual, chicken sweet corn soup, assorted platter, duck pancakes then 3 course main meal. Everything was really tasty, hot and with enough time between courses that you didn't feel you are on a conveyer belt towards the exit. The staff were very polite and not too attentive but just enough. With a few drinks it was sub £70 with service charge included on the tip.

The food quality was great, unfortunately the quantity of the main dish crispy chilli beef along with the condiments of hoi sin sauce salad onion/cucumber where really very sparse. Quite disappointed with that.

Shocking. You state delivered at 19.35. It finally arrived at 20.10pm I called restaurant twice. First time they said it had just come out of kitchen & was with the driver at 19.23pm & the second time I called they said tge drivers car wasn’t working & when it finally arrived, the staff member not a driver said ‘they were extremely busy tonight - no mention of lateness or broken car???

Order was late, restaurant communicated well when contacted and gave another time to be delivered. Refunded part of bill. Prawn toast didn't seem cooked properly.. spring rolls lovely - ribs and chicken wings not very tasty, maybe just not to my liking. Usually enjoy food from here. Maybe it was rushed?

Nice food, and delivered on time. But I think for a takeaway, 3.00 for boiled rice is a bit much on top of the main course which doesnt automatically come with rice. The spring rolls at 5.00 are also a bit expensive for what you get. I would think more carefully about what I order next time to keep costs to around 15 instead of 20gbp per head. Realise these are tough economic times for restaurants too, but still.

Arrived on time & was very hot. Really pleased with the salt & pepper bundle although not a lot of chips in it and the ‘traditional’ sui mais were not to my liking but still nice. Soft noodles were lovely and so was the fried rice & prawn toast. Would definitely order here again although slightly on the pricey side

Delivered late and one dish was missing. I phoned the restaurant and they said they’d refund the cost but haven’t received it yet.

Thank you Eastern Diner chefs! Our tea tonight was as good as being there in the restaurant. Fresh, hot, so tasty. My husband says that’s the best char Sui wonton noodle soup he’s found yet! And I asked for some cashew nuts in my black bean and they put them in for me. Thank you so much!

Eastern Diner's prices are considerably higher than the majority of local takeaways. Unfortunately, the quality and taste of their food is not significantly higher than the majority of local takeaways. I don't mind paying a premium for food, provided that it's of premium quality taste-wise. Sadly, the the food I ordered was just average at best, and in no way represented value for money when compared with food of a similar or better standard from other takeaways.

Food really tasty. Excellent choice. Although a little more expensive than other Chinese restaurants. They don't do any specials menu except the banquets. This would be a good selling point given the cost of living increases right now. Service is very quick, attentive and efficient. Staff are very friendly.
